Went late Sun afternoon. The place was pretty spacious and fortunately there were plenty of tables available. I found the price of food to be very reasonable. I think they make their money on drinks though. My friend and I shared a pesto chicken sandwich on a hero bread but the bread seemed more like a baguette. Not complaining because I liked that crispy crust. When I took a bite of the sandwich, I was surprised by the freshness of the ingredients in the chicken sandwich, from the arugula, mozzarella cheese to the pesto. And the chicken breast wasn't the pounded thin kind either. Everything tasted like it was thoughtfully prepared. This place is more for brunch, not for pastries and sweet. Cute breakfast spot w pretty good menu. We randomly saw this place and had to try. Its a very cute mom and pop run breakfast/cafe thats spacious. Walked around overpeck in the morning and my husband and I decided to look for a cute brunch place! Came across this gem on Yelp and decided to try it out SO CUTE. Extremely open place as soon as you walk in and we were greeted by very friendly faces. As soon as you walk in the register and open kitchen is your left and there's seating along the right hand side. There's not a lot of seating but a good amount for a quick bite to eat I ordered an iced chai tea latte with almond milk and a spinach and mushroom omelette. The chai latte is one of the best I've tasted! Not watered down and it just had a really creamy taste to it! My spinach and mushroom omelette was brought out to our table with two small pieces of toast and these delicious breakfast potatoes! The omelette was delicious with melted mozzarella cheese (I think it was mozz cheese). The potatoes had a nice crispy edging to it which I LOVE. My husband got an iced mocha latte which was MIXED in so well. There's places that make iced mocha where the mocha syrup is covered at the bottom of the cup which is kind of annoying especially since you should really mix the drink to it's entirety so you get the full flavor. This place did NOT disappoint with this! The mocha was mixed perfectly with the espresso and it tasted DELICIOUS. My husband's egg, sausage, and cheese bagel was great! We came in on a Sunday morning and ordered 2 iced mochas ($6 each), an everything bagel with egg, cheese, and turkey bacon ($6), and the Western Omelette which came with 2 eggs, ham, bell pepper, onion, tomato ($10). They have an open kitchen, so you can see how hard the staff works to make your freshly prepared food. You can tell they put a lot of love and time into it. The staff is very friendly and they have a lot of regulars here. I love the local vibe! Our iced mochas were perfect! Just enough espresso balanced with the sweetness of chocolate. What a nice gem within Leonia. Snack Shop is a small eatery that does a fabulous job with presenting exceptional food and drinks. On top of the quality of their items, you have reasonable prices. That combination will make me a frequent, and happy, customer. Snack Shop has an open kitchen, where you could view the staff creating your order. My friend and I got the custom omelette the first day and the second day we got the veggie omelette with a few more veggies and cost is the same. Honestly I don't think the omelette is that good but the slice of toast that comes with the meal is good. Soft and a little thicker than most toast but not as thick as a Texas toast. I found this cute little cafe on Broad avenue. Plenty of parking spaces on the street and nearby schools and local shops. The inside is completely different from the outside. I was very surprised with the large, open space and woody, light decor inside. It's definitely a hidden gem and great addition to Leonia. It's open late and they have plenty of food options on their menu. I was impressed with the variety of fresh breads they have and different drink options. It's also BYOB just FYI. There's a liquor store across the street. I loved the avocado toast with pesto. They give you a good amount of avocado on and arugula salad on the side. The pesto spread made it perfect. My friend ordered the lox spread and she also enjoyed it. The French fries were crispy and hot! It was a big basket. We also tried the grapefruit ade and it was refreshing. I have to say the sandwiches are as delicious as always, the people working there are very friendly, and the taro bubble tea may have been the best one I've ever had. Even the boba were very fresh and chewy and didn't freeze over quickly in the slush. I noticed in the store that they have a much more extensive menu than what's on this Yelp page, which includes wraps, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, etc. so I kind of regretted not trying more new things.
