My partner and I saw this place on TikTok and have been wanting to try their ghost drinks ever since! Unfortunately the day we went they ran out of the ube ghost and only the PB fluff was left. It was not very good... No flavor and unsweetened. We went on a Sunday around 11am. We waited over 40 minutes when we were told it was going to be a 15 minute wait. I am totally okay with waiting over an hour for a place but I just wished we were told a non-sugar coated time. On top of that, when I went inside to check on the waitlist after 40 minutes, there were 2 other parties of 2 below us on the waitlist that were already given seats... A bit unfair to me. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other diners. My loaded baked potato omelette was supposed to come with sour cream but didn't, leaving it a bit dry. And my partner got a pancake combo that was supposed to come with sausage but it never came either. The server was kind and you can tell she was trying her best but it was just so busy. The food is more affordable than other places and there are lots of options. Perhaps if we went on a weekday it would have been better.
My sister and I really love this place and haven't had a chance to visit since the ownership change. It still has that same cozy vibe of the old hidden kitchen, but with a more condensed menu and some fun coffee options. The service is always top tier.

My husband had the omelette with home fries and toast which was awesome. I had the pancakes which I found to be too dry and thick. Our son had a short stack of pancakes - one was burnt, the other was raw in the middle. Although I would not order pancakes here again, I will definitely try the Eggs Benedict next time. I feel that their menu offers a nice selection of options for anyone to find something they would enjoy. Definitely looking forward to visiting this adorable place again.
My daughter brought me here today for a Pre-Mother's Day Brunch. It's a cute little place. We were seated right away at the last available table. Our server, Nicole, was very attentive and friendly. The menu is EXTENSIVE and it took a bit for us to decide what we wanted. I ordered the Wild Bill's Omelet and my daughter had the Avocado Toast with a side of bacon. Both were delicious. We each also had a traditional and margarita mimosa. We liked the original better, but they were both good. Overall great experience. We'll definitely be back.
Our time here was the bomb! The workers are super friendly, patient and efficient. The place is cozy, not too big but well spaced out so I recommend calling before coming in if it's a holiday. This place is a favorite for sure. Their menu has A LOT to choose from and they have unique items they've created here (like the churro waffle). We ordered a variety of breakfast food which was all cooked perfectly. I think about their bacon at night. We tried out their mimosas and also enjoyed them! Now we have to come in for lunch food to confirm that everything they have is perfection. Cannot wait to come back into this business and 100% recommend it to anyone around. 10/10
I have been here several times. I am going to work my way through this gigantic menu. They have so many cool foods and unique foods. Their food is delicious. I have never had a bad meal there. Their staff is super friendly, and they always steer me in the right direction of what I Should pick that day, since I'm always choosing between three or four items. I definitely recommend the breakfast nachos. I like to try to order a main meal, and then one of the unique French toast, pancakes or Waffles. I like to share with whomever is at the table with me. This place is also a good size and it's adorable.
One of my favorite spots for breakfast. They serve lunch as well and I've no doubt that everything is delicious. On this latest visit, I chose the Chaffinch Omelet. Bacon, Granny Smith apples, and brie stuff this super fluffy omelet. Absolutely scrumptious!

For us, it is a long ride and the place needs some major updating. However, the staff is friendly and the menu has an amazing variety of selections. I had the Elvis stuffed French toast again. The owners really try to please!
Since it's Thanksgiving weekend, I remembered that great Gobbler sandwich I had last summer. I decided to order and pick it up to go. This sammy is crazy good. I wolfed it down as soon as I got home. There was so much turkey, I even shared some with the doggos. The place had a line out the door waiting to be seated for breakfast which they serve on Sundays till 1:30pm. I still can't believe I haven't eaten breakfast here yet. Next time!
Best breakfast in Connecticut with ENORMOUS portions! Be prepared to wait on busy weekend days and holidays, but don't get discouraged, because the food is worth it! Get their biscuits and gravy made with local sausage, or one of their fresh, house-made muffins, and try a brunch cocktail!
Great local restaurant with an awesome menu, friendly staff and creative cooking. So hard to choose what to eat. My favorite is the fig, goat cheese prosciutto and arugula frittata! And the other choices are just as creative and tasty. Have been back several times.
Amazing food What great little place Great service!!! Was only upset because I don't live closer because there were so many great sounding dishes and my food didn't disappoint at all Didn't Suck!!!

