What a great day to have women coworkers come together outside of work for a Sunday afternoon of tea. The service was on .100% our waitress was great with us and telling us what we were in it's for us as myself and another Coworker organized this day and we chose what we wanted from the menu so that we knew how much to collect from everybody and that was also included in our tip. The scones were so warm when they came out they had pumpkin bread, which was amazing cookies as well then we had a finger cucumber sandwich, a chicken salad, and a puff pastry and olive cracker and a beet finger sandwich it also came with butter for your scones, which the butter was amazing. The tea was so good if you aren't so much into tea, my suggestion would be the birthday and they don't give you sugar packets they give you sugar cubes and if you want, you can also ask for milk for your tea which that helped me out 100% because I am not a tea drinker definitely a place to create memories with coworkers women generation or someone that really loves tea read more

This is my 2nd time here and it was just as enjoyable as I remembered. Cute decor, fairly priced and pleasant staff. The servers were young and seemed to be running around a lot, but provided good service. Perhaps they needed one additional server, they seemed over whelmed. It's reservation only, and they call to confirm a day or two prior. I wish they had an online reservation system since they require. Credit card to reserve. The soups were very good, sandwiches were tasty and sweets were very sweet, but small portions so it was ok. We ended up taking some of our tower to go, and instead of a box we were given small paper bags. Which would have been ok but one of my items was a mini cupcake, so that got a bit messy. I came here yesterday with my family. They have a really wide selection of cheeses for the high tea time. They had a really nice tower of sandwiches, scones and desserts. I had the cream of broccoli soup, which was OK. The service was very good. The ambience is exactly what you would expect of an afternoon tea place. The only thing I didn't really like is the fact that they wanted you to put down a credit card and charged you a $25 per person cancellation fee. Harmony Tea Room did a great job accommodating our bridal shower party. We had around 15 guests, and my friends who handled most of the back-and-forth phone calls with the owner mentioned that they were friendly, cordial, and responsive to all questions and concerns. We were able to set up 30 min in advance and mainly added minor decorations to the set up, diy'ed a bridal shower picture backdrop table, and had a table for the party favors and gifts. The interior is decorated already with many teas and western themed tea cups, teas, and others. The food was very classic with a three tier tray. The scones were delicious! They have multiple flavors; I loved the plain scone, but my friends enjoyed the apricot and cranberry scones. The teas were delicious too; we got their early gray decaf, raspberry champagne non-alcoholic, genmaicha green tea, and goji berry bliss. My favorite was the classic earl grey and also the goji berry bliss; the latter has a nice fruity smell but not overpowering. I will say I liked the finger food better at prince tea house. It was a nice experience. A cute and quaint place. Brought my MIL here for her birthday. Everyone ordered hospitali-tea on the menu. I loved my tea the best. Ordered their emerald sun tea which had such a perfect hint of almond and slight sweetness. We ordered their orange and carrot soup with cilantro and pistachio as garnish. We also ordered 5 types of teas for the table and everyone really enjoyed trying them all. Salad was delicious. We ordered both types of salads on the menu. Everyone had 3-4 cups of tea. The tiers came in finally which had scones, sandwiches, other sweet treats. I just wish we got more sandwiches and less sweet treats. Everything was nice. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches. As a lover of all things British, I jumped at the chance to visit this tea room. I read the reviews and saw a lot of bad experiences based upon service. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt in hopes that we would have a good experience. Foolish decision. My friend and I arrived to a nearly empty dining room. This was surprising seeing as to how they required a long-standing reservation, a $25 credit card hold should you not show up and had "limited seating availability". The tea was delicious and the food bits were nice. When the bill arrived, my friend attempted to pay with her bank card and was told it was declined. I then used mine which was also unable to be run. The one table next us had the same issue. After a long wait we were all told the issue was on "their end". With that, we were now told to walk around the block (four blocks) in the rain to get cash and come back to pay. This to me was completely unacceptable. With the sparse amount of patrons involved and the problem being no fault of the customers, the establishment should have dismissed the transaction and closed for the day until they resolved their problem. We did as asked and came back only to be rudely scolded by management upon hearing our feelings. Needless to say, they lost our business and likely that of the other party over it. Daughter's wedding shower was held here hosted by her sister & bridal party. After giving them a deposit my daughter received a phone message saying if she didn't return the signed contract in a day the event would be canceled....they sent the contract to an incorrect email address. The servers were good, however not a smile on one of them. As it was ending the owner came in raging mad because someone had knocked into a flower pot Out front and