I'll start right out by saying this is an old school Italian deli / store and everything about it contributes to the feel ... it's kinda like stepping back in time. Now that that's out the way, OMG THIS PLACE IS SO GREAT! I didn't know what to expect other than really stuffed sandwiches for crazy low prices (according to what my coworkers told me) and I absolutely got just that (massive turkey and cheese sandwich on fresh ciabatta for $8.99) plus an unexpected crazy array of cheeses, meats, prepared foods, wine, snacks, olives, pastas .... Literally soooooo much for prices that just don't make sense in 2025 ... and that's in a good way bc things are just so CHEAP! I got my sandwich, a bag of fresh cookies, praline pecans and lemon ginger cherries and a container of rainbow cherry tomatoes for $17 .... Like where am I????? Oh and the service at the counter is IMPECCABLE! The guys are friendly and treat your orders with such care! I am honestly going to be back here once a week to shop and to grab a sandwich because it's the best deal in town (oh and the sandwich was DELISH)!

Jerry's is our family's go-to place for Italian products, spirits, and a wide selection of cheeses from around the world! (Great Prices too!) The friendly staff always make it a pleasure to shop there. The vibe is very old-school Italian mini market. I always stop by when I'm in the area.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Tons of imported goods. They have premade fresh items. Prices are reasonable. Some items are even cheaper than chain grocers. They have specials, pastries, homemade pasta, hot and cold sandwiches, hot and cold meals, deli items, cheeses, cookies, desserts, meats, yogurts, milks, produce, anything you could need. Love it here!

OMG. This place is amazing! There used to be a huge variety of items. It's so hard to decide! Everyone is so helpful but I have to give a special shout out to Denise. She went above and beyond to help me. I needed to make a charcuterie platter for 50 people and I was unsure of what to get. We really connected and Had a great conversation. She even asked to see photos of the final product. The customer service, selection of gourmet products and cheeses, the prices, are all top notch! Rub don't walk to Jerry's!

Jerry's Gourmet is an absolute treasure trove for anyone seeking the true essence of Italian cuisine. This establishment is a culinary haven, offering a wide array of authentic Italian food products that will transport your taste buds straight to Italy. From daily homemade Italian dishes to the mouthwatering eggplant rollotini in their incredible sauce, Jerry's Gourmet takes pride in crafting dishes that reflect the heart of Italian cooking. Their selection of Italian Durum Wheat pastas, olive oils, and homemade pastries and cakes is simply delightful. What sets Jerry's Gourmet apart is their dedication to quality. With a commitment to all-natural, non-GMO ingredients in their sandwiches and a cheese selection that defies description, it's a food lover's dream come true. And let's not forget their extensive wine inventory, which is a testament to their passion for all things Italian. The customer service is exemplary, and the cleanliness and organization of the place make for a pleasant shopping experience. With a spacious parking lot, it's convenient too. If you're in search of the finest Italian culinary delights, Jerry's Gourmet is the place to be. It's a culinary gem that consistently delivers a taste of Italy right here at home. It's my first stop every time I visit the East Coast, hope you join me in this adventure of love of Italian cuisine, that I love so much!!!

This place is the crème de la crème of Italian stores in NJ. I have not found one quite affordable and wide in selection as this place. Probably the biggest too. The lady behind the cheese counter is one of the friendliest and most helpful people I've met in a food store. She always knows what cheese works for what occasion and what kind of wine to pair it with. Suffice it to say, she is awesome. I bought 5 things here from the shelves and it came out to $15. That would never have happened at Acme or Shoprite, or even Trader Joe's. Go here, you won't regret it.

Ask the Community - Jerry's Gourmet

    Do they provide bags?

No - you have to bring your own, or they do sell very chic canvas totes that you can purchase onsite for your groceries that aren't expensive.

    What time you close sat?

due to the situation with Covid-19, we are currently closing at 5PM every evening and are closed on Sundays for the time being.

    Do they have mini pastries?

Yes, in the back there is a bakery section

Do you guys carry buffalo mozzarella?

    Yes we do!

How do I go about heating food if I don't own a microwave? Are there instructions for ovens? My concern is the pasta dishes drying out? Or do I have to use a stove top method?

I think it all depends on what you get. The easiest answer is to transfer things to an oven safe dish, cover it in foil and go low slow. Overheating leads to items being dried out and just yucky.

Everything felt thoughtfully curated, and you could tell a lot of care goes into their selections. Most recently, after their move to Hackensack, we ordered a charcuterie wreath, and it was absolutely stunning. The presentation was beautiful, but the quality and flavor truly made it memorable. And unfortunately, because of the chaos of event planning at home no picture was taken to capture it. The way it was devoured... we honestly have no words. Everything was gone within minutes, which says it all. From the visual detail to the taste, every element felt intentionally and beautifully put together. I'm used to getting ravioli from an Italian Superstore that's dotted across Long Island. Good? Yeah maybe but what I grew up with? Nah. I'm in The Bronx and I'm going to stop at Borgatti's Ravioli for our Sunday dinner. Walking into the store, it's very small. There are high glass partitions, no touching just pointing. I see the various pastas and ravioli but I want the big suckas. Small ravioli? C'Mon! I made the best red sauce that I will drown these raviolis in a sea of tomatoes. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! When I came home, my wife made the perfect Sunday dinner. Those raviolis came straight from the 70s. Simply perfect. God Bless us, everyone.
