This spot is fantastic! I really love the food, especially since they offer gluten-free options. The servers are friendly and quick, which adds to the great experience. Plus, they have a lovely backyard that's perfect for dining outdoors. I had a great time watching the World Cup final there. I highly recommend it! read more

Came here on a Tuesday night, and it was pretty busy. Was in the mood for Mediterranean and found this place via Yelp and Google. Once you walk up the stairs and enter, the host sits you down. The outdoor dining which was covered, was dim but not too dark. Started off with the hummus ($11) which was really solid and they give fresh and warm pita along with seasoned olive oil dip. For my main, I got the chicken shish ($25) that was served with rice, salad and white sauce. The chicken was tender and well marinated and they give a good amount. I had to request the tzatziki sauce which was really good. My friend got the Shashlik ($32) which was the grilled steak and that was good as well. If you order drinks or bring your own alcoholic beverage, they give you nice table service with bucket of ice and cups. If you're in the mood for Mediterranean food or just want to lounge with good food with hookah, I highly recommend this spot. * BYOB * Parking on premise * tzatziki sauce upon request * Covered outdoor dining read more

I live around this area so Lulu is definitely my go to place if I'm craving Turkish food. Im not a hookah enthusiast but I know the place is very popular on that. I guess they must be good. Indoor/outdoor sitting area. Is a BYOB type of restaurant which is great to be able to pair your favorite drinks with their delicious food. Now, let's talk food! My favorites are: Borek pastry roll stuffed with feta & spinach perfectly crisp on the outside, Hummus and Tzatziki dips both incredibly rich and tasty Greek Salad: Olives, onion, tomatoes, feta, capers, always super fresh Mix Grill: Chicken, Adana, lamb meatballs serve with rice. The meat very tender and juicy. Chicken Casserole: MY ULTIMATE FAV! Tender pieces of chicken with peppers, onions and cheese serve with basmati rice. NOTE: This dish was remove from the menu BUT if you ask for it they would make it for you. They also have free parking. read more

Before i continue, note that this place is BYOB and you can bring your own drinks of choice! Came here for a valentines day and the place was surprisingly empty. There are two seating areas , one being fancy - low lit - and quiet. While the outside is bright and loud music so pick your vibe! They had a special menu for Vday but still offered items off the regular menu which I appreciated. The food was great and did not feel rushed. Yes this spot is a bit expensive but not the worst considering its byob! Do recommend for either a date night or big group get together for hookah! read more

We were craving Lebanese food in the area and decided to try this spot. Outside was full of hookah diners so we opted for indoors which was nice and quaint. The appetizers started off strong w delicious muhammara and hummus accompanied w thick pita. The entrees were a miss though sadly. The manti had no meat in the dumplings and the mixed grilled platter wasn't fully cooked so we sent it back to char more. Overall good service but wouldn't come back. read more

Food was absolutely disgusting If you're a person of color and sitting solo, they'll ignore you. The salmon was poor quality and felt tough. There was a squishy black line running through the middle and the rest of it was tough More like the low quality salmon steaks Sat 20 mins without any service I had to get up to pay. Ordered: Mint Lemonade (~$9) Boss Hookah with Quasar Head (~$40): peach, mango, lemon, with mint Shepherd Salad (~$17) + feta ($4): cucumber, red onion, green pepper, mint, parsley, tomatoes, lemon with EVOO Hummus (~$11) Borek (~$12): 4pc pastry roll stuffed with feta & spinach Truffle Fries (~$12) Calamari (~$19) Mix Grill (~$46): chicken kebab, adana kebab, lamb shish meatballs served with rice, grilled tomato, and onions Aya's take: I've had Lulu Mediterranean on my list for a while and finally got to go for a girl's night out! We started off with the Mint Lemonade & Boss Hookah. The hookah was super smooth and crisp with the Quasar Head. I've never seen that offered at a hookah lounge so it was nice to try it out. All the food here was actually delicious. Even their complimentary pita bread and zaa'tar olive oil dip was incredible! I loved the freshness of the Shepherd Salad and the airiness and flakiness of the Borek. All the meats in the Mix Grill were well-seasoned, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Their Truffle Fries are highly addictive although I didn't really get any truffle essence. I highly recommend checking out Lulu if you're in the area. They do have free parking but the lot fills up quick during busy times. read more

The food here is wonderful, and the service staff is excellent; time spent here is truly enjoyable, and the experience is well worth the cost. Mr. Mert and Mr. Karahan are meticulous in this regard--a quality that demonstrates their respect for the hard work of every waiter. Even when the venue is filled to capacity, the service remains impeccable and the food is outstanding; I would like to extend my thanks to the chef. The Shashlik Kebab is particularly delicious. Kudos to everyone involved for their efforts; I also wish to thank the management team. Anyone who looks after this establishment is bound to accumulate a great deal of wealth. read more

Wow. A hidden gem. Highly recommend My date loved it too. And she told the chef that she could have a whole other dish too!