there was dirt on the sidewalk....it was very embarrassing. What a beautiful experience! The person who took our reservation was nice and very helpful. Our party of four (2 adults and 2 children) arrived and we were seated promptly by Michelle. This was my children's first time experiencing afternoon team - the Juevinil-tea and they love everything! They children enjoyed the strawberry and Hugs and kisses teas. My father in law and I had the tranquil-tea. I had a different expectation of the African Chickpea soup but it was tasty. Mr B enjoyed the pumpkin apple soup. The baked goods, especially the scones were delightful (I bought some to go!) the finger sandwiches were my not favorite but such is life. My friend made a reservation here on a Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. They do 2 hour sessions. Its recommended to make a reservation, but to my surprise, there was only 1 other table of 2 during our visit. Upon entering, we were greeted by a server and we're promptly seated at our table. The server there was very sweet. She mentioned she's been going there since young and now works there because she loves the place. She then gave us some time for us to look at the menu. You get to choose from 3 options for high tea, we chose tranquili-tea, which comes with a choice of either soup or salad, 1 scone, an assortment of finger sandwiches, a few desserts and a pot of tea or iced tea. (This comes to about $33 per person after tax and tip.) You could also choose to just have tea. First the salad, I had the strawberry salad with the strawberry vinaigrette on the side, but I think it would've been good poured on top as well since it was light and refreshing, also not a lot. I devoured the salad.. it was really good, or I may have been hungry ... Next, I had their sandwiches. I have to say... I'm not impressed and don't understand why people were saying great things about them. I started from left to right, being lite to the most flavorful. Which was the better choice. First was the cucumber sandwich with dill I believe? It wasn't great nor was it bad, but gets 3/5. The second was the rectangular piece, I can't remember anything about it other than it's served with raisin bread and carrots. Third was the square piece, not gonna lie, don't recall this neither, just eatable, but tasted better than the previous. The fourth was the veggie roll, all you could taste was the pepper. It was overpowering. Last, and my favorite of the five, the asian inspired tart. It had the right amount of savory and was nice and crisp. The scone was probably the best part. I had the cranberry scone. It comes with lemon curd, cream and strawberry jam on the side. Here's the thing... having any of the sides with the scone alone, I personally didn't like. I then mixed and matched all the sides to try and finally found one I enjoyed. The lemon curd and cream together was my favorite pairing with the scone. The scone itself was fluffy and had soft crumbles when taken a bite. Lastly I tried all their sweets on top. The pie/tart was too sweet for me. May have been the overload of white chocolate chips. The cookies were really hard... I prefer a softer cookie. Lastly, the pound cake was simply pound cake. Overall, I enjoyed my time here, but to travel in from New York, I'd rather go somewhere else in the city. Don't get me wrong, it's a cute place, just not my cup of tea. I go to tea rooms all the time but my mom doesn't and I wanted her to have tea in a more traditional setting. Since I was in jersey, I wanted to try this place out but unfortunately I didn't get the chance. We got to the door and waited for about 5mins for someone to seat us. Once sat, we waited about 10mins to get menus. Usually menus are given to you upon seating, but technically we set ourselves since she just pointed out a table for us to sit from a distance. From there we waited maybe another 12mins but she never came back to take our order so we decided to leave. She did look busy, and I'm sure she was the only one there but that's ridiculous especially considering that everyone makes reservations so they are aware of how many parties will be coming in that day. Why one server for the entire dining room? She also looked puzzled when I told her why we were leaving so I wonder if she felt she wasn't taking long. We were disappointed because my mom never got to try this type of place and we drove out of our way to get there. We ended up going to a restaurant down the street. I've been to the Harmony Tea Room a couple times and have enjoyed my meals and tea each time I've been. I took my aunt here last week and we enjoyed some delicious tea, salads, soup, scone, and finger sandwiches. I really enjoy how the menu allows for an assortment of options depending on your mood and hunger. I went with a more simple choice of a winter salad which had cran-raisins and brussel sprouts among many other things making for a tasty salad. My aunt enjoyed some tomato soup and finger sandwiches. After my salad I had a gluten-free chocolate chip scone which was delicious. I chose a raspberry champagne tea which was to die for. I drank the whole pot! My aunt ordered the chestnut tea which she really enjoyed as well. I love this little tea room in Westwood! The service was friendly, the tea selection fun and the food delicious. I had a Groupon so I went on a Friday with a few friends (both guys and even they loved it). There were so many vegetarian finger sandwiches (which I was worried about). They had a spinach curry rolled sandwich, which was absolutely delectable. I also loved their beet one. There was a chicken salad one in phyllo that I didn't have but my friends loved. And of course, my favorite is the raisin bread with walnuts and apple. I had the Darjeerling tea that was strong and warming. I