    Excellent Cold Brew!
    Edward K.

My wife and I enjoy trying all of the local coffee shops. I saw Vale on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. Definitely appreciate that they're open a bit later than the other coffee shops in the area. Solid amount of parking available. Shop is nicely decorated, with nice indoor and outdoor seating. The women working behind the counter were friendly and helpful with recommendations. My wife had Dulce de Leche cold brew and I had cold brew black. My wife enjoyed the Dulce de Leche, not overly sweet but definitely nicely flavored. I enjoyed the smoothness of the cold brew on its own. Also enjoyed sitting at the comfortable outdoor table and having a nice conversation. I look forward to returning and I also look forward to checking out their breakfast.

What a wonderful local cafe. Featuring a plethora of tasty drink choices, both hot and cold, this local gem is a great spot for a drink and some conversation. They also have a selection of books and games available for anyone to enjoy. My wife and I like to walk there and sit on the front patio with our drinks so we can chat with passersby and meet the local pets. The staff is always so friendly and willing to recommend a drink if you are not sure what you want.

Beautiful coffee shop, they have bakery items made on the premises from scratch. Good breakfast option- variety of toasts and croissants. They make great coffee and cappuccino. Beautiful selection of lattes. Very welcoming place. I love their aesthetics as well. They have outdoor sitting area.

Stumbled upon the cutest little coffee shop today! Cute, cozy, and friendly staff Ordered the cold brew and it was delicious! The owner opened in Sept 2022 and offers baked goods made both in house and sourced locally, sandwiches, and supports local businesses! Must check out!

    Plenty of seating

AMAZING coffee shop! I would come here everyday if I lived closer, but would actually drive 30 minutes for a relaxing weekend coffee time. It's a cozy comfortable cafe with friendly great service! The people were so nice . The iced americano was good and I loved how they have options for sugar free almond/oat milk. They have a wide variety of tea w/ interesting flavors like lavender mint and yuzu peach green. They also have great crumble cake and different toasts like avocado toast and grilled cheese. Not loud or rowdy, so it's a great place to read or study or catch up w/ people. There's a lot of natural light that enters the cafe!

Toasting to a kid free morning with caprese avocado toast and a taste of their cold brew on tap. Amazing!

The place is typically busy, especially packed on weekends. The drinks are pretty dang good, and unique. I've had about half the drinks on their menu now and I've enjoyed them all. Memento Mori is my current favorite, followed by Phoenix Feather. Drinks are not all super sweet or overpowering flavor wise, with a wide range of choices and varying intensities. The pastries are great too, and seem to cycle about half the offerings frequently. Their made to order menu is unique, with the Fat Bee being my regular choice. (Lavender cream, in a croissant, with a honey drizzle, lemon zest, and edible flowers) Thematic music is always playing, and it isnt so loud that you can't have a conversation. They also always seem to know what is playing if you want to listen to it later. Local artisans sell their wares that fit the vibe of the shop, with prints, hair accessories, essential oils, potions, and more; they seem to be very supportive of local creators. The walls are black, decorated with various pinned insects, flowers, and interesting small taxidermy in theme for the place. Furniture is varied and unique, along with a bar seating for 3 persons. With space for single patrons and small groups to find adequate seating assuming the location isnt packed with it being a fairly small space. This is my personal favorite coffee place (if it isnt obviousby now), and a weekly stop even though it is not on my way to other shops I frequent. Very glad they opened up, even though I'm not goth, it is easy to feel at home there. Including to my child, who adores their hot cocoa.

And rightfully so - this is a very well executed idea for a gothic coffee shop. I was trurly amazed. The line stretched across the whole shop, which spoke to its popularity. I think they were understaffed the day we visited. It was only 3 employees and once of them was a cashier which also made drinks/ food. Stood in line for about 20mins until it was our turn to order. We did not mind the wait actually. It was very bearable with the music in the background and so many things for sale to look at. Once it was our turn my partner ordered a Cemetery Dusk Latte (Tiramisu latte, chocolate ribbons, mascarpone top and chocolate power), and a pineapple danish and coconut flakes. I ordered the Deadly Nightshade (Expresso, Blackberry Vanilla Syrup, Blackberry cold foam and sage), and the Little Lad Croissant which was served with cream and berries (and had cute little flowers for decorations). The shop was packed, but yet we somehow got two seats. There are tables, green couch and red velvet armchairs with a high backs. We sat on the armchairs. Everything was so delicious. I actually gave up drinking coffee, substituting it with matcha, but I decided to make an exception for today. And boy I am glad I did! I never had more delicious coffee. And if I said I did in my previous reviews, please consider that voided haha. Overall great experience! I would definitely come back there instead of going to Starbucks when I'm in the neighborhood.

