This place is such a good vibe. We went on a whim and decided to switch up date night, which we usually go to restaurants for a little wine and dine. But it was football Sunday and it was the later game so we figured let's drop into a bar and have a beer. We decided to check out blue 42 naturally because of its name and its football Sunday! The server was good. The food and wings were honestly excellent however, I do have to mention that all of the drinks are served in plastic cups. Even if you're inside sitting at the bar, your Stella will be served in a plastic cup; now I understand it's a dive bar, but in my radius living in Hawthorne New Jersey, I have not seen a bar that does not have any option for glass other than this one. Not going to be a dead horse I'll be back for pick up on the wings, but when it's the only time you're gonna really have a beer and it's not served in a glass this place is just not for me.

Finally made it here to try the wings and they didn't disappoint! I went with 2 orders of 8 wings split into 4 different flavors: lip smackin', omg, taco Tuesday (it was cinco de mayo) and their most popular spicy flavor but the name is escaping me currently.. The staff was very welcoming and service was great however the price was a little shocking. I ended up paying $58 for the 16 wings, sweet potato fries and a draft beer. I guess everything is more expensive up in north Jersey ‍. Still worth the trip

These are LEGIT the BEST wings I have ever eaten! The flavors are next level ( savoy, spicy or sweet) but more than that are the quality of wings and the perfect combination of texture, doneness & flavor. These EASY ate the BEST WINGS in New Jersey hands down! Georgio (hands on owner) takes pride in his establishment and it shows. Cleanest and well organized Bar / tavern I've been to. And if you are coming with a fake ID - don't bother .... Everyone is carded at the door . Beautiful security so you feel safe and well taken care of while here. AAA+++ establishment

You really can't go wrong with wings. BUT... Blue 42 has the best wings I've ever eaten in my life. With over 180 different flavors, your tongue can go on an adventure anywhere, like flavor town, flavor city, flavor boulevard, etc. It's always a hard choice for me to pick what I'll eat when I go, cause there are so many good choices. From Wifey, to OMFG, Lip-smackers, Danny Boys, and more. The best part about Blue 42 is that they have a $8 for 8 wings on Wing Wednesday every week 7pm-11pm. They do serve other food and even alcohol, is it a bar after all, but their wings are my go-to so I have to mention it.

Great wings. We had General Tso's and BBQ Potato Chips. They were great. Also had a burger which was very good also. Our bartender Ray was awesome as well as the rest of the staff. A definite return trip is needed.

There's no better place to watch a game with friends than a local sports bar. Whether it's baseball, football, soccer, or hockey, they always intensify with the excitement of being surrounded by other fans who are equally as excited and into the game. They definitely offer a fun atmosphere, great food, and, in some cases, specific team allegiances. Originally opened in 2014, this popular establishment specialized in Italian cuisine and bar food. Blue 42 Restaurant & Bar, situated on Market Street in Elmwood Park, bleeds green and gold. They invite Green Bay Packers fans to catch every game of the season. Voted one of the finalists in 2025 Best of Bergen, the star favorite is the wings on the menu, which come with an insane choice of 175 wing sauces and dry rubs, which I came for lunch today as a first-timer. Upon entering when it just opened inside this cozy and relaxed vibe full of sports memorabilia and TVs, I was greeted by Daniel and got a seat by the bar. Reservation is highly recommended for dinner or on game day due to limited seating. Besides wings, the menu features an array of appetizers, soups, and salads, each prepared with quality ingredients and flavorful combinations. I decided on the 8-piece wings with Avocado Ranch and Lemon Pepper. The wings were bigger and cooked to perfection. They arrived hot, lightly crispy on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Forget Buffalo Wild Wings or Wingstop, and you'll thank me. The service was quick and the staff friendly. The price was reasonable, and the portions were just right. I can recommend this place.

    Lots of options!

Love this place... the vibe is fun. We came on a holiday weekend, on a Saturday night - they did their best to seat us. Great service! The food is tasty and you can't beat the wing flavor choices! Bartender, Jess, is awesome! Bouncer is always close by and attentive - just in case! Very fun place!

Could this be the King of wings? Phenomenal sports bar with an extensive menu. When we walked in, it was packed and the open tables had reserved signs on them, so I was thinking that I was going to be out of luck. Well, luckily, they have these awesome outside pods that are heated. You have outdoor tv's with the games on them and no loudness of inside the bar. I was immediately greeted and given my options on where to sit. We started off with the sampler for the appetizer and 2 types of wings. We got the traditional Buffalo to be safe for the kid and the GTFO. which is Buffalo with a creamy garlic, parmesan. The kid wound up devouring those instead. For dinner, the kid got a Buffalo Chicken wrap, which was humongous. He had to bring half home. He said it was one of the best he's had. I got the Blue 42 burger, which is a burger with crumbled blue cheese, bacon and mozzarella sticks. Off the charts! If you're a wing person, this is a must try. Crazily crunchy. Seems to be double fried. Service is impeccable and everything is very clean. You can sit inside of you're into the games, or relax in a quiet pod outdoors. Either way, you win.

Great spot for wings, watching the game and happy hour!!! Super fun spot with indoor and outdoor seating. I love how many TvS they have so you can really catch all of the action! Fun drinks and great wings-over 180 flavors and counting!