Always looking for a new coffee/brunch place to try and this didn't disappoint! They had a wide range of sweet and savory options and a long list of seasonal specials. As a self-proclaimed specialty latte connoisseur I was really happy with their butterscotch latte and am excited to go back and try their other creative flavors! Service was quick and the staff were super kind. Would definitely recommend! read more

Tried on a recommendation and since I love breakfast, we went. Got there a little late for breakfast but waitress said hurry and we'll get it done. Got a combo with eggs, sausage, home fries, and pancakes. The eggs were outstanding. Best in a restaurant in a long time. My banana crunch pancakes were s one and done. They were tasty but would get a different flavor next time. Now, the ultimate no-no was my burnt home fries. I can't believe they actually served them to me. The waitress said some order them like this but I most certainly did not. She brought out new ones but still burnt residue on most. I will skip those next time. read more
We drove over half an hour because I read they have biscuits and gravy. It's a southern staple but hard to find up here. Oh, I love biscuits and gravy. So they did have them but sadly not southern style with breakfast sausage. I guess this is Italian style as it was made with sweet Italian sausage. Good not what I was looking and hoping for. I've never seen so much sausage in a breakfast gravy but actually it was too much. Not enough gravy to soak into or sop up with the biscuits. Biscuits tend to be dry these included and need the sauce. My wife got the mango stuffed French Toast. In fact she was the first to order. These were different the portions generous and good. The staff was friendly prices ok. We'll be back but not for the B&G. I guess mine are still the beyond the state. Unless someone has suggestions. read more

Exceptional service, friendly atmosphere, delicious food. My boys (ages 6 & 2) and I braved coming in this morning for breakfast. I say braved because typically my husband is with us and the thought of me taking them alone could have been a total disaster, but we braved it nonetheless. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and felt welcomed. The boys even patiently waited to be seated. Normally, I would have to whip out iPads, coloring activities, trucks and the kitchen sink to entertain them, but none of this was needed. They were perfectly content admiring the vast array of different hot sauces to choose from on our table and were just happy to be there and going out to a special breakfast with mommy. I ordered an omelet with sausage, broccoli and American cheese. The boys each had a mickey mouse pancake, dazzled up with blueberries, raspberry sauce smiles and whipped cream bowties. Devoured. They even started stealing my omelet and bites of my toast when they were done with theirs. We ordered a bacon, double egg and cheese on a roll to go to bring home to my husband and packed up a warm blueberry muffin too. If you're looking for a kid-friendly breakfast, this is the spot. It's not just a Hidden Kitchen, it's a hidden gem. read more

Not nearly as impressive as the reviews indicate. Food is good quality and taste. .. but that's where it ends! We had 3 different waitresses, one seemed new and inexperienced and one seemed to be the owner. Service was not as would be expected from a place with such high reviews. We waited about 30-45 min to get a table. We got our drinks, then as we were trying to order, we asked for lemon.... the waitress immediately left without taking our order to get the lemon .... very rude & poor service. Idk why she just didn't take our order first. ... needless to say, we will not be back. read more

Everything about this place says "comfort" and "family." Today we all felt like a pancake day and we were so thrilled with everything! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating and the place has a homey, happy vibe! As I said we all got pancakes--Banana chocolate chip walnut, Apple Cinnamon, and my very favorite Boston Cream! How the chef manages to get THE.MOST.FLUFFY pancakes is incredible! The Apple Cinnamon were so delicious with many apple pieces in the batter--like pie in a pancake! It is a busy place on Sunday mornings, but I never feel rushed to eat and I truly enjoy the happy atmosphere. I forgot to mention the muffins!!! THEY ARE AMAZING! The variety and deliciousness make my heart (and stomach) sing! A regular Sunday breakfast place for my family forever!!! read more

My wife and I were brought to Hidden Kitchen by a good friend of ours. He's a regular there and has been recommending their food to us for a while. We went there for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. For my wife and I, this was the first time we had eaten at a restaurant since the pandemic started and we felt very safe. It was the first time our son ever ate at a restaurant, as he was born just a couple of weeks before the pandemic started. We were so impressed by the menu. Everything sounded so delicious; we had trouble choosing. We started off with some mimosas. They had some great choices. I ordered the Limoncello Mimosa and my wife had the Rainbows & Unicorns Mimosa (which contained marshmallows and rainbow sherbet). We were not disappointed. For our food, we shared the Buffalo Stampede Benedict and the HK Huevos Rancheros. The Benedict was amazing! The hollandaise was perfectly blended with Buffalo sauce, and the chicken cutlet was excellent. The Huevos rancheros were stuffed with delicious black beans and chipotle aioli. Sooooo good! Hidden Kitchen is definitely a place you want to discover! Luckily, the restaurant is easy to find and has menu items to satisfy both breakfast and lunch cravings. Despite this being my first review of HK, I have had weekend brunch here many times over the past several years. The restaurant is quite popular so for weekend breakfast/brunch there is often a wait. The staff and service are quick and efficient so the wait is never too long. However, this visit I arrived around 8am and was seated immediately. Once seated, I ordered a coffee to sip on as I sifted through their 2 large menus and specials page. With so many choices, there is something for everyone. One of their specials this weekend was a fresh fig frittata which had fresh fig, goat cheese, prosciutto, and arugula drizzled with a balsamic glaze. The combination of freshness, savoriness, and sweetness in this dish made me want to order this dish again and again. If you are feeling a libation with your meal, I would highly recommend the Bloody Mary. It's flavorful with the right amount of spice and served with a garnish of celery, olives, bacon, and their homemade cheddar jalapeno mini muffin! read more
