    Popover with strawberry butter
    Emma K.

My mom used to take us to the Rotunda when we were kids to celebrate our birthdays, and there is still something special about this little lunch spot. The menu is easy, not a ton of choices, which is good for a quick lunch. We chose the sampler, which is the soup of the day, half a sandwich and a side salad. The rotunda always serves a cup of chicken broth and a pop over with strawberry butter to start. Overall a nice spot to stop for lunch if you're in the Garden State Plaza

What and unexpected pleasure. After some serious shopping, we popped in here to grab a quick drink but ended up staying for lunch. What a gorgeous room with panoramic views. However it was the food that really surprised - I was looking up recipes for the complimentary Consommé they served along with a seriously large popover. The lobster Cobb salad was ridiculously good. It wasn't crowded and the staff was friendly...a calm oasis at the mall

Came here for a lovely lunch today and had the most wonderful time. We got the crab cake salad and the Neiman burger, and both very delicious and made with good quality ingredients. The service was polite and everything was very clean with the staff constantly cleaning and sanitizing between clients. Highly recommended.

Everything was amazing here. From the food to the service to the atmosphere... The staff was so nice to our 2 kiddos. They went to town on their kids quesadilla...I loved my chicken sandwich...coffee was amazing...cookies amazing ( glad we only bought 2)...

Complimentary popovers with pink butter! (butter + strawberry jam) They were warm and delicious.

I think this place is a solid 4 stars, I'm docking one star off mostly because the quality of the food is not QUITE up to par when compared with the price point. My mom and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and we found it pleasantly quiet and a lovely atmosphere in which to get away from the hustle and bustle of GSP--I live about 15 minutes away from the mall, and I've seen pretty much all of the highs and lows of it all. We were seated by the window, which gave us a nice view, and I finally realized that The Rotunda was the place that I'd seen when I was passing by in a car--not knowing that it was a restaurant! The waitress was very friendly and attentive, and we opted to not order any drinks and just went with still water. We were delighted when we received a complimentary popover. I remember my mom making these for me when I was younger--and they're just as buttery and lovely (and WARM!) as I remembered them--even if they aren't homemade! It comes with a delicious butter that's mixed with strawberry jam. When we asked for seconds later on, the popover-passer-outer did not hesitate to give us more. We ordered a sandwich+soup deal of the day, the sandwich chosen was the Tuna Salad, and the soup was a cheese tortellini. It also came with a cute side cup of fruits, which were pretty fresh, though not really something I'd go for if it were on the menu--good thing they came with the meal. It was also super salty and I had to chug like two glasses of water to balance it out. The Tuna Salad sandwich was delicious, the bread was very yummy--there were a lot of ingredients inside the salad, and not just plain ol' tuna-and-mayo. I remember there was a bit of crunch--celery? It could've used a bit more lemon juice, but there was definitely already some lemon in it. I was impressed. The cheese tortellini was not that overcooked, but the soup/sauce part basically like a thick marinara sauce--where were my breadsticks to dip this in? My mom got the turkey club sandwich, which she really enjoyed--it was on a hearty bread that held in the sandwich's contents well. We also received complimentary mint chocolate pieces at the end, yay!

Spectacular service ! Arrived at about 11:15am for a quick lunch before running errands. Ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which was very tasty and my partner ordered the burger which was also very good. Complimentary pop over and broth prior to our meal and the sweetest server who gave us complimentary key lime pie and chocolate dessert to go. Must try !

I love love love this little secret place. Hidden upstairs in Neiman Marcus. The food is healthy and refreshing. Classy and fun. The waiters and waitresses are sweet as pie and on it but not interfering in your time with your lunch date. I love it here. I go 2x a week. It's my getaway

It was quiet surprise there is small place that I could have quiet lunch inside of the mall. I went there 12:30pm weekday, 8-10 tables were occupied. Right after I received menu, they served popover with strawberry butter. And also small cup of chicken soup. I got crab cake salad($19), my friend got mushroom/vegetable risotto with shrimp($16+$2 shrimp). They were quiet good. Portion was just enough for lunch. Homemade pomegranate lemon aid was very tasty also. Restaurant has view towards to the outdoor parking lot. Even though I had to look at the parking lot, it was nice to spend some quiet relaxed meal inside of the mall while looking over outside.

Outdoor seating available, but large windows, which were open last night. We were seated promptly at a window seat and Diana came by pretty quickly to take our order. You have to try their Focaccia bread. They do a little something special that makes it so crispy outside, but fluffy and buttery on the inside. My wife ordered the "The Clam Jam" (beer-braised littlenecks, Calabrian chili, house sausage and Espelette Butter). She love the dish, as did I the one clam she allowed. I ordered the Hamachi Crudo (Organic cherry ponzu, lime, jalapeño, shiro dashi, pistachio gremolata and red onion.) This is a very fancy ceviche, with cherries and all the fixins' which I would gladly order again... My wife's entrée was the Goffle Road farm half chicken (crispy fingerling potatoes, herb butter & roast chicken jus). Gotta say, they Lula's does a great job with this chicken. I stop by Goffle Road farm and the chicken is superior to pretty much anything else, but this came out with such a light crispy skin and so juicy and tender. Excellent! My entrée was the Elite Prime Grass-Fed Coulotte steak (Pomme puree, crispy sunchokes & black garlic jus.) The steak was done to perfection and the potatoes puree were so very creamy and good. No dessert tonight... just a couple cups of coffee and a little walk around Ridgewood. Busy place! Lula is a BYO!

