This is a really, really relaxing spot on the water. Vibes are phenomenal, and the wine is very good and affordable. Way less busy/crowded than the cidery next door

Very cute! Grab your own seat and enjoy a glass or flight of wine. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Wine was good! Not sure if they have any food available. Merch available, though. Service is friendly.

Gorgeous outdoor winery situated right on the water in Red Hook. We made a same day reservation for outdoor a la carte seats, which required a credit card and payment of $20 per person which gets credited toward your overall bill. Upon arriving we were swiftly seated for our reservation overlooking the water outside. We decided to try their orange wine flights, which were 4 wines for $18. All of the orange wines were tasty, but were also very similar in nature. Our waitress was accommodating and attentive, and took time to explain the wines on the list. All of the wines here are local to the NY area. One thing that was a little off putting at first was their line of wines saved during Hurricane Sandy. The way the waitress explained them made it sound like they were plucked from the water, and honestly they all had a little bit of a briney sea taste to them (but maybe it was just in my head). All in all, a solid activity to do on a beautiful day.

Overall: I went here with my girlfriend in the late afternoon on a Sunday. We arrived around 7 pm (they close at 8), which worked out great because a lot of people were starting to filter out. There's a small area of wine barrels outside that surround a few tables and chairs. These are only available by reservation, but we were able to sit there since it was close to closing. It was a very nice area to sit during the sunset--I just wish they had more outdoor seating. We ordered one of the special edition bottles of orange wine they offered. The worker at the ordering counter helped steer me to it, and I wasn't disappointed. The bottle was one of the more reasonably priced options ($18/glass or $52/bottle) and was very refreshing on a warm evening. In the past, I've also tried some of their different flight options. They offer several assortments, each covering an interesting spectrum. This is a beautiful spot for a drink, and I'll definitely be back. Drinks: 5 Service: 4 Value: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Drinks: We had a really nice orange wine. It was one of their seasonal special editions, so this was one of the last times they had it. It was pretty tasty, and I would definitely try it again. The selection is always good, with a lot of options for people interested in trying something new. Service: Service at the counter is pretty hit-or-miss. The line seems to get long in spurts, so sometimes it takes a while to get something. Once you're at the front, though, they're very helpful--it can just take a little time. Value: The drinks here are pretty expensive. Bottles are a slightly better value but still not cheap. There are other places to get a better value, but this is still a fun and relaxing spot. Atmosphere: We were able to sit outside right on the water's edge. It's a very nice place to hang out. Unfortunately, the outdoor area is small, so you typically have to stay inside.

Let me just start this review by saying that the staff was incredible, attentive, and super sweet! I love that this spot is located by the water, however, we were indoors, and indoors is missing the vibe, the background music was low, and besides the wine, the snack selection is very mid, so do not come hungry over here. Overall I had a good time, we tried a sampler and then went with 2 bottles of our fave, Great spot to come with friends and maybe on a crawl to check out other spots in Red Hook, we mistakenly went to the cidery first and that seemed more lively.

Such a great experience! If you are in Brooklyn skip the tourist traps and head this way. It is so relaxing and worth every step. The views are spectacular and the wine is perfect. Grab a flight and some snacks, sit back and relax!

Fantastic view! Well worth going for that alone. The wine wasn't my favorite, but I would go back on a nice day. I also enjoyed the hummus and chips.

A perfect day in Red Hook to me would involve a visit to Steve's Key Lime Pie, a chocolate and whiskey tasting at Cacao Prieto/Widow Jane, a meal at Somtum Der, and maybe a nitecap at Sunny's Bar. Now I'm happy to add Red Hook Winery to that list, and would take the Ikea Ferry from the city just to visit this winery on any warm day for one of their delicious wine flights and cheese boards. Red Hook is not close to any subway stations, making it kind of annoying to get to if you don't live in the area, but instead of looking for a day trip outside of the city, I'd say a visit to Red Hook is well worth the trek. Unlike a lot of things in the city, businesses are not overly crowded here, as is the case with Red Hook Winery. It's spacious and with the doors swung open on a warm day you have waterfront views and beautiful light streaming into the wood paneled space. Occasionally they'll have live music there too. The wine flights are a great deal, with 2oz pours per glass. I tried the Rose, Agnes, and a dry Riesling and enjoyed all of them. I don't have the most well versed palate when it comes to wine so my vocabulary to describe the wine starts and ends at "pretty good." If that's good enough for you, you'll likely enjoy a visit.

Came here randomly because we were in the area. Glad we did!! The wines were delicious and service was excellent. They have a red, white, or mixed flight for 18. If you want the full tasting I believe it's 45 for 6. I will definitely come back and they are dog friendly.

This winery is tucked away amongst huge factories. There is little signage and very difficult to find the winery The wine menu is simple with various different wine tastings. The wines themselves were refreshing and pleasant. It was odd that the waitress wanted a credit card upfront right when ordering. The wine flights were delivered with plastic table place mats to label the wine. There was very little explanation from the waitress as to the history of the winery or descriptions of the wine. More just placed them on the table and left. The winery itself was clean and the bathrooms were well kept. Local to the area is that dogs were permitted and at one point dogs were barking excessively echoing through the acoustics of the room. While I would not go out of my way to return, if I was local in the area I would stop in for a little while.

The Red Hook Winery Barrel Room tour was fun, interactive, and informative. We learned about New York's wine regions, the winemaking process, and Red Hook Winery's distinctive approach to winemaking. Our tour guide Emily went above to make everyone feel welcome and heard. I highly recommend the tour and the winery to anyone interested in learning more about winemaking and looking to sample some exquisite New York wine.

Based on the other reviews, they must be more strict and charge cover on busier days or weekends. I plan on coming back here with more family and friends! 5/5 stars!
