My second time visiting this time I sat at the dining area and every thing was just perfect it was a Friday night they had live music the place is dim and cozy very beautiful atmosphere. The server was very nice and friendly. We started with the spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious for the entree I had the Chilean Sea Bass and wow wow wow! Amazing he had one of the steak can't remember which one lol but it was delicious for sides we had the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes all delicious Finished it with the very popular Banana Foster Butter cake unbelievable delicious soft on the inside perfect crunch on the outside sweet but delicious definitely coming back.

This is the special occasion place for Paterson, Garfield and Lodi. So the steak is the best in the mall. The sides not that great. Tried the filet, New York stip and the rib eye. All were cooked as asked and seasoned well. The potato au gratin was potato in cheese soup. Not worth the price.

Went here for happy hour. The food was very good, the service could have been better at the bar. The ambiance is great and we definitely came too early. A band starts everyday at 6:30 which I was about to leave at that time. Will be going back next time and for the incredible beat salad. The filet sliders were delicious also!

The Java Jewel. Delicious decadent espresso martini with an orange flair.

Ambiance, service, and quality of food exceeded expectations! I loved that since this gathering was a small reunion of friends, we were not rushed, offered several delicious recommendations, and forgot to take photos of our entrees!

This place has been on my list for a while. We were shopping at the mall and decided to take a chance. It was the best decision. All the food was excellent our waiter was so attentive and caring. She was the best. Our meat, soup and drinks were awesome. My Hope diamond was pretty and delicious. We received the banana foster complimentary of the house. There was a band playing Christmas music. I will be back. It was worth every penny.

Solid 4.5 Lovely place with a nice atmosphere. Crab cakes were delicious, steak tartare lacked a bit more zing but still okay. Ribeye was cooked perfectly, nice char. Sea bass was amazing!! Buttery and flavorful. Nice spot in NJ for a chill, special occasion. Polished but not pretentious.

My husband and I met another couple here for dinner since it was a convenient midpoint for both of us. I had visited previously with some girlfriends and was excited for my husband to experience it as well, especially because we both love seafood. The front-of-house staff was welcoming and seated us very quickly. Our waitress was outstanding--you could tell she was committed to ensuring we had an exceptional experience. She checked on us consistently, was warm and professional. I ordered the Chilean sea bass served over sautéed spinach with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Both were superb--the flavor, texture, and overall presentation. For dessert, my husband and I shared the Bananas Foster Butter Cake with pecan ice cream and whipped cream, complete with the tableside flame presentation. During the meal, I enjoyed a glass of Sancerre (a favorite of mine).. I would definitely return--perhaps a bit hungrier--to explore even more of the menu. My only very slight critique is food temperature; although everything was absolutely delicious, it could have been served just a touch warmer. Still, the quality, service, and atmosphere make Eddie V's Prime Seafood a restaurant I highly recommend. We will absolutely be back. ---------------------------------------------- "Because dining is more than food - it's flavor, style and elegance that should be savored one bite at a time." - AMC

Again. This place delivers. The staff is super attentive. The food is delicious and the vibe is excellent with live jazz music playing after 6:30. You can also pop in for happy hour from 4 to 6:30 and enjoy a small bite at a better price. Either way excellent;) the Chilean Seabass is my favorite.