The hospitality was incredible. We went there for my birthday. All the staff knew it was my birthday and they also knew that I was eight months pregnant and wanted to make sure that I was comfortable. The food was exceptional. The wait staff was so nice and provided recommendations while not pushing any one dish. We got the focaccia, softshell crab, Peking duck and chicken liver for appetizers. The softshell crab was the best I've ever had, and I would come back to this restaurant for this alone. The Peking duck was juicy and tender with the most incredible slaw type salad underneath it. The focaccia with the butter was also phenomenal, the owner actually brought it out to us and we had a nice conversation with him and you can tell he just poured his heart and soul into this restaurant. The focaccia is definitely not an appetizer to be overlooked just because it is bread. While I couldn't have any of the chicken liver mousse, it looked stunning, and my husband said that it was incredible and so light and fluffy, and it was a massive portion. I look forward to when we come back when I'm not pregnant and I can eat it. For dinner I got the Arctic char, and my husband got the pork. The Arctic char was unbelievable. It was piping hot and literally just melted in my mouth with each bite and the side that came with it was a mix of asparagus, mushrooms, farro and I don't know what else, but it was fantastic if I could have that side on its own as well, I would order more. My husband's pork was crispy and delicious with another incredible slaw topping, and it was so massive he has to take home like a third of it for dessert. We had the lemon meringue tart for dessert, which was also incredible and so refreshing for a dessert. All of the food was outrageously fresh and just outstanding. This restaurant is our new favorite place and on the way out we even made a reservation for three weeks from now to come back. This is probably the best restaurant that I've eaten at in Ridgewood hands down and I'm so glad that they are in the area. The restaurant adds a new vibe with food that is so phenomenal to match. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area as a MUST try. Of course me and my husband will be going back in a few weeks and we can't wait.

She was very attentive and made our meal pleasant and comfortable. I started with a Blood Orange Margarita (Calirosa 'Rosa Blanca' Tequila, orange liqueur, fresh sour, blood orange). This drink was VERY GOOD. The hint of blood orange was the perfect amount of sweetness and I was content with my selection. The appetizer was the Slow-Roasted Meatballs (porcini-dusted veal, pork, grass-fed beef, tomato-basil sauce, brick-oven bread). Each meatball was tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and the sauce was sufficient to accompany every forkful of the delicious starter. The entrees were: Caramelized Sea Scallops (broccolini, mascarpone risotto). Next was the Seasonal Brick-Oven Gnocchi (roasted mushrooms, truffle oil, roasted tomatoes, Marsala and provolone sauce, green onions). The final entree was the Mediterranean Wood-Grilled Chicken Salad (arugula, toybox tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions, chickpeas, quinoa, feta, lemon dijon vinaigrette). For dessert, Seasons 52 graciously offered a free dessert for my birthday. Another nice touch that places Seasons 52 on a pedestal. The menu offers a wide variety of options, making it easy to satisfy different tastes. Wood-fired steaks and prime rib are among the highlights, while dishes like the sesame-crusted ahi tuna showcase the restaurant's seafood offerings. One thing that sets Fire & Oak apart is its sushi menu, which pairs surprisingly well alongside the more traditional steakhouse selections. Whether you're in the mood for a burger, fresh seafood, sushi, or a hearty steak, there are plenty of choices to build a satisfying meal. The beverage program complements the food just as well, with a thoughtful selection of signature cocktails, wines, and local craft beers. A well-made Old Fashioned pairs nicely with one of the wood-fired steaks, while a crisp white wine is a great match for the seafood or sushi. The variety makes it just as enjoyable to stop by for drinks at the bar as it is for a full dinner. Service throughout my visit was attentive, professional, and well paced. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations, and despite a busy dining room, everything arrived at a comfortable pace without feeling rushed. Overall, Fire & Oak delivers a well-rounded dining experience with quality food, attentive service, and a stylish atmosphere. Her bday was this weekend so she booked a large table for family and friends. I was relieved to see they had valet. Parking is atrocious in this development so to only pay $10 to be 10 feet from the door was awesome. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff know her well and treated her as a valued guest. Here's the rundown: We went for BRUNCH. They have a prix fixe for $41 of most of the brunch items and it includes 2 Bellini, 2 mimosas, or 2 Bloody Marys. Good right?
