We lived in the area and left the state, and after two years, came back . And the first restaurant that came to mind was Lola's! Classy for a date night, great service, delicious, tapas, and delicate drinks. Their Rioja Wine ... Amazing! We sat at the bar and instantly felt at home with our great bartender FABIOLA She is super knowledgeable, conversational and left us feeling like we knew her from long ago. Can't wait to come back !

Had a nice dinner at Lola's recently. Lola's is a tapas restaurant located in Hoboken. Upon entry, you totally get the vibe that you are eating on the streets of Spain. The food was good, I had ordered the short ribs and it came with a side of rice. We also had ordered a seafood paella platter. Everything tasted good and flavorful. The dessert presentation was pretty cool and brought out a tray with each dessert. I had opted for the creme brulee and a cappuccino. Overall a great dinner!

Really amazing food and service. The octopus was cooked to perfection which seems to be hard to do in most places that serve octopus. The avocado salad with tuna was good too, the dressing was a little sweet for my taste but the tuna was cooked to perfection and the avocados were delish. The patatas bravas were just ok but everything else looked *chefs kiss*. The portions were huge so I don't know if I'd call this a tapas place but I'll definitely be back to try out more of the menu. The inside is really cute and as I said, the service was top notch. Very attentive.

Excellent place highly recommend. Food was 10/10 one of the best Octupus ive had perfectly tender yet crispy well seasoned. Mariscada with garlic entree wish there was more but amazing taste. Skirt steak was also great. Staff super friendly and attentive. We went off hours 3:30pm so were able to just walk in. New favorite seafood spot they 100% deserve the 5 stars.

3.5 rounding up to 4 stars. Their outdoor setup is nice and the service is friendly and quick too. I got the grilled octopus and the seafood paella. The grilled octopus was really good. It was perfectly cooked and had the perfect crunch and soft inside without it being mushy. The seafood paella was okay. The seafood itself had really good flavor (especially the shrimp) but the rice was lacking in flavor. Got a mojito as a drink here and that was really good!

I really enjoyed the spot and it was pretty affordable for Hoboken. The drinks were good and strong. The scallops were so good wrapped in bacon and that raspberry almond sauce took it to another level would even put that sauce on dessert that's how perfect it was. the octopus was really good. Only feedback is to cut off the fact because it makes the dish a little slimy. The patatas bravas were really good, but they didn't have a spicy kick like these potatoes should be. The severance was nice and gave good recommendations, but I wish she was more attentive. There was a table that was sat served and paid all in the time that we were there and they were getting way more attention than us when there were only two tables that were being serviced, us being one of them. Overall, I would go back because the food was good and the vibe was really nice as we enjoyed the music but the attentiveness could've been better.

Great fancy spot to come to! The tapas were awesome. I will say it's not that cheap but the service is top notch! They do have parking which is nice, and the ambiance is so nice.

Loved every bit of it. Can't wait to go back again and again. Fast service. Good vibes

Awkward and rude encounter with waitress. Chicken wings basically bitten (dried up, not fresh).

OMG !!! OMG !!! OMG !!! I just left this place and I can't wait to go back ... absolutely AMAZING !!! Let me start with the warm welcome you get when you walk in , very few places offer that anymore now a days .. The decor : absolutely amazing , you feel like you're certainly in Spain .. beautiful decor .. The drinks : we had Mojitos and Mango Sangria , that was the most refreshing drink I've had in a long time . The food : monkfish was cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing . The clams in garlic sauce were also so good , but the most amazing thing we tried was the chorizo in red wine sauce , that was simply so so soooo good . The food presentation was great and everything was served fresh !! The whole experience was GREAT!! Thank you so so much to the amazing staff as Lola's for being efficient and professional all while serving great drinks and food .. five stars all across the board . Can't wait to go back !! Honestly if I could I'd give 10 stars to this place . Make a reservation tho cause they are super busy , but trust me it's worth it in more ways than one .

Super cool spot. Definitely try the stake pot and seafood one - festival presentation and that's when everyone took out their phones for the wow moment

I came here for dinner with my friends right before lock down. I did keep joking that sharing plates as a pandemic was looming over our heads was maybe a bad idea. But once we got here, joking all aside: thank you for one last amazing night before lock down!!! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The staff was beyond amazing and they even offered to provide us a few tapas on the house. The pulpo gallego here is out of this world and definitely hit the spot. The seafood mariscada was just as good. Every dish that came out was right on point. We didn't have a single dish we didn't polish off. The martinis I had definitely were strong - thank you. My friends raved about their cocktails as well including the sangria. Wish I were closer, I'd be taking this to go everyday during lockdown!