Good food and a cool second floor restaurant with a huge deck that's tucked away. Very unique and authentic.

This is a HOT spot, literally on fire... maybe I shouldn't say that since this place burnt down and then re-established... BUT, this is 5 star worthy! Atmosphere, food, hookah, and best part is BYOB. With indoor and outdoor seating what more can you ask for. It's chill atmosphere gives you that relaxed feeling. Add some booze and you turned it up. Get the hookah and you have best of both worlds. What truly amazed me was the beef kebab dish... SOOOO tasty! Being Middle Eastern I know ALL about kebabs and this one TRULY lives up against all of them. Only gripe is I want MORE! If you know kebabs then you know when you get a good one and when you get a good one then you know you want more of it... no pun intended, but yeah- a good kebab is hard to come by! LoL FYI: They have a parking lot, but this is a hot spot so it will get packed. read more

Turkish restaurant at Edgewater, NJ Had early Saturday dinner. Brought sparkling rose which went well with our dinner. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious! Sheperd salad was refreshing, babaganoush tasted great with pita bread, grilled octopus was very tender with crispy and tangy brocolli and carrot, liver was perfectly cooked and seasoned with sauteed red onions and the lamb shish was soft and tender with rice and salad. Finished off the meal with turkish tea and baklava. Enjoyed the dinner very much. read more

Had the pleasure of celebrating my 41st here, and I am SO GLAD that I did. Management and staff were very accomodating with respect to the party decor, cake, even the glasses to be set for the liquor. Every aspect was given the utmost detail and thought, and I couldnt be more appreciative. They definitely passed the vibe check! 4 different birthdays (including a staff member) were celebrated that night, and each one was made special seperately by the live entertainment, as well as each staff member. I couldn't complete this review without giving a proper shoutout to the kitchen staff and the Chefs. What a phenomenal array of cold appetizers! My party of 20 consisented of people from all different areas of the world, and they all could not stop raving about how delicious everything was. There was alot of love added to each dish, and taste buds dont lie! From the starters, to the main course, and everything in between.... Undeniable 10 out of 10. I wish I had taken more pictures of the food! I want to individually thank every member of the LULU LOUNGE family for contributing to last nights magic. 41 was definitely one for the books... and I have the manager Ozgur, and his entire staff to thank for that. Words cannot express my gratitude. if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Keep up the good work! And To all who have never been, you are missing out! read more

Stopped by on a Monday night , we sat in their enclosed area as we opted in for having some hookah. The hookah was very smooth, they offer various hookah options . For starters we had the tzatziki & avocado dip, it was delicious and served with warm pita . In addition we had the shrimp casserole which was so so so good!! After we had some tea and a cappuccino. The staff was very attentive and made sure to check in on us and also clean up after every meal . This is a BYOB spot, which is a nice little touch . My only complaint was how cold it felt , the heat was not sufficient for the space we were in , I'd say wear a thick coat or check it out on a warmer day/night. read more

We ordered the babaganoush, lebne, lamb shish and the chicken shish. Their dips are always v good and the pita bread was warm. The lamb shish was the star of the night. My family is not a big fan of lamb but this lamb was very well cooked, well seasoned and no gamey smell to it. I took off two stars because 1. they no longer serve tap water (you have to order bottled water) and 2. they charge an 18% gratuity without telling you. They do have the 18% gratuity charge written on the menu but it's very small so I feel like they should tell you when you're signing the check because I'm sure most people are not trying to give ~40% tip. I understand it's the customer's job to look at the receipt so I'm glad I paid attention this time! read more

Saw the decent early reviews of this place so decided to try it out. This place is hidden behind a hodgepodge of small businesses and would be completely out of sight if not for the sign that points to the shared parking lot. Essentially the outdoor dining area is adjacent to a cliff with some shrubbery - which makes it a somewhat dark area. However, it's nice to see some greenery in the area regardless. The staff was friendly and pretty attentive. They were pretty chill about seat selection, which by the way was partitioned by some plexiglass panels to help with the whole social distancing thing. One major issue though was the fact that the waitstaff was not consistent in keeping their masks on. On numerous occasions I saw people walking around attending to customers without masks properly fitted and times when they were not wearing masks at all. This is a major problem at a time when people are sensitive about COVID and rather ironic considering they have plexiglass partitions but no consistent mask policy which should be SOP now. The food was disappointing. The pickle appetizers were meh and felt like it came out of a can. Ordered the shrimp garlic appetizer and the $15 price tag most certainly did not align with the food that was delivered. The shrimps themselves were tiny and surprisingly bland. This was notably apparent when you dip their good bread into the sauce. Also ordered the lamb skewers and they were also bland. The meat was tender but considering they served this with an absence of sauce, I was expecting a more flavorful experience. The portion was mediocre, flavor was lacking and also did not align with the high price tag. Oddly, the menu indicated this was accompanied by an arugula salad but what I got (as seen in the photo) was a cheaper spring mix of sorts (with no dressing that was detectable). Definitely didn't help with the consternation regarding the price to value ratio here. Several people who were dining around me clearly came for the hookah. I did not indulge in that during this visit but it appears this would be the primary draw since the food value/taste issue and the somewhat concerning and inconsistent waitstaff mask policy is definitely not a great experience. Given what I've seen other restaurants do during the pandemic era to provide a good experience for customers in the Edgewater/Fort Lee area, I wasn't particularly fond of my experience here relative to other places I've hit up in the past few months. If they improve their mask policy and do more to improve the food then all this might help justify the high prices they charge here. Otherwise, I would recommend people skip this place in favor of far better value and overall experiences in the area. (Oh and check your bill always, b/c the tip is included in the total) read more

