Whenever we visit my husband's mother in Ramsey we look forward to a casual lunch at the Corner Cafe. The food is always good quality and the service is polite, professional and friendly. I recently had the Cobb salad with Ranch Dressing and it was really good, plenty of grilled chicken, real bacon and the avocado was fresh and plenty of it. The ranch dressing was the best. My husband had a chicken Caesar wrap and he really enjoyed it. It also has a nice pleasant & clean atmosphere. We're happy to give them our business! Thank you! read more

Food and service really bad!! Maybe changed owner.really different lastime Anyway I order for breakfast quesadilla but I ask switch the bacon for chicken. She say yes but I came home saw the recipe They charged for 5doller extra 12.25 add $5.It's expensive to eat for breakfast. And I call them explan one woman angry for me!! Great place for lunch or breakfast. Service is always great, food great, and prices fair. My only disappointment was the added $2.00 extra for eggs. Although I agree that prices of eggs have gone up 37% since last year and there should be an increase, but $2.00 is extreme! IF a dozen egg went up to say $10.00 a dozen the cost per egg would be .83 each. If that was reality, how can you justify a carton of eggs being $22.00? A .50 upcharge would have been more in line. read more

I've been here a few times since they remodeled after the kitchen fire. Menu is a bit different for example several of the omelettes they used to have aren't there anymore. Totally fine because there's still enough for any pallet. Food is just as good as it always was. What I really love is the updated inside. Previously they only had dark booths and there was an outdated appearance throughout. Now everything is bright and open and there are tables for four on the outside and tables for two in the inside. We went there for a late lunch. Everything was fine. Social distancing, hand sanitizers, face masks. But the cheese steak had a hair on the plate, then a second, then a third. The waitress was very responsive but still... The waiter, a burly fellow, efficient and attentive who took our order likely had a haircut today as the hair was short, black and freshly cut. Sorry but this is not acceptable. I will go back again. Just don't know when. read more

This is a nice breakfast or lunch place in Ramsey. It's a good place to come and meet someone to talk and eat. Unfortunately when I was there I was in a rush so I didn't get to really sit and enjoy everything slowly but even being in a rush it was a great experience and good food. I will definitely be back for breakfast one day. read more

This was a nice breakfast spot with fast and friendly service. I had a waffle which was a little too doughy for my liking and sausage. Overall there was a friendly vibe and lots of customers enjoying their meals. If you are looking for a home cooked meal, there is lots to chose. read more

The Ramsey Corner Cafe is a great spot for breakfast or lunch. I've dined in and taken out food. Both have been great every time. The staff is super friendly and make you feel at home. John, the owner, makes some amazing daily specials that are too hard to pass up! The burgers, paninis, soups, and salads (with blackened chicken) are all great. Now more than ever, people need to go to their local eateries. Don't pass this one up! read more

Delish. My table ordered the loaded hot dog, buffalo wings, chicken gyro and short stack French toast. Ordered take out but stayed when we saw there was out door dining (COVID). Tables were kept at a safe distance. Our fur baby also enjoyed staying at the table with us and even shared some chicken. Overall, we would come back here for sure. read more

It's a nice little place in Ramsey. It was well priced. The food was good fresh made to order. The staff was very helpful and fast. What I really like about this place a it old time town feeling. 5 stars is relative now, isn't it. If you are looking for a local place, with good food, great and always friendly service at good prices, this is the place to go to, We regularly stop here during the season when the farmer''s market is going on. But we find ourselves heading over there, even in the dead of winter and a little out of our way, because it is just that kind of place that serves up that comfort food with a hometown feel. Breakfast is always available, but you can do a children's menu or burger and you cannot go wrong. Lollipops (small size which is cool) on the counter, that the kids always look forward to. We have had a little of everything from eggs, omelets, to burgers and it never disappoints, We always walk out of here full and satisfied. Why go to a generic chain when you can get a real American treat at Ramsey Corner Cafe. read more

Great local cheap and quick breakfast/lunch joint. It's going to become a new regular meet up spot for my closest friends and me. The moment you walk in, you're instantly greeted by the waiters/waitresses, and you can sit wherever. The menu is extensive but nothing crazy, just the usual diner-like items. Food comes out hot and fast. Big portions too! I got an egg white omelette with lots of veggies in it. Comes with toast and home fries. Can't wait to come back. read more

Local institution! Fantastic service. Omelettes are amazing. I haven't managed anything else on the breakfast menu because I can't pass up a great omelette (for me with spinach and feta). Lunch here for me is always either a grilled cheese (they do it to PERFECTION) or a Chicken Caesar Wrap (so big it is always 2 meals). On top of this, during the school year the kids from the high school flock here because the service is quick, the food is great, and there's always a lunch special going for those kids. It is such a wonderful place because while yes, the food is great (and fresh) the SERVICE is so friendly and so kind. They really are happy to have you there and they make you feel like you're right at home. read more

