Came here on a Tuesday night, and it was pretty busy. Was in the mood for Mediterranean and found this place via Yelp and Google. Once you walk up the stairs and enter, the host sits you down. The outdoor dining which was covered, was dim but not too dark. Started off with the hummus ($11) which was really solid and they give fresh and warm pita along with seasoned olive oil dip. For my main, I got the chicken shish ($25) that was served with rice, salad and white sauce. The chicken was tender and well marinated and they give a good amount. I had to request the tzatziki sauce which was really good. My friend got the Shashlik ($32) which was the grilled steak and that was good as well. If you order drinks or bring your own alcoholic beverage, they give you nice table service with bucket of ice and cups. I live around this area so Lulu is definitely my go to place if I'm craving Turkish food. Im not a hookah enthusiast but I know the place is very popular on that. I guess they must be good. We were craving Lebanese food in the area and decided to try this spot. Outside was full of hookah diners so we opted for indoors which was nice and quaint. The appetizers started off strong w delicious muhammara and hummus accompanied w thick pita. The entrees were a miss though sadly. With indoor and outdoor seating what more can you ask for. It's chill atmosphere gives you that relaxed feeling. Add some booze and you turned it up. Get the hookah and you have best of both worlds. What truly amazed me was the beef kebab dish... SOOOO tasty! Being Middle Eastern I know ALL about kebabs and this one TRULY lives up against all of them. Only gripe is I want MORE! Had the pleasure of celebrating my 41st here, and I am SO GLAD that I did. Management and staff were very accomodating with respect to the party decor, cake, even the glasses to be set for the liquor. Every aspect was given the utmost detail and thought, and I couldnt be more appreciative. They definitely passed the vibe check! 4 different birthdays (including a staff member) were celebrated that night, and each one was made special seperately by the live entertainment, as well as each staff member. I couldn't complete this review without giving a proper shoutout to the kitchen staff and the Chefs. What a phenomenal array of cold appetizers! My party of 20 consisented of people from all different areas of the world, and they all could not stop raving about how delicious everything was. There was alot of love added to each dish, and taste buds dont lie! From the starters, to the main course, and everything in between.... Undeniable 10 out of 10. I wish I had taken more pictures of the food! Stopped by on a Monday night , we sat in their enclosed area as we opted in for having some hookah. The hookah was very smooth, they offer various hookah options . For starters we had the tzatziki & avocado dip, it was delicious and served with warm pita . In addition we had the shrimp casserole which was so so so good!! After we had some tea and a cappuccino. The staff was very attentive and made sure to check in on us and also clean up after every meal . This is a BYOB spot, which is a nice little touch . We ordered the babaganoush, lebne, lamb shish and the chicken shish. Their dips are always v good and the pita bread was warm. The lamb shish was the star of the night. My family is not a big fan of lamb but this lamb was very well cooked, well seasoned and no gamey smell to it. I took off two stars because 1. they no longer serve tap water (you have to order bottled water) and 2. they charge an 18% gratuity without telling you. They do have the 18% gratuity charge written on the menu but it's very small so I feel like they should tell you when you're signing the check because I'm sure most people are not trying to give ~40% tip. We decided to check this place out in the middle of the week for lunch and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. Saw the decent early reviews of this place so decided to try it out. This place is hidden behind a hodgepodge of small businesses and would be completely out of sight if not for the sign that points to the shared parking lot. Essentially the outdoor dining area is adjacent to a cliff with some shrubbery - which makes it a somewhat dark area. However, it's nice to see some greenery in the area regardless. The staff was friendly and pretty attentive. They were pretty chill about seat selection, which by the way was partitioned by some plexiglass panels to help with the whole social distancing thing. One major issue though was the fact that the waitstaff was not consistent in keeping their masks on. On numerous occasions I saw people walking around attending to customers without masks properly fitted and times when they were not wearing masks at all. This is a major problem at a time when people are sensitive about COVID and rather ironic considering they have plexiglass partitions but no consistent mask policy which should be SOP now. The food was disappointing. The pickle appetizers were meh and felt like it came out of a can. Ordered the shrimp garlic appetizer and the $15 price tag most certainly did not align with the food that was delivered. The shrimps themselves were tiny and surprisingly bland. This was notably apparent when you dip their good bread into the sauce. Also ordered the lamb skewers and they were also bland. The meat was tender but considering they served this with an absence of sauce, I was expecting a more flavorful experience. The portion was mediocre, flavor was lacking and also did not align with the high price tag. Oddly, the menu indicated this was accompanied by an arugula salad but what I got (as seen in the photo) was a cheaper spring mix of sorts (with no dressing that was detectable). Definitely didn't help with the consternation regarding the price to value ratio here. Several people who were dining around me clearly came for the hookah. I did not indulge in that during this visit but it appears this would be the primary draw since the food value/taste issue and the somewhat concerning and inconsistent waitstaff mask policy is definitely not a great experience. Given what I've seen other restaurants do during the pandemic era to provide a good experience for customers in the Edgewater/Fort Lee area, I wasn't particularly fond of my experience here relative to other places I've hit up in the past few months. If they improve their mask policy and do more to improve the food then all this might help justify the high prices they charge here. Otherwise, I would recommend people skip this place in favor of far better value and overall experiences in the area. (Oh and check your bill always, b/c the tip is included in the total) read more

