Once upon a time, this was my favorite Walmart Super Center location because of its modern upgrade throughout the entire store. I hadn't been for a while, so I was shocked to walk in on a Sunday and see plastic around most of the store (mostly everything except groceries) as it now abides by the Bergen County blue law. In all fairness, I hadn't been here in a while so maybe it was always that way (but I don't think so). My browsing was limited but I was able to pick up some items on the grocery side. The best thing about this location is... the location. It sits near other big box stores as well as restaurants to dine in or fast food eateries. And ample parking! read more

This is a massive Walmart store, very modern, organized, fully integrated with latest tech. I have been an irregular shopper at this store over 10 years now. It is always busy, especially in the weekends, takes a while to get in and out of the parking lot due to heavy traffic. This Walmart is has wide range of products. Huge produce section. For back to school, they had aisles of items with very cheap price. There's also cosmetics, household goods, clothing, electronics, accessories, auto parts, and so much more. We went to the store to check the toys section. My daughter picked the game of life, rapid pop out and a Barbie doll. We ended up buying few other things like beach towels, conditioners, sunscreen and some stationary items. The self checkout lane had a bunch of kiosks. We didn't have to wait in line. Scanning and paying was so easy. We love coming to this Walmart once in a while, just wish it wasn't so far and crowded. read more

Walmart 1 Teterboro Landing Dr. Teterboro, NJ 07608 This general retail store sells a variety of everyday household items ranging from groceries to electronics to apparel. For the most part, you can easy purchase everything and anything you need without having to search elsewhere. While they have a wide variety of merchandise, I am curious why they don't have a wide variety of payment methods, such as Apple Pay. Apple Pay has practically become the modern technology version of a credit card and I was disappointed when I realized I had to leave my items behind because I didn't have any credit cards on me. 1-Star Review - Walmart North Bergen (Unacceptable & Incompetent) This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I placed an order on February 7th for a 10:00 AM delivery. What followed was three full days of lies, delays, and complete incompetence from Walmart North Bergen. My delivery window was pushed back over and over again -- 4-6 PM, then 5-7 PM, then 8-10 PM. Every single time I called customer service, I was fed the same scripted lie: "Your order is being loaded into the car." That statement was repeated for HOURS and was clearly untrue. At 9:50 PM, I was told to wait until 10 PM. When I called again, they told me to wait until 11:30 PM -- even though the store closes at 11 PM. That alone shows how disconnected and careless this location is. The next day? Same exact nonsense. And now we are on DAY THREE with the same thing happening again. I have text messages from multiple drivers stating they were outside the store waiting for my order, waited over an hour, and then had to leave because Walmart never brought the order out. This isn't a driver issue -- this is Walmart North Bergen failing to do their job. As an insult on top of all this, Walmart gave me three promo codes as "compensation," then refused to allow me to use them together on a $100+ order. That is not a solution. That is Walmart trying to silence a serious failure with restrictions and fine print. To be clear: this exact situation has happened to me TWICE. This is not a one-time mistake. It's a pattern. I am beyond angry. I want a real resolution -- not fake apologies, not scripted responses, and not useless promo codes. No one speaks English. Rude workers. I was ignored by more than 10 workers throughout a 3 month span. I was laughed at, when purchasing an embarrassing product, by the employees. Employees wont even allow you to pass them while stocking. Re-stocking should be done overnight. I called to speak to manager, no one answered. Large and crowded Walmart location. When I type 'crowded', I mean it here. Upon entering and seeing the crowds along with the lines, I already knew this was just going to be a browsing trip. The parking lot madness should've probably clued me in on what I should've expected, but I guess I wasn't paying full attention trying to navigate past the inept drivers. I haven't seen a Walmart this crazy that wasn't a Black Friday or during the holidays. Inside is standard Walmart from price to stock to layout. I had no interactions with employees, which was perfectly fine with me. The ones I did see, didn't seem like they wanted to be bothered to begin with. Same old story different Walmart. The parking lot is huge, but madness. Naturally the front spots were crazy due to the people wanting to park as close as possible but usually towards the back (where I park) is a little better - but it was almost just as bad. Can't blame Walmart for the bad drivers/parkers here, but it was a chore coming in and out of here. There is a Costco in the next parking lot, so I take it this is just a very busy location overall. Once I left, I could safely say that I have no plans to return here again. During a very hard time of living in the hotel in the area because my partner was getting chemo and radiation treatment, the delivery service at Walmart delivered the best customer service. I couldn't leave my partner too much so I ordered everything. They gave me of having things in an hour. They even alerted me if an items wasn't available but showed me what they could substitute. The shoppers were really fast and chose substitutes I really agreed with. I never used this service much before but now even in De since we got back use it everyday for water and cleaning items. Although I've ordered grocery delivery from here before, this was my first time visiting in person. I usually go to the North Bergen location but this store is surprisingly easier to get to for me. This Walmart is located is a shopping plaza and is pretty large. I didn't peruse the whole store but it seemed comparable in size to the Bergen location. Overall, the store was pretty organized. It looked less crowded than I'm used to, which was good. However, the employees were pretty unhelpful. I came here looking for a specific product. When I asked where I could find it, the first person I spoke to just looked at me and said "what's that?" Rather than looking it up. Then her colleague pointed me to the wrong aisle. There I asked another employee who was in the middle of a personal phone call. It just seemed like they were half checked out. All in all, the store was fine though if you know what you're looking for and where to find it. read more

