Cute ascetic of restaurant, intimate setting close enough you can hear others conversation if they are loud speakers. 2. States gluten-free on the menu, however I'm not sure how staff is trained. Ordered a savory crepe and beef and potato stew. Both were delicious however be careful about cross contamination if you're highly sensitive to gluten/wheat. We ordered gluten free and the stew came out with a roll when questioned the server said "oh we need to get better at that" they did remove it from the plate with a napkin. They did not change out the platter which the bowl arrived on just left crumbs on top. We did our best with the napkins and covered the space that the bread touched in hopes that we wouldn't experience ill effects. Unsure if they clean the grill/cooking area between batches as the gluten-free crepe did cause some issues immediately after eating. 3. Overall, the food was tasty, reasonably priced especially for gluten-free food. We were surprised to see it presented in rope or sausage shape rather than a square or triangle etc. I think it was to reduce the amount of meat utilized. Mine was very underfilled to the point where I couldn't really taste the meat...the other one had a bit more meat, just enough to grasp a taste of it. So, we ended up splitting them and eating half of each. The dough was good, however, it was spoiled by not having enough meat to taste and was disappointing. We might be willing to try again. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a quick snack and drink. Considering it was nice out, decided to take the one table available outside. Between two people, ordered the Turkish Coffee with Baklava ($8) and a Banana Nutella Crepe ($8). Coffee is served in the cezve it's cooked in, very strong and pairing fine with the baklava square. The baklava is very sweet and needs to be balanced out by the bitter coffee. The crepe is standard - Nutella filling and sliced bananas on top. The fruit is slightly under ripe. My first review for this restaurant. This review is based solely on our take-out order of Burek. Since first having the most incredible BUREK in Chicago Illinois a few years back, I've been in search of a restaurant that will serve crispy philo- stuffed delicacy near my own neighborhood. I thought my search had ended when I stumbled upon the menu for this crêpe place on Main Street in nearby Beacon, just 11 miles away. WHAT IS BUREK: you may have to Google it but it is a cross between a pastry and a pie: cheeses, veggies, and sometimes meats sprinkled into delicate layers of paper thin pastry, then tucked into round pans and baked in a hot oven. Ideally , the pastry should be delicate and flaky. ITS NOT DIET FOOD. So for my birthday, my grown kids asked what I would like for dinner. I quickly replied, BUREK I placed the order for two " pies"; spinach and feta cheese, and meat and potato. When my son brought it home I could barely contain my anticipation until we lifted the lid of the pizza box. Unfortunately, this boric pastry was completely different than the one I have experienced in Chicago but we decided to give it a try since I believe the owner of the restaurant is from the BALKANS, a region where BUREK is a staple. Because the food had to travel about 20 minutes, I'm giving this four stars because I'm assuming it would be a bit better if dining in at the restaurant which looks adorable. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is the price - this place is just too expensive for what it offers. My 14-year-old did not want a free hotel breakfast on our last day and said he wanted crepes. We were happy to find this place not far from the hotel, on our way home. There is only one person cooking, I think he is the owner, so there might be a bit of a wait, but trust me, it is worth it. They don't work well for a savory crepe. Of the two we ordered, the chicken bacon ranch was the more tasty.
