Located on Kennedy Blvd between 62nd and 63rd this Pizza shop this pizza shop delivers literally and figuratively. Stopped by while in Jersey to visit family and it did not disappoint. Staff were super friendly. They even ask how you want it done to add the extra level of service. The have tables inside and the shop has separate dining areas in case you wanna be more private or be up with the register. As for the pie, it was the perfect NY style, foldable and no flop. So it does live up to its name. Good crisp underneath. We ordered an extra large and every slice was again perfect. When in the area I definitely recommend Perfect Pizza. read more

Was working in Jersey for a few days and this place was recommended. We found quick street parking across the street and thankfully didn't have to pay but usually it's paid street parking. Inside was pretty quiet when we arrived. Our order got taken quickly and food came out quick and hot. Pizza was delicious. Big, thin cheese slices with gooey cheese . Grew up going here. Not only is the pizza great they have the first cheesesteak calzone and the first cheesesteak Stromboli. Both are unbelievably great. Unlike most pizzerias this place makes everything when you ask for it. So if you want a calzone. It is Made when ordered not reheated off the counter from the morning. Also the pizza is amazing. A hidden gem in North Bergen, NJ! We heard Dave Portnoy from OneBite reviewed this place so we had to give it a try ourselves. This place was cute and small and the two guys working that day were just so nice. They made us feel like home. We came from out of town so we took the bus from the airport straight here! Definitely a nice lunch spot if you want to spend little to nothing for one of the best quality foods I've had. This by far blew my expectations out the park because this is by far the best pizza I've had. It has that nice New York style crust, super thin and charred with no flop. The pizza and hoagie is made to order so it comes out hot and fresh. This will be a spot I will always come visit every time we come to NJ to visit family! Just in LOVE with the pizza here! Came here after watching a David Portnoy review on Youtube. The pizza is spot on with the review. Blistery crunchy crust, sauce is light and flavorful, buttery cheese that you can smell from across the room. Typically I don't eat the whole crust, but its so good I had to finish it. The flavor of the crust is better than other pizza places and has a bit of a nutty toasty flavor. If the crust is a bit thinner and crunchier it would be absolutely perfect. read more

Summary: pizza that reminds me of what pizza used to taste like when I was a little kid Growing up, pizza was always a special treat. I remember my mom taking me to Ginos in Jersey City Heights and how the pizza had a special taste to it. Present day, I still love pizza, but I struggle to find any place that evokes the memories of pizza I had as a kid. Even my current favorites - including the aforementioned Ginos - don't really taste how I remember pizza tasting back then. A few months ago, a friend introduced me to the youtube channel of Dave Portnoy at Barstool sports. He reviews different pizzerias all over the US (one bite everyone knows the rules) and assigns a score from 1 to 10. During one such video review, he stumbled upon Perfect Pizza and gave them an unusually high score. This piqued my interest so I went to scope it out for myself. Very old school type feel, and friendly people behind the counter. I ordered two slices and sat down, not expecting this to live up to the hype. Instead, I felt as if I had a flashback to a pizza outing as a 6 year old. The smell, taste, texture...it's hard to put into words how I felt at that moment. But it was real. I ate my slices in stunned silence and eventually ordered one more. I will definitely go back, and I doubt my next slices will be as good as my first ones here. But nothing can take away that fleeting moment that transported me back to a much simpler time in my life, and for that I'm eternally grateful. read more

Dave Portnoy's review is spot on with an 8.5, this place has become my go to place for classic pizza. The one thing he doesn't mention is the prices, they are from 1982. $7.50 for a small pie and the pizza box had vents in the top...pro move. I ask for a well done cheese and as Dave mentions, it is like Regina's (in Boston). Regina's brings back fond memories of my family trips to Boston as a kid. If I was good, I'd get Regina's and I don't remember wanting anything else! The inside of the place is pretty modest but the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Ignore the weird name, weird location, this place is the real deal. The location has plenty of street parking. Watch the light in front of the restaurant, especially if you are crossing the street. My gut tells me this particular intersection is dangerous. Please give them a try, they deserve our business during this crazy pandemic. It is a fiesta of the senses! read more

Holy cow! I saw this featured on barstool and it received an 8.5, so I figured I'd have to try it out tonight. There really isn't a good place for pizza anywhere over here with certain exceptions. This pizza is P E R F E C T in every aspect. Sauce, cheese, crust, everything just amazing! It's just doughy enough while still having a crisp to it. It's not loaded with salt lien every other pizza spot around here. I will go to say this is the best in the area without a doubt, maybe even reaching further than that. Inside is very old school which I love. And the price for a xl pizza is only 15!!! I cannot wait to make this my go to for pizza!!!
