    Chicken pot pie

This place can get very busy and it can get kind of hard hearing your party because of everyone chatting around you. There are two areas - the bar and the dining room - both were busy on a Saturday evening. We had a large table in the dining room and while the table was big; the space between the banquette and the table was a bit tight for our party. Valet parking available. Our appetizers and entrees were just perfect and everyone left fulfilled.

We had a nice dining experience. Tommy, our waiter, was great! He gave great recommendations and made the experience better. I liked my drink and my salmon burger and sweet potato fries hit the spot! Both enjoyable! I had pistachio ice cream for dessert but are still not convinced it was pistachio as the receipt said vanilla bean. It was still very good, but not sure. The only things I would change is dim the lights in main dining hall & get better parking. Other than that, enjoyable & I would go back.

Returned to The Oak House in Oradell again last night with my neighbors. So glad that I / we did. The food and the service were excellent. We started with the fresh burrata as an appetizer. We then ordered chicken pot pies (fresh and hot throughout, one of the best ones that I have tasted) and a steak sandwich. We topped it off with a warm chocolate brownie with graham cracker ice cream for dessert. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals from start to finish. Space is large and has a nice decor and separate bar area. Was crowded early and throughout the evening, another good indicator. Recommend a visit. We will be back.

First time here and we decided on Happy Hour which was from 3:00-6:00pm. You can sit at the bar or any of the booths in the bar area. They have a nice size parking lot, so you won't have issues with parking at all. The happy hour menu is delicious and the drinks are mixed perfectly. The bartenders were super attentive and informative about the menu. We did order one thing off the regular menu which was the Tuna Tar Tar and it was insanely delicious. So I have no regrets. We tried the wings, coconut popcorn shrimp & the meatball parmigiana sliders, everything came out hot, fresh and yummy. I had the strawberry margarita and my hubby had two different beers they had on draft. All in all a great find. We will definitely be back again.

Went here with some girlfriends and had a fantastic time! We sat at a table near the bar and our waiter, Tommy, was amazing. He was so fun and attentive--he even knew our names and brought me a hot towel with lemon after we devoured our wings! We started with delicious appetizers, including the wings and the spinach and artichoke dip, which were perfect for sharing among the five of us. We then split the incredible chickpea salad and a burger, both of which were fantastic. My friend loved the spicy rigatoni with burrata, too. To celebrate a birthday, we finished with the decadent brownie sundae. The atmosphere was lovely, and Tommy truly made the experience memorable. We're already planning our next visit!

Attended a dinner for the 1st time on a Tues night. Didn't realize that they offer Happy Hour, but only if you sit at the bar. We had an early dinner at 4pm, so it was not busy, which you would think the service would have been top notch, however, it was slow and they forgot my salad and also took forever to serve their bread pudding, but according to my husband, the bread pudding was worth the wait. Picture attached to show the size.

My husband and I went to the Oak House for Brunch on a snowy Sunday morning and boy were we delighted! The restaurant itself is a gorgeous modern cabin style building and decor. It is both homie and elegant. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. And the food was absolutely delicious. We didn't order any alcoholic beverages even though we went for lunch so I cannot say much about those. But if I had to guess by the quality of the food, those are probably great too. We ordered mozzarella sticks and an artichoke dip for the table. The homemade mozzarella sticks were absolutely delicious. The dip was the least satisfying of our dishes as I found it a little under seasoned, however it was still tasty. I then had the steak sandwich which was phenomenal with a side of addictive sweet potato fries, and my husband had the steak and eggs which he devoured in seconds! And everything was super well priced. We were very pleased with this place and will most definitely be going back soon.

The Oak House has great decor and friendly staff, but If you're looking for a high end restaurant, this is not it. We started off with smash burger egg rolls which were a special. They were alright, the sauce was enjoyable. Next, we shared the spicy rigatoni and it was cooked well and tasted great. My wife got the 10 oz Filet with Brussel Sprouts. The filet was stringy and grossed her out and the brussel sprouts were very undercooked. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye with grilled asparagus. The ribeye was decent and the asparagus was extremely undercooked. For dessert, I ordered an espresso martini with the dessert special. Both were amazing. Overall, I'd go back for apps and cocktails or dessert. For a nice dinner, I'll pass.

Third time back for our annual tradition. Our server was Mike this time and he was excellent! The food is nothing short of delicious. Great for brunch on Sundays.

Visited the Oak House for happy hour on a Sunday. It's located in what used to be a Charlie Brown's Steakhouse. Fortunately, they've retained the parking lot. It's a nice restaurant, with lots of wood furnishings. We ordered drinks and basically everything on the happy hour menu, which included crispy olives, coconut shrimp, meatball sliders, pulled pork tacos, margarita pizza, wings, and cheeseburger egg rolls. My favorites were the cheeseburger egg rolls and wings. The rest was OK. The meatball sliders were a little bit mushy. The drinks i had were also OK. Service was quick. Not my first choice for happy hour, but not one i'd refuse.