This place is super hidden! But, my boyfriend and I were so glad we discovered it. We decided to check this place out in the middle of the week for lunch and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. Although it was extremely hot, we opted for a table outside because we couldn't resist how cute it was and the nice views! First, they brought pita to the table which was so delicious. There's outdoor and indoor seating which is perfect for whatever you're looking for. We sat outside and were comfortable. For food I got the mozz sticks w/ fries, which you can't go wrong with. Went to Lulu Lounge on a whim since it had pretty decent reviews. First the place is in the cut so it's a great place for Secret lovers. I drove around twice looking for it, all to figure out it was in the back of a building with a car wash. The place was super cute. They had an outdoor patio with some seating and then an indoor/outdoor area with a retractable roof and windows that came down. The place faces the rocks and trees of the cliff and they have lighting to accent the area. It has the potential to be intimate if it's not crowded. It's byob which is always a plus and there's also hookah. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I had a Shepard's salad with chicken. I could have used a few more pieces of chicken but over all the salad was a good portion and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My friend had the lamb platter. The lamb was very flavorful and tender and the rice was perfect. We also started with some Hummus which was made very well. I had the lentil soup which was too watery for my taste. For you non Mediterranean eating folks they had some wings and fries on the menu. I saw them pass by a few times and they looked bomb. I did not give the place 5 stars because of the covid situation. I was seated on the outdoor patio and thank god I was because they closed the roof and windows to the other patio area and it was waaayyy too many people in there. The later it got, the more people that came, and they tried to squeeze people every where. There definitely were no tables 6 ft apart. They even added tables to accommodate more people Coming in making it a tighter space. They had plexi dividers in some areas and not in others. The staff had masks and the hookah tubes were newly wrapped however a guy was there who seemed to be the manager and he didn't have a mask on and was talking to tables. Overall the place is a dope spot to eat. My advice is if you're worried about the virus go before 8pm because it started to get crowded after that and there was no social distancing. read more

I have seen this place pop up on my maps for quite some time and we finally decided to give it a try. Anyone that mows me or follows me knows that I LOVE Mediterranean food. This place is located kind of off the beaten path in Edgewater. When you pull up, there is a big parking lot with attached to business buildings. At the end of the parking lot is a sign that says Lulus. It might be hard to miss at first but once you go up the stairs or ramp, you are met with multilevel chic outdoor seating. We decided to eat outside since the weather was nice and the patio was covered. Such chill vibes and they have hookah for sale if that is something you are in to. However, they do not sell alcohol but it is BYOB (which we didn't know). Nonetheless, we ordered their Shepard Salad, borek and their hummus with beef pastrami. Omg, everything was delicious and instead of my typical cocktail, I ordered their Mint lemonade which was also delicious. My boyfriend suggested I bring some of my friends here but honestly, I want to keep this place all to myself!! read more

Very cute and quaint spot during the day. It was a bit hard to find since the set up is odd- it shares a lot with a car wash and was up towards some stairs. They offer hookah which brings in a lot of different crowds- the food is wonderful. I wish I would've taken a picture of the salad that had feta, tomato, olives etc. and the mint lemonade (I came home and tried to recreate it, it was THAT good.) the service was nice- it was a young man who wasn't native to the language but somehow understood or called over the manager to figure out what we wanted. So polite and kind. We sat in the outside patio but they do have an indoor section, as well. read more

This review is for the ENGLEWOOD location but I can't seem to find their Yelp page. My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised especially for how late at night it was when I came. I do love when I can expect quality food and service despite it being after hours. I came with my friends and we each brought our own wine. All of the servers were attentive helping each other out, bringing us ice buckets and glasses. The energy was great here, middle eastern music blasting, dancing, singing and hookahs flowing. We enjoyed the "LOVE" flavor hookah. My friends ordered a chicken wrap and chicken wings. I only tried the wings which were okay but I must admit the portion seems small, the wing itself were also actually small and the fries looked like a mountain under them. I ordered hummus which was silky smooth and delicious. I also got the Adana wrap? I could be getting the name wrong but it was a ground lamb wrap and the flavor was amazing. I hadn't had something like that before and I'll definitely be having it again. Fries were crispy and abundant as well. Overall I had a great time, everyone was served until the very last minute 2am!
