This place is a GEM!!! We saw it on our way to another spot and had to stop. It smelled so good and the atmosphere was perfect. Moody Low lighting, with the flames of the over lighting up the back of the restaurant. The bread they give you as a starter is already amazing! Baked fresh you see the server cut it up right before serving it to you. The pizza itself was literally perfection. The taste was perfectly balanced between the cheese and the prosciutto. The truffles oil was just enough to coat your mouth but not over power. I'm still dreaming about this pizza!!!! The servers are very nice and even though we stayed till close we didn't feel rushed at all. We actually had to ask for the check. Felt just like being in Europe. The food was good and the rating would have been higher but my rating is low because the operators apparently allow people to bring in their dogs and have a sit down dinner. I usually do not like to potentially have a side of dog hair with the meal I ordered just before this person entered. In most places this is not allowed unless it is a guide dog which this mutt was not. I will not go back until I see a sign prohibiting people from dining and bringing their pets in with them! read more

So let me say , this place could have easily received a 5 star review if it wasn't for the aggressive and cranky bartender. Let's start with the positives. The ambiance is so cozy, rustic and warm (unlike the service). It's dining room is so appealing and would make the perfect location for any date night, girls night or in our case...just a last minute hang out. The wine list is expansive but seems to be curated just right for the right flavor profiles to pair with their dishes. I devoured their pillow soft bread which had me addicted. We ordered the meatballs which were good, the three cheese pizza and the octopus. I really enjoyed the octopus although it received mixed reviews regarding the texture at our table. Nonetheless , the pairing of the arugula salad underneath was great. Now the bartender was so very rude. When asked about what wines she recommends, she seemed upset and told us she doesn't know cause everyone has different tastes. Her responses and attitude the whole evening definitely rubbed us the wrong way. The sexual tension in this place is through the roof, come here and watch the servers massage each other and also try this awesome wine I saw on the menu...a sparkling red! Amazing. My husband said "figure out what you want for 'girl-dinner' today before errands" and to be honest I wanted bread and wine so I picked Aumm Aumm since it's in the neighborhood and we love it. We had only tried pizza takeout before this but eating in is waaaay better. I wanted something spicy so I got the diavolina pie and they let me sprinkle extra red pepper flakes to my heart's content. This pizza was incredible, 10/10...wish I could say the same for the lasagna. Heartbreakingly dry and lackluster but it was a shot and my husband (who ordered it) felt adventurous I guess. Lasagna is tricky when dining out, it's typically hit or miss and we knew that coming in BUT no worries, overall it was a great experience. We finished our meal with cannoli, apparently the shells are imported from Sicily??? Cuomo's down the block has better cannoli but these were not bad. Does anyone else eat the mint garnish on a dessert plate? It's my favorite, I think it really elevates the sweet flavor. Came here on a Friday night and it was PACKED. The space is small so we were seated at the bar. For a restaurant in North Bergen, New Jersey, this is a really tight space imo. Nonetheless, I can understand why it's packed. They have a wide selection of wine and spirits. And from what I heard from fellow diners who ordered alcohol, they have a fine wine selection. Service was surprisingly fast, and food was good. We've been here before and we love their pasta and pizza. The best around the neighborhood in my opinion. I was also pleasantly surprised that they have grilled octopus in their menu. It came with an arugula salad to complete the fleshy texture of the octopus. My review is based on takeout only of the Four Season personal sized pizza. I ordered on the phone and picked up in 10 min. The personal pizza was larger than I expected which was great since I polished the rest of it off at dinner time! Each section was delicious .... eggplant, mushroom, ham and sopressata. Highly recommend if you like a thin crust with a chewy outer crust. Very flavorful and a little addicting. During the pandemic, they're offering 15% off but not sure if it's just for lunch. We visited Aumm Aumm on a Friday on January 31st, the one in North Bergen - not the one in Englewood. A very cozy restaurant with great pizza selection and wine. We ordered : 1) Pizza - Capricciosa ($16) : Prosciutto cotto (ham - not the prosciutto slice), olives, artichoke, mushroom, & fresh mozzarella. The pizza was divine !!!!!! Made me feel as if in Italy. A thin & chewy dough with enough saltiness. Still good whether hot or cold. 2) Pasta - Orrechiette alla Pugliese ($18) : Sweet Italian sausage & broccoli rabe. This is a combination that cannot fail ^^ Perfectly "al dente" and a simple dish with no sauce. Delicious enough with simple olive oil. Service of a young dude I received here was poor as I explained to him ordered ahead and nothing ready for me upon arrival, rewarding me with an OVER PRICE PIZZA PIE after. Our server Danny, was super friendly and attentive from the minute we got there until the end. We didn't make reservations ( not sure if they even take any) waited about 10 minutes on a Friday night which was not bad at all, I noticed a lot of people also