Pretty restaurant
Lisa B.

The food here was delicious. The fettuccine with mushrooms was honestly one of the finest pasta dishes I have ever had. The mushrooms had bite to them. The brown butter sage cream sauce had the most divine blend of herby sage and sherry wine. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it. The gnocchi was tender but had the right bite and the sauce was fresh and delicious. We didn't get appetizers - although when I saw the fried calamari and clams in a garlic sauce come to the table next to me I was very jealous and sad we didn't get one. Oddly, the bread is meh. It was little disappointing such a remarkable restaurant has such bad bread. But than needing to up their bread game, it's a winner. I mighta given it 5 stars if the bread were not deli store hero quality.

Chilean Sea Bass (special )

I've come here a few times times before I just always thought it was average but a family member likes it so we went there for a celebration. The place was really busy. They have a small parking lot in the back, but we opted to park across the street and ShopRite and then walk across. The restaurant was really busy and all tables were full and it was kind of tight. We did have a nice round table for 7 people that we all could talk together. They did not rush us and waitress was pretty attentive. Bread that was complementary was just okay, not warm no olive oil on the table. For appetizer we had scallops wrapped in bacon which I think was the best thing that we ate the whole time. One person in our party had the chicken and she said it was really good. That's her favorite, I had the Chilean Seabass special and it was one of the worst pieces of fishes I've ever had. It was very fishy. This is one of my favorite types of fish so I was very disappointed. My husband had the fettuccine with wild mushrooms. It looked really good, but flavor was not there and it was very very bland. For dessert we had chocolate lava cake, and I didn't get any lava. It was just chocolate cake. They have a bar there however they don't give you any list of suggested cocktails which I thought was strange. Our table ordered glass of wine and a mixed drink and it took 20 minutes to receive it. There are other Italian restaurants in the area that would go to this in the future over here.

Standard run of the mill Italian. Bottled salad dressing, Jarred minced garlic. Not terrible. Portions are large. Salad comes with entree.

Update: I came back to Bosfa after our first visit in December, when one entrée issue kept the…read morenight from being perfect. This Saturday visit was excellent. Reservation was ready, we picked our table, and despite brutal cold weather (and door drafts every time someone walked in), service and pacing were great. They even made the seafood salad from my last visit by special request -- octopus, calamari, shrimp, arugula, lightly seasoned, great portion. Entrées were both strong: * Linguini vongole -- clean white broth, great pasta, solid portion * Pork chop with sweet/hot peppers, broccoli rabe, potatoes -- excellent chop, grilled then finished with tomato sauce and peppers (I usually prefer oil-sautéed peppers, but this still worked well) Interesting crowd difference: last time was a Friday bar crowd, this Saturday was a packed dining room and quieter bar. Excellent return visit. We'll definitely be back.

Foremost, the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with lots of greenery and elegant lighting. Our waiter provided top tier service throughout the night. The appetizers we ordered were perfect shareable bites and so delicious. The homemade focaccia was light and crispy. Perfectly toasted! This comes at the start of your meal for all of the tables. I loved the fried calamari, burrata and prosciutto, and the pear salad. I was most intrigued with the mussel flatbread appetizer. It was topped with a light buttery sauce and garlic. Very good! The meatballs were also a standout for me. In addition to an amazing start to my meal, I loved the cocktail options. From various spritz choices to Negronis, you can tell the cocktail menu was carefully crafted. Verana is known for the best chicken parmigiana. Not only did this dish deliver, but the portion size was unreal. Some of my dining party finished it. However, I have amazing leftovers for today. You have an option to get a side of homemade pasta. I went with the spaghetti. All pasta dishes are made from scratch. Other honorable mentions include the pasta normica and bolognese. Moving on to the sweet dessert options! The cappuccino's had a nice and bold coffee flavor. The pistachio gelato and apple tart were music to my ears! So fresh and really hits any sweet tooth. The tiramisu had a nice pairing of coffee flavor and cinnamon. My first dining experience at Verana will definitely not be my last. I can't stop talking about all of the incredible dishes that my family and I tried. Thank you Verana for an incredible meal!

10/10 Grandma Slice & Cobb Salad Combo…read more Crecco's Café is a hidden gem that delivers big on flavor without breaking the bank. I stopped in for a solo lunch date and ordered the Grandma slice with pepperoni and a drizzle of hot honey--absolutely divine. Crispy crust, balanced sweetness from the honey, and just the right amount of heat. Easy 10/10. I paired it with their Cobb salad, which I customized by swapping in mozzarella for blue cheese, adding red onions and dried cranberries, and removing olives. Tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette--it was fresh, flavorful, and another 10/10. Service was warm and attentive. While there's no dramatic view, they do open up the veranda which makes for a lovely al fresco vibe, especially on a breezy day. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a quiet solo meal or gather with girlfriends over wine (as I saw one chic group doing!). Portions are generous and prices are fair--my entire meal including a Fresca came to about $20. And with a massive menu, there's no doubt I'll be back to try more. Bonus: they offer delivery too, which is tempting now that I've had a taste! Highly recommend for a casual bite with a touch of charm.

I believe our server's name was Abbie (hope I remembered right) she was excellent, and the service overall was amazing. Even the bussers were great.
