Terravita has become one of my favorite spots. The service is always friendly and attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere is one of the best parts. It's quiet, relaxing, and the outside view makes it such a great place to sit back and enjoy a meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food never disappoints either. The short rib hash at brunch is easily one of my favorites, and the braised short rib for dinner is just as good tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. If you're looking for a place with amazing food, excellent service, and a peaceful atmosphere, I can't recommend Terravita enough. The pancake was quite nice and I could see why it's a popular order here. Went in hopes of a good experience but left underwhelmed by it all. If it was thickened it would glaze the cauliflower and you could actually appreciate how good it was and the dish would be so much better. For the mains we ordered the salmon burger and lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were ok but nothing amazing. It's rare that we actually go to a place we just added to our never ending list of places to try. I'm so glad we went to terravita as soon as I found it on TikTok !! We got there probably 1-1.5 hours of it opening so we didn't need to wait long to get seated -- in fact we got seated right away for brunch. I'm a big fan of short rib and they had so much short rib on their menu it was hard to choose from ! On their brunch menu, they had a short rib croquette, short rib panini, and short rib hash. We ended up getting the croquette and I wasn't expecting the amount of short rib it came with inside the pairing with truffle aioli was delicious and not too overpowering. Because we got the croquette, I opted for the vegan option of their king trumpet mushroom. The mix of textures from the mushroom and the puffed rice worked so well, I bet it would be delicious with risotto, too. My fiancé opted for the salmon madame that was also the perfect size and perfectly cooked and prepared. The sourdough's crust crunch really made it even more exciting to eat (as you can tell, I love textures ) We closed off with their bread pudding which wasn't too sweet at all. As the Duke of Terravita I have the authority to title this place "Decent Brunch." I've been dining here since it was Emma's Bistro and it's always been a pretty good time and for the location--the price is right. For some reason, when making a reservation and choosing the dining room you still get sat in the terrace but luckily the heat lamps work pretty well. I haven't had a bad dish here so I'd recommend trying anything and everything. I think the apps are my favorite, the lamb hummus and the short rib croquettes...fantastic! Parking is a bust, I'm pretty sure everyone just parks at Whole Foods and walks over. Service needs some work, too many hands and yet the bill still takes a little too long to come but it's not a deal breaker. It's great for a cute meal before running errands around town. Our crew of friends and family decided to host a holiday dinner party here and it was absolutely awesome. I was in a bind as I had to find a venue for my moms bday the next day for a large party. Had it been for me, I would have booked a place weeks before but having. Indecisive siblings led to this dilemma. Luckily, terravita was able to accommodate as they have space for a large party that's semi private . I think the way the space was divided was clever . One can have a private space that's not completely removed from the rest of the place. Now the food, everything was delicious from the shared appetizers , lamb hummus , burrata ( crowd favorite), calamari (sweet and sour vs the Mediterranean salt and pepper - didn't like it as much )and short rib croquettes ( very good ) followed by each individual brunch / lunch items from steak and eggs ( Most popular choice ), shashuka , short rib hash ( was also a Crowd pleaser ), burger ( meh ), chicken and short rib paninis ( good ), salmon Benedict , ricotta pancakes ( crispy on the outside , fluffy and good inside ) and french toast . While majority of what we ordered were tasty , the portions sizes need to be tweaked as they were on the smaller side. I'm a quality vs quantity fan but adjusting a little can go a long way . Service was attentive and friendly , much thanks to the staff for making my mom's brunch / lunch celebration memorable . It was an overall good experience . I can't thank the restaurant enough for doing a good job accommodating and delivering ( a day before is quick notice for larger parties and hence I understood when some of the items weren't available, ie. Ordered an egg Benedict from here a while back and didn't think much of it, but recently decided to try this place again because of their Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Lobster Bisque Pasta. Unfortunately, they no longer serve the Lobster Bisque Pasta, but their Lemon Ricotta Pancakes ($18) were so good! The pancake was super light and fluffy with strong lemon flavors and slight crisp on the edges. You won't regret ordering it! There were so many dishes we also wanted to try from the menu, but stuck with the Lebanese Lamb Hummus ($18) and Short Rib Croquettes ($18). YUM! Both these dishes were so unique and delicious. You can ask for more pita bread, and 3 people can thoroughly enjoy the Lebanese Lamb Hummus. The Croquettes were probably my favorite of this visit; they sure packed a punch of flavor. For drinks, we