Arancini and pasta
Emily A.

Visited 2/23/26. Okay first off the good things: the lunch special price (very solid deal), the spinach Alfredo noodles (definitely preferred these in my sister's meal to the standard fettuccine solely because they were more al dente texture). We started off with arancini and these were solid; a decent shareable. For lunch I got the fettuccine with the mushroom sauce. Wasn't my favorite of the selections and some I liked better than others. Not a crazy amount of seat options so be prepared for that before coming. Overall it was a solid place but nothing about it "blew me away." Nice stop-in lunch spot if you live nearby!

I did a food review here and when I say I was impressed I loved everything about this place. Let's start with how they're pulling the pasta right in front of you to go in the back and cook it fresh to every order. Next the price is great with everything bowl starting at 10$ and adding more to it depending on what u want which is great for nyc. The garlic shrimp was on point. The service was quick and efficient and they were super friendly making sure I got all the help I needed. The strawberry lemonade is also really good nice and fresh not artificial flavoring.

Fettuccine Alfredo Yummy Classic

The pasta and alfredo were amazing and in perfect proportion. The sauces were good. I liked the yummy classic sauce better than the arrabiata (which didn't taste like much but spicy), but I could taste really the ingredients that were supposed to be in it (e.g. eggplant, walnuts). It's a small place and was pretty crowded on a Wednesday at 9:30 PM (maybe others had the same post-show dinner idea as us?). We had two bar seats at first but were able to migrate to a table that opened up while waiting for our food. The wait is a bit longer than you'd expect for a fast casual place, but I assume that's because the pasta is being cooked fresh. There's also both bathroom.

This spot specializes in Reggiano Parmigiano cheese wheel pasta, and you can dine in or take out. There's a moderate amount of seating, and many people choose to eat in so they can watch the process. I ordered the plain fettuccine Alfredo with added mushroom sauce. The portion was very generous--I couldn't finish it in one sitting and ended up enjoying it over three days. The pasta was fresh and perfectly al dente, the mushrooms were sautéed to perfection, and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. I added some fresh cracked pepper, which gave it a cacio e pepe feel. My only critique is that the cheese sauce wasn't as sharp or rich in umami as I usually like. The chef did sprinkle some sharp grated cheese on top, which helped balance it out. One of the highlights was watching the staff make fresh pasta and toss it in the giant wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano--it made the whole experience fun and unique. Service was excellent, and I'm already planning to come back.

I'm so glad the pasta tossed in a parmesan wheel trend is taking off. I'm not sure how much cheese actually rubs off, but they add enough by hand anyway. At $9.90, it's a much better deal than paying like triple that at Eataly. Fettuccine Alfredo: This is why you come here. They're making the pasta fresh in the window and it's texture is quite fresh. Cooked in a pan to order with ample amounts of cream and cheese. And then tossed in front of you in that parmesan wheel for more flair and more cheese. The toppings and mix-ins aren't really needed since this is so amazing by itself. Meatball Napolitano: Got these as a side, so not to corrupt the pasta. They were alright. Kinda reminded me of frozen squeaky meatballs more than the crumbly meatballs made by a nonna. Bolognese: Seemed more like marinara with some ground meat than traditional Bolognese. Not worth detracting from the alfredo flavor. Strawberry Lemonade: Fresh and tart. A very nice pairing to the creamy and rich pasta.

Wow! I did not expect $10 pasta to taste this good. I got the $2 truffle oil add on and it was truly elite. Wait time is a little long but the staff very helpful and nice. Wheelchair accessible enough: the ramp is kind of ratchet but it's there and the staff are super nice about holding the door.

This place was great! There is a man in the front window as soon as you walk in making and cutting fresh pasta dough and walks it to the back of the restaurant to drop it in boiling water where its then put into a huge parmesan wheel to make their basic alfredo sauce. I ordered the alfredo with bolognese and extra parm on top. I watched them cook it and put the sauce on top. It's plenty of pasta in the paper bowl and it was perfectly cooked. I loved it and definitely will come back.

Fettuccine Alfredo- $9.90

I don't know...I had a really great experience and honestly thought the pasta was fantastic. I opted for the classic fettuccine because I usually like simple, clean tasting pasta as opposed to more complex ones. With that being said, I did add the truffle because I love truffle lol. My total with tip came out to 13.90 which, for fresh, handmade pasta is such a great deal. As for taste and portion, it was fantastic! The pasta was so fresh tasting, the parmesan really shines through, the truffle oil was noticeable without being overpowering and the portion was great! It's a good amount of pasta. I would say this is highly comparable to the cheese wheel pasta at Bryant Park and honestly was probably better because of how fresh everything tasted. The service was also awesome- everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I'm genuinely confused by other reviews and hope that doesn't deter others from trying because I think it's great!

The pasta was deliziosa! It took about 15 minutes to get my pasta, but the wait was worth it. They mix the pasta with the cheese right in front of you, which was a cool experience as I never seen that done before. You can fully customize your dish, choose your sauce and all the add-ins you want in it. The space is a good size, perfect for coming with friends or family, or alone as I did. I loved the décor which shows a beautiful pasta-themed artwork and paintings. I recommend if you are around 9th ave and you looking for a filling lunch or dinner.

Fettuccine Alfredo
Bruce H.

I had the Fettuccine Alfredo made with delicious freshly made pasta tossed inside a wheel of aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. If you don't like that, you need your head checked! I had meatballs added for a little extra protein, though totally unnecessary. In any case, they were delicious, too. I was told they are made from a combination of beef and chicken...unusual but delicious, nonetheless. To me, it almost seemed like the taste of veal, but I was told otherwise. I had it to-go, and they packed it up nicely. The wooden spoons are a nice touch. Portions are generous. This is a very rich and filling meal. Highly recommended.

Awesome place to grab a quick bite. Loved how day toss the pasta in the cheese wheel. Service was fast and the staff looked happy.

Hand made noodles and homemade sauces every single day, fresh ingredients and lots of delectable options. The service is always good the cashier is usually a sweet Italian man and they sell Italian sodas and candies in the front as well. I love the way the shop looks it's completely PINK and plush. I will always recommend Pastagasm to others and will always order when I'm in the area

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give this place another try on another day..

The…read morehostess today was extremely disorganized and seemed lost or confused - she didn't take anyone's names down for a waitlist and just kept leaving to wander around the restaurant (presumably looking for open seats). I watched 3 separate groups of people leave while waiting for her, and she barely offered any updates on the wait time. After 15 minutes she asked us again how many people were in our group as if she had forgotten we were already waiting at the entrance. Once we were seated and looking at the menu, they brought us a single piece of cold bread. All the reviews about the undercooked pasta were true, I ordered the La Devozione (the tomato sauce spaghetti) and the pasta was almost crunchy because of how undercooked it was. The sauce was also incredibly greasy/oily, like the equivalent of an entire Costco pizza amount of neon orange oil. For $33, I am appalled at the quality of this dish. When our waiter brought the check, he hovered over our shoulders and watched as we entered the amount we tipped. He wasn't happy with what he saw and just rudely tossed the card back onto the table at us. For a place that advertises itself as high quality Italian, it's actually just sickening.
