There's many sandwich styles to choose from and I had the Anna Maria and it was excellent. I asked if I could change the hot pepper spread for the sweet "No Problem ". The service is top notch! I don't think you can get any closer to the taste of a sandwich in Italy so this is the next best thing. Make sure to stop by and find out what's your new favorite sandwich!

It's very small inside so you cannot eat there.

Local delis are rare these days but this little place made my day. Clean and neat overall. Selections are more geared for breakfast but they have the basics for a good deli sandwich. Bread was fresh and the perfect chewy doughy Italian bread you want for a deli sandwich. They have Boars Head brand cold cuts and they slice to order. The owner was super friendly and we had a few laughs as he shared about why he had started the biz. The two local crossing guards were hanging having a cup of coffee before heading to their corners. The pricing was worth the sandwich. I was very pleased with the service and sandwich. Looking forward to stopping in again soon.

It was all that and a bag of chips, which was WISEly purchased to go with lunch. The bread was perfect and the homemade mozzarella just really makes it! The flavors were so good as well and if I'm in the area again I will definitely be back! I ordered the eggplant parm sandwich and I will say, unequivocally, do NOT order this. It's a complete and utter failure and I'll explain why. The eggplant itself is cut so thin, about 2mm on a mandolin. Instead of bread crumbs, it's coated with a foamy egg batter. Fried. There is barely any sauce on it and two lumpy pieces of mozzarella on it. Tasteless. And for $14, I tossed it in the garbage. Stick to the chicken parms. I will still patronize this place, but never again, the eggplant.

The shop also has a ton of prepared food servicing the many office and blue-collar workers in the area; it's an excellent place to have a sandwich made for one. Upon entering as regulars to this local favorite establishment, my partner and I decided on Chicken Cutlet with fresh mozzarella cheese and roasted peppers on a toasted wheat wrap as well as Chicken Salad on a sun-dried tomato wrap for indoor dining. They are not cheap, but one gets what one pays for in terms of taste, freshness, and authenticity. The portions were a healthy size for another meal. I ordered the buffalo wings, garlic knots, a small cheese pizza with vodka sauce instead of marinara & mushrooms, and a cannoli. The wings were not Buffalo, they were a mix between Buffalo and bbq. If I had known, would not have ordered. Did not like the bbq sauce flavor. I also asked for ranch as I despise bleu cheese but alas, I did not get ranch and had to eat my wings plain. Garlic knots were perfect. The pizza tho. Ugh, it was so bad. They made a cheese mushroom pizza with way too much cheese and then put the vodka sauce on top after!!! Like a drunken grandma pie. That's not what I wanted. I asked for, "a cheese pizza with vodka sauce." It was so soggy that it soaked through the bottom of the box. Stayed soggy even after reheating in the oven. I ate half a slice and tossed the rest sadly. I won't be ordering from here again. The cannoli was fine but wouldn't order again either. The only thing I would eat again is the garlic knots. Very disappointing for Jersey pizza.

Boy were we both unhappy with what we got. My boyfriend's father found his braciole and sauce to be so salty it was inedible. He likes food and he is rarely disappointed in an Italian meal. But he said it was so bad that he couldn't even eat it. He ended up throwing it away. I was equally disappointed. Maybe more so. There was no way that vegetable roll was made that day let alone any sooner than two days before. It was so stale. It was hard as a rock. And I hadn't even heated it up. I cut into it right after I brought it home. It also tasted stale. I ended up throwing it away too. Broccoli Rabe roll was a tad better. It wasn't hard as a rock. But it wasn't fresh either. It tasted meh. The only thing I was happy with are the prepackaged taralli. They were imported and were lovely. Go there for the prepackaged imported food products.