It was busy, crowded, crazy, and too many people crammed in the same place at the same time. No real distance control, and certainly no one looking to change that with the staff that are few and far inbetween outside of the registers. The store is huge, yes. The parking is terrible, often overflowing beside the Costco there. And the shelves were one disorganized mess... and didn't even have the holiday stickers and other items that were shown in-stock on inventory. What can I say? I've had better experiences overall. I rarely walk out of Walmart without buying something, but today was one of those days. read more

Come here if you want cheap stuff, just don't come for the friendly service HAHA! This Walmart is in the newer strip mall across from Teterboro Airport. And it is a great addition! My wife and I have come here many times over the years. Please note that they have to follow the Bergen County Blue Laws which dictate what they can sell on Sundays. Anything that they cannot sell is roped that day. They always have an amazing selection, for a very very good price. Most of their stuff is made super cheap and its good enough to use a few times. This is also a place to get seasonal items. Right now they are celebrating Easter, and they had about 7 aisles dedicated to that. Anything to do with Easter and candy, they had it! We picked up some plastic eggs and other items like a new coloring kit. We also got this bunny that sings and dances which was cute. Most of the stuff from out last trip was Easter related, but in the past we have gotten baby food/clothes/items. All for good prices. We also picked up several toys for Easter for my son. They also had one of the quarter rides and my kid liked it! All in all, a nice store. HUGE!!! Amazing selection of anything and everything. Great prices, semi OK quality. read more

PROS: One of the biggest and most in stock walmarts in all of the neighboring counties. Being that it's a supercenter you can't go wrong with this location. The employees are also all very nice and prices are great! Aaah Walmart! You never cease to amaze me. This was my first visit to this particular Walmart. And as Walmart's go, its a nice one. What's unique about this Walmart is its location Not only is it surrounded by places to eat, its "across the street" from Teterboro Airport! Its something to be walking across the parking lot and see a plane fly so low you could almost identify the pilot! (LOL) The requisite Walmart layout reminds me a little bit of an IKEA IMHO, (except there are more means of escape). What struck me was this Walmart has the best dressed customers I've ever seen, and I've been to my share of Walmarts in quite a few states, including the one out in Bentonville, AR As usual Good prices... My only gripe is there were only 4 regular cashier lines open ans triple that for self checkout. It appears Walmart is leaning more towards bag it yourself check outs. read more

Tonight was horrendous! I have shopped here before and know what to expect, but the associates tonight were on another planet. I patiently waited 5 minutes at one end of the store for self checkout because only 5 cashier enabled lines were open and the lines were ridiculous. Nothing unusual about the lines, but because there is no clear direction of where to properly wait for your turn, I was cut by 5 different people deciding their own lane rules. I proceeded to opposite side of store to the other self checkout. Waited in line ten minutes in which an associate yells for another to open the lane next to it. I was second in line so I headed over when they said lane 18 open. I then had an associate stopping me saying no you can't come here because this is for the line. I explained yes, I'm next because the guy in front of me just stepped up to his self checkout and I was behind him. He continued to tell me no and finally he says ok. I now have the cashier reading my products, staring all over, taking his time. Pulling items out of the bag he just put them into to be nosey and read the box. I then hand him 4 peely coupons from the dog bones I bought as they were on it. Tells me well they don't work - well too bad and find help dude . He walks away and another associate walks up to me asking where the cashier went bc he's not supposed to abandon his register. He comes back, counts 4 coupons, counts the 4 bags of dog bones and asks me how many I bought? Wtf? You just counted 4 dude! Then says well are these 17oz or more? Whaaattt? Bag says 1lb5oz= 21oz. Then manager comes over to override and tells me you can only use 4 coupons. I literally looked at her and was like do any of you know how to count here? I only gave you 4 coupons!!! Finally got out of there and cursed them all in my car! Totally incompetent. I'd rather check myself out then deal with this nonsense. Wasn't expecting an experience at Neiman Marcus, but I sure didn't think the associates and manager wouldn't have simple math skills in counting! I'll stick to Secaucus or Kearny stores. This NYC gal loves any Walmart locations since we dont have any in the 5 boroughs. I was with a friend in NJ shopping at the outlets and we both agreed we couldn't go home without visiting Walmart. We googled the closest super center that led us to this location. There was a huge parking lot and no lines to get in during COVIC19 period, thank God. Everyone had on their masks but there was no real effort being made for social distancing. Customers including myself were just trying to get their shopping done and out the door. I love that there were households items and a grocery store all in one. We were able to get some affordable grocery items. I was a little disappointed they didn't have a few of the healthy grocery items I was looking for like the variety of protein pancakes or more sodium free seasonings. ' Nevertheless the store was clean and organized to me. The staff were friendly and our cashier was pleasant. I went on a Sunday afternoon expecting it to be crowded and lots of long lines. I don't know if I got lucky but I found a parking space pretty quickly near the entrance. There was no line to get in and they were plenty of carts. I found what I needed and use the app to locate the isles. I use the self check out and again only waited about five minutes for a register to be open. Everything went smoothly. I even needed some assistance in the garden center to price check in item and associate did the best they could to help me out. read more

