This is a small coffee shop in Mahwah with a hipster vibe. The shop is nicely decorated and plays nice coffee shop music . The employees are very nice. Drinks/pastries : eh not crazy about the drink I got. I ordered a caramel macchiato and it was very watery & for a small $5. I wouldn't order it again. It wasn't bad enough to order a new drink but not good enough to order again or make me want to visit again. I had a blondie with the coffee and it was very dry. Again not something I would have again. I would be willing to give other things on the menu a shot. While drinking my coffee I noticed a sign saying they have CBD in their products. Honestly everyone has their own opinion on this. Not sure how I feel about their products having it. I do wish they would be more clear about which products do and don't. The sign is clear that it has great benefits but can also cause side effects. Honestly to each their own but I would rather not have it in my coffee or pastries if it is not necessary. Again considering Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks are less than 5 mins away I would probably go there instead but I would be willing to try something else to see if other things are better.

Pay attention, or you may miss this place as a first timer, cool , creative looking place with nice people behind the counter. Ordered the Taylor ham and cheese on half baguette,it was well toasted & melted but a bit dry & skimpy for my taste. Next time, I'll ask for the bread to be buttered and more meat! They do charge extra for each meat when building your own sandwich. They seem supportive of other businesses, which showed in display all over shop. They sell homemade products and display business stickers & adverts from others. There is art for sale from locals and a sticker wall encouraging your uniqueness. Oh yea they have board games!. Chai latte actually pretty good just wish it was stronger ( Chai and espresso shot). In my short time there was clear they have regulars and I can see why. In the end, would visit again

Just was visiting the town and wanted to stop to eat brunch. I saw this place had great reviews so came in! I did assume it was a little bigger with some tables to eat but mostly just a small cafe (it's completely okay though!!!) My chai latte was absolutely delicious and comforting. I ordered their New Yorker and my friend has the Jersey, both sandwiches were so good we devoured them and did not get a single photo. I thought they were big and so flavorful. Might drive back just to stop here again! Service was great and I even bought one of the paintings they had on the wall of local artists! Very cute place!

From the outside I for some reason was not expecting much from this place, but it is fantastic. We had coffee and egg sandwiches on a weekend morning. The coffee was very good, as you might expect from an establishment with "coffee" in the name, but the egg sandwiches were freaking awesome. They have a ton of unusual (and largely very healthy) options for sandwich additions, like sautéed spinach, fresh mozzarella, pesto, even squash. Many bread choices, too. The food is made to order- no dry microwaved sandwiches here- so you have to wait a little bit, but it's well worth it. (For something quicker, the oatmeal looked really tempting, too.) The people who work here are also ridiculously nice. (Like what-kind-of-happy-pills-are-they-on-because-I-want-some kind of nice.) If I lived nearby I would 1000% be a regular.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the hard working staff were non-stop, satisfying the fully-commited attendance. Thank goodness that I made reservations, which I highly suggest, or else you're going to probably have a double digit wait time. I was very impressed with the serving sizes and the freshness of their ingredients. I also appreciated how they placed the salad that accompanied my omelet in a separate bowl. The entrees were: Truffle Infused Wild Mushroom Omelette (wild mushrooms, shaved parmesan, roasted potato hash, and a side salad). Every bite was filled with every ingredient and this item is highly recommended. Whiskey Burger (8 Oz. beef patty, double cut bacon, apple jack barbecue sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, pickle, caramelized onions). This burger was juicy, throughout, and the sweet potato fries side was heavenly salty. The last entree was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (whipped ricotta, lemon zest, fresh fruit and berries). Theses pancakes were t.h.i.c.k. and the fruit was plentiful. I also ordered an Apple and Pear Salad for takeout and it was AMAZING! It was large enough for two servings and the vinaigrette dressing was exquisite. Morning Bloom will be a top choice, going forward, and.....btw, after you're done with your meal, you could stroll through Allendale's many Main Street businesses.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. There's also parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy.

Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Most meals came out around 12:30, but one gluten-free order was completely mishandled. One person in our group did not receive their food with the rest of us. We waited over 20 minutes while everyone else ate, and by the time we were finishing, he had only been given a small side of eggs, his main dish (gluten-free French toast) still had not arrived. We asked staff multiple times, politely, and were consistently dismissed. No eye contact, no updates, no urgency. Our server was absent for long periods (10-15 minutes at a time), drinks were empty, and no one took responsibility for fixing the issue. By 1:10 PM, over an hour after being seated, the full order still hadn't come out. At that point, we had no choice but to ask for it to be wrapped to go, since the rest of us had already finished eating. The most concerning part was the manager's response. After calmly explaining the situation, there was no apology, no attempt to correct the experience, and no effort to take accountability. Saying "I'll talk to your server" and leaving it at that is not an acceptable response to a clear service breakdown. This wasn't just a delay, it was a complete lack of coordination, communication, and basic customer service. Mishandling a gluten-free order and then ignoring the table is unacceptable. The food itself was good, but the way this was handled reflects very poorly on the staff and management. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this location based on this experience.

At the register, it was a little confusing as there was no line that had formed. There were people standing in front of the register and the young employee would just shout "next customer" and someone would decide to go next. In my opinion, I think the back room should have a door or curtain just for the employees privacy. I would not want customers seeing me eating or on my phone while I'm on a break. I'm sure most people know it's a break room, but for those who don't would be wondering why there are people sitting when the front of the store has customers waiting for their order to be taken. Back to the food... I got a panini with mozzarella, tomato, basil and chicken (additional $4.50). And I also go the Clean Green smoothie. They gave me a numbered placard so that someone could deliver my food to my table. The panini was good, but unfortunately the chicken was very dry and the ends of the bread was soggy. For something that was just made, the bread should not be soggy like it had been sitting in a liquid for a while. The smoothie was ok. I think they put too much vanilla extract in it because that was the only thing I could really taste. I think the banana needed to ripen for another day. Also, there was a grainy texture and I can't figure out why as there was no powder added to it.
