I typically enjoy wines that are fruity and sweet from Trader Joe's LOL. Our wine flight contained 3 wines. The portions were generous and the total price + tip came to $34 Service: 5/5 Our bartender was so sweet! We didn't feel intimated at all when looking at the menu. She gave us great recommendations and we ended up going with two wine flights that didn't disappoint! She was super attentive, knowledgable, and made sure to check in on us frequently. Vibe: 5/5 The bar is super cute inside with wine glasses in the background of the bar. We came on a weekday evening and didn't have to wait for a seat at the bar. It's a relaxing envionrment to grab after work drinks or drinks with a friend!

Corkbuzz is a wine bar inside Chelsea Market. While I typically find Chelsea Market a little too crowded and chaotic to be comfortable, my husband and I dropped in specifically for some wine and a snack in the later afternoon on Saturday. The wine bar is comfortable and cool. We grabbed a couple of barstools, ordered 1 wine (a Slovenian wine for me), 2 cocktails (for my husband; he liked the cocktail so much, he ordered a second), and a white bean dip with focaccia bread, that was garlicky and delicious. It was a comfortable place to enjoy a drink and a snack. I'd be happy to stop by again - if it's still open?!

The event took place in The Loft, which is a small venue, but with a great view of the stage. Doors opened at least an hour and 1/2 before show time. I do recommend arriving early to order food and drinks - service was very attentive before the show. It gets a little difficult to order food as the show is taking place. You can still flag your server, but it may take a longer wait time as the kitchen gets busier. Depending on your ticket, you may be sharing tables with other people, which I was okay with. I went with a friend to the show and ended up sharing the table with two other people. That can be off-putting for some people, so I wanted to make a note of that! Seating is several long tables or small tables stacked up against together. However, the food was delicious! We ordered a charcuterie board to share, margarita flatbread, and truffle mushroom flatbread. And of course, we had to pair our meal with wine! We ordered a delicious Riesling each. I recommend the City Winery for a date night or a fun girls' night out. They host a variety of events and wine tastings, so it's worth a visit!

Nothing wrong with…read moretreating yourself and since I am a huge fan of Tamar Braxton, I brought myself a ticket and hopped on the MTA train downtown to see her. For my first time at City Winery I was impressed, but also a bit confused. It's definitely a nice venue, but it could use a bit more organization. It's so huge and has different parts to dine or hang out in different areas, one can be confused about where exactly to go. This one area I was in, you could step outside onto the peer that happens to be connected and shared with other stores and restaurants. I did take pictures and videos for a better understanding. Now when it came to my experience after exploring and figuring out where to go, I ended up at the bar area and was happier with that experience over my sit down dining experience. I was told two different things when it came to ordering drinks and food from both areas. This confusion caused me to miss some time away from the musical experience. So in the end I would suggest order your drinks from the bar and bring them to your sitting experience and order your food from your sitting area. My order was also wrong and because of it what I wanted sold out, but I did end up with the best lobster ravioli I ever had in my life so a plus for that. Although it wasn't in my budget to buy, It was worth going into the wiggle fund. I do set me a budget every-time I go out anywhere. I have a spend amount and an amount for a little wiggle room. I will not go over the wiggle amount. You should do the same lol! Anyway I would recommend this place with little advice to prepare you for, if you have read this full review. A thumb up and Happy Yelping! F.Y I.-Tamar dinner with you was amazing! Thank you

It was a fabulous setup with beautiful strung up lights lining the ceiling. While we waited to be seated we were given glasses of sparkling white wine. Our waiter told us that the space for the JBF LTD was donated by one of the JBF board members. Very cool. Eventually, we were seated at our communal table and were given a green garden gazpacho to start. It had pickled green strawberries which were surprisingly very good. Usually you throw the green strawberries out of the bunch and only eat the red ripe ones. David Kinch opened our eyes to eating this unripened fruit and I will never look at green strawberries the same! The soup was paired with vegetable beignets and a crispy vegetable chip - both were just perfect. Our next course was my girlfriend's favorite - an abalone salad nestled on a bed of romaine lettuce coupled with grilled cucumbers and an avocado-nori sauce. I loved the avocado-nori sauce with the tender abalone. The entree came next and was a succulent porcelet with the best crispy pork skins! It was served communal style which was kind of cool. There were two cuts of meat - belly and tenderloin. My favorite part was the skins. Dessert was a lovely popover with powdered sugar. Sweet, simple, and delicious. We had different wine pairings with each course and were semi-tipsy by then end of the meal. The best treat of the night was when David Kinch and John Paul Carmona came out and greeted the diners. They were both kind enough to sign my copy of the menu also. I'll be on the watch out for next years JBF pop up!

This man walked out of cork city and was incredibly emotional. Threatening to fight anyone that talked to him. A woman took exception and called him out to which this drunk man proceeded to elbow the woman in the chest (her husband was a coward and didn't do anything). After this the customers at the bar were extremely upset and called the police. Ten minutes later the police showed up and walked the man to the opposite corner. This is where the management/security at Cork City showed their true colors. The Cork City employee (it was said that he was the owner but not sure if that is true) was overheard saying that the person that called the police in the bar would never be allowed back. Cork City itself never called the police to deal with this drunk lunatic. After another 30 minutes it became clear that this man was going to be let off scot-free. The customers outside started to grow restless at this fact and yelled to the police officers that they all witnessed the man assault a woman. During this time to Cork City representative told us that he did not see anything. Everyone outside saw what happened and he refused to hold the drunk man accountable. He was too worried about serving beers and his reputation than ensure the safety of others. This is disgraceful and I would hope nobody that knows this information ever gives them another dime. If you are looking for somewhere to get a nice chill drink in this area I would highly recommend Louise and Jerry's! Much better spot to enjoy a drink.

A mid-80s Mets obsessive who yearns for the days of Mookie Wilson and Bob Murphy, I haven't kept up with baseball so much in recent years. That all-star game tie and DH in the NL didn't appeal to me so much. Game 7 of the World Series provided an opportunity for me to be a "normal American" and watch the game at the bar. But I didn't want to buy $80 of drinks so I figured I'd try for inning 6 and beyond and get the finale. So the plan was Cork City for part and maybe another for the ending. The game was on many TVs, caught that cool double play. The sound was on but the talking kind of drowned it out, which seemed less than ideal. However, after I left, none of the 30-ish bars I walked past even had the sound on! So much for all the "sports bars" in this town. (To be fair: it was Halloween weekend, and business decisions to appeal to 20-something women in lingerie and their admirers may have been a factor). After going to 14th and back I was ready to enjoy extra innings at Cork City. But they were at capacity. Game Over. Yes, I'm copping to my inexperience in Hoboken bar-going. Turns out Cork City offered the best baseball experience in town. As for the bar itself, I enjoyed the Peach Fuzz cider from Pennings. The service was friendly. I'll try again on an off-peak night. My plan didn't work out but at least I got some steps in and learned that many sports fans are liars.