I feel like I prefer the layout at other Walmart locations much more which is what took away 2 stars. It just feels more cramped and it does impact the overall shopping experience especially if you are navigating a cart full of items from row to row while social distancing. On this particular trip, I discovered that they have a pretty robust selection of gift wrap/bags, tissue paper, and ribbons. So if you need to package up a gift, this is a great place to score some affordable options that don't look cheap! They were surprisingly high quality and had a wide assortment of colors and designs. My friend was tickled to find the cutest matching gift wrap and gift bag for a birthday present. A pleasant surprise Walmart! Also, we found that they were stocked in Clorox and Lysol wipes. I haven't seen those in a while! So if you need to restock, they had a ton as of yesterday! One major disappointment was, I went to this location because it said on their site that they had a particular vacuum I was looking to purchase in stock. They did not have that item so I came home with everything but what I was looking for. They should really work on integrating their online and in store features more seamlessly. read more

However, the sales associate made me buy some thing that was not compatible to my purchase. So I was trying to exchange for the proper item, and they knew that the associate made the error. To be able to resolve the issue they needed the manager Gabriel. For some reason Gabriel did not wanna leave his lunch or just to sign off on my transaction immediately. Gabriel made me wait 45 minutes before they sent someone else to resolve my issue. They wasted my time! The item was only $30. Unacceptable, bad management skills! read more

As bad and unsafe as a Walmart can be...and worse! I was injured last weekend by falling stock, when a Walmart employee suddenly grabbed a large box from above my head and then dropped it---causing it to slam into the corner of my eye! As I winced in pain, the employee seemed to find the scenario amusing. Asking for the general manager in this store is taken as fighting words, as one person deflects you to another in a futile runaround, none with the authority, ability or willingness to take an accident report! Then, upon trying to reach the phantom GM by phone, she was always in a meeting or unavailable to talk---conveniently covering up the incident. The unsafe environment is a big issue in this store. You can easily get hurt shopping here, with zero assistance provided by store management. Customers are also treated horribly in other ways, as the Teterboro Walmart fails to update its real inventory on the Walmart.com website. Ironically, the main item we came in for was nowhere to be found on store shelves, despite being falsely portrayed on the website as being in stock. The parking lot is also extremely dangerous, with shoppers fighting for spots as many as three rows away from the front entrance. Nothing in this store is worth the hassle, the horrible customer treatment, and unsafe atmosphere. For safety sake, it makes sense to take your business and family elsewhere. read more

Convenient location for a Bronx insomniac who decided to go shopping at 4am. Considering that Walmart hasn't really shown the 5 boroughs of New York any love especially on a 24 hour level this location is pretty cool. When you can't sleep and you're pretty confident that there is no traffic. This is a good location where you can go and grab those Walmart exclusive items. Such as Street Kitchen Scratch Kits ($2.98). Cool way to try new flavors of international dishes @ home without making a full commitment to every individual ingredient. At that time the store itself was in the midst of being restocked but employees were still willing to assist when necessary. Everything was fine BUT at the self checkout I asked 2 employees by self checkout why the machine didn't take my Apple Pay. They said you can't do Apple Pay. I asked if there was another way to pay. They said no only credit card. Again I said "I don't have my wallet on me is there ANY other way to pay so I don't have to drive home for my wallet and come back" they said no only credit card. ONLY credit cards in the ENTIRE store were the exact words. Turns out it is SO easy to just download the Walmart app and pay at the register with that. Took me 5mins. And the two employees that stood arguing about whose drink was left behind last night couldn't take two seconds to explain the Walmart Pay option to me. Hispanic male and Hispanic female standing right next to self checkout at 3:30pm on 10/20. We came here to pick up some back to school supplies But things were limited and a lot of the shelves were empty due to the mad rush. I used to go to the Walmart in White Plains but when that store shut down I started ordering things online. The store is rather large with a large selection of things from fresh produce to baked goods to car parts and tools to clothing and school supplies it is a one stop shop. I also wanted to pick up some khaki pants for my son to wear to school but the clothing section was closed today which sucked but I guess I will have to come back later on in the week. So to update the review, I wrote about the subways at this store before. I came into Walmart last night needing to buy computer supplies. They were moving some shelves around, which I was unaware of. And did not immediately take notice. I was just making a quick stop getting what I needed and going to head out when one of the employees told me to leave the section because it was a construction zone. --- it was not clearly marked. Before I could explain to him him I just needed to my one item he told me to LEAVE! I was at a lost for words because I am not used to being spoken in a rude manner. I waited for a manager and told him that I needed help getting my flash drive. The manager was really nice and walked me to the area. And letter me choose what I needed. However, because I have had so many bad experiences at this Walmart, I wouldn't really recommend this Walmart to anyone unless you had no other choice. read more

