I've been enjoying meals here since 2021 and I've never been disappointed. Füdgarten is the ideal spot to grab a healthy bite during a lunch break, after a work out, or for dinner. There's plenty of seating inside if you want to dine in. The interior is modern, clean, and inviting with lots of greenery. Their menu is built on natural ingredients and bold flavors. You can choose from diverse options like salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, protein shakes, etc. They use grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, wild-caught seafood, and locally sourced organic fruits and vegetables. They carefully craft their recipes and every item is made with love and care! Yes, the prices are on the higher end. But I'm happy to pay for higher quality food... because what you put into your body matters A LOT ;) I've tried a little bit of everything and they're all delicious. The food is packed with vibrant flavors and generous portions of protein. My top recommendation would be the Big NY (~$16). It includes steak, onion, mushrooms, romaine, feta, and lemon cilantro vinaigrette. I usually get it on a whole wheat wrap and it is to die forrrrrrrrr!!! The steak is super juicy and tender. All of the ingredients work so well together! One bite and I was in love. I also love getting a side of baked sweet potato fries ($6). Even the ketchup they use is organic and only made with REAL tomatoes. Don't forget to grab a bottled Kombucha ($5) from their fridge - a tangy, fizzy, sweet, and refreshing drink! The owner, Mike, is the man!!! Haha he's very welcoming, personable, and really cares about customer service. He's the type of business owner that will remember your name and order. If you're looking for a healthy option and also delicious, this establishmemt is definitely one of the ones to visit in Fort Lee, I always seem to forget to take a photo of the bowl (guess it's that good). My usual go to for this place would be a salad bow,l Aphrodite. The people are friendly, they are quite flexible with the orders and no frill, quick easy in and out. I went to Füdgarten only one other time previously and I think it must've been an off day because I did not have a good experience. However, I gave them another try today and I've had a definite change of heart. I ordered the Body bowl with chicken. Most of the bowls here come with quinoa or brown rice as the base. Personally, I don't like quinoa or brown rice (texturally, they just don't do it for me) but I was able to substitute the quinoa for potato, which worked out. The bowl came with a pleasant lemon cilantro vinaigrette, which tasted like a chimichurri sauce. It was a nice complement to the chicken (but the chicken was well seasoned and flavorful enough to stand on its own). It was also very juicy and tender and the portion size was really good. Overall, it was a nice wholesome meal. Healthy but not bland. Mike and his team run a great restaurant. For people who are health oriented and track their macronutrients, their menu makes it easy to stick to your goals. It's very protein focused and they have a good variety of protein options (including vegan/ vegetarian). I'll be back to try some of their other menu items. read more

I purchased the apricot, banana, and chocolate chip protein cookies as well (TBD on the review). You leave here knowing you tried different drinks or food off the menu, and it's yummy each time. I was looking for a fresh, healthy option in Fort Lee, and tried Fudgarten. Ordered the culture clash shake, which had all the ingredients under the sun (cacao nibs, spinach, strawberry, mango, banana, cinnamon). The shake was deceptively filling but it is on the pricey side ($9.50) for something I can basically make myself. Not a protein powder fan but the one they use had a subtle taste and wasn't grainy at all. My husband got the Trueno bowl, which looked good, and is a fully-rounded meal with all the macros. If I lived in Fort Lee and was feeling lazy about whipping up a healthy, tasty meal for myself, I'd come here. The menu had a lot of great options - bowls, salads, burgers, wraps, and shakes. I've ordered delivery from here before, but finally stopped by for a quick bite after gym - my wife and I enjoyed the wholesome taste, right portion, and the diverse health-focused menu. We had a chat with Mike the owner and he seemed serious enough about healthy eating to show me his before & after pic of eating healthy, and the menu options reflected it. (First - for delivery, my wife had ordered the El Toro bowl with wild caught fish before... and that thing was DELICIOUS... it's substantial, fish perfectly seasoned, just order it already) Wife ordered the Body bowl topped with chicken (extra $5) and fresh slices of avocadoes and it was light yet full of flavor in every bite. The potato in the bowl helped make this quinoa bowl substantial enough that she had some leftover (for me) to enjoy the next day. I had the Creole burger due to seeing so many reviews raving about it, and it delivered for the most part. What I mean is that while the first bite did not "blow me away" with bursting flavors, it instead got me a full bite of wholesome-tasting, juicy beef, that was subtly seasoned with accoutrements and paired perfectly with the more-seasoned side of large potato wedges, the healthy kind I make at home. So it was enjoyable while not overwhelming the taste buds. At first, I thought the quantity was a bit on the smaller side, but once I took a bite, it was hefty enough that by the time I got through the burger and the potato wedges, I was quite full! Looks are deceiving. At $13 for the bowl and $13.5 for the burger, I thought everything was reasonably priced, and I genuinely enjoyed talking to Mike afterwards to find out the challenges of opening right as the pandemic began (ouch!). He seems to be making all the right moves - and I'll definitely be supporting Fudgarten for my lunch & dinner needs because of their health & sustainability-conscious food that is delicious and does not break the bank. I tried the viral Chicken Caesar wrap, and honestly, it was a letdown. First, the size was MUCH smaller than what's shown on their social media--super misleading. Second, $15 for just the wrap (no fries!) feels overpriced. The service was the real issue, though. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was off. The cashier was rude and gave us major attitude. When we got our food, it wasn't even served to us like other customers-- similar to Starbucks; had to get it ourselves. First time ordering, and I'll be giving them another try, even though my meal was far less than stellar! Reading the reviews and looking at the pictures my guess is that you need to enjoy your meal right after it's prepared. My meal traveled for 45 minutes before eating and it did not travel well at all! The chicken club bread was toasted, which kept it from getting soggy, but it unfortunately went the other way and was very hard to the bite! The baked potato fries and baked sweet potato fries are very tasty, but the portion is very small and they are a poor value. My Pollo Argentina had quite the oil slick underneath from the chimichurri sauce! It was cold, dry, and hard after a 45 minute trip. The panini which I like, sometimes comes smaller or even half for some reason. And very stingy on the items basics sometimes it's just bread The bowls - small. Here's my review of the new healthy spot that is in Tea Bar's old location. Pretty good place, I really enjoyed my tuscani panini. For a price of 10.50 for it, I would say it was worth it. Obviously not the healthiest food to get I know, but at least I didn't get a bacon panini. Place was quite busy when I went, glad to see new businesses open up that are different types of food. Used to go to tea bar all the time for their sandwiches, very happy a place where I can get sandwiches opened up. Will definitely give some of their salads or healthier options a try next time.
