What's not to love about Bella's?! I love their unique menu options that you won't find anywhere else. Their food was absolutely delicious!! We went early on a Saturday morning so there was no wait but it was starting to get busy as we left.

came here, January 4, 2026 and it was the greatest way to start the new year. As I said before Gordon Ramsay would be impressed. This is up there with the best food I've ever had in my life. Definitely top 10 places, and I am considered a foodie by anybody who knows me .. If you wanna get brownie points by friends, family, or coworkers, give them a gift card to this place --- delicious!! make sure to fast the day before !! portions are huge and the food is so good that you'll wanna finish it all!!! one word to describe this food would be divine

Let's start with saying every single employee working has the most impeccable hospitality service.....the owner here is doing something right!!!! What a comfortable experience dining here.....The menu is creative and chic you will want more than one item when ordering. Food portions are larger than most, however they do have the illusion of looking larger than they are, food seems to be creatively placed on plates for this reason. It works for us while we always enjoy the experience not just the food. Kudos Bella's, see ya soon!!

Best brunch in CT. Everything on the menu is amazing. We've been here 6-7 times. The most recent we had the Black and Blue and the Italian Grilled Cheese. Both are to die for.

Came back for round 2. Still as good as I remember it. Ordered Salmon egg Benedict. Wait was about 45 mins when arriving towards the end of their day like almost 1 PM. Ordered fresh OJ. So good. It's a cute place. Highly recommend.

Bella's is by far one of the best breakfast spots in New Haven! The food is always amazing with some signature staples like the challah French toast and they also have a seasonal menu that changes. Service is always great, the wait time can be long, but it is well worth it. The ambiance of the restaurant is very family friendly and quaint in the Westville area!

An adorable, homey breakfast-first place in New Haven that was a good brunch stopover. The decor is funky - all clocks and roosters, which i guess is to emphasize the breakfastness of the whole place. We got the shrimp & grits and the veggie omelet, and an order of Italian French bread to share. All of them were pretty darn tasty, and portions were big enough to feel like we needed to be rolled out afterwards.

It was my first time coming here and I went with a group of friends. We were lucky enough to be seated almost immediately and ordered a round of drinks. The drink i got was pretty good, not my favorite but it was ok. The food however was delicious. I had an eggs Benedict special with steak. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came more on the rare side but it was super tasty. All our eggs were cooked to perfection and the english muffin was also soon good - perfectly toasted! All in all, I plan to come back for their shrimp and grits.

Always loved the month of August. Perhaps it's because it's when all the birthday celebrations begin. Bella's Café was our breakfast destination for the first celebration and it did not disappoint. The food and the service was outstanding. The home fried potatoes were elegantly seasoned, and the eggs were cooked just right. The hot chocolate was divine and utilized dark chocolate for a lovely touch. No one would know that the owner Rose wasn't even there to supervise what a great job everyone was doing. Our waitress was warm and welcoming. The restaurant was clean, well organized, and it was a pleasure to see an entire staff that is truly happy to be at work. Customer satisfaction seemed to be everyone's goal as was evident in their smiles the entire time we were there.

Breakfast specialties are very generous and perfectly prepared. Staff greet you at the door but you need all parties present to get seated because the place is popular and not that big. The challah French toast was like a giant Cinnabon. The chorizo eggs Benedict is nicely prepared and tasty. The Italian sandwich was substantial. Worth the wait.

I've heard so many good things about Bella's and finally decided to check it out! My friends and I went to Bella's for a birthday brunch and we all enjoyed our food. The pancakes were so light and fluffy and the corned beef hash was so delicious! The restaurant was really packed for Saturday brunch and they don't take reservations so we had to wait for about an hour but it was well worth it. Im so excited to go back!

Here is why this spot remains a cornerstone of the Connecticut food scene. The Star of the Show: The "Elaine" Cut The absolute centerpiece of the menu is the Elaine cut of corned beef. For those who find standard deli meats a bit too lean or dry, the Elaine cut is a revelation. It is: * Perfectly Marbled: Expertly trimmed to retain just enough fat to keep the meat incredibly moist. * Melt-in-Your-Mouth: Steamed to a point where it practically falls apart under your fork. * Generously Portioned: They don't skimp; the sandwich arrives piled high, a true monument to deli meat. The Foundation: Perfect Rye A sandwich is only as good as its vessel, and Katz's seeded rye is the gold standard. It features a crust that offers a slight "snap" when you bite into it, while the center remains soft enough to soak up the juices from the corned beef without disintegrating. The caraway seeds add that essential, earthy punch that cuts through the richness of the meat. The "Accessories" (The Full Reuben Experience) While the meat stands alone, the accompaniments elevate it to a gourmet level. To get the full experience, you have to lean into the "accessories": * Swiss Cheese: Thick, nutty, and perfectly melted. * Russian Dressing: Tangy and creamy with just the right amount of zest. * Coleslaw: Crisp, fresh, and not overly drowned in mayo--it provides a vital crunch. * The Pickles: No visit is complete without their signature pickles, which provide the sharp acidity needed to cleanse the palate. In an era of disappearing hospitality, the staff at Katz's are refreshingly helpful and efficient. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, there's a sense of "family" energy that makes the dining room feel warm. While deli prices have risen everywhere, Katz's offers genuine quality for what you pay. You aren't just paying for a sandwich; you're paying for premium cuts, house-made sides, and a portion size that usually guarantees a delicious lunch for the following day
