Sunny Side Grits
Tash M.

I was in town last Friday around lunchtime but I was looking for brunch and found this gem! We were seated right away and our server was great and attentive. It is a nice bright open space and the bar looked nice and cozy. There's also a few outdoor tables. I ordered the O.G. w/Muenster and a side of fries, the hubby ordered the Sunny Side Grits w/side of sausage. They both were sooo delicious. My egg was cooked to runny perfection and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The grits had a great creamy flavor and that dish was outstanding. Fries were also on point. I will definitely be back, worth the drive!

We are in the car, still raving about this little gram. Stopped in on a road trip, it was the best find. The service & ambiance were fabulous, and the FOOD! The food was outstanding. Now let's get to the star of the show- the music. This incredible playlist of some band doing covers in a jazz style. Basically, a much better version of modern jukebox. I asked siri, I asked shazam, I asked 2 different servers, no one knows who it is. They said the chef knows (but wouldn't ask him!) I told her I feel bad for the artist who is getting ZERO recognition! I followed them on IG, the server said the chef is supposed to release the playlist info there because people keep asking about it. I certainly hope that's true!

Clean plate club - fries were great too - made to order!

A wonderful place to stop for brunch/lunch. The food was very delicious! I had the mushroom toast & my wife had the Sunny Side Grits! These grits rivaled my own & were slap ya mom good! The first bite instantly had me thinking about my creole roots & all the good food I eat when I go & visit Louisiana because that's how good these grits were. The only thing I would've appreciated even more would've been some nicely seared shrimp & a bit of red eye gravy but the hot sauce set it off appropriately! The flavor profile of the mushroom toast was everything I needed in my life. I love a nice ricotta with chard elements, fresh green garnishment & vibrant acidic finishes. I added my own s&p because that's what I like, but it is also a perfect bite without s&p. This spot was a nice vibe, great music, excellent service & very tasty cocktails!

Good food, great morning music! Wish they had more on the menu but was great for a saturday morning

A wonderful breakfast place that elevates the location. Scrumptious and innovative breakfast. I had the u decided and it was great quality breakfast. I usually get the same thing at breakfast places but this one was really good. Salad and potatoes were a plus. And tried some grits and they were yummy. I'm. It really a grits person but saw the reviews and had to try. Anyway go here and you won't regret it. Service was friendly and place is hip inside.

Just came here for dinner! It's been great to see the place and their menu grow from just breakfast on weekends to all three meals on more days. We ordered a bunch of food to share and everything was great - croquettes, chicken and waffles, pork belly Mac and cheese, insalada di Roma. They also have their liquor license now and have some great wine selections. We were told beer will also be available in the new year. The owner came over to chat with us for a bit and it was great to hear more about his vision and experiences. Little Riggs is such a great addition to this neighborhood and I look forward to seeing their continued growth.

Little Riggs sits on the edge of the Stuart, McKinney National Wildlife refuge on the Long Island Sound. Riggs opened 6 months ago from Chef John Kronfeld, who operated the very successful breakfast truck, The Chef Truck, until he opened Little Riggs, transitioning his uniquely delicious breakfast menu into a sit down experience. To call this place a hidden gem isn't wrong, but this clichéd term is a tad overused these days... It's like a half buried treasure. Among the locals it isn't buried at all, and they have taken it by storm. This little outpost that seats just 30 in the wintertime, is slightly larger than a hole in the wall and certainly significantly more elevated. It's the type of place you want to go to for a leisurely comforting breakfast on a Sunday morning. But it's not just a breakfast joint, offering significantly more than just morning fare, and lucky for us who do love his breakfast menu, we can now enjoy it beyond traditional breakfast hours. Kronfeld has launched dinner service this week, and we will be the first in line. It was the purchase of a little food truck, The Chef Truck, in 2020 that would change the trajectory of Kronfeld's story. We all know what happened that year and yet, in spite of it all, Covid had been quite good to this little restaurant on wheels. The Chef Truck served customers from the parking lot of The Friki Tiki seasonal cocktail bar, and served guests who willingly stood on long lines for his unique and delicious breakfast menu. Fast forward to 2023. The property for the little tiki bar was up for sale, and Little Riggs was born in July of 2023. The menu is simple - Light Fare, Full plates, Sweet Starts, and Sammi's. Though the menu is small in size, it's huge in creativity and flavor. Every dish, and every name on the menu is a story unto itself. We started with a piping bowl of Sunny Side Grits, made with organic corn, white cheddar, beef lardons, Redeye hot sauce, scallions and a fried egg. These were by far the best grits I have had up in these parts - pure comfort and velvety smooth. The beef lardons were crispy without grizzle. The Sweet Corn Waffles are truly otherworldly. Everything Kronfeld creates is familiar until it isn't. Let's talk about the B-B-B-Benny. Everybody knows Eggs Benedict. This is so subtly and yet so wildly different. Here, two perfectly steamed eggs sit on top of delicious sweet corn waffles, topped with delicate slices of prosciutto, the familiar Hollandaise sauce and some micro greens for a lovely burst of color. Breakfast not your thing? Burgers are served after 11 AM. and with each burger you'

Absolutely adorable new neighborhood spot! Love what they did with the space and especially nice to have outdoor seating (puppy friendly!) Seems to still be working out the kinks and with having a small kitchen, service can be slow. But boy is the food worth it, especially the falafel wrap! So delicious, so crispy and fresh, I could eat it every day! Wish the menu had a few more "standard" things on it so I didn't have to venture into town (Turkey club, omelet, grilled chicken sammy etc.) However, can't wait to try their pop up pizza nights as well as more of their menu! P.S. The owner is absolutely wonderful! He was so friendly and made sure to ask not only our table but everyone around us how their meal was introduce himself. That goes a long way in my book!

This place ruined my wife's birthday dinner. Bad food, expensive, bad service, dirty, spilled wine, dirty water.

Sitting by the water gives the restaurant a laid back, summer seafood spot feel that makes it easy to enjoy your time there. That said, if you're looking for a restaurant with a wide variety of seafood options or more creative seafood preparations, this probably isn't the place to go. We started with the chips and guacamole appetizer, which tasted good, but the portion size was pretty small for the price. The raw little neck clams were one of the highlights of the meal, very fresh, clean tasting, and exactly what you'd want from a seafood spot. For entrées, the cod sandwich was surprisingly solid. It was a nice size, fairly priced, and felt like one of the better values on the menu. The ahi tuna wrap was also good overall, but it felt like it was missing a stronger or more flavorful dressing to really bring everything together. The lobster roll was decent, but for the price, there simply wasn't enough lobster in it to justify the cost. Overall, there were definitely some enjoyable parts of the meal, especially the fresh shellfish and the waterfront atmosphere. The biggest downside was the pacing of service, as there were long waits between dishes throughout the meal. Still, for a casual waterfront stop with straightforward seafood options, Nellie's delivers a decent experience.

I originally planned to sit at the bar since I was dining solo, but it was packed for happy hour (always a good sign). I ended up in the dining room instead, and honestly, it worked out great. Service was quick and attentive from the start. My server, Christina, checked in on me several times without being overbearing, and I really appreciated how often my water was refilled especially since I skipped alcohol this visit. For food, I went all in: a dozen oysters, bang bang shrimp bao buns, and salmon sushi rolls. I finished with the crème brûlée cheesecake (which I already knew I loved from their sister restaurant). Standouts for me were the oysters, the bao buns, and that cheesecake absolutely delicious. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, just a bit oversized for that perfect bite. Overall, a great experience with solid food and attentive service. I'll definitely be back maybe next time I'll snag a bar seat!
