Overall the place is very beautiful and easy to go to. Parking is very easy as well and the views by the water are always nice. Staff is very accommodating and sweet as well. The drinks are great and the food was okay. Very pretty all in all and would go again.
My bestie and I stumbled upon this gem because we had to pivot. The place we had in mind was not opened on this day. Honestly, I was happy because HAVEN was the first for BOTH of US . It's definitely up my alley! It gave the feel of being in Miami on a waterfront property. The Pisces in me had a ball! 1. Being by the Hudson River 2. Great view of Manhattan Skyline 3. Awesome seafood & selections 4. Great customer service 5. To top it off, creating great memories with the bestie You can't go wrong with any of their selections. Honestly, their menu does little to no justice in depicting their specialties. I really love that their selections are limited. In my opinion, it allows room to perfect their crafts. Room for improvements: A small suggestion for the lobster croquettes, I could not taste the lobster; however, my friend said she did. I also jokingly told my friend that the only thing missing from this restaurant is a restroom attendant serving me warm towels lol. The restroom also had a vibe to it with dimmed lighting and reusable washcloths. I already told bestie that when I visit again, "this will be our spot." Check it them out!
Haven is an exceptionally well-run restaurant serving remarkable dishes. From start to finish the staff are kind and on top of everything you could need. You can't go wrong with a cocktail, appetizer, or entree here! Perfect for date nights, family gatherings, celebrations, or anywhere you'd love high quality food and a top notch view of the Hudson and Manhattan. Truly a one of a kind restaurant powered by a world class kitchen and talented waitstaff and management.
My cousin (god we love her) lives in the building next door so for the past 2 years Haven has been her haunt. Now I have a thing when people say "it's just next door" or "it's right down the street." What did George Dubya say? Fool me once and it's shame on you, fool me twice and the shame is mine for getting us into a war based on lies and greed?" Yeah something like that. Anyways, I typically don't believe when people say something is close so whenever I visit her we just order in delivery rather than motivate (ie put on a bra) and go out. But dang it this is literally. Right. Next. Door. As in I can sit on the deck outside of the restaurant and look in her living room. Smh. I say all that to say IVE BEEN MISSING OUT!! Her bday was this weekend so she booked a large table for family and friends. I was relieved to see they had valet. Parking is atrocious in this development so to only pay $10 to be 10 feet from the door was awesome. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff know her well and treated her as a valued guest. Here's the rundown: We went for BRUNCH. They have a prix fixe for $41 of most of the brunch items and it includes 2 Bellini, 2 mimosas, or 2 Bloody Marys. Good right? Welp what you don't know is that their cocktail menu is incredible so to heck with the prix fixe. We got mimosas at home!! Between the 10 of us we got cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, coffee. Highlights: -Service was spectacular. Wesley was On It! By the time we finished eating there was another party of 10+ seated right behind us that he was servicing. I hope he enjoys the reward$ of his hard work! Make it rain on em Wesley! -Fat friendly seating. No arms, solid chairs, comfortable cushions. We were there for 4 hours and my booty was never sore. -Food. We tore it up and it was all delicious. My half of the table had the farm house breakfast sando, the fried chicken sando, French omelette, huevo rancheros. We shared the crab hush puppies, wings, calamari, goat cheese salad, and blueberry pancakes. I was nosey and saw that some of my other table mates ordered the skirt steak and eggs and the short rib. -Drinks. I know my husband loves mango so I suggested he get the smoked mango drink. I didn't know it came with theatrics. Dinner and a show?! Btw by the time our table was done almost everyone had ordered one. Lychee martini, Paloma, old fashioned, midnight espresso. Also all very good! -The View. Our party was too large to sit outside but we did sit right at the floor to ceiling windows. In between birthday wishes and food comas we watched the boats, jet skis, and undulating waves of the Hudson. Previous posters are correct - the place is pricey. But high key the people who live in that area are already paying a premium for everything else sooooo. Now, I DONT live in that area lmao so this will be a rarer treat for me. But I was happy to celebrate my cousin's birthday in a place that she loves. Awesome experience - I look forward to returning! 10/10 would put on a bra for this and walk downstairs lol
FOOD- was absolutely delicious! SERVICE-I was DISAPPOINTED that our server right after we put in the order we got our server right away bc we wanted the truffle fries instead of regular fries and he said the order was in and couldn't switch meanwhile $40+ a plate being forced to eat something I don't want. Doesn't sit right. I've dined here before that's why I came back. Ambiance- was great eating on the terrace definitely set the mood.
Out of all the city-view restaurants we've tried around Edgewater, Haven easily stands out as the best overall experience. The setting is hard to beat-- the skyline views create a beautiful backdrop that really elevates the entire meal especially at night. The food isn't flawless across the board, but its definitely good. With some standout highlights. If you like oysters, the Kumamotos are a must-- buttery, rich and incredibly fresh. And the petit filet mignon is executed to perfection, cooked exactly right and full of flavor. Overall, great atmosphere, efficient service, strong key dishes, and one of the best waterfront dining experiences in the area.