3 stars for being, "A-okay." This cafe reminds me of places that use to exist in the 1970's with the look and service with a smile to boot. The waitresses greeting everyone with a genuine and wholesome, "Good morning," effects one's outlook of the day so profoundly. Sitting there and listening to fellow patrons' conversations, I could see the decor just evoked nostalgia from the past as I heard conversations from men in their 50's reminiscing about their coaches in high school and a lady eating alone on a cell phone speaking of pre-9/11 days while enjoying her morning black. There are 3 other cafes in a one block radius, boasting of the modern, or euro flare. There are the high end, frilly, impress the in-law foodie places, but this is a complete, "just give me what I order," honest food. It's not the best description of food, but it's eggs Benedict plain and simple. Some may say the decor was purposeful, others that it was just unmaintained and run down. There are new owners of the Ramsey Corner Cafe, a local institution for several decades. Last Sunday, my wife and I stopped by the Cafe's outdoor seating area for a late lunch. The server, a pleasant young man wearing a baseball cap, but not wearing a mask was the only staffer covering the stretch of tables out of doors. He had to be asked to clean off tables covered with syrup and other food from previous diners. He had to be asked for another set up of coffee and water after only one was brought, without milk. He had to be asked for napkins. Ocassionly he would procure plates of food from a window in the restaurant's sidewall, but mostly he was doing maintenance including carrying stacks of chairs, setting up and closing umbrellas and awnings, and gathering used plates of food placed on a trolly in the sun. After 30 minutes our lunch order arrived, carried by the server who did not wash his hands after his other tasks. The food was inedible, and we asked for the check, which somehow arrived quickly. Cute little nook in the center of town. The coffee is REALLY GOOD. I would give them more stars but my food was cold when I initially got it and I had to send it back. It was super busy though so I made sure that I gave the waitress a good tip. Food is very reasonably priced. Would definitely come back. read more

Yes, I'm a fan. The service staff is great - always friendly, always pleasant. The owner is normally on the grill at breakfast and if he sees you come in will always welcome you with a "hello." The menu choices are what you want when you go to a small, local place. The café was closed for renovations for quite a few months and we really missed it. I have only one issue that deterred me from a 5 star review - can't stand the new chairs! They are so uncomfortable. I can't imagine that the owner tried sitting in them for 30-40 minutes before he ordered them - if he had, he would have purchased something more comfortable. They're fine for the local high school kids who come in, but us older folks like a little more seat room - and we usually need more seat room! Give the place a try - you'll love the people and the food is stick to your ribs good. read more

We were on our way back from New York and ended up passing through here; we stopped in for a quick bite. The place was pretty small and crowded but the staff was nice & friendly. I asked for soft boiled eggs which took them 20-30 minutes to prepare, my boyfriend was almost done with his meal when they came to tell me that something went wrong , the eggs fell apart and they will need to start preparing my meal from scratch. They ended up not charging us for my portion and were very nice and apologetic for the long wait. 5-Stars and I would def go back if I'm ever in that area again. read more

Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

At the register, it was a little confusing as there was no line that had formed. There were people standing in front of the register and the young employee would just shout "next customer" and someone would decide to go next. In my opinion, I think the back room should have a door or curtain just for the employees privacy. I would not want customers seeing me eating or on my phone while I'm on a break. I'm sure most people know it's a break room, but for those who don't would be wondering why there are people sitting when the front of the store has customers waiting for their order to be taken. Back to the food... I got a panini with mozzarella, tomato, basil and chicken (additional $4.50). And I also go the Clean Green smoothie. They gave me a numbered placard so that someone could deliver my food to my table. The panini was good, but unfortunately the chicken was very dry and the ends of the bread was soggy. For something that was just made, the bread should not be soggy like it had been sitting in a liquid for a while. The smoothie was ok. I think they put too much vanilla extract in it because that was the only thing I could really taste. I think the banana needed to ripen for another day. Also, there was a grainy texture and I can't figure out why as there was no powder added to it. According to the menu, the ingredients are coconut water, banana, cucumber, spinach, dates, and vanilla extract. The total for my sandwich and drink was $31. This is an ok but overpriced lunch. I might come back to try something else in the future.

The food was fresh (how did they find a flawless avocado in the middle of winter???) and the flavors delicious. The service was outstanding -- weekend brunch was packed, and they put your name on a list in case you want to walk around town while you're waiting. Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Someone else in our small group got the avocado toast (more avocado!!) and also said it was excellent. Definitely plan to return!
