The service is always fast and they are super efficient. Don't forget this place also serves as a mini mart / convenience store and so they have alcohol, basic foods like frozen meals and rice. My husband and I came here to get sandwiches for lunch. He ordered a cheese steak with a side of onion rings. The sandwich is $9.99 and onion rings $4.99. The order of onion rings consisted of six. For $9.99 he got a cheese steak flavored Italian roll. There was so little steak on the bread. Never again will I come to this place. I got a ham & Swiss on Rye and it was good but we were ripped off on my husband's order. Every time I go I always get the same sandwich. Now there is two women that makes sandwiches. The woman with the white hair always gets my sandwich right the woman with the black hair constantly does my sandwich the wrong way. The woman with the white hair was not there today so I was stuck with the woman with the black hair. What I don't like is that I always get the end of the bread and it's always faced opposite and then cut I'm just getting the feeling that I am not welcomed to be there. I don't like a lot of meats on my hero's so I got the kids size and it was just the right amount. Believe me, if you don't like a stack of turkey on your hero get a kids version. Store is convenient. The deli is good. They have a new automated deli machine to order. During the week, two women are usually behind the deli counter. One woman is excellent and the other just rushes and it's like you got a sandwich from another place. Purchased a ham sandwich with mayo, the ham was sliced unbelievably thick. It only took her a couple of minutes to make the sandwich and that was why. There was so much mayonnaise that it was hard to keep the cold cuts in the bread. Half was wasted. It shouldn't be the luck of the draw as to who you get making the sandwich. I am positive when they read this review they will know which woman is which. I almost took the sandwich back. - it was that poorly made. They have quite a brisk lunch business. The automated deli machine makes it more difficult to wait for the person you want to make the sandwich or to give additional instructions. The employee that doesn't make good sandwiches is wasting the store's money as well as the customer's money. read more

Stopped in here for the first time today, boy was that a mistake waiting so long to do that since moving here 5 years ago. I ordered an Italian sub with everything on it, figured that's a good place to start when trying a new place for sandwiches. Damn was this thing stacked! Big portions of beautifully thin sliced meats, great quality and fresh as hell at that. Shredded lettuce (the best), tomato and onion added a nice crispness and bite to the sandwich. The bread was also great, soft and a little chewy but firm and supportive. Big beautiful sandwich and a 24oz of PBR for $8.54 out the door. Can't beat that at all. read more

This place is interesting. Its a convenience store/deli/ liquor store. They have a little bit of everything which I think is great. I ordered a turkey/roast beef/cheese/red peppers on a roll. For about $6 you get a sandwich with any toppings you want, literally filled with meat. They do not skimp on the meat here. I love that the lettuce on the sandwiches is shredded lettuce and all of the cold cuts are always fresh and refrigerated! On weekdays they have specials and sandwiches come with a bag of chips or a side. They have fresh coffee all day and a cappuccino machine with three flavors of cappuccino/hot chocolate. Cold cuts are always super fresh and typically one sandwich/wrap is so packed with meat you can only eat half! I absolutely love their tuna with celery and onions. If I see a long line and I'm in a rush, I grab one of their pre-made salads which are always really fresh and huge (especially their cold cut salad- so filling!) and there's always a great variety. I purchased one roll of paper towels from Forrest dairy for. $2.28 on Saturday Nov 26 2011. I paid an additional .16 cents sales tax I know .16 cents is not much money, but consider over a year period all the customers being charged sales tax Om paper products which new jersey taxation states stores cannot charge sales tax on paper products. I Am sure the owner or owners are aware of this law but choose to ignore it as long as the customers say nothing. Convenience stores charge extra as it is because of being open most of the time I understand that but this is blatant theft. Ps. I don't know about anyone else but I feel I pay enough taxes in rutherford they should at the very least see that the residents aren't being ripped off. I checked the two other stores. Mini mart. Just ordered 5 sandwiches for lunch. When I arrived, there were 3 people at the counter yet it took 5 minutes for them to acknowledge me. I asked for 2 Italian, 1 turkey/mozz, 1 ham and a mozz sandwich. The person asked if I wanted munster cheese 3 times, I explained I wanted fresh mozz. Upon arrival back at work, I opened the bags of sandwiches and 2 were wrong. The turkey sandwich didn't have mozz and was loaded with mayo-something I didn't ask for. We also didn't receive a ham sandwich at all. I have never ordered from them and never will. That's what I get ordering sandwiches from a liquor store.