Well, I went to The Oak House in Oradell. But before I note my experience, was this restaurant called something else 3 years ago? after the frozen food Charlie Brown was there? Anyways, I wanted something casual but yet chic, where I can still wear heels. Well, this Lake George joint was filled with plaid , cowboy boots and baseball hats. I wore a simple mini dress and high heel boots. Neitherless to say I was super overly dressed. I was blown away by the aspect of the people, very different from what ever this was 3 years ago. The menu was ( Bareburger has a better menu). The drinks Chipotle Jalapeño Margarita tasted as if it was done by my grandson. I ordered the fish tacos, never had such tasteless dry tacos in my life. My boyfriend ordered some type of lasagna with no meat, which probably came from a box. By the way forgot to mentioned that these two Michelin plates took more than 1/2 hour to reach our table. The sitting was different and awkward, and by 9:00 the tables in the front were empty. Overall, what ever this was 3 years ago, I'm not sure what happened, I will never go back. I should have gone to Ridgewood or Ora down the block. Furthermore, I am not sure why Valet parking is needed to eat a burger at this joint. Not worth my outfit, heels and the wasted make up wasted to enter what ever high end Olive Garden this place is.

Great service, and equally great food. The mozzarella sticks are top notch and the chicken parm portion size was equally big as it was good. My wife got the chicken pot pie and loved it as well...we highly recommend making a stop into the Oak House for a meal.

Located in a strip mall (what ISN'T in a strip mall anymore), this little gem is a unicorn. Beautifully lit and decorated, it is understated with a warm cozy vibe with a Latin slant. The menu is short and sweet. I can only comment on the dishes we devoured,, but if those are any indication of the rest of the menu, graze away. The Chicharrons were perfect: tender pork belly w an epic fatty crunch on a slick of garlic aioli. Wings. A huge plate (so seldom seen anymore) w Thai Chili glaze. There are other choices. Balanced and meaty. We should've ordered them uber- crispy, but we know for next time. Delightful. The Cheese Quesadilla was oh-so-cheesy and excellent. We split a burger and it was perfectly stacked and rare and juicy. The fries weren't an afterthought. They were crispy and hot and well-seasoned. Get the Parmigiana Roasted Brussels Sprouts. Oomph, so good. Cocktails are thoughtful. Had the bourbon something on the special menu that sung. The list of Ales offer something for everyone. Carolina was our server and my thanks for recommending that cocktail. Was she reading my diary??? Go. Enjoy. And revel in a little place that should be nestled somewhere in the West Village, but luckily it's here, minus the tolls to NYC. Tip and tip well. We will be back.

He also told us about the parking lot across the club where everyone parks conveniently to visit the club. We went to the club around 11pm, cover was $10 per person. The security at the door was impressive as the security personnel checked our IDs and had metal detector. Upon entering, we saw the club had free for guests to celebrate their 47th anniversary. The club had two floors. Both floor had bars and separate DJs jamming. First floor was more for hangout and gossip. Second floor had the larger dance floor where most people were partying. The DJ on second floor had some really good bits, but at times some dull ones too. There was also security personnel on second floor as well. They also got an outdoor backyard like place with benches and shacks for guests to hangout. Here they also placed a bar for guests to hangout and have drinks. Overall we had a wonderful hour and a half here. We had drinks, lots of dance groves and finally some nice chit chat in the outdoor space. Now that we had the experience, we will come to Feathers more often than going all the way to the city for clubbing.

The pasta was very creamy and enjoyed the flavor. As someone who loves steak and is picky with how I receive it, I had ordered a porterhouse Medium Rare, the first one we received was overcooked to medium well and our server second guessed me when I brought it to attention. He had to call over another worker to double check and we had to ask once again if we were able to get it redone to our liking before even getting it replaced right away. The second porterhouse we received was done correctly and was seasoned well and had enough fat to make it buttery and melty. Espresso Martini was made well and for Whiskey Sours, if you like them on the smokier side, I would recommend it. All in all, we enjoyed all the food but the only set back for us was that we had to wait a little longer for our steak which we wanted to pair with our pasta. We arrived right when they opened (perfect timing, especially with a snowstorm expected later that day), so the restaurant was still quiet. The space has a modern, upscale vibe that definitely feels suited for special occasions. It's located on a busy street, and while they do offer valet, we lucked out with free street parking since it was early. They offer a prix fixe brunch for $39 per person, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. It's a good way to experience the restaurant without committing to a full dinner price point--but be aware that quite a few items come with upcharges, and drinks are not included, so the bill can climb quickly. I do have a gluten allergy, and I was honestly surprised by how limited the gluten-free options were for a restaurant of this caliber. That said, I made it work: I started with a Bellini, had the sizzling slab of bacon as my appetizer, the recovery burger (no bun sub roasted potatoes as a side) as my main, and finished with the salted caramel gelato. Everything I had was enjoyable, but I would have appreciated more flexibility in the menu. The rest of the group (no dietary restrictions) had more variety to choose from and really enjoyed their meals, which is always a good sign. Service was attentive without being overbearing--likely helped by the fact that it wasn't too crowded yet--so we were able to relax and actually enjoy conversation, which made the celebration feel special. The restaurant also has a private back room that looks great for parties, plus a downstairs lounge area, which adds to its appeal as an event space. Overall, for me it's definitely more of a special occasion spot, and while the pricing is on the higher side for what you get, brunch feels like the best way to experience it. I'd come back again--but probably stick to brunch.
