The service was amazing and so attentive, the food came out SO quick even on a busy Saturday night, and the place is huge and gorgeous. I got the filet with shrimp and it was cooked to perfection, and he got the lamb chop which he says is the best he ever had. The prices were also super reasonable especially for the area. This review is tough because the food was a 5 star but the service was a 3 star. For the food side we had a steak flatbread and a burrata appetizer. Both were very good. The flatbread was outstanding, crispy crust and enough steak but not overwhelming. For dinner we had the pork chop and the chilliean sea bass. Both were excellent. The pork chop was tender and flavorful and the sea bass was cooked properly and very tasty. But the star. Was the potato side dish. It was excellent. But the service left a bit to be desired. Our water glasses were never refilled during the meal, a bottled beer was ordered and brought but no glass was offered. After all our plates and silverware were cleared away with the appetizers, they were not replaced until after our meals were brought over. This is one of those places where your waiter takes the order, somebody else does the water, and different people bring the food. Though this is very common in a lot of restaurants it was just a bit disjointed. I may be being a bit hard on the servers but compared to other restaurants in the chain the service was a step down. There were other good things though. The value is very good. The food is definitely not overly pricy for what you get. The first time I went here I really enjoyed. This visit was just average. The food was ok, but not as good as our first visit. We liked the charcuterie board. We did not like the artichoke hummus dish. The butternut squash soup was average. The salmon was just ok. My husband had the steak & lobster and he did not enjoy. We ordered some drinks off the menu. This place isn't too crowded for a weekend lunch, has a nice atmosphere, and wasn't too expensive for a nice meal. They push their flatbreads, so we tried the pepperoni, and it was crunchy, tasty, and pretty feeling for a couple of people. A great appetizer to split for a party. He got the filet mignon which was juicy and tender, nicely accompanied by mashed potatoes and asparagus. I go I liked they have a lunch menu available on Saturday and got the steak tacos which included 3 tacos, avocado, and a green salad. Both entrees were decent on calories with a lot of flavor. Seasons 52 is always a fave for a fresh and healthy meal. Portions are hearty, but everything is fresh and healthy so you walk away without feeling stuffed. I almost always order the steak tacos, which come with three oversized tacos and a very generous amount of perfectly tender steak. The steak is topped with lots of fresh pico and cheese, and there's also a side salad. This dish is so good that I don't order much else, but they also have really good flatbreads. I have a location closer to home that I usually frequent, but for a nice meal at GSP you can't go wrong. read more

Seasons 52 is one of my favorite restaurants. It's spacious, very clean, has an open kitchen, a large bar, and delicious food. Our Server, Samantha, was exceptional. She was very attentive and made our meal pleasant and comfortable. I started with a Blood Orange Margarita (Calirosa 'Rosa Blanca' Tequila, orange liqueur, fresh sour, blood orange). This drink was VERY GOOD. The hint of blood orange was the perfect amount of sweetness and I was content with my selection. The appetizer was the Slow-Roasted Meatballs (porcini-dusted veal, pork, grass-fed beef, tomato-basil sauce, brick-oven bread). Each meatball was tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and the sauce was sufficient to accompany every forkful of the delicious starter. The entrees were: Caramelized Sea Scallops (broccolini, mascarpone risotto). Next was the Seasonal Brick-Oven Gnocchi (roasted mushrooms, truffle oil, roasted tomatoes, Marsala and provolone sauce, green onions). The final entree was the Mediterranean Wood-Grilled Chicken Salad (arugula, toybox tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions, chickpeas, quinoa, feta, lemon dijon vinaigrette). For dessert, Seasons 52 graciously offered a free dessert for my birthday. Another nice touch that places Seasons 52 on a pedestal. I chose the Key Lime Pie Mini (graham cracker crust, whipped cream). I have been to a few Seasons 52 locations and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere and this place was no exception. Unfortunately, I was here as part of a memorial service for someone and we had a private room where the Seasons 52 team served us appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts from a fixed menu. To start, the team was amazing. They had everything coordinated very well and they also handled the situation with the compassion and seriousness it deserved while also being friendly and caring. The food was also on point...the flatbreads were outstanding and I could have eaten just those, but they were followed by a tasty salad. It was so big, I couldn't finish it because I had to save room for my gnocchi, which was also great. Others got the salmon and believe me when I tell you everyone cleaned their plates. We were offered a selection of small, parfait-like desserts. I had something with peanut butter and chocolate which is always a win in my book. When I think of mall-tethered restaurants, something in me immediately decides not to expect much. But Seasons 52 surprised me. The restaurant is located in the Westfield Plaza mall, accessible