I came by CAVA - Edgewater for my post-workout meal. I used to go to the Paramus location, PERO... their service is basura, so I decided to go to this location instead. It opened a little over a year ago, so the interior is still new and shiny. There's plenty of available parking since it's in a large shopping outlet. I came past 9pm on Black Friday and I was worried that they would be out of a lot of items. I was pleasantly surprised because I was the only one in store and they were fully stocked! I opted for the Build-Your-Own Bowl option (~$12). My usual order is: brown rice, chicken, eggplant dip, tzatziki, crazy feta dip, corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled onions, feta cheese, pita crisps, olives, and Greek vinaigrette. The chicken was seasoned well and all of the ingredients tasted fresh. I go CRAZY for CAVA dips lol. The employee that made my bowl was very friendly as well. I wish the Paramus location could step up their game since they're much closer to me. I'll stick to coming to Edgewater from now on.

10 for 10 - staff was amazing ! Line moved quickly but not rushing customers. Answered all questions and offered option if confused. Fresh full bowls. Manager even helping during a busy spout, not just sitting in the back. Had to ask for their names. Friendly-helpful-knowledgeable!! Shout out to Melissa and Yourois, great customer service!

Food first of all was so good, I always customize my bowl with my mom and the options that they have are always fresh and taste good. The service is always good making sure that we have an amazing experience. The interior is nice and clean. Overall amazing, will come back again.

    Well staffed for grand opening

On Saturday, I had to e pleasure of visiting Cava for the grand opening of its Edgewater location. This location is in the same plaza as the Target and Acme. They rang in the event with a Community Day. In addition to celebrating the opening of the restaurant, Cava also used this as a philanthropic opportunity. They were accepting and matching credit card donations up to $1000, with proceeds going to their local community partner Table to Table, New Jersey's first food rescue organization. At Saturday's event, we were able to sign up for a 15 minute pick up slot to pick up a free meal and drink. When we arrived there were employees by the door who greeted us and ushered us in. Surprisingly, there was no wait. They were very well staffed - at least 8 people were behind the counter. We got right on line and ordered our meals. We had the choice between a bowl and pita. I ordered a bowl with rice, honey chicken and cucumber tomato salad . You also get the Choice of a sauce, so I got tzatziki. I really liked the variety of options. The food seemed healthy but also flavorful. The chicken was spicier than I expected but still tasty. Overall, this was a pleasant experience and I'm grateful I was able to come in and try them out. Thank you for hosting this free event!

Cava just opened in Edgewater. We went to try it. The place was clean with plenty of seating room. The food was flavorful and ingredients fresh. Service was great - the people we met made an effort to answer questions and be of service. I would recommend trying the drinks - got a cucumber lemonade. It was very good. All the drinks were good. It was nice to be able to make my own bowl. I added rice, a protein and veggies. Was nice to have a tasty, well balanced meal without having to cook it. Cava has a 'fast food' feel to it but a nice option for a good, quick meal.

This is a casual option for dine in or take out. It is a make your own style restaurant- you choose a base, then protein, mix-ins, toppings, etc. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. I have done both dine-in and take out through Uber eats. My personal favorite is the chicken bowl. Their pickles and olives are especially tasty. Overall, you can't go wrong if you're looking for a quick, easy, inexpensive, and filling meal option.

After a rather…read moredisappointing recent experience at a poke shop in Fort Lee, I decided to give them a try and I was happy that I did! First, the name - I was wondering if this was a chain since I know one in Fort Lee, and a new one sprang up on 9W/Sylvan Ave. in Englewood Cliffs... and the lady told me they're all independently owned under same "theme/name." Ok, now that we got that out of the way... (asked nobody ever but still) THEY ARE BACK after closing for a month due to Coronavirus, now for a week. The owner lady told me people still think they're closed, so I wanna get the word out there to come SUPPORT your local business! PLACE - Bright and meticulously clean with well laid out menu items. Poke isn't on their circulated menu so took a picture with updated pricing. FOOD - I ordered Tuna poke and Spicy Salmon poke ($14 ea.) and I was not disappointed. There was a sushi chef on premise working with chunks of sashimi fish preparing orders. When I got home to eat, I noticed the fish was really fresh, with sensible usual poke toppings, and I love the fact that they actually use fresh chunks of salmon for their "Spicy Salmon" unlike many joints that cut corner by using the mashed up stuff with less fresh fish and fillers. They also veered towards light in terms of sriracha mayo and shoyu which preserved the taste just right, and I poured a bit of ponzu to suit my own taste. Portion was generous and came with a bowl of hot miso soup which was just perfect. Only minor feedback would be that rice was a bit blocky-cooler than I'd have liked so took wee bit more effort to eat together with the toppings... but not a big deal. With recent rise in delivery apps you might be tempted to (not even sure if they participate), but you know how they kill the restaurant's margin... So get off your butt and just go pick it up yourself... you need fresh air / groceries anyway right? :) Thank you for a delicious dinner and we'll be back.

We had high expectations but when the salad and the half of a deviled egg arrived I was honestly surprised. The presentation felt cheap and the portion was super small. The salad barely had any dressing. The main dish I got was lobster - good flavor but overcooked and rubbery. Tiny portion that left me wanting more food. Hubby had the steak, they did not give option how you would like it and it arrived medium/well done. The portions were so tiny I was still hungry, for the price I honestly wish we went to omakase instead. Oh. And they automatically add 25% service. Owner is very friendly and service was polite but for the price it felt like we got robbed. Not sure we'll be back, really wanted to like it but the only memorable thing was the music and ambience. I felt compelled to review because I really wanted the owners to see this and make changes. The potential is there but with many restaurants around, there simply wasn't anything special. Pls be transparent to your guests and include info about prix fixe menu on reservation next time, and perhaps give your guests more value for the money. $150 should at least be 4-5 course for the size that was provided.. I'm so sad that we didn't like it bc we live so close :(

The Food: * Starters: The hummus and muhammara with pita were great. The waiter suggested lamb, but I went with the salmon and it was the best decision. The citrus sauce on top was divine! Wish it came with rice instead of just veggies (though the veggies were tasty). The Service: The staff was friendly and service was good, but a heavy language barrier made it hard to understand the waiter, so he wasn't very helpful with menu questions. Service has always been friendly and attentive, no complaints there! I tried the Dubai chocolate, which was really good, but the shakes (cookies & cream and s'mores) weren't my favorite. I had the cookies and cream shake twice and the smores once. My gf's sister had the chocolate shake. The wings were also delicious and not too salty (6 wings for $8) The atmosphere was really nice and cozy, and you can always get up for dessert if you still have room. The thing is the desserts are crazy expensive. Don't get me wrong it's delicious, but paying more for a dessert than you do for actual meat (eg. burger) is crazy.