We visited this bar specifically for the happy hour specials. We walked in but asked for outdoor seating. We ordered the passion fruit margarita, 911 wings and hubby wings. The drinks were really good. Sweet yet strong. One was enough if that tells you anything. The wings were good overall. The 911 wasn't as spicy as I thought but my fiancé thought they were lol. Hubby was a decent flavor too. The third order I can't remember what the flavor was but it was probably the best one and the wings tasted freshly cooked for those so that made a difference. My sister who also joined us ordered the Pluck U and those were definitely blue cheesy! So if you are a blue cheese lover those are for you! She got the mango margarita which was actually sweeter than the passion fruit. Good service and they had college football on the TVs. Definitely a place to hang out after work or on a game night.

Went to Blue 42 for happy hour on a Friday. It's a sports bar, so basically a dive bar with lots of TVs. We were seated at one of the low tables, somebody came by to take our drink orders. After we got our drinks they took our food order. We ordered from the happy hour menu. The food took a bit to come out, but they were pretty busy. We got a ton of different flavors of wings, fries, and the blue 42 balls. The wings were pretty crispy, but a little dry. Worth it for the happy hour price of $11. My favorite sauces were the boom boom and parmesan peppercorn. I would definitely return for happy hour.

Let's start with this is a bar with bar food. The drinks are served in plastic cups. I strongly recommend the 42 burger. I would skip the chili as the flavors didn't meet my expectations. I would definitely get the drunken vodka fries. The ambiance is of what you would expect to be of a sports bar, but with a lot of Packers fan memorabilia. There is an inside and outside.

First time here. Found it on Tiktok. They are known for their crazy varieties of wings like (fruity pebbles, pbj etc) We went early, it gets crowded. They offer outdoor seating. It is about an hour from Staten Island, but worth the trip. It is a bar with a full menu! TVs for the game are also outside and a heated bubble for cold nights where you still want to dine outside. Great experience! We will be back.

A quick heads-up: on Google Maps it's listed as Ceviche 517, but the sign on the building says Tavern 517, which initially threw us off. We were circling around until we decided to just trust the physical address--and we're so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, the name didn't even matter anymore. The decor is stunning--definitely has an upscale, Instagram-worthy vibe with a modern lounge feel. We might've come a little early because the place was quiet when we arrived, but that worked in our favor as we got to settle in comfortably and explore the menu. Drinks were a mixed experience. We tried the margarita flight, which included coconut, passion fruit, and strawberry. The coconut and passion fruit margaritas were absolutely delicious--fresh, balanced, and memorable. The strawberry, however, was a big miss--tasted like kid's medicine and no one at the table could finish it. We also ordered a drink called something like Chicola--it had ginger ale, lime juice, and some type of liquor, and unfortunately, it was another one we couldn't get through. The flavors just didn't mix well, and everyone at the table agreed it was a no for us. On the flip side, the Perfect Mule with a strawberry twist, the Henny Mojito, and a bold and fun drink called No Sheets were much better received. Menus are displayed on sleek tablets, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the in-house menu offered way more options than what's listed online. And the food? Absolutely excellent. The Tallarín Saltado with vegetables was beyond delicious--we placed it in the center so everyone could dig in. The ceviche flight was fresh and flavorful, and the jalea (a fried seafood platter) didn't last long on the table either. One friend had the larger ceviche bowl paired with a mojito and already asked to come back just for that combo. Even the kid's arroz chaufa with chicken impressed us, with a big enough portion for leftovers. If there's one thing that fell flat, it was the atmosphere--at least early in the evening. When we arrived, the music playing sounded like retro video game tunes, but thankfully it transitioned into upbeat Spanish hits, including some great bachata that gave the space some energy. All in all, despite a few drink misses and a quiet start, this spot is a gem. The food alone is worth the trip, and we're definitely planning to return--next time a little later in the evening to hopefully catch a livelier vibe!

The music selection was fantastic, and the huge TVs added a fun touch. I also loved that the menu was on an iPad, it's modern and convenient. I had every intention of giving this place five stars. The food did not disappoint: the appetizer was delicious, the dinner full of flavor, and the drink... well, "good." However, I have to address a major concern: the cocktail prices are astronomical, with some drinks approaching $70 after tax. I expected top-shelf liquor that would at least leave me feeling fine the next day. I ordered one cocktail made with Casamigos Tequila, a premium choice but over 24 hours later, I am still dealing with a relentless hangover: a pounding headache, a dizzy, woozy sensation, brain fog, and an unsettled stomach. This strongly suggests that I was served a cheap, bottom-shelf tequila instead. This is misleading and frankly unacceptable advertising premium liquor but delivering otherwise borders on food fraud. Some customers notice, and over time, this kind of practice will erode trust, lead to negative reviews, and drive away even more customers. On top of that, while I'm normally a generous tipper for excellent service, I was surprised to see an automatic tip added for a table of only 2, along with an additional tip suggestion. Overall, this was my first experience here and, unfortunately, my last. While the ambiance and food were great, the misleading drinks and high prices for "top-shelf" leave me no choice but to rate this place 2.5 stars. In my book, quality liquor makes all the difference when looking for a truly great night out.
