This grocery market reminds me of the ones in NYC back in the day (reminiscent of Garden of Eden and Westside Market) in that it's got a lot of international variety, which I love. They have a small deli in the back of the store, and a small flower shop in the front (you can also get helium balloons). I'm happy I stopped by.

It's not your average…read moresupermarket with tons of packages goods, so don't expect that- but better because they have a decent produce section, awesome seafood corner in the back, a deli? corner serving a variety of cheese and cold cuts, and many ethnic foods you won't find in regular us supermarket! It's a smaller place so don't expect to ride your cart down aisle number 5, but they make up for it with quality products overall from the brief perusing we had done. Love how they made customers walk through a narrow aisle of snacks and treats on the way to the few cashier lanes... cuz they had gooood stuff... think I saw Belgian chocolates and other European goodies, and ended up picking up a fluffy biscuits with those sweet fruity center in them. Delicious. I am a semi regular at the Vietnamese joint next door so now I'm going to shop here every time I come to eat some Vietnamese (or vice versa!). Support local! 5 stars!

The checkout and front part of the store looks nice where they have the flowers, cards and bakery sections. They have lottery machine and a coin counter as well. The fruits and vegetables in this store not as good as the ones I usually find in my town's Stop & Shop. The inventory also seems lacking behind most of the times. But other grocery items, soda and packaged food items are decent. The store has deals on many products all the time. The staff at this are nice. Most of the interactions with them have been decent. Mostly I use the self checkout, but whenever I used the regular checkout, it was quick and easy.

They have all the sections available, grocery, meat, bakery, snacks etc. you can also purchase lottery at the customer service desk. Many self check out kiosks and regular check out counters. The staff are always nice. Clean and organized aisles. Very comfortable to shop inside.

I guess not all Whole Foods are created equal. No issues on this latest trip. They had a good selection of items that were 50% off (bakery, salads, etc) because of the expiration date but it is a treat to find something you like on deep discount. They also have select discounted deals on specific days like bogo sushi on Fridays. So for a pricier grocery store in general, you can bump into deals especially with an Amazobmn prime account. This plaza also includes Target, home goods and a few restaurants. I'm sure it gets packed on Saturdays or when all stores are open so going on a Sunday might be a good idea.

The aisles are clearly marked. They have floral gift, seafood, meat and produce sections. All lanes are clearly numbers with boards specifying each aisles product types. They also have both assisted checkout and self check out lanes. During my visit, I saw so many great deals on loads of products. I mainly went because they had the buy 2 get 1 free offer for Fanta 12 pack boxes. Also noticed several staff members were busy restocking the goods and helping out customers. They have a customer service booth in the store where shoppers can buy lottery tickets, do money orders and talk to a staff member for returns and refunds. Overall I really liked the store and will be visiting it again soon.

Biggest problem involves the Bakery section. I know that someone working there is doing the best…read morethey can. Somebody in management should have determined that the single-serve muffins case is full of under-baked, badly-formed muffins. A baker there was poorly trained and thinks it is okay to put low quality products out on display. Shame on management for not even noticing how bad it is. The Bakery section in the Emerson, NJ store knows how to bake. Why should someone who resides in Closter have to detour to Emerson to receive quality bakery goods?

They opened 2 additional self check out kiosks for a grand total now of 6. That's great for those…read morewho prefer self check out, but they also reduced cashiers to only 1 during non peak hours. There was a line of 4 people people waiting (myself included) for traditional check out. 3 workers were standing around idle the whole time. They knew none of us wanted self check out. They waited a good 8 minutes until one of the irate customers started complaining. Why not use common sense? Initiate and open another cash register right away to remove the line. We have to bag and self check out. What's next they call us in to restock the shelves too? Stop & Shop out! If I want to wait on line forever, I'll take my business to Aldi & Lidl. At least there I shave 30% off my grocery bill.

There's a grocery store across the street that used to be Pathmark, Acme, and now Lidl. And although those supermarkets have come and gone over the years, Farmer's Market has remained! There's always workers restocking the shelves and they offer a wide variety of produce. They also sell flowers and we've bought beautiful bouquets from them before. COVID Measures: staff have masks on and there are dividers at the register with markings on the floor to stay 6ft apart. No hand sanitizer available, and it was definitely more crowded than it should have been. Overall best local place to get your fruits and veggies.
