Who came up with this idea of self serving wine tasting! Genius!! We always saw Vinoteca in Dream mall but yesterday was our first time trying. I was amazed how fun it was for me. Upon arrival, the staff put our credit on file, gave us an access card, then you swipe the card , pushed the button of wine you want to try. The price is range from $3-$15per tasting (1oz/3oz/5oz). Abundant selections of wine from Spain, Italy, France, California etc. We also ordered pesto mozzarella flat bread and truffle fries. Food was 2/5 to me. I ate because I did not want to drink with empty stomach. Lounges at the back are giving chill relaxation vibe. At the front, there are regular tables. Most importantly, kids are ok to enter. I saw family with kids enjoying the wine and time spending together. It's a great feature. *sign up for the membership for discount.

Vinoteca is a self-serve wine bar-esque establishment located in American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ. Vinoteca is in the Food Hall Area w/ Vanessa's Dumpling House, Lady M, Best Pizza & Dream Bar. Vinoteca has wine & beer dispensary machines. 64 different types of wine as well as multiple types of beer are available. Once you have checked-in w/ the person at the front entrance, they provide you w/ a tap card. We used the tap card, browsed at various machines & pressed buttons to have wine dispensed into our cups. You are able to choose from 1oz., 3oz. & 5oz. dispensing options. Once you are done w/ your wine and /or beer-tasting experience, you return back to the front entrance to check-out w/ the cashier & pay your bill. We enjoyed several of the wines and had an overall pleasant experience. In addition to wine & beer, Vinoteca has a food menu that includes Paninis, Flatbread, Salads, Charcuterie & select sides - French Fries, Meatballs, etc. Non- alcoholic beverages include coffee, tea & water. Hours of Operation - Mon. Tues. & Thurs. - Noon - 8pm Fri. & Sat. - 11am - 10pm Sun. - 11am - 8pm Website - thevinoteca.com Instagram - @thevinoteca

This was the highlight of our visit to American Dream! Really cool concept where you open a tab and can try many wines instead of committing to a full glass or bottle. You scan the card they give you and choose a wine to dispense. About $3 for 1 oz (a taste), $9 for 3 oz (half glass) and $15 for 5 oz (full glass), depending on the wine. The signs about each wine have a flavor profile. The seating area is beautiful. Food is great and staff is so friendly. I can't wait to come back! Little weekend getaway to celebrate our firstborn's upcoming bday at her favorite spot. It works out so well that this mall isn't far from her school. It also works out really well that there's a quiet spot where a tired mom can sit and chill while the family is off doing their own thing. It's fun tasting the different wines, the system they have here is cool. The servers here are kind and friendly. I'll be back the next time my daughter wants to come here. ;)

Vinoteca is located in American Dream mall. The place was cool as there aren't many around like this. At first, you have to get a card that you'd swipe each time you try a new wine. My family & I who went were having issues with the cards initially working which can seem a bit annoying especially when you are with a larger group or are tight on time. So the idea of these cards are great but seemed to be problematic. In addition to the wine, you could order from a variety of charcuterie boards which in my opinion were costly for the portions. We also ordered some flatbreads, also costly. Happy I had the experience, but probably wouldn't visit again due to price & sadly inconvenience (of location & the technology involved and the frustration associated with it not working as it should.)

My friend and I visited Vinoteca early on a Monday, which gave us the chance to casually explore the wine offerings without a crowd. There are plenty of seats, but only two rows of wine machines, so I can imagine it gets a bit chaotic when busy. The employee who helped us with our wine cards wasn't overly enthusiastic about explaining how things worked or suggesting food. We quickly decided we'd likely just stick to sampling drinks. I love the concept--you use a card at various machines to get a small, medium, or large pour of wine, with prices ranging from $3 to $15. However, it's easy to spend quite a bit, and I would have preferred an option where you could just get a set number of small pours. Also, we had to hand over our cards to activate them, but then had to reuse them to pay at the end, which felt redundant. Overall, the concept is great, but the system could be more efficient.

Self-serve wine bar in the American Dream mall. Cozy lounge seating and good snacks available. You use a card to activate the spigot of each wine you want to try.

Spent about 30-45 minutes here for a break. The decor and ambiance was on point. The concept is really fun, you get to sample so many wines! The staff was so so friendly and welcoming to our 10 month! They got her a beach ball and breadsticks. They also offered us a complimentary sample. Will definitely be going back!

Small eats, wine by the tap and fill your own glass, and you can also just get some sparkling water. Self-serve drinks and a good place to sample but it is a bit spendy.

My new favorite place! Such a cool concept. The owner Elvis greeted us as we walked in, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Wine bar with self service vending machine, you scan a card and select an option for 1oz, 3oz, or 5oz. 64 wines to choose from, perfect for a tasting. They have counter service and table service as well, in addition to a casual area to sit at. The truffle cheese with truffle honey was amazing. I will be frequenting American Dream Mall a lot more just to stop into Vinoteca

My friend and I stopped at Vinoteca for a quick appetizer. Not very hungry we elected to order a salad. Welp, lol this salad was very tiny but delicious. I can honestly say we didn't get what we paid for BUT it was VERY GOOD.

    my fave so far.

