Literally soooooo much for prices that just don't make sense in 2025 ... and that's in a good way bc things are just so CHEAP! I got my sandwich, a bag of fresh cookies, praline pecans and lemon ginger cherries and a container of rainbow cherry tomatoes for $17 .... Like where am I????? Avoid this place at all costs. Do you want to know how the keep their prices so low? Everything is stale and spoiled. I bought a number of items here today and the butter cookies were hard as a rock and the cheese inedible. Nothing looks appetizing in the store and it smells like a hospital inside. The only word I have to describe the staff was...weird. I felt like I was being monitored the entire time I was in there. This place is the crème de la crème of Italian stores in NJ. I have not found one quite affordable and wide in selection as this place. Probably the biggest too. The lady behind the cheese counter is one of the friendliest and most helpful people I've met in a food store. I used to use Jerry's years ago as my primary catering vendor for a former employer. Years later I decided to try Jerry's again for a catering event for work. I ordered wraps, salad, desserts, meatballs and pasta. The meatballs were OK. The salad was Meh and same for the pasta. The wraps were absolutely horrible! They were dry! They were hard! They tasted like cardboard is what a few of my employees stated! I was shocked and embarrassed! Never again! Never again! Oh and they also showed up 45 minutes early for delivery! There is nothing not to like about Jerry's! This market has things that you didn't think you would need. I love the deli, all of the premade food, as well as ALL the samples of various cheeses. They also have an additional space in the back with a bakery and they sell special sauces, pastas, and etc. My go-to is their cookie platters- reasonably priced for a nice portion. Weekends are rather busy, those people who are "in the know" call ahead to secure all of their favourite prepared foods (octopus, cutlets, the orzo salad, the salmon...), I learned this by listen to two people fight over the last of the octopus at 10:30am. Be careful with some of the workers. Most are willing to help but others will try all kinds of sales pitching. I was harassed by the cheese girl with flowery compliments that supposedly was said by the wine guy. I was headed for the wine section and the man there was very respectful and had much appreciated wine knowledge. Please save the sales talk for the car dealers! I have been going to this store for over 25 years. Today was a horrific experience while checking out. The cashier was rude and disrespectful. Initially disregarding when I spoke, ringing the order incorrectly, $202.00 total when re-done $125.00 and talking at me e.g "I have been doing this too long to put up with people", "I knew we would get one like you in here today", "Take all your stuff out of the bag if you want me to re-ring the order." "Don't talk to the other cashier and ask for a manger, I AM THE MANAGER." It was devastating to see how she has such disrespect for customer service. All of this went on with 3 other cashiers present and a very long line of people behind and aside me. Yes I answered her back and yes I told her to " SHUT UP" after she berated me. I know several workers there and Michelli from wines was near the register for pricing and heard this. He began apologizing to me and asking her to stop. She could not shut her evil, rude, disrespectful mouth. She is 1 of 3 daughters and then there is Jerry. She is a manager so clearly no one will address her behavior or lack of respect for customers. Clearly if I had more time and was not having people to my house that evening I would have left my things. Aside from her behavior her disregard for the money being spent, the patronage and the reputation Jerry had created for his business. Sadly I will never return to the store after more than 25 years and I know that the business will thrive I am just hoping someone reads this, tells another and so on and people reconsider where they spend their money since someone like her is benefiting. read more

Beware if you leave a item that you purchased and go back to retrieve it, even after calling them to tell them I was coming back, they did not honor it and treated me in a disgusting manor. I have been coming here for over twenty years and have never been treated so badly before by any merchant.