Fantastic hospitality, surprisingly lively environment and a really, realllly nice, upscale experience, but the entrees and service wait fell a bit short for me. Our family came here to celebrate my wife and my wedding anniversary and we were definitely looking forward to the experience. We made a reservation for 5:30pm on a Sunday and, much to our surprise, the restaurant was verrrrry busy. Typically, Bergen County is pretty quiet on Sundays, especially in the evening with the work week about to start, but you'd never know it at Eddie V's. We were seated promptly and greeted with a nicely decorated table with rose pedals to mark our occasion. In addition, there was a happy anniversary card on the table too. Definitely all pluses and wouldn't have expected anything less from Eddie V's. We had already done our research ahead of time on what were going to eat so we were primed and ready to go! .... EXCEPT the fact that the service was as slow as a snail. Don't get me wrong, our waiter was moving quite fast, but he was repeatedly tending to other tables so we had to wait for what felt like forever for him to come back every time we were ready to proceed - whether it was to order drinks, order food, have our plates taken away or get the check. More on this later. As for what we ordered, we absolutely didn't hold back since it was a special night for us. We ordered the following: JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE - Absolutely a very good crab cake. Lots of super fresh crab lumped together nicely and, more importantly, lots of flavor. POINT JUDITH CALAMARI - Probably our favorite dish of the evening. The calamari was super duper crispy and the sauce was mmmm mmmmm perfect for this. Initially, we were on the fence about ordering this because it was finished with a red chili ginger soy sauce, which wouldn't bode well for our 2 toddlers, but, the sauce was actually quite sweet and delicious. It DID have the slightest of kicks to it so if you plan on sharing it with the kids, you can tell them to drizzle the sauce on part of the appetizer instead. 10OZ FILET MIGNON AND 5OZ ROASTED SOUTH AFRICAN LOBSTER - Filet mignon + 2 lobster tails, need I say more? The steak was good, but the best I've had? No. I felt it was a littttttle dry and chewy, but this was my wife's entree and she loved it. I also felt that the lobster tail was a bit on the overcooked side and was in desperate need of some butter. CHILEAN SEA BASS - Growing up in a Chinese household, I had quite a bit of experience devouring Chilean sea bass since my mother cooked it quite frequently. Personally, the presentation of the sea bass on the sauteed spinach was great here, but the sea bass was a bit bland for me. It definitely needed the light sherry soy broth, EXCEPT the fact that the broth was too salty. I typically love salty foods, but even this was too, too salty for my tastebuds. For $53, I really wanted to love it, but the saltiness of the broth was hard to swallow for me. CRAB FRIED RICE AU GRATIN CHEDDAR POTATOES - First, these 2 sides were humongous! They easily could have been their own entrees. The fried rice was typical fried rice, except, ONCE AGAIN, it was a bit too salty. The cheddar potatoes were extremely cheesy. So much so that I felt it dominated too much of the dish. GRILLED CHICKEN W FRESH FRUIT PLATE, STEAMED ASPARAGUS, ICE CREAM W COOKIES - For our kids, we tried to order something a bit on the healthier side - the grilled chicken with asparagus and, as you can imagine, it was quite plain. Not much to say about this except that it's what you would expect for grilled chicken. BANANAS FOSTER BUTTER CAKE - Lastly, we ended the evening with this. I loveeeeeed it. It was definitely sweet and maybe more sweetness than most can handle, but I couldn't stop eating it with the creamy butter pecan ice cream. Also, it was quite rich in rum so if you don't take well to alcohol, this can hit pretty hard. Even though some of the food was disappointing, specifically around the oversalting, we still very much enjoyed our time here. Of course we wish that the food was more inviting and that we didn't have to spend 2.5 hours dining here with our 2 toddlers, but, nevertheless the staff was very friendly and the environment was perfect for our occasion. Docking 2 stars due to the lack of timely service and saltiness of the food, however, Eddie V's definitely has the potential to be 5 stars in my opinion. P.S. If there is a dress code, you wouldn't know by looking at the crowd. Customers wore sneakers, sweaters, t-shirts, so if you don't feel like dressing up to come here, there isn't a need to. Although, it's probably best to at least clean yourself up and look somewhat presentable and not like you're headed to the gym.

3.5 stars. I came for Thanksgiving dinner as there was a change in plans. As a solo diner, I decided to take a seat at the bar and it was the best decision as they had a phenomenal three-piece jazz band playing that was a wonderful departure from the already tiresome holiday music being played all around. I arrived to an almost empty bar and while I was greeted in a decent amount of time, it took almost 30 minutes for them to bring out their bread which thankfully was absolutely wonderful but still. For my entrée I went with the bone in New York Strip and the extra three scallop accompaniment along with a side of au gratin potatoes. The taste of everything was very good however my steak was more medium than medium rare however it wasn't that big of a deal to send it back but it's worth noting when spending almost $70 for a piece of meat. The scallops were well seasoned and cooked well and the potatoes were tasty but it could have used more creaminess as the cheese really firmed up and it was too thick as the meal went on. I was too full to order dessert although the bananas foster was something I would have loved to try.

