I was there this past Saturday and the food was basic, drinks were decent and service was HORRIBLE!!! I will not be coming back to this restaurant again! We arrived to the restaurant about 15 minutes earlier than our 7pm reservation, it was pretty empty, so empty that I didn't even have to mention our reservation. We were seated by Catalina (?) she told us that was her name but the receipt says Jenny A. WHATEVER! Doesn't matter will not be back to even need to remember her name. We ordered our drinks right after being seated, drinks didn't take too long to arrive. I'm not sure if it's because we didn't order hookah or what it was that caused the lack of service but I literally watched the server walk back and forth without so much as even looking at our table to see if we were ready to order. Remember, I said the place was basically empty! There was a couple at one table and a guy at another table, a guy at the bar and another couple came in about 10 minutes after us. EMPTY for a Saturday night! I finally called Catalina/Jenny A.(whoever she was) so that we can place our food order, I'm 1,000% certain that if I hadn't called her over to the table, she would not have come over to take our order. FINALLY, we placed our food order. We got our food fairly quick. We asked her MULTIPLE times for ketchup and steak sauce, minutes go by, nothing, a few more minutes go by, still nothing. FINALLY, she comes back with the smallest cup of ketchup for a burger and fries and literally a drop of steak sauce, no exaggeration, it was a drop for a whole Ribeye steak. Who doesn't have steak sauce and you sell steak?! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! Service was absolutely horrible and the food was definitely mediocre. Lucky for Catalina/Jenny A., the gratuity was included in the bill or else she wouldn't have received a dime!! There are so many great restaurants in Edgewater, this is NOT one of them!! read more

Food was very tasty. The was good, could've been a bit better maybe there was a bit of a language barrier however it's nothing that big of a deal for me. The vibes is nice, there's a pleasant atmosphere. My issue was more so the hookah not being that great for the price and the drinks weren't worth the listed prices. My husband and I came here for a date night on a Saturday night. It was definitely packed but not overwhelming at all. The decor was super cute and had very dim lighting which was great for the whole ambiance of date night. The hostesses greeted us nicely and we were seated quickly. We ended up getting lots of drinks as well as the burger, personal pie, spinach artichoke dip and calamari to share. Everything had good flavor and the drinks were phenomenal. Strong but super tasty. We ordered one specialty hookah for my husband and I to share which was pretty pricey but lasted us a really long time. When it was time to pay my husband quickly gave his card and we were on our way. When we got into the car we noticed that we were charged twice for our hookah. Over $100 just hookah! We were really upset about it, especially after we had such a great night but we decided we would just call the next day and try to get it resolved. The next day my husband spoke to the manager and was able to get everything resolved super quickly! We were so happy. To start, the service here is awesome. The Host was friendly and welcoming. Emmanuel, our server was no doubt conversational, attentive, and really made our time there feel un-rushed. We had went for some beers, hookah and some appetizers. The beer was always cold no matter which beer we chose and always had a nice head on it. The staff kept on-top of the hookah, replacing the charcoal often to keep it pulling great. Now the SOLE reason I chose to remove 1 star was the comparison between the food quality and the price. The food was good, Buffalo wings were good, coconut shrimp could have had a bit more flavor, but It was a bit pricey to add to all of that. All in all, I'd definitely return. read more