Wine tasting 2.0! Loved the concept of it. But honestly only after I went there. I was invited to a birthday party there, and thought, Heh? Wine dispensers... I didn't understand how that could be a thing. It turned out really cool. Sectioned off from other mall eateries and activities, with its own ceiling vines and cafe design, and right next door to a Lady M for sweet treats, I was sold. I liked the layout of the wine to taste, very detailed signage for each bottle and you actually see the bottles, and I have the option to choose a tasting, more than a tasting, or a full glass in ounces. Prices of each amount are also listed, a large, plastic, logo-labeled wine glass (which really looked like glass, and made me feel more comfortable walking around with it & perhaps bumping into others) and many varieties of wine to try. When I found the wines I liked, I went back for a full glass and went to my seat to mingle and relax. No one can leave their area with the wine, and the staff is great, they wander or are readily available to answer Qs about the wine, or suggest any wines. There are also beers on tap, and a water station to rinse out your glass and start again. Going with friends makes it even better, so they can try something and alert you to the good stuff. If the bottles run out, the staff immediately attends to the machine and loads a new one in. The white wines and moscato are perfectly chilled, and the whole area is spotless, and the machines work great. Now... the food. Not great. Flatbreads and paninis weren't worth the money and my truffle Parmesan fries were soggy in the middle and crispy around the edges. I dunno how they heated that up, but... nah. The charcuterie was great, but you really can't really eff that up. I'd be good with small bites. Just enough carb to slow down the alcohol, or more variety charcuterie options with a couple sweet treats to go with the sparkling wines. I'd go back most definitely, but not for food. Maybe eat beforehand, there is so much in the mall to eat. But go!

Calling all wine lovers and enthusiasts! You have to check out the Vinoteca at the American Dream mall. Grab your friends, lovers and dates for the perfect way to spend an evening. This unique wine tasting experience allows you to customize your experience by selecting tasting samples and various pour amounts. Try from a selection of different wines and Prosecco. They also have beer taps! In addition to the drinks, they have delicious food including charcuterie boards, paninis and flatbread pizzas. I highly recommend a board to share, the meatball panini and the margarita flatbread pizza. The staff here are amazing and knowledgeable especially if you need advice on wines to choose from! They also host events and parties so be sure to inquire for your next event! Check them out the next time you are in the area!

The restaurant sits on a busy route with…read moreeasy access in and out, and the parking lot is large enough to accommodate many vehicles. The interior is visually impressive: elegant table linens, comfortable leather chairs, and a dining room that looks polished and upscale. When we arrived, what appeared to be the owner was greeting guests at the entrance. Since he was welcoming everyone and dressed differently from the rest of the staff, we assumed he was the owner. It was a great touch and immediately raised our expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not fully match that first impression. We started with drinks: a glass of wine for me and an Old Fashioned for my wife. As happens too often in restaurants, the stronger drink was automatically assumed to be mine, and the drinks were delivered incorrectly. It's a small detail, but one that reflects attention--or lack of it. Bread arrived quickly, followed soon after by the food. I ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce. The dish was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. My wife ordered the house seafood salad, which was very good--fresh, flavorful, and easily the best dish we had that night. Our waiter spoke limited English. Once he realized we also spoke his language, the service became noticeably more relaxed and somewhat overly familiar. He immediately tried to guide us toward the most expensive items on the menu. When I declined coffee after dinner, he responded by saying something along the lines of: "Well, that's your choice, but the coffee here is very good," which felt unnecessary. We also had a small issue with the Old Fashioned garnish. The orange peel looked unusual, so we asked for the drink to be replaced. The waiter did replace it, though he first tried to explain that what we thought were worms were simply marks on the fruit peel. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu, which the waiter promoted heavily as the best dessert to try. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver. Instead of the classic layered presentation, it arrived more like a cup full of cream with a few pieces of soaked bread and very little coffee flavor. The issue was not just the dessert itself, but the expectations created when it was described. Bareli's is a beautiful restaurant with a great location and atmosphere, but the service details and execution didn't quite match the level suggested by the setting.

The service was still professional and friendly, but the food left something to be desired. Though it was a Thursday evening, the weather was not great, so it was not overly surprising that the restaurant was not very crowded. Because of that fact, the gracious hostess offered us our choice of a few different tables, from a larger booth to a two-top near the window. We opted for the booth that would give us a chance to look out into the restaurant AND to still see the Manhattan skyline. We decided to order some drinks, and I opted for an Espresso Martini, which was not typically something I would have gotten before dessert, but I wanted the extra caffeine! Plus, their version included a caramel cold foam, which enticingly made it extra creamy and delicious. In fact, it was definitely one of the best espresso martinis I had ever had. We were deciding to skip any starters, so we asked for some bread while we waited for our entrees. The plate of focaccia was decent and hit the spot, but we were charged $2 for it, which was not a big deal but also not appreciated. For my entree, I went with the Lobster Bouillabaisse. The broth was flavorful, but there was not much of it. In fact, the dish came with three sweet rolls to dip into the soup, but I could have lived with less given the limited amount of liquid in the bowl. The included blue prawns were good, but the Hokkaido scallops and lobster were chewy. There was also supposed to jumbo lump crab, which seemed to have been replaced by gritty clams. There were also leeks and Yukon potatoes that were sliced in small cylinders and looked fairly similar to each other. The potatoes were bland, cold, and under-cooked. Overall, it was not very impressive for $48. My companion's Prime Filet Mignon was of an unknown size on the menu, but arrived looking smaller than the typical 8-ounces. It was also over-cooked. He did like his mashed potatoes, though. For dessert, we decided to get the Apple and Pear Bread Pudding again, since that had been excellent last time and would hopefully be a redeeming feature of the meal, which it was. The sweet, caramelized brioche had been infused with cubes of fruit, baked, and drizzled with a sea salt caramel. We replaced the designated companion creme fraiche gelato with a scoop of passion fruit sorbet, which was less of an appropriate pairing, but more of an appealing variety to us. While Drift truly offered a stunning space with incredible service, they really could improve their culinary preparations.