I have only had great experiences at Walmart Teterboro. Today I did Walmart Curbside Pickup because I had a badly strained Achilles and calf. The order couldn't have gone smoother. Some items were out of stock, and they chose great substitutions. Emma came out with my order...she couldn't have been nicer...a total professional. Emma immediately credited me for the subscription that I didn't want, then loaded my trunk. I offered her a tip, and she said that Walmart associates aren't allowed th accept tips, then stated, "Walmart pays us generously." What a great shopping experience. Within a 5 mile radius, my partner and I have 3 Walmart's. Out of the three, we travel to this one in Teterboro, NJ because it's the biggest as a super center with a large supermarket. It is still our go-to place for food shopping and especially during the early stages on COVID in March. Although the waiting line outside was long during the cold winter at least it was moving. It was during that time we were able to access the display cases for aspirins or allergy medicines to avoid speaking with an associate. Today the waiting lines are gone as this store opened both ends to enter and exit. Masks are still required for entrance. However in order to get the aspirins or allergy medicine, one needs to locate a sales associate to re-open the now locked cases. Of course he was the only person around and helping other patrons. As a heads up, please avoid this location especially at high traffic hours in the afternoons and on weekends. read more

All the hate. All the negativity. WOW. Let me put my two cents in. Walmart is what it is. You go here because you are on a budget. There is nothing wrong with this. I shop here because of convenience. Bottom line this store is solid. I never had an issue returning an item. NEVER. Now, do I have to wait on line, absolutely. They take back everything I have ever bought from them in store or online. Reason they section off parts of the store on Sundays is because of blue laws in Bergen County. This has been going on for years. Don't like it but it is the law. This location is cray cray busy. I have been here on a Saturday afternoon and every register is open. Twenty plus register lines and two self service register lines with 8 to 10 units open. The supermarket section is not Whole Foods but it is workable. They pass my test of freshness, appearance and price. All good. I just don't understand all the one-star reviews. Take my word, Walmart at Teterboro does a good job. Great value. Well stocked. This location is 24 hours. At times it looks like the mad rush on Christmas Eve looking for a gift, but for the most part it is clean, stocked and staffed. People need to roll with the situation. This Walmart is trying to be "upscale". Total fail. Unorganized, and It seems not to have a plus size clothing section. Had to ask where the under wear was, which made me feel stupid. Parking is laughable since they put storage containers in the parking lot that takes up a lot of parking spots. I highly recommend not going to this Walmart location. read more

Bought 1.10 lb of wild caught haddock For 10.27 and 0.70 lb. of wild caught tuna for 6.99 and there were lots more bargains. The raspberries, blueberries and blackberries were fresh and did not go bad after a couple of days like when we buy them at other supermarkets like ACME.Tangerines and oranges were also fresh. Olive oil was cheap too. Bagged salad mix was 2.00 dollars or less. I did not have the time to check out clothes and electronics but they were there. They had medicines too. I would avoid this Walmart and choose a different one if you can. I'm honestly not sure if there's a better one in the area though lol :( The store is disorganized and chaotic (I know all Walmarts are chaotic but disorganization only makes it worse) and the employees act ghetto. The one girl working self checkout was talking into her phone cursing and paying no mind to customers. The worst part of this location is that literally ALL the over the counter meds and lots of other healthcare items such as eye drops are behind locked glass and you need an employee to access them all, and you know how hard it is to get ahold of a Walmart employee! I waited about 10 minutes for a lackluster employee to finally grant me access to my coveted eyelid scrubs. I've been to Walmarts alllllll over the country and then some and I've NEVER seen this stuff under lock and key, even in some questionable areas. So yeah, I won't be returning to this location.