I love the ambiance at Haven. The view is great, especially during night time. The hostess is always friendly. I've had good service here every time, Calum and David were great! Sorry I can't remember all the other servers' names. The food is superb as well. If you're a fan of oysters, go for the kumamotos. They are so buttery and creamy, a guaranteed orgasm in your mouth. The bakkafrost salmon is perfect, their filet mignon was also cooked to perfection. If you're going for brunch, the spicy crispy chicken sandwich was hella good. Waterfront restaurant. It was OK. The service is great, the menu is OK. We went for restaurant week and that was a wonderful way to try many dishes. We decided to stop by the bar for happy hour on the way out. I preferred that menu. Maria was our waitress by the bar and was great. If I read in the area I would return, but I wouldn't make the trip otherwise.

She took so many pictures of our group. The view from the restaurant is also another highlight. I'd definitely recommend stopping in when in the area.
I had a lovely birthday lunch, sitting on Haven's covered outdoor patio. It has the perfect ambiance, and the view of NYC is beautiful. The braised short ribs were fork-tender and delicious! The burger was a sizable portion and served with perfectly cooked fries. In addition to a variety of cocktails, beer, and wine, they offer thoughtfully crafted mocktails. The indoor dining room is also very classy, but I was most impressed with the cloth hand towels and hand lotion in their restroom. For outdoor seating, I would recommend making a reservation. Several people who arrived without one were unable to sit on the patio.

Whether one's in the mood for a cozy family dinner or a casual get-together with friends. Sitting on the banks of the Hudson River in Edgewater, my partner, our friends, and I decided on a celebratory dinner at the Haven Waterfront Restaurant & Bar. A reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table immediately by the window inside their floor-to-ceiling dining room, evoking a relaxed yet upscale vibe. Their menu specializes in American/Mediterranean cuisine influenced by seafood, steakhouse, and pasta. For appetizers, we decided on Short Rib Crostini, Kumamoto Oysters, and Yellowin Ahi Tuna Tacos. Our main consisted of Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass, 7 oz Prime Cut Filet Mignon, Bangkok Roasted Duck Breast, Lenny's Lobster Pasta, Crispy Lyonnaise Potatoes, and French Butter Asparagus. We even saved room for dessert and got the Bailey's Crème Brûlée and Assorted Dessert Tasting for two. We washed them down with I Dream of Lychees Martini, Berry White Spritz, and Haven Espresso. Complimentary bread with softened butter started our meal. The food is presented like art, and the portions varied depending on what one ordered. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it and fair considering the quality. Our server, Juan, was friendly, accommodating, and took the time to answer all of our questions, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant is definitely a highlight, especially the outdoor and window seating with beautiful views of the water and NYC. Unfortunately, the service and food didn't live up to the setting for us. Our waiter, Danny, seemed to have an attitude from the moment we arrived. He hardly checked on our table, and after overhearing his conversations with other tables, it was clear that the energy and attentiveness he gave them felt different from what we received. Since gratuity is automatically included for larger parties, it made the experience even more disappointing. As for the food, several dishes lacked seasoning, including the lobster mac & cheese, salmon, braised short rib, short rib ragu, and lobster croquettes. Our group spent almost $1,400, so unfortunately, we expected more from both the food and service. The views and ambiance are lovely, but based on our experience, I wouldn't return. read more

Haven is one of my favorite restaurants and bars in Edgewater, NJ. Their lounge area is nice and welcoming - I recommend their happy hour including mocktails and cocktails! Also their restaurant area is beautiful with a NYC skyline view and amazing food and service! Today, we went there for date night and had again Alejandro taking best care of us! He made our evening out tonight special! We should have taken more pictures of the delicious and beautifully arranged dishes. read more

