So far so good! This grocery store replaced a stop and shop in Calstadt. I am so happy to see another grocery store is in this location. They had prepared foods by the produce section and a full deli. Prices for some items were a little higher but they had some very good sales. They had a large vegan, dairy free isle. Everything in the store was clean and neat. I'm hoping to see more organic fruit the next time I go. Service helpers were throughout the store stocking shelves and asking customers if they needed help finding anything. High hopes for this place. read more

I know some people are upset that the Shop & Stop is gone. and the Food Bazaar does not carry the same products it is Latino-oriented. But that's the point, if they sold the same stuff Shop & Stop the ShopRite would put them out of business also. I am happy to see this place especially since I found the main authentic ingredient to make Sopa de Salchichon (Puerto Rican Salami Soup) and that's the Salchichon - La Primera and I got it at a good price too. Yes, you can use the one made from Goya but only an amateur would use that. many of the prices were more than ShopRite but there were bargains to be had if you look around. This just turned out to be such a disappointment to me. I've been going to Stop & Shop for years. Now it's this, and I was very open-minded particularly when Stop & Shop employees assured me that their jobs were secure. I was open-minded to what this new supermarket might offer thinking hey, maybe it'll be even better. Well, not only are a number of the products that I relied on Stop & Shop for gone and replaced by inferior brands and offerings, but I don't see a single one of the previous employees other than maybe a few of those who collect the shopping for carts in the parking lot, which.... No offense to the new staff, but it really was such a great team of efficient and personable individuals working there before many of whom were there for years and years and essentially in that sense a part of the local community. Sure, they dolled up the place I guess to fit the current trends, but I don't go to a grocery store caring whether it looks like a supermarket or a farmers market or whatever, I go for the grocery products that I enjoy and rely on, and like I said, they had a great staff. I guess I'll go down the street to ShopRite then, or give in to the evil empire of Walmart. In fact I left here without buying anything and went down to ShopRite to find most of what I needed. I cannot give this store anything more than 4 Stars at this time. That is because they just opened, replacing a Stop & Shoo Supermarket that closed 36 hours earlier, and they only have about 70% of their store full. What they do have is set up beautifully and the people working here are very nice. Prices are a little higher than expected for a new store, but expecting a better Grand Opening Sale this coming Sunday, when store is 100% filled. There is a ShopRite 1/4 of a mile down the road on the same side of the street in Wallington. So there should hopefully be some competitive pricing here. What I give Food Bazaar 5 Stars in would be the diverse products they carry compared to more traditional supermarkets. They have a large parking lot shared with other retail tenants, but more than enough for the busy times. The ambience in the store was nice with music playing overhead. Has a large international section in the middle of the store. While I have had negative experiences from other locations by this chain, I am willing to give this store a chance. It is a larger concept store and is not as cluttered as their other locations, which try to cram as much as possible in a tight space. So even though it is an Independent Chain, this location is a nice size and should be a welcome addition to the towns of Carlstadt & Wallington. I will provide a follow up review after their Grand Opening Sunday and will update my Rating, if needed. Good location and down the road from Route 17. Really nice selection of international products. Great produce selection, especially Asian, and specifically Korean, mostly reasonably priced. Nice not to have to travel to Hmart if I'm in need of an ingredient. Same to be said for the seafood department. Very reasonably priced and great variety of fish that no other local supermarket carries. Yes, there are some overpriced items in the store, but careful shopping brings a bounty of bargains, and pleasing variety of items. There have been many free samples, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I hope this store gets a good foothold and people will support it. Amazing selection of items. read more

This supermarket replaced Stop & Shop 1 day after it closed. Problem is the prices are insane. A $2 item is now $3.50. A $4.99 item is now $7.50. Why would anyone shop here? Go to Shop Rite down the road or Stop & Shop in Lyndhurst. Food bazaar blows!!! read more

Horrible experience. Horrible store. I HATE it here!!! Very racist, very rude, and the store is disorganized making it hard to find items. I hope they go out of business soon and Stop and Shop comes back. This was my second time coming to the store today. I wrote a more detailed review elsewhere, but it was for the wrong location. The store hasn't been at this location for very long, and I hope that it also doesn't stay here very long. I don't know how it has even been here the few months that it has. Maybe not enough people have been there to witness how it is. I shopped there twice for Instacart. Had a horrible experience initially and said I would never go back, but decided to give them another chance to see if the 2nd visit would be better than the first, it wasn't. Now, every time I see this store name pop up on my Instacart list of orders, I will decline. One thing I know for sure, for my own grocery shopping needs, I would NEVER come here. Two thumbs down. They will never have my business and I won't go there for Instacart anymore either. Can't wait to see them leave out of our neighborhood. Goodbye and Good riddance!!! :-( read more
