This place was amazing. This establishment was able to create a Miami feel night club in Bergenfield. I was really is disbelief when I walked through the establishment.  There as outdoor/indoor space for hookah was on the first floor. The upper level is where I spent the majority of the time. The bar was slow but that how it in a night club most times. The drinks were delicious. All the staff were friendly. There were multiple places throughout the establishment which were set up with a back drop to snap pictures.  The vibe on the top floor blew my mind. I never imaged there would be a place like this is Bergenfield. Beautiful setting and great vibes if you are looking to chill out or party with your friends. Service was quite good but Food options was quite limited when compared to the Drinks Menu, and price was definitely on the higher end, which was still acceptable for such a spot. We had ordered Guacamole which tasted kind of bland and was just average. Drinks were pretty good though. My main issue was how they have setup their Hookah. Very limited Flavors to begin with and except for one, all other flavors were not so great. On top of that, they charge $10 extra to replace the Coals. $10 for COALS..?!?!? I have been to so many Hookah Lounges and this was the 1st we were ever charged for getting the coals changed. That is just atrocious. Came here on a Friday evening with a friend. We arrived about 7 to an empty place There was perhaps 4 other people there. They have a parking lot but I found parking on the street. Walked in and sat at friend's table since she was already there. We looked over the menu and saw there were no prices at all for any of the cocktails. So I automatically knew they would be expensive.. order the mojito.- 18 Chicken tacos-16, quesdilla - 12. Not much of a menu since they don't have much of a kitchen. Drinks were NY prices but in the middle of NJ. The mojito was good but too much ice for the price. This place is large and has great ambiance. THIS PLACE IS NOT IT!! My friend decided to celebrate her birthday here and it was not a good experience!! From the moment we got here, I noticed how odd this place is. They have security who checks you and your belongings... and my friend was not allowed inside with her EYE DROPS! Once we got in, we were seated... we were looking over the menu and BAM, they decided to move us. We went from being in a corner to being in the center and not fitting where they attempted the seat us-- we had reservations so they should have been prepared to comfortably seat a big party! Once we expressed that we were not feeling how small the area was, they opened up the space to combine two spaces. Second, when my friend called to verify the brunch reservation, everything seemed good. When we were there and asked about the brunch menu, they said they do not do brunch- they have small plates, with a VERY limited selection! While there, I went on their Instagram and on their story they were promoting "BRUNCH." I do not think they understand the concept of brunch. They could have just promoted "DAY PARTY" on their Instagram. Third, the waitress was the most lost I have ever encountered in a restaurant-- it was almost annoying! Her answers would be like, "it is not my fault" when asked about the service... like whether or not it is your fault is out the door- you represent this establishment so unfortunately you have to listen and take in what people say, and forward suggestions to your boss. When we asked for a manager, we were told that the manager stepped out, and we never heard back in reference to this... Fourth, when the food came out, it was a mess- literally! Not all the food came out together so some people started eating before the rest... They also dropped food while trying to put the plates on the VERY LOW TABLES!! The food was bland or not worth the wait. After this place, we went back to another restaurant where we actually ate heavy plates!! The place was so cool and the vibes were great. Michelle was our server and she was great and so attentive. The girls ordered some dishes and they said the wings and wrap were good. I went here last Friday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a last minute thing so I ended up coming through a little late, a bit after 11PM. Because of my late arrival I missed a couple rounds of shots. We were a small group, 4 of us including myself so I didn't think a round of shots would be that bad. I was wrong. My friends informed me not to waste my money because at the bar a 20% gratuity is automatically added (and a 3% credit card fee!) to any orders. I'm not sure what kind of shots they got but it turned out to be almost $100 per round (for 3 shots!). We were seated at a table so I think bottle service was mandatory(?). A bottle of Casamigos and 2 Hookahs came out to about $450 I believe. Oh yeah, that bill included a $5 bottle of Poland Spring and the 20% gratuity and 3% credit card fee. Service was ok, no complaints about it really. My friend completely forgot he ordered the Poland Spring so we didn't ask for it until we got the bill at the end of the night. It was paid for so we asked for it but of course it wasn't allowed to leave the premises...waste of $5. The way the place operates is just so weird to me. To get in I was patted down more thoroughly than if I was going through TSA. I guess that's good for safety but just an odd practice to me. I also had to have my picture taken to get in. I've been to many a club and I don't think I've ever had that happen. There was also 'Last Call' for the bathrooms