both within the mall and through its own entrance outside the mall. We arrived through the latter and I was surprised to find a quiet, classy space that that if you were seated in one of the interior spaces as we were, you would never know you were actually inside a bustling mall. Besides the space, the menu is another happy surprise, promising seasonal fare and - best yet - ALL of their menu offerings are under 600 calories. For a foodie who regularly struggles to watch her calorie intake when dining out, this felt like a rare, restaurant-gifted ordering spree. My husband loved his Maui Tuna crunch salad, which certainly lived up to its name with all kinds of textures. He was especially impressed by the freshness and quality of the seared tuna. I decided to go with the soup and flatbread pairing, which proved to be another solid choice. Aside from wishing my chicken tortilla soup had a little more actual chicken, I had no complaints. Service There was 8 of us, waitress went around the table taking orders and at the very end asked if she got everything. She didn't as she forget to get my order. Not huge but when you're trying to be this upscale fancy experience forgetting to take someone's order says a lot. But it gets worse. The drinks come out, and some other waiter comes with one red wine glass. This was the first drink to be delivered. We ask what wine it is, he says "red". Real specific guy, there is 8 of us and we all ordered wine. This guy could not tell us the name, the type or anything other than he has red wine for one of the 8 people at my table. What kind of service is that? Are the employees not trained or lack the sense to ask what wine they're running to a table? I've been in the restaurant industry for years and even I would think to least ask the type of wine this is I'm running to the table. When the food got here and I unravel my napkin, there are gross stains all over it. This is just unacceptable for any restaurant let alone the level this restaurant aims to be. The food was good. No complaints, the food doesn't have anything that sticks out as overly creative or to die for. I got the salmon and was pleased with it, my wife got a steak that wasn't bad but also I feel I've gotten way better elsewhere. Overall the staff needs to be trained better. There needs to be some level of standard when at this level of dining. These mistakes may have been overlooked for a chilis or ruby Tuesday but for this level these mistakes and short comings are exasperated. read more

Usually for my birthday I like to do one special meal at a Michelin star restaurant, however this year I decided I'd rather visit three places for the price of one, starting here. It was quite busy on a Thursday at 5:30 so I figured this was a good spot to be. I was greeted very warmly when I walked in and my OpenTable reservation said it was for a birthday so when I was seated at the bar (my choice) he let the bartender know this. My meal began with the stuffed mushroom appetizer. They were very heavily stuffed and very good however the mushroom itself was a bit rubbery. When they served my entree of wood fired wild Alaskan halibut, I was presented with a glass of champagne. Very sweet gesture. The meal itself was perfection, perfectly cooked fish and bright, delicious veggies. For dessert I was shown the tower of death, I mean dessert. Shot glasses of about seven varieties of desserts. I took home the bartenders pick of a pecan pie and I also got the dark chocolate s'mores. Both very delicious and a wonderful 3 to 4 bites each. My server was very kind and attentive. It was flavorful and veggies were perfect and did not overwhelm the flavor of the food. Service was good but slow, then again it just opened so I get it. Enough checks to feel valued but not Bothered which is good. Ambiance is nice with a hint of high end...It is wide open with a lot of seating but the lower than normal ceiling made you feel as if Bilbo Baggins was joining the group. Drinks were good as well but almost too strong which is way better than too weak. Definitely worth going to if you are at the mall. We were at Season 52 on weekday evening for celebratory dinner. I was able to make reservation 30 minutes beforehand and despite being 15 minimum late due to traffic, still got the table. The restaurant had little bit crowd, buzzing around the bar area. I ordered the crab cake and lobster bisque from starters section. Crab cake was decent. Lobster bisque wasn't that good, as the soup was too thick. The crackers that came with it were stale. I got to they the rotisserie half chicken. That was the best item of the night, really well cooked chicken with flavorful marinated skin. The service was fine. Food came out pretty quickly. Went here for lunch with my mom, her husband, and mine at mom's insistence and raving over it. Per my girlfriends, all other moms apparently also absolutely love this place. Pros: Healthy. Lamb - always a risky order - surprisingly also prepared well. Fish dishes were a decent size and seemed fresh. Cons: Several. First, this place isn't cheap. Entrees are generally in the low $30s. Which is okay but I'd rather go to Cheesecake Factory and pay $30 for something tasty and interesting and just take half of it home. Seasons' menu was rather boring. Second, seasoning. Can you please provide some? I had to ask for salt and pepper and season both me and my mom's fish dishes to make it less hospital-food tasting. Third, the calorie thing again. It extremely limits the menu and seems a bit controlling? Can we just make half the menu 600 calories or under