There's outdoor and indoor seating which is perfect for whatever you're looking for. We sat outside and were comfortable. For food I got the mozz sticks w/ fries, which you can't go wrong with. My friend the chicken penne and he really enjoyed it We also split some tea which was a nice treat. They have a bunch of different hookah options to choose from. This review is for the ENGLEWOOD location but I can't seem to find their Yelp page. My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised especially for how late at night it was when I came. I do love when I can expect quality food and service despite it being after hours. I came with my friends and we each brought our own wine. This is sad as I have become a regular here most recently going last week for the fourth time, so I am starting to be a regular and the place. Overall it's not bad and hookah is offered by a very expensive price of an astounding, $32, which I think is a complete rip-off as many places do it for approximately $10. I came in a couple of months ago at approximately midnight and this is one of the only places are open late in Edgewater New Jersey, and as I mentioned the ambience is nice, the service is decent and the prices on the appetisers are decent depending on what you get however it takes about 2 to 3 hours to finish a hookah and they even refill the fire cubes for you, but they were insisting that I leave when they closed and after being charged $32 for something that I was not nearly finished with, I couldn't believe how rude one of the servers were actually demanding that I leave even before we paid and getting other servers back up to try to get rid of us. Another thing I could point out, is please avoid the octopus, for 20 something dollars not only is that a bit expensive, but you don't even get more than one leg which I was completely shocked and I find this to be an insult. But the other thing that happened that night was I ordered chicken wings which I love, I would consider myself a chicken wing buff and I was shocked at the disgusting, horrendous dreadful quality that they brought out as shown in the pictures. This is nothing more than disgusting low-grade. Heavily breaded restaurant, depo quality wings at night nearly white wine can get at a simple dive bar. People who go out for wings definitely know what I am talking about. I understand that this is a Mediterranean restaurant, but if you're going to do something do it right, the server actually brought the chef out to argue with me the same night that the hookah incident happened. I couldn't believe that the chef called himself a chef and was not ashamed by these disgusting wings that were obviously out of a frozen bag which I understand as a former restaurant manager. Most wings are, but these were horrendous as you can see in the picture, a couple of them gigantic and a couple of them small, and they offered to bring me a few more wings which they did buy at approximately $20 for the plate with a bunch of French fries thrown on the side which I don't even eat it was completely disgusting. Very cute and quaint spot during the day. It was a bit hard to find since the set up is odd- it shares a lot with a car wash and was up towards some stairs. They offer hookah which brings in a lot of different crowds- the food is wonderful. I wish I would've taken a picture of the salad that had feta, tomato, olives etc. and the mint lemonade (I came home and tried to recreate it, it was THAT good.) the service was nice- it was a young man who wasn't native to the language but somehow understood or called over the manager to figure out what we wanted. Went to Lulu Lounge on a whim since it had pretty decent reviews. First the place is in the cut so it's a great place for Secret lovers. I drove around twice looking for it, all to figure out it was in the back of a building with a car wash. The place was super cute. I could have used a few more pieces of chicken but over all the salad was a good portion and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My friend had the lamb platter. The lamb was very flavorful and tender and the rice was perfect. We also started with some Hummus which was made very well. I had the lentil soup which was too watery for my taste. For you non Mediterranean eating folks they had some wings and fries on the menu. I saw them pass by a few times and they looked bomb. I did not give the place 5 stars because of the covid situation. I was seated on the outdoor patio and thank god I was because they closed the roof and windows to the other patio area and it was waaayyy too many people in there. The later it got, the more people that came, and they tried to squeeze people every where. There definitely were no tables 6 ft apart. They even added tables to accommodate more people Coming in making it a tighter space. They had plexi dividers in some areas and not in others. This was definitely a nice date not spot and a place that is good for groups. They have a really nice size hookah. The quality of the hookah was nice too. I love that they have a parking lot which is a nice treat in this area. The calamari is pretty great with the white sauce. The salmon was prepared well the veggies had some oil but seasoned well. The shrimp entree I recommend for sure. It was well seasoned alone with the veggies and salads. I would come back here with a group of friends as well. The windows on the patio were open, the fan was running and the atmosphere was GORGEOUS. We loved all the food we ordered.