Located in Edgewater, this place is located in a huge mall and there's an abundance of parking space available which is a big plus! The restaurant is pretty high scale and the ambience is happening inside, the crowd seems to be pretty upscale over here! The service was pretty quick also the server was polite. The food could be improved upon as personally it didn't feel much out of the world kinda stuff for such kind of place. We had ordered Mediterranean pizza, garlic bread and calamari! The pizza was good due to the toppings but the dough felt too bready whereas the garlic bread was crispy enough. I liked the calamari though, it was fried to perfection and oil was drained out well.. wish they provided a bit more of sauce on the side given the quantity of calamari! I came here for hookah after my sister's birthday dinner nearby. Our group of about 10 were seated immediately. We ordered a few appetizers, as well as drinks and some hookah. The drinks were strong and the hookah was really smooth. I think the prices were on the higher side, but reasonable for the location. He checked on the other 2 girls sitting adjacent to us multiple times. My friend and I were ready to have fun and order drinks and food and no one was checking in to our table to get our order. I very politely expressed to David that my friend and I sat at the back for an hour and a half and no one got our food orders or checked in to see if we needed more drinks, he just nodded and said okay. When we arrived we parked in the plaza parking lot. We walked in and was sat by the hostess. We were served by Louis and he was so thorough and good. He was on point with everything and very attentive. When we were ready to order drinks I noticed the drinks were so over priced which was a turn off. I ended up getting a patron margarita. And the girls got different drinks. The girls also ordered a hookah to smoke before we got our entrées. For an entrée we all got the lamb with sides of our choice which they charge for each side if you get a small plate like lamb. The lamb and mash potatoes was pretty good. And the girls liked their dish as well. When the bill came it was pretty high and we realized the hookah was $45 which they didn't know and gratuity was included automatically. I've been here several times over the years and enjoyed each time. This review will only discuss my most recent visit during Covid. Came here with my best friend for dinner, drinks and hookah. We ordered wings, Caesar salad, chicken quesadilla, and a side of fries to eat and split everything. The prices were reasonable and we liked everything! We also ordered margaritas and after a bottle of white wine. We also ordered a hookah. Unfortunately, with Covid we had to leave a little before 10 pm before we finished our hookah and bottle. However, the server was very friendly and helpful, I think his name was Moses? And he wrapped our bottle for us and gave us the hookah with a new charcoal pack for us to take home. What? Lol yes you read that right! Rest assured we were pleasantly surprised to say the least! The music here is always good and it's a great place to go and hangout with friends or on a date if you want somewhere that isn't so quiet. The staff is always so helpful here too. The only con was the fact that we were seated by the back door and the individuals seated to our right kept opening the back door to smoke their cigarettes which allowed the cold air to enter. COVID REVIEW: I'll give it to Spirit Lounge, they're trying. Get this, their hookahs are DISPOSABLE! Mind blown, I know. You can take it home as a souvenir. Food is as expected, nothing spectacular but fine if you need to nosh on something. Drinks are good, wait staff is friendly. What's weird is that they have an hour and a half time limit on tables and they aren't playing games. First Impressions: No photos during this visit. It was my first time here, lots of free parking since it in a plaza, with no issues. Went here on a 1st time date, with the reviews from Yelp as I do not know area that well. It was a Saturday night 6:20pm and when I walked in there were only 3 tables seated. My first thought was "crap" did I pick a bad place. Was seated awaiting my guest and the first thing I noticed was the seat cover cushion at the table had holes in it. I was like "great, what am I getting into". I did get dressed according to the dress code, but I don't think that it is followed very strictly. Dining Experience: The waiter was awesome. He didn't make me feel uncomfortable sitting at the table by myself, waiting. We talked about this being my first date and he suggested maybe ordering some sangria for the table for when she arrived, which was a GREAT idea. We had three small plates for dinner. Coconut Shrimp, steak quesadillas and tuna tartare. The food was good, if you look at this place as a sports bar and not a restaurant. A pitcher of Sangia and three small diner plates with tip was $115.00 a bit pricey and for me not worthy of a return. It was strange that they had the lights on so bright after 10 PM, I've never been to a hookah lounge where it was so bright usually the lights are dim but either way it was cool. They had good music playing and it wasn't as packed as I heard it gets on other days. It was also early on a sunday so l would have to come back to experience the night life here. The hookah was smooth and the pistachio dessert was very delicious. My friend had the patron margarita which came in a cute patron bottle. I tasted it and it was strong. The cappuccino was really good too. The service was mediocre. The waitress was nice but it took forever to get the bill. This place is really cool to just hangout, have a hookah and eat some good food. It's an indoor/outdoor place and has a very casual dress code. I went here with a friend last night and we gorged on appetizers like the coconut shrimp and the walnut salad. I had two pomegranate Margaritas which were excellent. However, I had a big issue with the bill which came up to a whopping $160.77. They are performing a very deceitful practice of "doubling up" on gratuity charges. They sent me a bill of 160.77 which included a $23.00 gratuity with no option to adjust the amount. I gave them my card to pay and after charging my card they gave me a another receipt this time with the option to add on another gratuity of at least 18 %. Outrageous! I believe they get away with this because many people are heavily intoxicated at the point of payment and not paying attention to their bill. Something needs to be done here to make sure customers are not being taken advantage of. read more

I give Spirit Lounge 5 stars because a) it's in NJ and b) you can spend your night anyway you want to here. This place is a restaurant, hookah lounge, sports bar, and club all in one. If you want to enjoy music while eating some tasty treats, you can do that. If you want to watch the game while drinking a few beers, you can do that. If you want to smoke hookah while dancing to Hip Hop & Latin music , you can do that too. Spirit Lounge is set up for you to enjoy your night anyway that you choose. I was here on a Friday night in January with some friends, and we really did enjoy ourselves. The staff was attentive and quick with our orders, the DJ was playing a good variety of different genres music, and the place was not too crowded. There was plenty of space to move around without being cramped on strangers. Another upside to this spot is there's plenty of parking, no cover fee, and the prices are reasonable compared to lounges in NYC. read more