loved the desserts. The best part was definitely the pumpkin scone that came out fresh and warm. I could have eaten at least ten more of those. I also tried their apple cheddar soup. It was an apple broth with cheddar accents not the way I expected but it was so good. The broth wasn't overly sweet but just enough. Will definitely be returning because I love having my afternoon tea especially in my blue Alice in Wonderland style dress with my headband and mary janes on! I came here for a late lunch with my mom yesterday. They had just finished up a shower so when we walked in, we had the place all to ourselves. Our server, Ana, was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu (including which teas had hints of almond, which my mom is allergic to), and was very friendly. All of the food was delicious - from the carrot soup to the Harmony salad all the way to the warm scones and the adorable finger sandwiches. We spent almost two hours there! We had no more room for the desserts our meal came with but we took them to go. Our individual tea pots were large enough for at least 4 cups of tea each and it stayed warm because it had a little teapot cozy on it. I'd love to give it 4.5 stars only because it's a little costly (it was $52 for the two of us before tip) but it was certainly a fun leisurely afternoon. There is some wiggle room with price, however. I ordered the option that came with soup AND salad in addition to the tea, scones, finger sandwiches and dessert. Mom did the same but without soup. Check out their menu online for the different options. It seems they have special teas each day in addition to the ones on the menu and I loved that they had a selection of scones to choose from. I have been to Harmony on several occasions for tea with friends and always had a wonderful experience. I decided to hold a bridal shower for my son's fiancee' and had to reschedule due to the pandemic. Maryanne and Michelle were FANTASTIC to deal with over the past couple of years with questions and date changes. When we our special day recently arrived, our expectations were exceeded. Our party of 24 totally enjoyed the beautiful setting, tasty traditional treats and four tea assortment. The summer salad was a big hit. We had champagne service (it's BYOB and you can drop off in advance to chill) and never saw an empty glass. The service and timing of the event was perfect and staff continually checked in to make sure all was going well. Michelle even made a beautiful welcome sign for the front entry. I found everyone there to be polite and patient through the afternoon (even during set up and game time!) and would not hesitate to recommend Harmony Tea for private events. I've been here twice now, one year apart and my only complaint is that they had the same exact sandwich menu both times. I honestly would go here more often if they switched up their menu. I personally do enjoy all of the offerings, hence why I came back again however I feel that there must be others like me who would visit more often if instead of having the same menu, they switched it up every month or season. That being said, I truly enjoyed my visits here. The ice wine tea is my absolute fav, and the scones are always fresh and warm when they come out. Harmony Tea Room used to be my go to with my mom when it was in its prior location in Westwood. I remember great service, a warm welcome from staff, and a great selection of pastries as well as finger sandwiches. For my soon to be mother-in-law's birthday, my fiance and I decided to take her to Harmony, mostly on my recommendation and because of her love of tea. I'll start with the positives: The place itself is still adorable and perfectly decorated. I'm also a sucker for the mismatched china and cute tea themed decor, as well as the decorative fireplaces. It still gives a very homey kind of a vibe. The tea selection is also great, and the teas are absolutely delicious. My fiance ordered the vanilla bourbon, which was amazing, and I ordered the rainbow rooibos, also amazing. My future mother in law enjoyed her Irish breakfast tea, and my future father in law had an iced tea that he also said was delicious. The scones are delicious as well - I had an apricot that was lovely, and have yet to find one comparable. The Harmony salad, with goat cheese, is also really nice and a very good size. While the platter of sandwiches is pretty tiny, everything tastes good, so the complaint is not in the taste of anything, but rather, the size. Now, because a two star review is not without reason: The service here needs some serious, serious work. Our server wasn't bad, but the place was so incredibly understaffed that the owners were basically setting the two workers up to fail. The place was packed, so it was not possible to give adequate attention to everyone there with only two servers, who were also running food. This led to incredibly long wait times between taking orders, bringing tea, bringing salads, etc. I think at one point we were waiting about 25 minutes for the check to be dropped, just because the servers were so busy with visiting the large parties at other tables. People walked into Harmony and walked out after just standing there with no one to greet or help them. It doesn't lead to the greatest of experiences when you're sitting just waiting for someone to notice you, especially since Harmony is not the cheapest of places. Again, the portion sizes are pretty small in terms of the finger sandwiches and pastries. The salad helps to even things out, hunger wise, but if I only had a few finger sandwiches to share, I'd be bummed and hungry, no matter how delicious they tasted. My fiance Anthony also left a review sharing his separate experience where the staff was downright rude to him, which also leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I feel that moving to the new space definitely opened up more room, but more staff should come with that so that the experience could have stayed as good as it used to be. The focus now seems to be fitting as many people as possible in versus an emphasis on good service. While I used to recommend Harmony to many people, I can no longer do this, and would rather look for a new cafe or place with great tea because the slowness of service is just not worth it anymore. read more