place take out orders and they deliver nearby. The establishment is small but a gem. As soon as you walk in you feel like you're in a great little Italian restaurant in NYC. They have a few tables outside with the heated lamps but it was way too cold for that so we definitely got lucky. For wine we went with their Ambrosio Italian wine, a perfect red wine between dry & sweet. We decided to share the grilled octopus & skirt steak (DELICIOUS) and for dessert the Panna cotta. Everything was really, really good. You can tell the they put serious effort in making sure your meal is fresh, authentic and delicious. I am blaming my review on the fact that it was a Monday evening in the dead of winter, but still, I was not impressed. I will start off by saying, I had some pretty high expectations based on previous Yelp reviews, and upon entering I really did love the ambiance. Other than that, it pretty much went downhill. The waiter came over and told us where could sit wherever we wanted. Big mistake sitting near the door when it was freezing cold out. Anyway, a few minutes later he came by with menus and went over the specials of the evening. I was utterly convinced he had no idea what half of them were, but neither here nor there. I asked him again about the pasta special and his response was 'I never had it'. I said, well what are you thoughts on it? He said, I'm not sure, maybe go with the regular menu item. That's so frustrating! I will admit, I am a total self proclaimed 'foodie' so I asked a lot of questions...I can't help it! With a saving grace, I will say, they did bring over some delicious warm bread and olive oil while we were waiting which was really tasty. For appetizers we ordered the eggplant Parmesan and some grilled calamari. I wasn't impressed with the eggplant Parmesan to be honest. The eggplant was really stringy and the sauce was bland and watery. The grilled calamari was decent. It came with one massive piece of grilled calamari and a nice side salad with green olives on the side in a tasty dijon mustard dressing. Now here's where I started to get annoyed. We waited a good 15-20 minutes for the appetizers, and as soon as we were done with the apps, they took them away and immediately brought over the pizza and pasta we ordered. UGH. Gimme 5 minutes to digest! For mains, we split a pizza napoli which consisted of tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, black olives and anchovies. I'm not blaming the kitchen on this one, but I wasn't a fan. The anchovies were super salty and therefore the pizza was incredibly salty and funny tasting. We also ordered the "pacchero di mare" pasta, which came with spaghetti pasta, baby clams, shrimp, octopus, calamari, and cherry tomatoes. The waiter made such a big deal out of the fact that there were cherry tomatoes on the pasta and that it might turn the pasta pink (I didn't notice this at all). I found the dish to be pretty bland overall. I wasn't really impressed. When we were done, we asked if we could have the pizza to go and they completely forgot. Neither here nor there, I didn't care all that much. In any case, we also ordered the tiramisu which was really a plate of whipped cream with a dash of desert. (Dessert menu was competently unimpressive in general). Aside from the 10lbs of whipped cream, the desert itself was okay. It certainly wasn't homemade. The ambiance was really cute, definitely had a west village like theme and the bathroom had this adorable 'wine theme' to it, but there's only one bathroom for the whole restaurant and I ended up waiting outside the bathroom for 10 minutes while the staff pushed past me to get to the kitchen. Not my ideal situation. The idea is there, but the execution is not. My personal opinion. read more

Lovely and cozy place that knows how to select very good wines. I've been coming to this restaurant since they opened. Presently, the taste of the food has changed. The last time I visited was for brunch. I ordered a salad , Margherita pie and the Scialatelli Frutti Di Mare. I must say, I was a little disappointed. The food wasn't as tasty as before. It was not busy to say it was because they were overwhelmed. The young manager or waiter is a fan of Juventus and yelled every score the team made that day. He apologized. Nothing wrong with that, but made me think if this is why the food did not taste as napolitana as it should? I want to go back at night to give it another shot. After stopping here because I had this place bookmarked for a while and waiting until I was in the area to stop by, I finally had the chance to try Aumm Aumm out. Walking in it seemed to look more like a pizzeria spot which was a bit deceiving but when you see that wood fire oven at work in the corner you can't help but become intrigued. Nice sized bar and large wine selection. We were asked if we were going to order food so we were then given a small bread basket that was basically the same consistency of their pizza dough so it was delicious with their evoo! We ordered the popular meatballs in gravy which was so tender and flavorful. We really enjoyed dipping the bread into the gravy. We also ordered a marg pie along with the bolognese pasta. Everything was exceptional including our red wine which I can't remember the name of for the life of me right now. What is awesome is ALL of their wine is from the Italy region. Servers and bartenders are quite knowledgeable if you have any questions regarding the wine. My only gripe is their prices are definitely upwards of NY prices which isn't a problem but considering this place isn't in NY and is actually in a residential area doesn't make sense how they came up with the prices.