Best food, ambience, service hands down. Reasonable valet cost, entrance gorgeous, cleanliness was great, bread was hot and butter was delicious. Can't speak for everything on the menu but for on my experience on what I did have was a top notch experience. Golden hour cocktail Sweetness due to the pineapple juice but balanced Hint of strawberry flavor although guava is listed, its nice splash of all the flavors combined. 24k cocktail Rose gives it a bubbly sensation, the peach is hidden, don't feel the strength of the grand marnier but pretty sure it will creep up later. Crab cake : was creamy but flakey with a nice balance of a light crust on top and compliments well the remoulade sauce, fascinating flavors Crab fried rice : Delicious, a nice portion for 2 but I eat for 2 sooo, topped with a hefty amount of crab on top. I've eaten a lot of fried rice from a lot of different Asian and Japanese cuisines b4 but this place hands down serves up the best. Lobster mash potatoes: whipped perfectly, smoothe, taste was magnificent. I dont know how this place has existed and it's taken me so long to experience it.

We ordered a few things. Spicy Tuna Tartare: wasn't spicy, didn't taste fresh which wasn't a deterrent to me as this isn't a seafood restaurant or fine dining. Next time I'd pass on that. Bavarian Pretzel: amazing. Very tasty. Came out nice and hot. That rarebit cheese sauce? Oh honey that can come home with me anytime. Absolutely delicious. And this is coming from someone who hates that fake cheese, cheese whiz type taste. Margherita Pizza: didn't come out hot which is probably why I wasn't a fan of it. It was pretty mediocre for such a basic pizza. And the food didn't come out all together, so not sure why that didn't come out hot. Wings and waffles: Tasty buffalo wings. The waffles actually taste like funnel cake which was a nice surprise. THEN. The burger came out and that is why this review dropped. It had a small hair on the side of the plate and a closer look at the rest of the plate, you'll see a long hair on the pickle. That was disappointing but happy to have tried the place nonetheless.

The Roosevelt is a themed restaurant, lounge, and speakeasy inspired by... you guessed it,…read morePresident FDR. For those who aren't history junkies, FDR ran on a platform calling for the repeal of the 18th amendment, Prohibition. During the Prohibition Era, speakeasies (hidden drinking establishments) popped up left and right due to the nationwide ban on alcohol sales, consumption, production, importation, and transportation. After his presidential victory, the 21st Amendment, ratified on December 5, 1933, officially repealed Prohibition. The restaurant's name is a celebration of FDR's repeal and how it impacted the American hospitality industry and economy as a whole. The interior is meant to transport customers back to the roaring twenties. Think flappers, The Great Gatsby, dim lighting, black/gold/burgundy colors, plush chairs, geometric wall patterns, vintage chandeliers, mosaic tiled floors, etc. There's four "sections" of the restaurant to dine in, each with a different vibe. *Lucy's Parlor - A hidden speakeasy named after FDR's mistress. This is my favorite space. They really went creative with the wall decor! There's black and white photos of Prohibition protests, as well as excerpts from love letters exchanged between FDR and Lucy. There's a small bar and a good amount of seating. Sophisticated, sexy vibe. *The Hide Out - A private and intimate dining space for a group of 4-6 people. You get special attention from the Executive Chef. They offer two seatings per night by reservation. *The Saloon - One of the main dining areas, complete with a large bar, high top tables, a fireplace, a vintage piano, and flat screen tvs. *The Dining Room - A formal dining area for private events and parties. It has a mahogany bar, skylights, and LED lighting. The drinks and food? Of COURSE they're on par with the theme. Most of the menu is elevated bar food, but they also have steak, pork chop, and seafood options. They have Happy Hour every day - all day on Wed & Sun and twice a day from Thursday-Saturday! DJs on the weekend. They even have a Sunday brunch! I've only had drinks, so can't speak on the food yet. I've tried... *Roosevelt Side Car (Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, syrup, and lemon juice with a sugared rim) $15 - Definitely a strong drink with a sour aftertaste! Not my favorite. *The Bee's Knees (Hendricks Gin, St-Germain, lemon juice, and honey topped with rose water) $15 - Refreshing, bright flavor and definitely on the sweeter side, but I loved it. Whether you want to sip on creative cocktails, book a private event, or enjoy a dinner meal, The Roosevelt is worth a visit.

