Love this place ! Always have a good time when visiting. As you know I get straight to the point ! Here is my review :) Pros: the service is great ! The food is pretty decent ! Can't complain . The atmosphere is chill , a very mature group of people and the bar is nice and spacious. The hookah is excellent! Food: 8/10 Cons: none Price: a bit expensive! So bring at least $500 depending on what you are looking for , if it's a date you will spend over $200 Bill: $430

My husband and I came here for a date night on a Saturday night. It was definitely packed but not overwhelming at all. The decor was super cute and had very dim lighting which was great for the whole ambiance of date night. The hostesses greeted us nicely and we were seated quickly. We ended up getting lots of drinks as well as the burger, personal pie, spinach artichoke dip and calamari to share. Everything had good flavor and the drinks were phenomenal. Strong but super tasty. We ordered one specialty hookah for my husband and I to share which was pretty pricey but lasted us a really long time. When it was time to pay my husband quickly gave his card and we were on our way. When we got into the car we noticed that we were charged twice for our hookah. Over $100 just hookah! We were really upset about it, especially after we had such a great night but we decided we would just call the next day and try to get it resolved. The next day my husband spoke to the manager and was able to get everything resolved super quickly! We were so happy. We will definitely be returning but we won't forget to check that bill!

Our server, Ozge was delightful. She offered a few yummy suggestions they we took her up on. She made great conversation and made dinner very enjoyable. Haven't been here in some time. I was craving the lamb burger so I had to come back! Glad that I did

To start, the service here is awesome. The Host was friendly and welcoming. Emmanuel, our server was no doubt conversational, attentive, and really made our time there feel un-rushed. We had went for some beers, hookah and some appetizers. The beer was always cold no matter which beer we chose and always had a nice head on it. The staff kept on-top of the hookah, replacing the charcoal often to keep it pulling great. Now the SOLE reason I chose to remove 1 star was the comparison between the food quality and the price. The food was good, Buffalo wings were good, coconut shrimp could have had a bit more flavor, but It was a bit pricey to add to all of that. All in all, I'd definitely return.

Located in Edgewater, this place is located in a huge mall and there's an abundance of parking space available which is a big plus! The restaurant is pretty high scale and the ambience is happening inside, the crowd seems to be pretty upscale over here! The service was pretty quick also the server was polite. The food could be improved upon as personally it didn't feel much out of the world kinda stuff for such kind of place. We had ordered Mediterranean pizza, garlic bread and calamari! The pizza was good due to the toppings but the dough felt too bready whereas the garlic bread was crispy enough. I liked the calamari though, it was fried to perfection and oil was drained out well.. wish they provided a bit more of sauce on the side given the quantity of calamari! Overall a nice place to chill out but felt like a one time visit!

So one of my girlfriends wanted to go to this spot for hookah, drinks and food for her birthday so we came. This spot was first come first serve with no reservations needed. When we arrived we parked in the plaza parking lot. We walked in and was sat by the hostess. We were served by Louis and he was so thorough and good. He was on point with everything and very attentive. When we were ready to order drinks I noticed the drinks were so over priced which was a turn off. I ended up getting a patron margarita. And the girls got different drinks. The girls also ordered a hookah to smoke before we got our entrées. For an entrée we all got the lamb with sides of our choice which they charge for each side if you get a small plate like lamb. The lamb and mash potatoes was pretty good. And the girls liked their dish as well. When the bill came it was pretty high and we realized the hookah was $45 which they didn't know and gratuity was included automatically. The place is super pricey for a sports bar/lounge. The experience was just ok.

I've been here several times over the years and enjoyed each time. This review will only discuss my most recent visit during Covid. Came here with my best friend for dinner, drinks and hookah. We ordered wings, Caesar salad, chicken quesadilla, and a side of fries to eat and split everything. The prices were reasonable and we liked everything! We also ordered margaritas and after a bottle of white wine. We also ordered a hookah. Unfortunately, with Covid we had to leave a little before 10 pm before we finished our hookah and bottle. However, the server was very friendly and helpful, I think his name was Moses? And he wrapped our bottle for us and gave us the hookah with a new charcoal pack for us to take home. What? Lol yes you read that right! Rest assured we were pleasantly surprised to say the least! The music here is always good and it's a great place to go and hangout with friends or on a date if you want somewhere that isn't so quiet. The staff is always so helpful here too. The only con was the fact that we were seated by the back door and the individuals seated to our right kept opening the back door to smoke their cigarettes which allowed the cold air to enter. Luckily our server told them they could not use that back door. Go server! If you are looking for a cute spot with a good vibe, go to Spirit Lounge!

Googled this hookah lounge for my bf birthday . I enjoyed the hookah and the drinks . This Thursday night there was a live Dj and RnB night . This lounge is high class and pricey, but it's a nice experience . There is a Parking lot for parking

COVID REVIEW: I'll give it to Spirit Lounge, they're trying. Get this, their hookahs are DISPOSABLE! Mind blown, I know. You can take it home as a souvenir. Food is as expected, nothing spectacular but fine if you need to nosh on something. Drinks are good, wait staff is friendly. What's weird is that they have an hour and a half time limit on tables and they aren't playing games. I guess they want as much business as possible during these tough times so it makes turning tables easier.

This place is pricey but the vibe and food make it worth it. They even have hookah but they do charge $20 for a refill so watch out cause the initial price is $45. They do have a lot of flavors and you can mix them. Comes with a pineapple or grapefruit head. The octopus and coconut shrimp were good and the steak was perfection. Staff were friendly and attentive. I'd come again.

