Place is solid with an abundance of tables to play on. Drinks are extremely affordable even on a Friday night. Bar food is pretty decent as well, but with a lot of fast food places in the area, I would suggest grabbing a quick meal ahead of time. I was lucky enough to try multiple food items sense it was a birthday party celebration. Brisket was actually pretty good but a tad salty, mozzarella sticks were crunchy and hot, penne vodka was descent and salad was typical. When you're drunk though, everything fried and heavy tastes good. Music is a bit outdated though since its an older dj and place needs some tender loving care maybe a minor renovation. But overall, nice place to just come and hang out with friends. :Blue moon $4.50 on tap :Bottle of Heineken $4.75 :Yuengling $4.00 on tap

Solid pool hall with decent food and good management. It is a reasonable and enjoyable place to shoot pool and have a few drinks.

One of the best places to play billiards, multiple TVs, bar and its affordable. Employees are generous and food is properly prepared.

Good casual spot for pool. Serve food and beer which is nice. Haven't tried the food, but beer is reasonably priced.

(Full disclosure: my father was actually really good but unfortunately I didn't inherit any of his 'pool shark' DNA.) Of the few local places that were around (one in Secaucus - near Red Lobster, that closed a long time ago - as well as Castle Billiards in East Rutherford) - Guys & Dolls was always the more affordable place, the one with more tables, and it seemed a bit more 'serious' since you were there to play (as opposed to a place that has booze and you're looking to get your buzz on and pool is secondary/an excuse). It's pretty bare bones (looks like they might've added a 'snack station' across from the cashier/counter) but the tables are in (pretty) good shape, the cues are decent and... you have room to shoot! (There's nothing more infuriating than your buddy who has a pool table in the basement but you can't take a decent shot without slamming into the walls. And let's not even get started when a pub has a pool table and you have to contend with countless people milling about and interrupting your game.) I've been coming here on and off for decades and no matter what time of day... that very first table (carom billiards, no pockets) - is always occupied with some deadly serious guys trying to best each other. That's how you can tell this place is legit. A few things have changed over the years (two Ping-Pong tables in the back corner?) but it's still pretty much the pool hall I recall from back in the day and that's a damn good thing. (The bathroom is pretty rough, I won't lie.) No Massé shots!

When I told my mom where we were going her reaction- "omg that place is still around?!? It use to be excellent back in the day!" Well I am happy to report this place is just as good today as it was during my mother's heyday. I decided to get a few oysters and clams to start off with and everything was just so fresh. As an entree the Seafood in a spicy red sauce was easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. There was a generous amount of seafood within the dish, the sauce I swear I could just drink it out of a cup and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband got the bbq ribs which I didn't try but you could see how they just slid right off the bone and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We ended our meal with some strong espresso. I enjoyed how it is a very casual atmosphere with a nice bar area that had a few TVs to watch some sports games. No need to dress to impress. The service was a little bit on the slower side but the waitress was very nice. The man who brought out my oysters, I asked him which were the east coast and which where in the west coast oysters, along with asking him where in the west coast my oysters were from and he couldn't tell me. I just think a place should just know these things is they are selling them. Nonetheless we still really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return.

The Jersey Shore restaurants will always have an advantage when it comes to seafood because of location. North Jersey offers a diverse, high-quality seafood scene, ranging from upscale Mediterranean-style fish markets to casual, beloved neighborhood spots. Situated less than 2.5 miles from MetLife Stadium, Biggie's has been a neighborhood institution located off of Route 17 South in Carlstadt and is best known for its clams-on-the-half-shell and wide selection of beers on tap. My partner, our friends, and I have been to this family-owned establishment numerous times and decided to have dinner last night. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this casual vibe, we were greeted by the host. There is a lively sports bar side full of TVs and a dining room side, where we got a booth immediately by the window. Their menu has a wide array of options, rivaled only by the countless photographs and mementos that fill nearly every inch of wall space. There are many sandwiches, a half-dozen salads, thin-crust pizzas, and a substantial range of pastas. For starters, we decided on two dozen East Coast oysters on a half shell and Steamed Mussels with white wine butter broth. A side of Italian bread was brought for dipping. As a main meal, we opted for the Turkey Chili, Baby Back Ribs, Fried Calamari, Caesar salad, and Fries. The food was excellent and delicious, using the freshest ingredients. The portions were healthy. The staff went out of their way to make one feel welcome, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was Hadiyah. The price was reasonable. The Garden State's seafood scene is a testament to the state's rich maritime heritage, offering something for every palate, whether one's a regular or a first-timer. This is why people keep coming back week after week.

The cod taco appetizer was surprisingly big and really delicious. It could easily be a meal or shared. The French onion soup was fine, and the apple salad was fresh and very large. We split it between three people without any issue. The pizza had good flavor and plenty of cheese, but the dough was a bit too soft for my taste. We only ordered it because so many menu items were unavailable. They were out of the Chicken Milanese, the short rib pappardelle, the spare ribs, and the butternut squash soup and probably more. It felt like everything one of us wanted to order wasn't available, which was pretty disappointing. Service was friendly, but there were a few small mix-ups. When I asked what was their house wine, I was told they didn't have one even though it was printed on the menu. And I ordered my pizza with pepperoni on the whole pie and artichokes on half, and got half plain and half roni and chokes. My friend enjoyed their tomato soup, and said the espresso martini was very good. Overall, it has a cute atmosphere and nice staff, but with so many items unavailable, the experience fell short for us. Would come back and just sit at the bar for appetizers and a cocktail.
