Giving what's supposedly the best cheesesteak in Bergen County a try! (I'm not sure how many cheesesteak places there are in Bergen County though.) the restaurant is located on a corner. There's metered parking out front. They have seating inside and outside. A restroom is available for customers. The kitchen is open and appeared very clean! I ordered the Bob O ($12.99), a chicken cheesesteak egg roll (1 for $5, 2 for $9) and onion rings ($5.49, same price as fries). The onion rings were my favorite. They were crispy, not greasy and best of all when you took a bite the whole onion didn't come out (hate when that happens!). The egg roll was way bigger than I expected! This was a bit greasier and while I enjoyed it there was something almost watery about it. It didn't seem to be oil, which I would've expected; I couldn't figure it out! Then the cheesesteak. Unfortunately on my first bite all I got were the peppers and onions. I had to better spread out the ingredients. It wasn't very cheesy. I found the onions to be too mushy so that took away from every bite.
I was going back and forth about whether to give this place 2 stars or 3 stars. I wish Yelp would let us give them .5s. Ever since I saw this place on Instagram and all the hype, it's been on my list of places to check out. I've been looking for a great cheesesteak in NJ, especially in Bergen County. However, when I finally checked it out, I was disappointed. I asked the girl working there what she would recommend or what was the most popular and she said the regular cheesesteak "The Bob-O" for $12.99 (shaved ribeye, grilled onions, peppers, American cheese) plus I added mushrooms. However, the cheesesteak was just okay, not amazing or bad. Just eh. We also had fries and they were okay, too. Also, we saw that they had a wings special with buffalo flavor, Asian flavor, and bbq sauce. My friend and I chose the buffalo flavor. This was a bad decision. The wings were tiny, dry, and not tasty. I guess my search for a great cheesesteak in Bergen County will have to continue.
My fiancé loves cheesesteaks so we came to try it out! It wasn't too busy in a Sunday night so that was nice. Service was friendly. The place has a couple 2 seater tables, some outdoor benches and bar like seating against the windows. Paid street parking only (I believe Sundays are free). Now onto the food! I had the Bob o chew steaks which was the regular cheesesteak with peppers and onions and it was delicious! I did feel like it needed a sauce or more cheese so I had ordered some cheez whiz on the side to dip in. My fiancé tried the Ron man which I took a bite of solely to review and I felt like it could've been better - it definitely sounded better than it tasted. It tasted like a fried mix and bread, nothing crazy. The fries are delicious on its own. The loaded fries were good but I think next time we will stick with cheese fries. Our child had the hot dog special and ate it all, so that says it all haha! Overall, good experience and we would come back to try different sandwiches and definitely some fries.
Food was good, service was patient, ambiance was chill. Great place to grab some cheesesteaks and chill with your friends.
I truly was expecting better sangwiches. They weren't bad but can be improved quite a bit. The bread was the worst part. Need to buy from a local bakery. There are so many good ones in Jersey. Bread zero stars. Philly meat had some kind of seasoning it wasn't good. Barely any onions. And the American cheese was cheap. Didn't melt. The chicken parm same w bread zero stars. Breading was like the progression brand style. W same taste smell. Zero stars. Get some panko bread crumbs and use Italian seasoning. Pound the chicken a. It thinner. Onion rings were good. Dipping sauce for rings wasn't good. A weird kind of tang to it. The only thing that was 5 stars was pricing. It isn't expensive. If it was. I'd put one star on review.
This place was good but nothing special. Place was clean and workers were nice and fast. Onions rings were crispy and cooked well. Again this place is good just not sure if drive to try again. Maybe if I was in area I would try again. If you want a decent chessteak it's worth a shot.
I have bookmarked this spot and have been wanting to stop by for some time. Came here on a late Sunday afternoon. There was no line so placed my order after viewing the menu. Ordered the Bob-o cheesesteak with Mac sauce and an order of onion rings. The cheesesteak was ok, was a lil disappointed since I had been eyeing this spot for some time. It could be my fault for having high expectations.. the onion rings tho, that was awesome, really crunchy, big and comes with onion ring sauce. I tried my friends French fries and it was really good as well. Their sides are bomb. They have canned gatorades available (check pics). These might have been THE best onion rings I have ever had. After doing a bunch of yard work, the last thing we wanted to do was cook dinner. So we decided to have a fat day and just order some cheesesteaks. It took maybe half an hour to 45 minutes for our food to arrive. While the onion rings were no longer hot, they were still incredibly crispy. No oil and no sogginess. We didn't finish it but I ate some the next day straight out of the fridge, and somehow, they were STILL crispy. I don't know how they do it but I definitely need me some more of these onion rings again soon. For mains, I decided to go with the classic and had the Bob-O cheesesteak (shaved ribeye, grilled onions, green peppers, and American cheese). Hubby had the Ron Man (shaved ribeye, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, honey mustard, American cheese - but he subbed this for peoperjack). Mine was kind of bland and lackluster, which was disappointing because I figured you can't go wrong with an original. I liked really liked the Ron Man. It reminded me of Rutger's fat sandwiches. Next time, I'll go for a sammie that's a little more exciting.
Yum!! Voted best cheesesteak in Bergen County? Sign me up!! All of the food was made to order and super fresh! The staff was super nice and the food came out quick. I love that they have weekly specials so you can try different flavors-I loved the truffle weekly special and the disco because I loooove disco fries. I loved the vanilla milkshakes too! Bob-O's has street parking and off street parking. Small inside; Maybe 8 chairs total on 1 table and some counter space. Strictly selling cheese steaks and sides which is appreciated as one would tend to think this limited menu would have the food perfected. They have approx 10 versions of cheese steaks but you can build your own. Unfortunately they food is just ok. I had the signature Bob-O's cheese steak. approx 10 inches. Bread was ok. Finally chopped steak, not enough cheese, and definitely bland. NO seasoning They have many cheeses too, but not Cheez Whiz ?? Really? The onion rings were perfection. But $22 for this OK cheese steak, onion rings, and an iced tea??? Sorry, not worth it. No value.
13.99 for build your own cheesesteak on Uber eats. Ordered a steak and chicken . Chicken with provolone, mushrooms peppers and onions. The steak with mozzarella cheese , mushrooms, peppers and onions. The steak was pretty good. But as you can see there was barely any mozzarella cheese, and the other toppings. Voted the Best Cheesesteak in Bergen County according to their website, my partner and I decided to pay a visit to Bob-O's Cheesesteaks, located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, for lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at a simple and clean interior. Lighting is basic and bright with a row of full windows with single seating providing a more spacious feel as well as 4 tables indoors and 5 tables for outdoor dining during pleasant weather. Their big-size menu is featured on the wall with cheesesteaks, egg rolls, sides, and much more. We decided on the Bob-O Sandwich, Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and Onion Rings. Food was prepared fresh per order. The sandwiches were really delicious and served hot. However, the peppers used on the Bob-O killed it. It looked like roasted peppers from the jar were used and not the fresh peppers sautéed with onion. The onion rings were hot, crispy with no oil or sogginess and didn't skimp. The portions were huge, and the price was comparable to the area. Service was fast and friendly. Despite this hiccup, we would give this place another try. read more

