While it may be a rather bland adjective, "nice" is pretty appropriate for this cafe. It's also a "good" spot to hang out in, with some items that feel similar to a Paris Baguette, except they make some foods to order. For its size, they have a decent menu with various teas, coffees and smoothies; a few sandwiches, salads and soups; omelets and French toast/waffles; and breads, pastries, and cookies: everything was pretty mainstream. We enjoyed the fluffy trois omelet which allows you to choose two toppings and comes with salad and fresh bread. Matcha lattes were also good and unsweetened! The orange brioche pastry was enjoyable but a little too sweet on top for me. Service was nice as well, nothing to complain about. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. They have a small parking area on its side and back that can get busy. If it gets busy, finding street parking seems doable. And the main road Livingston gets quite busy so when you leave, turning left may be a pain. Nearby has plenty of grocery stores, gas, foodstuffs, etc. read more

Everything was good! But wow that egg tart was exceptional. Most cultures have a version of the egg tart, and this is what you want it to taste like. The crust was light and flaky, not lardy and dry. The filling was creamy and smooth. The chocolate almond croissant was also very good. Service was friendly, the shop is clean and cute. I have nothing bad to say. Drove past Cafe Trois for many years now, we finally stopped and gave it a try! Lots of pastries and delicious looking desserts. We tried a couple different croissants, my wife really enjoyed the matcha, I had the Nutella, which was missing the Nutella inside. We also had the Cafe coffee brand, it was just okay. It's really annoying when an employee decides that they need to mop the floor with bleach when your sitting in the place trying to eat. Very frustrating inhaling the sent while eating. I absolutely fell in love with Cafe Trois after my visit! The menu consists of a good variety of brunch items, coffee, pastries, and to go sammies. The place itself isn't like a large restaurant. It's a simple café, with limited seating. The parking lot surrounding the café is also limited, but street parking is available of course. Their coffee is amazing. It's very bold, strong, and delightful. I hear their honey lavender latte is a contender as this was a hit at our table. The portions are just right, food was nice and hot, plated ever so lovely, and prices were very reasonable. I've had some French onion soup, and theirs was the best I've had in some time. Top 3, I'd like to say! A must try here if you are a French onion connoisseur. The staff is ever so friendly and knowledgeable of their menus and drinks. They have menus provided, and you may order at the counter when you're ready. I would dock half a star just for how tight this place can get, and where to put your dirty dishes. There's a place on the counter your place them, but it's not a direct area. If someone is free, they can help scoop them up for you. This place is absolutely amazing. Everything that I have tried to date is amongst one of the best tasting version I have tried to date. Their creme brulee, strawberry shortcake, tiramisu and crepe cake are all deserts that I know crave. Their milk bread and oat bread is real and tastey. It doesn't have preservatives so you want to eat it asap but it elevated grilled cheese sandwiches to another level. Their creme brulee donuts are absolute master pieces. I can't resist but purchase at least one when they are available and not sold out. I wish they were also a creperie and stayed open a bit later so that I could grab a late snack, but I am just grateful that they exist and are local. I will most likely not return to Cafe Trois anytime soon. Some of the food is very good, however, with the terrible parking lot, and mediocre coffee, it's just not worth it for me to make another trip. I came here Sunday afternoon for brunch. Fortunately, we were able to find a spot in their tiny parking lot, but it wasn't easy. There is a review on here that says there is plentiful parking? I would not consider 8 parking spots plentiful parking. If you must make a trip to Cafe Trois, please use a ride sharing app, take the bus, or walk, because it is hard to find a parking spot and the parking spaces are small. The cafe was fairly crowded, but the line to order moved quickly. We ordered the Trois Breakfast (two scrambled eggs with melted gruyere cheese, bacon, fresh fruit, and a croissant), a side of sunny side up eggs, a matcha almond croissant, an iced green tea, and an iced creme brûlée latte. The creme brûlée latte was horrible. It was very syrupy, and it seemed like the syrup was there to cover up the bitter flavor. The staff remade a plain iced latte, this time no syrup or sugar, and it was still awful. I didn't ask for anything different, I just accepted that the