When I returned, my entire table had been cleared including my cigar despite my personal belongings still being there. I asked to speak with the manager, Ric, to explain what happened. Instead of taking ownership or attempting to resolve the situation, he told me he "didn't know I was coming back" and decided to clear the table anyway. Even after I pointed out that my jacket was still at the table, he simply said it was an error and there was nothing he was going to do. What made the situation even worse was his attitude. He then questioned whether I had purchased the cigar there and tried to tell me I should have paid a $10 fee for bringing one in something I have NEVER been charged in my many previous visits. Rather than acknowledging his mistake, he doubled down. I suggested a simple goodwill gesture allowing me to buy a replacement cigar at a discount and he flatly and rudely refused. When I asked what he could do to make the situation right, he said "nothing" and ended the conversation. Mistakes happen in hospitality. What's unacceptable is the complete lack of accountability, empathy, or basic customer care from management. The dismissive and confrontational response turned a simple error into a truly negative experience. Based on how this was handled, I will not be returning and I would strongly caution others about the level of service they can expect if an issue arises.

The transformation from the previous restaurant is truly impressive. The Paella Arancini was incredibly unique and absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very pretty overall, though the interior is quite dim, making it difficult to read the menu without additional light. The tables were also placed fairly close together. Our server was polite and welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the Korean fried chicken and tuna tataki. The chicken was moist and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The tuna tataki was flavorful; however, the taro chips were very thin and tended to break easily when holding the tuna. For our main courses, we ordered the Icelandic cod, rigatoni, Freebird chicken, and a side of whipped potatoes. Dessert was the hazelnut chocolate crunch, which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the food was enjoyable. That said, the pricing felt more in line with a fine dining experience, while the atmosphere and service were closer to an upscale casual restaurant. Some small details, such as the whipped potatoes being served without a serving spoon, stood out. While minor, these details can make a difference, especially at this price point.

There were multiple places throughout the establishment which were set up with a back drop to snap pictures.  The vibe on the top floor blew my mind. I never imaged there would be a place like this is Bergenfield. There were dancers on stilts, confetti, smoke machines, and a screen to watch the dj. I enjoyed myself.

We had ordered Guacamole which tasted kind of bland and was just average. Drinks were pretty good though. My main issue was how they have setup their Hookah. Very limited Flavors to begin with and except for one, all other flavors were not so great. On top of that, they charge $10 extra to replace the Coals. $10 for COALS..?!?!? I have been to so many Hookah Lounges and this was the 1st we were ever charged for getting the coals changed. That is just atrocious. Switching the complete bowl with new flavor was $20, so obviously we ended up opting for that eventhough the 1st bowl/flavour was still good and just needed new coals.

The service was professional and attentive while the steaks delivered on their expected doneness. I suspect, that's why you come. A really easy five stars.

With over 180 wing flavors to choose from, the only problem you will have is deciding because you will want to explore this seemingly never ending list. These are a couple of the wings I explored: Peanut Butter & Jelly Wings: These wings were smothered in creamy peanut butter with a heaping mound of jelly. At first I was reluctant to explore this unusual combination, but as soon as I gave it a try, it was love at first bite. Feel free to smear or dip; the choice is yours. S'mores Wings: This is another unique, but unbelievably savory combination. These dessert style wings were smothered in marshmallow cream, drizzled with chocolate syrup, and sprinkled with crushed pieces of graham crackers. It was a sight for sore eyes. If you need additional chocolate sauce don't be afraid to ask for "s'more." And make sure you request "s'more" napkins because you will certainly need them! In addition to the wings, I also explored one of the main courses. Blue 42 Burger: Named after the restaurant, this burger is topped with mozzarella sticks, blue cheese crumble and bacon. The Blue 42 char on top of the bun has a nice decorative touch. If you are a fan of the Green Bay Packers, you have come to the right spot. The interior is decorated with Packers memorabilia, which even includes wall art on the ceiling. All fans are still welcome even if you aren't an aficionado of the Packers. The restaurant staff also supports New Jersey's finest, New Jersey's bravest, the ambulance corp, and the armed forces. I truly enjoyed dining at this local bar and I see why their wings are high profile. #blue42 #wingman #wingmanblue42 #blue42elmwoodpark #blue42burger #smoreswings #smores #peanutbutterandjelly #peanutbutterandjellywings #pbj #pbjwings #elmwoodparknj #GreenBayPackersFans #njfinest #njbravest #AmbulanceCorp #armedforces

Do all possible combinations truly have value? At what point does variety become a little ridiculous? That said, the bones -- so to speak -- are very good. The wings are fried well, generously sauced, and satisfying in whatever flavor palette you ultimately settle on. Just do not expect the decision-making process to come easily.

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