To be fair, all she orders is the chicken salad sandwich and she has order nothing else. Today, that changed as we ordered the Apple Cranberry Crisp à la mode along with her Chicken Salad sandwich and that dessert was delicious! It wasn't too sweet and it had me thinking "what kind of apples do they use for this?" It even got reactions from everyone who dined nearby us in the restaurant. So the ambiance was very friendly as while it appeared like they were regulars, they were not because they've never seen the Apple Cranberry Crisp in person. We took our four month old infant and the place was accommodating to that as well. The decor was very traditional but very clean, like you were in the dining room of the golden age of your grandma's house (I hope that makes sense like it does for me). Anyway, I had the NJ Sloppy Joe and that was also delicious - especially with the sweet potato salad that came with it. I also had the cappuccino and the affogato because I had no coffee yet by this point of the day and I had to double down on my espresso intake lol. The Dell Coffee Co is located on Oradell's bustling Kinderkamack Road. I've driven by it so many times and finally decided to check it out. There's free street parking and a lot in the back. The atmosphere is charming, cozy, and calming. The owner did a great job with the interior design! Lots of plants, earthy tones, wooden furniture, large windows with natural lighting, pillows, and comfortable sofas. They have wifi and outlets, making it an ideal place to work, study, or read in. Seating is a bit limited - there's a communal table that fits six people, three stools at a counter, and three small sofa chairs. I visited on weekday afternoons and didn't have a problem finding a seat. The drink menu has your classic espresso beverages, tea, and cold brew. They have a food menu with sandwiches, wraps, avocado toast, and acai bowls. They also have fresh pastries to choose from like croissant cubes, scones, banana bread, and muffins. The baristas are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They have a lot of regulars here and you can tell that this is the type of coffee shop that will remember your name and order. I've tried... *Hot Salted Caramel Latte ~$6 - A creamy and comforting drink! The milk to espresso ratio was just right. The espresso was strong and went well with the richness of the caramel. It wasn't too sweet at all - flavors were well balanced and I could taste the hints of sea salt. *Churro Croissant Cube $8.50 - Highly recommend! It's a croissant in the shape of a cube. It's flaky, crispy, and coated with cinnamon and sugar on the outside. The bread was soft, airy, and buttery on the inside. I loved the contrasting textures! *Sugar Cookie Latte ~$7 (vanilla and almond infused espresso with whipped cream and holiday sprinkles on top) - This was more on the sweeter/sugary/milky side, which was fine with me. The cookie flavor was subtle. I would have liked the espresso to be stronger. *Cold Brew $4.50 - Not a fan. The brew was too bitter and tasted watered down. I added milk and sugar, but that didn't help. *Egg Salad Sandwich $10 (tomato, lettuce, egg salad on sourdough bread) - The bread had a crunchy crust with a chewy interior. It had a tangy flavor to it, which I enjoyed. The egg salad was too salty. Overall, the sandwich was decent, but not great. It's small for the price; I don't think I'd pay $10 for it again. The Purple Haze smoothie is my usual order and never disappoints -- flavorful, refreshing, and perfectly blended. I do occasionally mix it up, but I always come back to that one. Their energy bites are another standout -- satisfying a sweet craving while still being made with better-for-you ingredients. I usually keep a few in my fridge for grab-and-go energy. They also offer healthy prepared meals, which is incredibly convenient. I haven't personally tried them due to a severe gluten allergy, but friends who have enjoy them. This is primarily a grab-and-go spot, though there is minimal indoor seating if you want to stay. The staff has consistently been friendly and attentive, always acknowledging customers when they walk in. Parking tip: Westwood has metered street parking, and during peak hours it can be tough to find a spot. Even if you're running in quickly, make sure you feed the meter -- tickets are given out easily. My only real disappointment is that they discontinued the buy-10-get-1-free punch card. I was definitely bummed to see that go and would love to see some kind of rewards program return. Overall, Fitrition is a reliable local favorite for fresh shakes, snacks, and grab-and-go fuel -- it's exactly the kind of spot you're happy to keep in your rotation.