which I had never heard of. The ambience is really nice and the DJ that was playing was pretty good. Taking prices out of the equation, this is a really cool spot. If it's not apparent by now, my biggest gripe with this place is the price. If you want city prices without having to cross the GWB then this spot is perfect. I reserved a table for 12 people and I was not notified until upon arrival that in order to seat in a certain section that holds my party size , we had to order bottle service .Okay cool it's for my birthday so we all agreed! The section package came with 5 appetizers 2 hookahs 2 premium liquors 2 champagne for $1200. ( sounded good) When I received the 5 appetizers they were small bites that would not feed 12 people! The appetizers were 3 piece chicken wings , 3 piece tacos, 3 piece empanada, 3 piece quesadilla and chips and guacamole. The portions were so tiny it would not be enough food for 12 people ! I received the bill and with tax and gratuity included , it came to over $1800. ( not worth it ) !! I kindly declined their services and appetizers and my party and I went to the other side of the restaurant and we all ordered and sat separately for the drinks and food !! Inside The restaurant is very festive and photo worthy . The entertainers and dj was good on that Friday. Thisnplace has potential to be great bit I'm current state not really hitting the mark. To start the ambience is amazing. There's cute ig worthy settings all around. The service was pretty decent too. The drinks are rather pricey for the area and what you get. They don't have the prices on the menu which I find odd so you have to ask for the price which is $18 per drink. I tried the mojito and the forget me not which has blue carucao..they both were delicious but it was mostly ice in the cup. They have a rather small menu as it appears they are more of a bar. This place is highly unprofessional. I came here with my friends and was greeted by rude staff. I did not even get a "hi welcome" before the security guard asked an older lady (unsure of her role) "What do you think about her shoes?" I did not know I signed up to be a part of a fashion show and to be judged by someone who could be my mother. They have a dress code I read on their website, and nowhere does it say you can't have Ugg boots. The older lady replied with " ayyy no" and made a face. Visited this place for the first time and never been more disappointed. We made a reservation for a group of friends and when we arrived the section was not ready. We were seated in these chairs while we waiting for people to leave. When making the reservation it was expressed it was an important occasion. After a whole hour of waiting we were finally moved but after that we all were fed up of waiting. The food was okay, but definitely overpriced. A fun place to go to with a group of friends. I went in the summer on a Sunday at 3pm and was definitely not expecting to be as fun as it did. The theme for when I went was "a circus theme". My friends and I ended up staying for 4 hours when I think the max was 2. We got one of the drink packages and it was definitely worth it because we all enjoyed ourselves. It was hard sometimes to get a hold of our waitress, but it was very busy so that didn't bother us too much. For food, we had empanadas which were really tasty. They have different options for packages as well, like brunch. It is mostly a Latin place and so the music caters to that. The DJ did not disappoint that night and neither did the performers they had. Reservations are definitely recommended because it did get really busy and crowded. We were seated right away and ordered chicken tacos, they were good but the guacamole wasn't, it tasted as if they forgot to add salt. The vibe is cool and the hookah is $40. The cocktails were pricey but tasty, and the DJ was playing good music. There were several waiters checking on us every 5 minutes to see if we wanted to order something else. Our waitress told us the weekend is hectic but during the week it is more relaxed. Full disclosure, this review is for a Monday at Vida Garden. From what I've heard from other people, and read from the reviews, the weekend experience is much different, so just keep that in mind! Anyway, I've been wanting to check this place out for a while because I've seen it all over social media for its great aesthetics in the outdoor seating area. It definitely did not disappoint in that aspect! My group of three was looking for something to do on Memorial Day and after seeing a post for drink and hookah specials at Vida, I decided it was finally time to check it out. When we got there around 7 the place was already pretty full, but not so packed that there was a wait to get in. We were seated right away and our drink and food orders were taken pretty quickly. I assumed Vida had a bigger food menu, but it was actually quite small. Probably the largest food menu item is the Vida wrap, which was delicious. My friend got a couple orders of empanadas which he also enjoyed, and my gf got the tacos. She originally wanted a Vida wrap, but unfortunately after waiting a while for it, we were told that the wraps were no longer available. Not a big deal, so she went for the tacos. Although, those took some time to come out too, and she was pretty hungry at that point. While the food is good, the options are mostly appetizers, and a little pricey. So I'd definitely recommend eating before coming here. We easily found parking on Palisade Ave, but we realized they also have some parking in the lot right outside the place. I imagine finding parking becomes a lot harder the later it gets though. For drinks, I started off with a smokey thyme paloma. By the end of the night I'd had a couple of these, the forget me not, and some mojitos. All three of us enjoyed all the drinks we got. The presentation, and taste of our drinks were all on point. My favorite was probably the forget me not, but it's definitely on the sweeter side. Most of the cocktails were $15 except for the mojitos which were $11 - $12.50 depending on flavor. For hookah, we started with the Cancun sunrise flavor. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor, but the hookah was good. It lasted a while and the head was packed well. It also took some time for the hookah to come out to us, but the refills did come out pretty quickly. We went with mint for flavor refills. We all really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. The music was good, the crowd was lively, everyone was having a good time there. We ended up talking a bit to a couple that got seated next to us, who offered us shots, and even the rest of their bottle when they were leaving! I wanted to say that our server, Joshua M really added to our experience there. It wasn't his fault that things took a while to get to us, and despite being busy, he kept checking on us and then bothering the kitchen, bar, or hookah guys to bring us out our stuff. At one point during the night I asked him if the place usually got as busy as it was that night, on weekdays, and he stopped and talked to us for a little bit. He said it did usually get that busy, and even more so on weekends. He even told us a little bit about himself, and we all appreciated the personal connection. He's a super friendly guy and we felt pretty lucky to have him as our server that night. His service added to the rating for sure! We definitely plan to come back here again! It is definitely gorgeous and is the perfect spot for an "aesthetically pleasing IG photo". Although outside is gorgeous it was VERY COLD & they don't have heat lamps! The place is heavily secured w/ armed guards which is comforting! I ordered shrimp tacos, one regular mint hookah, & a bottle of water it came out to $100! Very expensive. The shrimp tacos were basically fancy street tacos- were tasty but not worth the price. The hookah was average at best. The bottled water wasn't even alkaline it was Poland spring lol. My 3 star rating is solely bc of the attentiveness of staff and beauty of the place. Everything else was pretty much average,sadly. Although there are a great deal of negative reviews, my experience at Vida Garden was positive. Like most I'm sure, Vida's instagram page drew me to come and check out this establishment. We had just spent the day in NYC and wanted somewhere with good vides to grab a quick bite to eat/drink before heading back to PA. We got there not long after they opened, so there was no line, no cover charge, and we were seated pretty quickly. Everyone we encountered was pleasant. Our server Yailin was top tier. She was nice, extremely attentive, helpful, and gorgeous. She made recommendations on food & drinks. She checked on us very often. She made small talk to get to know us better. She took as many pictures of us as we wanted. Not to mention, once she found out we were celebrating my little sisters 25th bday, she made her feel extra special by bringing her dessert with a super dope presentation. Listen, it's really cute online but they played in our faces. First, we made a reservation for 11:45pm; we were on time but at 12:00am we were told we had to wait 30 mins for a table. And in order to have a table we had to do a bottle package. CRAZY! My girls and I paid $519 dollars. Which included a $80 gratuity. For us to only see a server the first 30 mins of our experience. Why? where's the consistency in customer service? We paid before we ate and that was it in regards to service. The food was disappointing! Online the plates are beautiful. The place itself and the service was nice but $40 for hookah??? I could go buy my own hookah and set it up myself for less! I never paid more than $25 for basic hookah anywhere, even the waitress laughed when we were shocked at the price bc she knew! And guacamole was $14... it was good but not $14 good. The Rosa margarita was really tasty and I think it was about $12. At least there's no cover because their pricing is a mess honestly. Overall, this place has great picture opportunities and the garden atmosphere is great for sure. Always love live music and bottle service for birthdays. But you have to wait in such a long line to even get in! We got there at 7:30 and didn't get in till after 9. And the place has no phone number to even inquire about wait times, prices or anything , it's all through their ig. They have their dress code on there too so definitely check that before going because they turned some people away. The outdoor seating was beautiful! I went with a group of 4 and we sat in a cute high top table. It was Labor Day and I thought it would be packed, but it wasn't which worked out. We all ordered passion fruit mojitos, which was one of the few cocktails on the menu. The menu overall was very small and it included small bites. We ordered the ceviche, green chicken wrap, empanadas (chicken &beef), chips and guac, and fish tacos. Overall the food was a 6.5/10. It was missing some flavor and spices. The guac did not have lime, onions, or tomatoes. The empanadas and ceviche were very tasty! We also ordered rose margarita which was very good as well. The ambiance was great and a vibe.