Stuffed avocado with lobster and shrimp

My daughter took me to dinner Sunday. She selected Lola's Tapas and I was certainly delighted. It was my first visit. The day was hot so I didn't want anything heavy. We were seated indoors at our request; however the table was near the open doors so we had the best of both worlds. There was a lovely breeze coming in to cool us. We started with a glass of Ramon Bilbao rioja wine. It was smooth and velvety. Delicious! Our order consisted of avocado stuffed with lobster and shrimp, broccoli rabe with sautéed garlic and garlic shrimp. Everything was wonderful. The winner by far was the shrimp dish. It was perfect. The shrimp were tender with a lovely sauce that had a bite at the back of the throat. Completely satisfying! Our servers were very attentive; 4 gentlemen who appeared as needed to refill water, answer questions or remove empty plates. For dessert, we split the carrot cake. It was very nice without being too sweet or rich. My coffee was delicious. I recommend this restaurant and will return.

Wine should be served in a wine glass; not in a non-wine glass. Service could be better.

As for the food, I've read some negative reviews on the food. We split a burger and fries. They were both very good! Maybe some of the other food items are meh, but ours was great. City Winery is a great venue that showcases great talent with great staff, however, there are a few tips & tricks you must be prepared for to fully enjoy your experience. 1. Come early. Seating is somewhat first come, first serve. My most recent experience was at the sold out show for Teedra Moses. My tickets were purchased off a waitlist, therefore my original seat was at a high top located against the wall, with another couple. It was not comfortable at all. I politely asked our server for another seating option which she hesitantly obliged given our early arrival. I also purchased a bottle of wine, which our server was not aware of. Being early allowed us to place our order and hash this out without disruption to the show. 2. You will be sat with another party unless you come with a party of 4 or more. 3. I typically dine elsewhere prior to or after the show. The menu is not heavy, plus it is challenging to enjoy the show while eating. All in City Winery is spectacular for what it is. The main takeaway is to plan ahead.

I came in on a Wednesday night at 8pm, it was empty and we were seated right away. The entire store and bar is very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. There's 3 floors, the bottom floor which located another bar, the main floor which is street level and has the coffee bar and merch, and the top floor which included the Arriviamo Bar. Our server was very nice but didn't catch his name. We couldn't choose which drinks to get so we settled on the espresso martini flight which includes their espresso martini, double matcha espresso margarita, and ube espresso martini. * Espresso martini: tasted good, foam was perfect sweetness, can barely taste the alcohol * Double matcha margarita: good, matcha foam was good, you can definitely taste the tequila in this but they seem to use good tequila * Ube martini: nice sweet drink, but doesn't taste like ube at all (to be expected, but the ube cold foam on their regular coffee drinks has more of a hint of ube than this drink does) * Matcha butterfly pea swirl cake: has a nice dense texture, light taste of matcha, butterfly pea cream also has a thick creamy texture and a very light taste, perfect snack for a drink with a strong taste Overall good experience, would definitely be back to try the other drinks here and downstairs.

We were seated in about 5 minutes which was great and had the choice to sit wherever we wanted. We ended up getting the seasonal flight, a spring pea flower tart and a pistachio cookie. The food was good but it didn't stand out. A lil bit pricey as well for what you get. The flights are smaller sized than the normal drinks but that's what you'd expect. However the drinks were made well and tasted great. Loved the ube cloud drink the most. Overall a pleasant experience but nothing that wow'd me. I'd stop by to experience it at least once.

It was a fabulous setup with beautiful strung up lights lining the ceiling. While we waited to be seated we were given glasses of sparkling white wine. Our waiter told us that the space for the JBF LTD was donated by one of the JBF board members. Very cool. Eventually, we were seated at our communal table and were given a green garden gazpacho to start. It had pickled green strawberries which were surprisingly very good. Usually you throw the green strawberries out of the bunch and only eat the red ripe ones. David Kinch opened our eyes to eating this unripened fruit and I will never look at green strawberries the same! The soup was paired with vegetable beignets and a crispy vegetable chip - both were just perfect. Our next course was my girlfriend's favorite - an abalone salad nestled on a bed of romaine lettuce coupled with grilled cucumbers and an avocado-nori sauce. I loved the avocado-nori sauce with the tender abalone. The entree came next and was a succulent porcelet with the best crispy pork skins! It was served communal style which was kind of cool. There were two cuts of meat - belly and tenderloin. My favorite part was the skins. Dessert was a lovely popover with powdered sugar. Sweet, simple, and delicious. We had different wine pairings with each course and were semi-tipsy by then end of the meal. The best treat of the night was when David Kinch and John Paul Carmona came out and greeted the diners. They were both kind enough to sign my copy of the menu also. I'll be on the watch out for next years JBF pop up!