Came to Haven for a late lunch and had such a great experience! The service was impressively quick especially considering the kitchen closes at 3pm--and our waiter, Thanos, was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit even better. Drink: Espresso Martini - rich, smooth, and just the right kick. Food: * Shrimp Tempura Crispy Rice Bites - My absolute favorite. Perfect texture and flavor. So delicious! * Truffle Mac N' Cheese - Creamy, rich, and full of that deep truffle flavor. A comfort food dream. * Yellowfin Ahi Tuna Tacos - Fresh and beautifully presented. My second favorite. * Pan Seared Sea Scallops - Cooked well, though the bacon definitely took center stage flavor-wise. Overall, the meal was flavorful, well-paced, and the vibe was relaxed but elevated. Definitely recommend for a lunch date or catching up with friends over great food and drinks. I came for Mother's Day. Normally we go out in Saturday due to the Mother's Day crowd, but yo my surprise though it was packed I'm glad they gave mercy on us for being 30min late. Either they were running behind or just held our resy. Either way traffic from nyc to nj was horrible. 1/4 of our party was there on time to hold the resy. By the time they texted us the table was ready we were just pulling up to valet around 7pm. The service was quick or waiter was super friendly. We had the Mother's Day prefix menu. We had the shrimp firecracker which was really good and mother had calamari which had a really nice presentation. We all had steaks which were all good. As for sides I feel like they fell short on the crab fried rice. Not much crab and the rice was Al dente and not much flavor. I should've gone with the Mac n cheese or mashed potatoes (those were good). Desert we had cheesecake and the brownie. Both were great no complaints. The best part of the his place was the waterfront views especially at night. I would definitely come back to try their full menu or just for a nice day to sit on the water for brunch/dinner. read more

I recently hosted my bridal shower here and from the moment I reached out to book the location all the way through breakdown of decor, they were amazing. Fiona assisted me on the booking side of things, ensuring we put together the best brunch option for my guests. The day of we had plenty of time to be able to set up and decorate the private dining area. Our servers were helpful, friendly, and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals and many commented on the beautiful space and location. Huge thank you to all of the Haven staff for ensuring we had a wonderful event! read more

Their mocktails are also very delicious (currently pregnant so it's a great alternative). Server was attentive and overall experience was great! Their happy hour is also pretty good too. Fidel and his team made tonight's dinner unforgettable!! Haven is located in a corner area of Edgewater with breathtaking views of NYC. When you arrive, they have $10 valet- super convenient since it's in an area with barely any parking. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great vibe, they played some of my favorite songs but in the instrumental version and it was lovely. I originally requested a seat with a view, since we were joined by out of towners from Toronto. They did a decent job at accommodating my request, especially since the restaurant was busy. For appetizers we tried the oyster sampler and it was fresh and delicious. We also got the octopus, which was cooked perfectly (a pet peeve of mine) and came with a nice mixed salad. I ordered the lobster pasta, which could've used some more seasoning, but still good nonetheless. My date got the ribeye, which he raved about. He also added the loaded mashed as a side and enjoyed it. Our out of town guest went with the branzino and side of lobster Mac and cheese, which she took home for lunch the next day. For dessert we tried the crème brûlée and paired it with espressos for half the table. A very fresh dessert and not too sweet of a bite. I tried the espresso martini, which wasn't my favorite but I still finished it lol A bottle of white wine, four cocktails (including the espresso), two appetizers, four meals, and two sides ran us a little over $500 without tip. If you're looking for exceptional service, beautiful vibe/views, and decent food with a little cash to spend- get dressed up nicely and check out Haven :) read more

Very good! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Haven! Everything we had from our appetizers to our mains was all quite good and service was great as well. We were seated outside and the views are absolutely stunning and truly add to the ambience of the restaurant. Next time we're in Edgewater, we will definitely return to Haven and would recommend anyone in the area that wants a nice meal with gorgeous views stop by. read more

Went here for brunch on a Saturday and it was absolutely perfect sitting outside looking at the view. The ambience makes the whole experience. We had a few different drinks and all were tasty, iced latte was great as well! The food was really yummy as well I would say overall the appetizers were better than entrées. Rock shrimp was fantastic- 10/10! The lobster risotto balls were also yummy but didn't get too much lobster. For the entrees, portions were generous and we each enjoyed the different food. We also appreciated that the menu included brunch and more lunch style food. Service was friendly and helpful. Would like to return for dinner at some point, great option in the area especially if you enjoy outdoor seating. read more

We have come here several times even during the scamdemic. Ate outside However. The place is attractive inside. All throughout the place it is truly a nice looking place. I have come for dinner and happy hour. Very adult no young ins flexing. Truly is a nice night out. We have tried many dishes the fish etc. Salmon and Chicken were good. Happy hour the sliders wings and love the cod tacos all homeruns. The service is always nice and competent read more