I'm really interested in going here, but how much is the hookah (not that it really matters) and what is the dress code like?

This is one of my favorite spots. The hookah is high quality. I think it's about $50 but they give you new coals and I don't believe they charge for that. As for dress code. Depends on when you go. But generally just be clean and sexy.

What kind of music do they play on saturdays..is ..there a live dj?

Been there twice in the past 2 months. One Sunday and Saturday night. Both times DJ arrived about 9 and played a variety of music.

Is it true you can't SIT in the club if you don't buy a bottle?

There's no longer a club section. It's mainly a hookah lounge now which is much nicer than before!

Do they serve food in the hookah lounge area?

Yes they do serve food in all areas

We had to try their hand-made pasta too, and we could really tell from the texture of the pasta how fresh it was. What we forgot was how close 314 was to the subway station, so it was very loud---but that is uncontrollable. Service was overall great! Our server checked in on us often, and the food came out about 10-15 min after. The food was good! Considering the $16 lunch deals, the meals were generous for the price. I got the Porcina pizza, and it was good, but really salty. I had to ask for a side of arugula to kill the prosciutto salt. It should have had a creamy mushroom base but I did not taste that at all. Potentially I ordered the wrong item for my liking, but the pizza itself had a nice crust and generous portion. I will come back to try a different pizza!

The bartenders often have a weirdly grouchy "bro" energy that makes you feel like you're bothering them just by ordering a drink. Last fall, one guy was even playing music that sounded like a Christian radio station. The lyrics literally had the word "Lord" in them. It felt less like a neighborhood bar on the UWS and more like I'd wandered into a roadside bar somewhere in the Bible Belt. Another bartender always seems completely checked out. It's hard to flag him down, so we end up sitting there with empty drinks until he eventually notices. On our most recent visit it was a beautiful day outside, but we decided to sit inside since we were planning to order a bunch of food and settle in for a while. The basement was musty and dark and all the windows were shut. We politely asked if they could open a window or turn on the AC for a bit just to air it out. The response was a flat "No." That was it. When we asked why, he said if he did that someone else might complain, and then he just walked away. He kind of just waived us away, it was the weirdest interaction. That was the last time we overlooked the attitude. We normally like to hang out and spend $120-$150 here, but at that price we don't want to feel like we're an imposition.

The food was good and drinks were too. The space and workers were also very accommodating. Clean bathrooms and everything. My place of employment wanted to book somewhere to have our holiday gathering after work for December 2025. I visited U Bar in person in late October to inquire about such an event for approximately 70 people. The host informed me to get in touch with the owner due to such a large amount of people and just wanted to ensure that it could be accommodated as needed. I had no problem with that and she gave me the business card, I bought some grilled chicken pasta Alfredo and headed home. As soon as I got home I spoke to the owner Eddy both via text and call. We spoke about what accommodations I would need, he said no problem. I reiterated to him that it was something that would be very informal and he told me that since it was on Friday, he would honor the "college Friday" deal that they have for college students for myself and colleagues as well. As you can imagine I was all for it, he booked it for December 19th at 4pm. He told me that he could open earlier for us, but just for the downstairs section which was perfectly fine. No hassle. After the call, I got an automated text stating that my reservation for "15" people had been booked and confirmed. I called him back immediately and told him that the reservation was for 70 problem as discussed, not 15. He told me not to worry that it'll be fixed in the system eventually but that I didn't have to worry about the glitch. I said okay fine. Keep in mind, this was late October this all transpired. Fast forward to December 11th 2025, I got an automated text stating that my reservation had been updated to 70 people. Not sure why it took a month and a half to "update" the number of people but I didn't care as long as the agreement we had had been met the day of. Then the VERY NEXT DAY on 12/12, I got an automated text stating that my reservation for 12/19 had been canceled altogether. Feeling understandably confused and annoying, I called U Bar at least 6 times to speak to someone to clear up what the confusion about the reservation is because I'm only a week out from the date of the event at this point. NO ONE picked up the phone but they were definitely open at the time. Remembering that I had Eddy's number from speaking to him prior, I called him to no answer but then texted him to explain my grievance. He then proceeded to respond back and say that the restaurant, managers as well as HIMSELF had been calling me prior to because I had two reservations booked. Now, keep in mind, I didn't actually make the reservation on my end, HE, the OWNER, made the reservation based on our conversation. I explained how disappointed I was that the reservation would be cancelled without notice. He informed me that he would speak to the manager about the situation. He hasn't gotten back to me. I then spoke to my best friend who had the idea of calling the restaurant and sneaking a merged call where I could speak to them. He did in fact get in contact with someone at U Bar (I heard it myself) but then the line disconnected. He called back immediately and no one picked up. No one there ever called me about having two reservations. I tend not to even believe that I had two reservations because ... 1. I never booked any reservation there on MY end. 2. Why didn't I receive an automated message about the "other" reservation that was allegedly booked as I had gotten about the one for the event? 3. The owner alleged that I had a reservation booked for both 12/12 (the day my original reservation was cancelled) AND 12/19 the actual day of the event. But even if I did have two reservations, what difference would that make? Am I not allowed to reserve a spot on multiple days? What would one reservation have to do with the other? None of it makes any sense. They will never see a DIME from me and what's worse is that I was ACTUALLY looking forward to my colleagues and I really visiting this place and getting the same care that I initially felt back in August. Now, I pray for the day this place becomes a parking lot. Unbelievably unprofessional.
