Ate Prestos pizza for 15 years. But since he sold it to the new owner, it has been on a steady decline. Recently that decline is not straight down. Had a simple cheese pizza, same as I've always ordered. It really was t even pizza. It was dough with an eyedropper full of sauce, and piles of mozzarella cheese. It was literally disgusting. Prestos went from a famous Jersey pizza place on the corner to this. Threw most of it out. I'm super sad, used to love the pizza there. The owner should have made the new owners rename it. This lil pizzeria was recommended to us by our air bnb host! Walking distance from our stay and absolutely delish! I got the pepperoni my dad got the margherita, my mom got the bacon rio! We love this spot! Friendly service, good large slices. A bit pricey but it's worth it. It's more of a pick up and go or have delivered spot. They have a few seats and tables but the doors are open at all times. If the weathers nice it's a good spot to stay and eat, if the weathers bad, I'd order for pick up or delivery. Just know parking around here sucks so if you're picking up, make sure you have an extra person to wait in the car while u go grab it. read more

We loved this place that we went twice in a week...! This is a family owned restaurant with good Italian food. I tried the chicken fingers with honey mustard sauce, garlic bread with cheese, fries, penne alla vodka. Liked all of them. However, I wasn't a fan of chicken rigatoni. Located on the corner of 60th and Park Ave, my sister and I had the pleasure of trying the margarita and buffalo slices and they were truly delightful. Old review got deleted don't know how because past pictures are still there, but decided to try prestos again during this quarantine and was pleasantly surprised. The food came in a timely manner (even though I live like down the block lol), food was still hot, left it hanging on door instead of the floor for no contact (much appreciated!) The pizza slice was delicious and pretty big. So much flavor I didn't even need to add any of the spices I usually add to pizza. The penne allá vodka lunch size was also really yummy. I added grilled chicken to my order. I like that they add a lot of sauce, hate when pasta comes dry. The lunch size is still pretty big which was also good for the price with a nice piece of bread on the side. The sauce is the perfect balance of tomato and cream, one of my new fav places to order penne alla vodka from now on! read more

This place is terrible. I asked for a pepperoni slice and they said they would make a new fresh pie. Instead, they added pepperoni to a cold cheese slice and warmed it up. The food is delicious but they might not send it to you. We have ordered there through Seemless a few times this month and enjoyed the food. Tonight when I ordered my delivery was canceled. So I called to see what the problem was. I was told that since they were busy, they wouldn't deliver to my address because it was too far away. And that the only reason they've done it in the past is because they had other deliveries in my direction. Not a good way to do business. Either make the delivery radius smaller or have more staff on hand to fulfill orders. Don't make it seem like you've been doing me a favor by sending me food. read more

Ok, so you're on death row and your time has come. They ask you what you want for your last meal, but they stipulate it has to be pizza. In this situation I would order Presto's Avishai Special small pie (4 good size slices): fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, fresh garlic, ricotta, basil. Tastes amazing. It is a relatively simple combination, but they use good quality mozzarella and ricotta, and the garlic nocks the whole thing out of the park. Another favorite is their Puttanesca pie: tomatoes, olives, capers, artichokes, mozzarella. If you like capers, you'll love this pie. Overall, the negative reviews regarding delivery are spot-on, they take FOREVER. And it does come cold sometimes. But the quality of the pizza, specifically the two I mentioned, is amazing. My man likes the Presto's burger . I have ordered pasta more frequently than I care to admit; sometimes it was good, and sometimes it wasn't prepared very well. I often times was able to order my own custom pasta dishes, which I always appreciated the staffs' complying with my requests. They can be a little gruff over the phone, but if you pick up the order they are always nice in person. read more

We got carry-out, and everything from the service, timing, price, and freshness/taste of the pizza were great. They were able to do a large half/half pizza of Avishai and plain for a reasonable price. The man who took our order was very friendly and polite. Our carry-out order was ready in less than 20 minutes. When we brought the pizza home, it was still hot enough to eat and tasted like it was just made. Try the Avishai if you're someone who likes margherita pizza with a little extra. We also got garlic bread with cheese, which was seasoned wonderfully and had a generous amount of cheese. I could not rave enough about this new find of mine. I called tonight to order a veal dish and the owner called me to tell me they were out of veal so I ordered a chicken dish and a few other things for my family. The owner could not have been nicer and when my order came, I had to call the owner back. The food was unbelievably good. By far the best Italian in this neighborhood and the owner was such a down to Earth, genuine person. He called me by my name and treated me like family and small things like that are lost these days with everyone being an "internet expert". I rarely give reviews but this was such a great experience. It is hard to explain in words. One just has to eat it in order to know what i am talking about. I order delivery from them religiously, and as often as i can. Today I had the worst experience . I gave them a second chance after I waited last time to get a regular slice for 20 mins . The answer from the owner who ignores you and made racist remarks and then hits you with a welcoming fake "papi". He didn't ask anybody for an ID , but asked my friend who was darker complexion . The second thing is worst ... the guy who handles the pizza goes smoking outside all the time and touches everybody's pizza. The pizza is overpriced and the quality not the best. Presto, Just a word of advice - please don't tell a hungry group of gals that "it'll be about 10 minutes..." when you don't really mean it. The adorable guy behind the counter said he'd have our pie ready in about 10 and it was definitely more like 20. BUT I'll forgive you because your pizza was pretty darn good. Specifically - that Lasagna Pizza (modified version with meatballs instead of ground beef). Yum and yum! I had two delicious Lasagna slices and couldn't have been happier. I like that the crust is a bit thicker than many of the NYC pizza shops I am usually ordering from. It's nice to have a thicker crust that's able to hold on to the sweet sauce, creamy ricotta cheese and tender meatballs. And I don't know how you you did it but after those slices I felt happy and full but not super stuffed. Bravo Presto! Looking forward to another pie from your West NY location again soon. Mediocre pizza at best. A bit cheap with the cheese and the tomato sauce tastes just like domino's- so if youre into that- you may like it. This is definitely one of those neighborhood classics. I went to grammar school around this area and I still find myself going back for a slice when I'm around. Last year my college son and I got a couple slices and sodas while squeezed inside the little and charming old school eating area. Very nice. Coming from northern NJ I craved a fried eggplant parmigiana but had trouble finding one out here in Weehawken. Finally saw it on Presto's menu. Ordered mine over spaghetti. Also ordered a seafood salad which I had once previously. I just finished my second meal tonight and have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Two little recommendations. More sauce on the eggplant and pasta. Use a full flavored virgin olive oil on the seafood salad, because the perfectly cooked calamari, shrimp, mussels and chopped salad deserve it! One of the best pizza's anywhere. I have a special place in my heart for this place. Not only did I grow up on their slices before moving to Miami (since the 70's), but so did my aunt's when they first came to the US during their high school years. This place is a few blocks from our old family bakery and was my treat for a job well done while helping my family. Truthfully, if I had been a bit mischievous, I was stilling getting a slice from Presto's...There are at least 20 different pizza joints between where we lived near Blvd east and 47th and the bakery on 65th and Hudson. If you go as far inland as Bergenline, that's a large area full of pizza joints. Throw in the fact that NYC is across the river full of them and you can easily compare them to Presto's and always come up with Presto's as the better slice. I have had a few other items on their menu over the years and whenever I've visited the city. But I tend to grab slices overall. I'd recommend it as a must try pizza spot if you happen to be in the city or are visiting the area. read more
