Yeah , I came in for a slice at 3 , and honestly had to come back around 8 because it was that good .

    meat lovers pizza

this spot has become me and my boyfriends favorite pizza spot in the area, we LOVE pizza side!!! the sauce to cheese ratio is perfect, the crust is perfectly crunchy yet soft. the flavors are delicious, we've tried the classic cheese pizza, their margarita pizza, meat lovers, and grandpa detroit style. now every time we order pizza from there, we have a hard time deciding what to get because they're all so good, and there's more to still try!!! the wings are also excellent. i've tried so many pizza joints in the area and pizza side has still reigned on top.

My family LOVES the Detroit style pizza here!!! My personal favorite is the one with the Burrata. I just love burrata. I've also tried the cauliflower crusted one with the pepperoni and jalapenos, again another yummy choice. My kiddos get a small plain pizza and they both like it. They ask if we can order from here about once a week. I have only gotten deliever, but they are located pretty close to my home, and usually arrive in 30 minutes. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try.

It's been a while since I've ordered from here. The food is reliably good and affordable. I had their veggie cauliflower pizza again and k enjoyed it. It's a little on the saucier side but k actually like that it's not too cheesy. It's filling without making you feel sluggish. My husband tried their calzone for the first time. They have a build you own option and there are plenty of choices for toppings. He still loves their garlic knots (though they don't hold up until the next day- they're best eaten fresh). Overall, great neighborhood spot and a really good value.

side of (2) meatballs for $8.95

This is one of my favorite places for Detroit style pizza. I've ordered takeout from here since they opened. While the pizza is great, prices have increased, which is not uncommon. However, it's not worth getting sides. I recently ordered a side of broccoli for $7.95, but there was less than a cup. I ordered a side of meatballs for $8.95, but you only get 2 meatballs, cut in half. I also tried the penne alla vodka - good portion, and very creamy.

Cardboard thin, stiff pizza with hardly any cheese
    Sami S.

Horrible pizza. We've ordered multiple times from this place, but tonight was just utterly disappointing. The pizza was cardboard thin with hardly any cheese and even less taste. The pizza was stiff as a board and inedible. Tasted like I was eating some bland bread. My family each took a bite of their slice and couldn't even finish it. When we called up and ordered for delivery, we asked for it to be "extra hot" but yet it was luke warm upon delivery. When we called up to ask to send for a new pie to be delivered, they told us no and offered us a "generous" 10% off from our next order. Horrible customer service and didn't even try to accommodate us. Will never order from this place again. They just lost a customer.

Over all food was good. We had pizza, calamari, and wings. Wings were nice and big but didn't come with carrots or celery. No complaints but overall little pricy for my taste.

    Veggie pizza, no cheese

I have been ordering from pizza side for a while now, but after nothing but excellent experiences it was time to write a review. I ordered pick up through the Slice app and my order was ready ahead of time. I ordered the phenomenal veggie pizza and since I am vegan, I ordered it without cheese. As always, the pizza crust is crispy and the toppings are beautifully proportioned to my tastes. I do not like too much moisture on top or the crust gets soggy. Their french fries are always spectacular so I ordered some of those as well. I also ordered a chicken Parm in vodka sauce sandwich for a friend, and she is still talking about it today. When I arrived to pick up my food, they ran it out to my car, at their insistence, and went as far as putting it inside the car for me. Not only is their pizza phenomenal but their service is above and beyond incredible. A definite go-to

Does Detroit style pizza live up against other pies in NJ?!?! F' YEAH... this one does - 100%!! THIS PIZZA BLEW MY F'IN MIND - JUST... WOWWW... AMAZINGGGG... OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Even though they have a unique menu of pies and dishes, go for the gold. Detroit's gold- it's something rare around here. In a state full of all kinds of pizza creations this one needs to be put up on that pedestal. Yuppppp, believe it... a SQUARE pizza that's tasty in every way. I was SUPER skeptical on having this style pizza since I was raised on NJ thin crust pies. I have eaten enough pizza from all over to believe I am a great pizza connoisseur, and looking at the pics from Pizza Side I wasn't excited to even try. I spent many months (over a year) driving by this place since it's on my way home from work. Then- the day came, and I caved... High notes: CRUNCH - every bite crunched! Not one soggy / droopy bite. CHEESY - cheese is covered over the dough and on every part inch of the pie. CRISP - when the cheese spills over and creates that burn cheese effect. CUPS - pepperoni cups are amazing. Flavorful and when they burn they taste even more amazing. Not to be forgotten: LIGHT - even though this is deep style square pizza, it was not dense. SAUCE - zesty not overpowering. It's splashed OVER the cheese, not under. The owner here is SUPERRR friendly and will accommodate... very hospitable. If you think it, he will make it. So put this pie on your bucket list and treat yourself to this Detroit pizza in New Jersey.

Roni Bomb (Detroit Style). Look at the little cups of juice
    Chris G.

Im make this easy. Get the Roni Bomb Detroit Style! It's absolute perfection. It's thick with crispy burnt cheese edges and a lot of delicious pepperoni. This is not fancy Neapolitan style, this is real pizza. I'm not sure if I'll try any other pies because I love the Roni Bomb.

I end up hating most of the Pizzas I have delivered but Pizza Slide was a pleasant surprise. Pizza tasted fresh, and even though I was eating a Cheese Pizza, I somehow felt as if I was eating something healthy. The pizza just had a wholesome feel to it. Cauliflower Crust pizza also tasted good. There was a number of interesting options to choose from as well.

Cute box. Fun comments around the perimeter.

Proscuitto burtata (amore) - fresh fresh fresh and quality ingredients. The proscuitto was perfect along with the burrata, arugula and balsamic glaze on ciabatta which was sweet mix. We were deciding on this one and the proscuitto tomato but we are glad we got this one! 2. Chicken caesar salad wrap- I think I could easily say this is the best caesar salad wrap i've had. The dressing was light and not overpowering with the mix of the chicken, croutons and outside wrap was a truly stellar combination. Very fresh and wasnt soggy one bit. the cookies: small black n white cookie, rainbow cookie and chocolate sprinkle and all were hits! my favorite was the black n white because the icing melts right off the soft cookie texture and tastes more like a cake than a cookie. Walking in, there is a decent amount of seating and you can see them making the food fresh in front of you. I do like how small the menu is - small menu generally menus fresher food. I wish they gave me a heads up about how spicy the sauce would be - my mouth was legit on fire. Food wise - I didn't love the portion sizes, I was definitely hungry after it was over and felt the texture of the pasta was softer than I'd like - probably because it's fresh.
