The list of out of stock items was minimal. My previous orders at the Lodi store hardly ever had any of the proteins on my list. The time and effort of picking up groceries at the Wallington store makes the process pleasant and convenient Where as ordering at the Lodi store is a crap shoot of what's in stock and being annoyed because you end up needing to make another trip to get everything that they did not have or could not find.

So if you are looking for Campbells soup, or Doritos etc., this is not your store. This was my local Aldi until one opened up closer to home. Staff is decently friendly. Place is clean enough. As a German, I am used to this store and its offerings. KISS Keep things simple S*****. Germans are masters at efficiency. For a store that size, they hire about 1/3 the staff that other markets would hire and pass that savings on to you. Think of it as a mini big box warehouse store. Everything remains mostly in the shipping box, instead of displayed beautifully on shelves. Employees "stock" shelves in 1/20th the time lol! I love coming here for the Christmas season!!!!!! So many German and other European specialties that are imported. From Lebkuchen to Stollen, all I can say is Lecker! They usually have 1 or 2 checkout counters open, and they could have a 3rd, but the line moves fast enough for the most part. I do also notice, that many items are hit and miss. Sometimes, it helps when you're indecisive, and you know your options are open. We met a friendly employee, Kevin, when we entered Amazon Fresh. He was very informational, recommended nearby deals and informed us about coupons. Overall, good late night walk around. Parking lot is connected to a shopping center. When you exit, your items are scanned and connected to your Amazon account.

I guess another agreement was reached because they are now open (as of August 2024). I went on the opening day in the late afternoon and it wasn't that crowded for a grand opening. There were so many deals that day and we mostly we able to pick up everything we wanted. Prices vary - some items are super expensive, but some are cheaper than regular supermarkets and as I mentioned, you can find some good deals here ($4.99 salmon, and $1.99 ground beef, anyone?). I also used this opportunity to make a few Amazon returns. Only one person was working that register at the time but another soon came to help out as a line started forming. I'm just glad that I no longer have to trek to the Paramus Amazon Fresh location to do returns. The Lodi location has checkout carts. You log into your Amazon account and scan the items with the cart, then drop them in. At the end, you check out on the computer on the cart, go to the specified line, and an employee will just verify your purchases. It was a fun experience. They do have regular carts and regular check out lines if you do not wish to do this. Looks like the Aldi next door is going to have some competition!

The store carries a huge variety of Polish style meats such as kielbasa, kabanosy, kiszka, polędwica, etc. Some of the meats are from other Polish butchers but many are prepared onsite by their butcher. There are also candies, chocolates, pickles, vegetables, fruit preserves, soups, seasonings, cheeses, butters, etc that have been imported from Poland. Everything we bought was delicious. The prices are not low but lower than we found in other Polish delis. Also, their staff is wonderful. They were friendly, helpful and we were given samples if we were not sure of our selection. When we told them that we were bringing our purchases cross country, they vacuumed sealed the meats to make it easier for transport.