Having the appearance of a tuna fish sandwich and topped with raw onions, the taste didn't suit me. I think the onions would have tasted a lot better if they were sautéed. I went to this place because it was recommended to me by a close friend. Sorry to say I was slightly disappointed by the food here. My cheesesteak was actually pretty good, it was super cheesy although too many onions. I did not care for the french fries or the onion rings, they were extremely salty. I've never seen anyone put salt on onion rings before, it was overwhelming. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Our office ordered a bunch of chicken and steak cheesesteaks for everyone. I chose the steak and a friend chose the chicken. They're okay - very cheesy, but kinda bland. Both meats had a weird texture that was off putting. We all had to add hot sauce or ketchup to actually enjoy the sandwich. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. read more

Picked up lunch from Bob-O's Cheesesteaks on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The location kinda reminds me of Five Guys, since it's mostly red, white, and stainless steel. My girlfriend and I placed our orders at the counter and waited in the car. We got the Ron Man and the cheeseburger sliders. The Ron Man is a hefty cheesesteak that also had marinara, mozzarella sticks, and chicken fingers. The sliders had the beef patty, cheese, grilled onions, ketchup, and pickles. Both were greasy and delicious as expected. If you're looking for a healthy meal, find another place cuz the food here is indulgent af. We also got fries, cuz who doesn't like fries with their burgers? They were also pretty good. Prices are a bit higher than I would expect, but it's not a dealbreaker. The cheesesteaks here are delicious! The service was quick and everything was delicious. I'm happy I had the opportunity to pay this spot a visit. The cheesesteaks were cheesy and made to order. Well. I ordered from here two days in a row. If that doesn't tell you how good the food is..well, I don't know then. The fries are THE BEST. SO crunchy and I love their cheese whiz. Cheesesteaks and the Cali = FIRE 10/10 read more

Here's a place where you need to go and sink your teeth into the perfect cheesesteak sandwich. Simplicity is best and nobody does it better. The foundation for the creation is the roll. A soft inner bread that's light and fluffy and a crispy outer crust is the quintessential North Jersey. It's will crackle not crumble, it's a proprietary bun. The onions and peppers are caramelized, this takes time and effort and is a perfect accompaniment to the soft bread and the meaty cheese and best of all the shaved ribeye they is cooked to order with a secret seasoning and just the right amount of juicy deliciousness!!! There's some special secret weaponry here. Somebody in this kitchen really knows the ropes. A warm meaty sandwich double wrapped in wax then foil served like a gift and emblazoned with the signature B logo. Get out to this joint and enjoy a heaping warm comforting filling sandwich. Got the Cali and The Bob-o's s and the Cali was good. But the Bob-o's sandwich was not good at all. We think they put sweet onions in sandwich, and if they do, what a mistake. Will not order that one again. Weird taste. read more
What a tremendous new spot that recently opened in Ridgefield Park. We had seen this place get some buzz on social media so we decided to check it out. It's a small shop, but the colors and kitchen really make it stand out and be unique When it comes to the food, wow, it doesn't miss. The Ron Man was filled with ribeye, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, honey mustard and American cheese. It was an awesome sandwich. Also paired that with some cheese fries that were spot on. Bob greeted us in the store and told us a little about Bob O's journey. We can't wait to visit again to try something else on the menu. read more