got the Green Point ($12 mocktail; had a strong ginger flavor, but I liked it) and the Americano (around $8?). Service was great. Quick, easy to get their attention. Interior was modern and clean. Glad I decided to come back! ---------------- Came back for more with another friend, and it was just as good. I actually noticed that the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes have been smaller than what's pictured on Yelp these last two times I came. And I think they're too doughy for me; they gave me a stomach ache. My friend and I had a delicious dinner at Terravita. It serves dishes with creative American flavors in an elegant space. I got the Avocado Thai Salad and the King Trumpet Mushroom with Puffed Rice. I was very impressed with the flavor and texture combinations in both dishes. Any restaurant that can do vegetarian dishes well can do anything well. My friend got Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad and Short Rib Yucca Gnocchi, and she really liked her dishes too. The portions were perfect: not too much and not too small. Came here for Mother's Day brunch with a group of six. was actually super impressed by the menu. There were so many different options, including brunch and lunch type foods. Our table shared the calamari spicy tuna, tartar, and the lamb hummus. All of these were delicious and I would order all again- especially the spicy tuna, so fresh!! for me I tried the short rib Panini and the TV burger. I prefer the burger, but both were really good. Went here for brunch and had a great time. All the food was tasty and so were the drinks. The burrata was super tasty which I find rare. Usually when I order burrata, it's very bland but the sweet pepper relish elevated it. I'm not sure what the foam was but it was good. The sourdough bread it came with was yummy. Very soft and crisp at the same time. The tuna tartare was super yummy too. I don't think I'd ever think of putting taro chips with tuna tartare but it works! My only slight issue with the food was the chicken panini. The flavors were good but the chicken was dry. The ambiance is nice but the wind rushes in with every open of the door so if you're sitting in the path of the door on a cold or rainy day, it's going to stink. The decor was so relaxing / casual but has an edge to it that you can definitely bring a date here as well. A difficult task for us, is finding Sunday Brunch that is close to Hudson County. Sure, there are places if you want to pay $75.00 per person for a mediocre buffet or to wait in a line of cars to pull into a place that is more like a Sundae Bar and kiddie birthday party. The lamb and humus app. was packed with flavor, with some interesting ingredients and came with grilled slices of pita. My wife's poached eggs and hash looked a bit odd, but was delicious. The lemon ricotta pancakes were incredible. I shared a few bites and my wife loved them as well, and she isn't really into sweet breakfasts. This entree has been done to death, at a lot of places. I came here for my friend's birthday dinner. We had a reservation for 8 people on a Friday night, which is also their weekly Flamenco night (live music and dance performance)! First of all, the service here is impeccable. We had gotten balloons for the birthday girl, and the servers helped us tape them to the wall. They were so eager to help us with that, I really appreciated it! They also stored our cake until we were ready, brought it out with candles, then brought it back to the kitchen to cut it for us. Also, the flamenco performers played/sang happy birthday, which we didn't specifically request but our server must have let them know!!! That was so amazing and heartwarming!! The food here is so good too. For appetizers I highly recommend the charred octopus (steep price but soooo good) and salmon croquettes. For entrees, you can't go wrong with the lobster and ravioli, slow braised beef short ribs, and tartuffo fettuccine. Give the fettuccine a good mix before eating as the sauce settles at the bottom. The drinks were strong but delicious. Red berry and the raspberry lychee martini were crowd favorites. There's a public parking lot across the street that's free after 6 or 7pm. We even each got our own entree. I had the lobster ravioli and it was realllyy good.. But we weren't exactly too "stuffed." The dessert at the end was also really good, the little chocolate flower pot has brownie and ice cream. The menu is nice but the prices are high considering how small the dishes are. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly. The ambiance is cozy, perfect for dinner with friends or a date. A nice dining experience with a varied and refined menu The app and dinner menu had great options for meat, seafood and veggie lovers alike. It was hard to choose but we both liked the cauliflower steak (slightly spicy sauce) and the salmon (which had a standout mango carrot puree). Not the best meal I've ever had, given the prices, but a quite enjoyable one. They have a small dessert menu. I'd love to come back to try the Branzino, Peking duck tacos and mushroom pasta. Since it's meant to be a more leisurely experience I didn't mind the wait for the food. There were quite a few staff caring for patrons which was good because the server provided an adequate experience, nothing bad but nothing special either. The actual restaurant is nice but we got sat in the sunroom type area which wasn't as intimate as the regular dining area with more comfortable seating.