Nothing out of the ordinary for a tea parlor. Service is the problem. First, our table wasn't ready during our reservation time. Then we were seated at the wrong table. Then, it took about 45 minutes for my friend's salad to arrive, and when it ended up not being what she requested, she asked them to take it back and fix it. The waiter actually initially REFUSED but she stood her ground, repeating her original order. Five minutes later, the waiter came back and said that they were really backed up with the food, and they don't have the time to fix it - can my friend just take the salad as is? When she said no he continued to hover. Then we asked for them to just cancel the order. He continued to stand there until we repeated it three times. Finally they canceled her salad but still charged her for her tea. Yikes. 45 minutes for a SALAD? And then asking the customer to essentially "deal with it" when it was made wrong because "they don't have time" to fix a salad? I'm so sad that happened, because I really liked everything else. Lastly, THEIR ADDRESS IS WRONG ON THEIR WEBSITE AND YELP. They're actually located on 224 Fairview Ave. When my friend went to their old location we told the staff that their website has outdated information. I am writing my review based on my visit for my sister's baby shower last year. I see that most people either love this place or hate it. Here is an honest review and possible explanation as to why. The venue is on the smaller side which can really accommodate about 30 people maximum. The decor was vintage and adorable. If you are throwing a party like a baby shower, you really don't need any extra decorations. Some people have complained about the owner being abrasive or rude. However, I didn't see it exactly that way. I did interact with her multiple times at the baby shower. She did not smile brightly or act friendly, but she was never rude or difficult. To be honest, the owner and both the servers were really flexible. We had a few hiccups with the number of guests that arrived. We had originally informed Harmony that 23 guests would arrive, but 26 showed up. This really could have been a disaster as the tea room prepares scones and other baked goods fresh to order. The few extra guests also arrived at different times of the party. The servers and owner just wordlessly accommodated our changes. They served the new guests promptly. The servers were so sweet and brought extra napkins and refills on tea often to keep it nice and hot. The food itself was satisfying. The spiced carrot soup was aromatic and light in flavor. The salad with goat cheese, cranberries and walnuts was delicious although the salad mix was slightly wilted because it was spring mix. I think the highlight had to be the scones. Each scone was crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. It was not dry at all. The scones were flavorful. The added cream and jam on the side was perfect. The finger desserts were tasty as well. The savories were light and fresh. They served typical tea sandwiches with egg salad, salmon/dill/cream/cucumber, and others. Since I've left London, I've been craving all things British including afternoon tea. I saw this deal on Groupon when I got back and I had to grab it! I finally got the opportunity to go this past Thursday. Our Groupon was for the Sereni-tea which included a pot of tea, a scone, finger sandwiches, and various desserts. We walked into this little cafe which was bright and warm on this particular rainy day. The chairs and tea cups were all mismatched which was cute. The cups we had were from England and I love me some English china! The tea was pretty good, nothing outrageous but still piping hot and warming. I just want to start this off by saying I generally don't take the time to write reviews - whether they are good or bad - but this experience left me with my blood boiling. Just to preface - the food & tea were great - very tasty! I bought a Living Social deal for Harmony Tea Room in July and it expired on October 6 - I 100% understand what happens to the Living Social deal after the expiration date, but what I don't understand is the following. I received an email from Living Social a few weeks ago reminding me to use the deal & the email specifically stated that it expired on October 7. I trusted the email I received and made a reservation for October 7 only to be told that it actually expired on October 6 and that there was nothing they can do. What made it even worse was that the OWNER of Harmony Tea Room came out and told me that if she made an exception for me, she would have to make one for everyone and as a business owner she can't do that. Which I get. Except I wasn't trying to get over the system - I had a misleading email from Living Social and the OWNER of Harmony Tea Room could have cared less. Also, when I made my reservation for October 7, the girl on the phone never even thought to mention anything about the expiration date. They are obviously just money hungry. I have worked in customer service for years and I own my own business and I have always instilled good customer service techniques in my employees and co-workers. I am appalled at the fact that the owner didn't have the common decency to make right on the Living Social deal. read more