drinks here weren't good, and drank my terrible latte. After we chose a table, the food arrived shortly after. The service is pretty quick, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for our food to come out. The scrambled eggs were very fluffy, fully cooked without it being over done, and probably the best part of the meal. The fruit was fresh, the bacon chewy but not undercooked, and the croissant was nothing special. I did not try the sunny side up eggs, but they looked good. We shared the almond matcha croissant, and although the filling was nice, it was a little underwhelming. As good as the scrambled eggs were, there is nothing else from this cafe that stands out, or is so incredible that you can't find it somewhere else. If you avoid any of the coffee beverages and just order breakfast, you'll definitely get a solid meal, but considering how expensive this place is, you might as well just go to a local diner and order some scrambled eggs there. read more

Great bakery. They are a Korean bakery with some delicious baking goods. They also serve savory sandwiches and salads I did not try. I can tell it's a local favorite as I saw many people seated. I tried the french cream donuts, crem brûlée donut, red bean filled sugar donut and the date tart. The french creme with my favorite. The donuts itself is almost like a bread but the filling is so light and soft. It's a place worth visiting! The desserts are the standard Korean items you would see at places like Paris Bakery, but this is levered up. They are not baking in bulk so there is more care to flavor. I had to get here after craving donuts and most importantly they had Creme Brûlée donuts!!! OMG... The donuts were delicious, crunchy caramlized exterior with a vanilla pudding filling. The donut wasn't too sweet and very fresh. Gotta get here early cause it sells out. I went in today, a weekday around 11:45am and they only had 5 left. Made it just in time! I also tried the red bean donut which had a generous dusting of sugar outside and red bean filling inside. What stands out about this donut was it's sugar coating and the yeast dough..so fresh and yummy. If they sold it just like this without a filling it would be a hit! The cafe bakery is clean, pretty and accommodates about 20 seats. The staff is friendly and courteous. Both serving sweet and savory items, it reminds me of Paris Baguette. A great balance between crunch and soft sweet filling. The egg tart and the apple pie tart were good, very sweet but pairs well with tea or coffee. Would AVOID- the almond tart. Normally I am a huge fan of almond and all things tarts but this one was bland, didn't taste the almond at all and the fruit they had on it was too overpowering. Brunch food: Twice I've had the salmon avocado toast and both times I was extremely pleased. The portions are decent and they do not try to skimp you on the salmon or avocado. There is a huge amount of avocado and 2-3 pieces of smoked salmon on top. Paired with the sour cream with capers and lemon it is very filling. I'd recommend to try it at least once. They have a decent menu with other alternatives as well as premise sandwiches and salads to go if you're on the run. COVID experience: I've only visited them during covid but every time people were courteous and maintained distance. I came here for brunch with the beau and really enjoyed the foods. I had the Honey Pecan French Toast topped with caramelized banana, pecans, powered sugar with maple syrup & mascarpone: the works. It was really good and surprisingly not too sweet. It was just sweet enough. He had the Salmon Platter which came with 2 eggs sunny side up, toast, capers, lemon and a cream topping sans the arugula and red onion (because he's allergic). This was also really good. All of the flavors just worked well together. The few savory bites I had were the perfect breaks from my French toast delight. And of course I couldn't leave with one their crème brûlée donut. This was also not too sweet but just sweet enough. There was a slight bitterness from the caramelized glaze that blended very with the cream inside to give you a flavor reminiscent of bourbon or a liquor. It's subtle but it's there. Very cute cafe that serves a bomb brunch and has a variety of baked goods. From their brunch menu, my favorite would be their salmon platter with avocado toast and their french toast! They also have fresh squeezed OJ. Their fruit tarts only come out here and there, but is highly recommended. Their tiramisu and strawberry cake is bomb! They have a pretty decent earl grey cake too (one slice is enough for me). Their crepe cakes are ok (I wouldn't buy again). As for their baked goods, most of them are pretty solid (especially their croissants). Their cookies, however, I can skip. They have parking in the back, but it's tight and be careful on your way out as you can scrape the bottom of your car if you don't go really slow.