maybe and trust the patrons to handle their own caloric intake? It seems rather controlling. While maybe your mom may love this "theme," your husband who went to CrossFit in the am probably will not and beg to stop at McDonald's on the way home. Went on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm and had no trouble being seated. The restaurant had a nice vibe and the waitstaff really nice. I had a lovely cucumber vodka smash drink and the artichoke flatbread appetizer. Both were lovely and very tasty. My friend had the salmon on cedar plank and I had the truffle risotto. The risotto came out piping hot just how I like it and you could definitely taste the truffle. As it cooled down though, it became very salty tasting and I couldn't finish it. THe salmon was cooked perfectly and came with a side of string beans and potatoes. Huge wine list. No beers. read more

I was once, several years ago (& prepandemic) down in Florida somewhere, at a Seasons 52 for dinner with friends we were visiting. I remember way back then, being impressed with seasonal vegetables, reasonably priced and reasonably sized portions. My lunch in NJ with two friends was just as good! Apparently the menu changes seasonally, hence the name. One friend had the caprese sandwich, the other had the crabcake sandwich, and I had the chicken and farro salad. All 3 were beautifully presented, well prepared, and tasty. Mine was a variety of greens, a small scoop of perfectly cooked farro, watermelon radish slices, very pretty and delicious. Normally we wouldn't have had dessert, but my friends asked our kind server, Cartier, for the dessert array. I thought it was an odd way to ask for a dessert menu...but in a few minutes, he returned with a spiral rack that held several small dishes. He described each one lovingly, but started by telling us that those weren't real, so he could touch them to demonstrate what was in each one. Three of us ordered, each a different kind! My friend told Cartier that he gave the best presentation of any time they'd been there! So I rarely take food photos in restaurants but I had to take our 3 mini desserts! Seasons 52 exceeded my expectations! We had made a dinner reservation a few days in advance for our party of 5. Parking at Garden State Plaza was super easy on a Sunday, and the restaurant was moderately busy. The interior had dim lighting and classy but forgettable decor. I really liked the round booth we were seated at though. For drinks, I got the Botanical Smash mocktail, which was light and refreshing. We also ordered a few starters for the table - the Lump Crab And Shrimp-Stuffed Mushrooms and Ahi Tuna Tartare. The Lump Crab And Shrimp-Stuffed Mushrooms came served in an escargot dish, and were very tasty. I couldn't taste the crab very much, but the mushroom and shrimp were cooked very well. The Ahi Tuna Tartare was tasty, but they went a little heavy on the wasabi. It was hard to tell what was avocado versus wasabi in the dim lighting, so I got a few shockingly spicy bites. The tuna itself was fresh and tasty though! For my entree, I got a bowl of Lobster Bisque and a side of Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops. Both of these were amazing! The Lobster Bisque was perfectly creamy without being too heavy, and had some lobster chunks. The Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops had a great texture and flavor, as well. We also ordered the Truffled Risotto for the table, which was delicious. The real truffles and mascarpone risotto went together so well. My family enjoyed all their dishes as well, including the Rotisserie Half Chicken, Wood-Grilled Kona Crusted Lamb Loin, and Maui Tuna Crunch Salad. We couldn't resist ordering dessert at the end, and I chose the Key Lime Pie Mini. This came served in a long shot glass, and tasted awesome! It was also the perfect portion size after a big meal. The best thing I ate was the golden beet salad. The service was inefficient. We told our waitress we were sharing our entree yet sharing plates weren't brought with the entree. We waited. The mushroom soup was nicely done as well and had generous portions for a cup. The appetizer that didnt really pass was the crab cake. It was not so much the taste but rather, it felt underwhelming. It probably was also because we expected two or three pieces of it to share but it just came in one piece and was served in such a big plate it looked lacking and sad. If we had been made aware it was only a piece and/or if it was served in an appropriate sized plate wherein it didnt look so mall in one dish perhaps it wouldve made some difference. But staff was good though and attended to us well. I enjoyed the Pork Chops as it had very nice flavor and had tender meat. Filet mignone was also good and the rest enjoyed their orders. Ambiance was a bit darker than what I wouldve preferred and since there wasnt a lot of people, it just seemed quiet and less lively. Our server, Christine was super. For her age, she was polite, helpful and didn't rush us. What question was asked of her she answered. The table ordered salads to start with. All the ingredients were fresh and the salad was cold. I had the salmon. I asked it to be well done, but it was burnt. I mentioned it to our server and she too noticed it. She offered to take it back but I declined. A few minutes later the manager came over. He said I was offered another platter but I refused. He did say they would still take care of me, which they did. My husband had the pork chop, which was delicious, as did our friend. His wife had the veal loin that was soft as butter.
