Yum! Friendly service, great atmosphere, and fantastic food! Big portions and very tasty! Great sweet potato fries!

Soft Pretzel & Irish Nachos

My friends and I love to come here, especially for apps and drinks! This time, we split the Soft Pretzel and the Irish Nachos. I especially love the cheese that the pretzel comes with--delicious! They also have the best assortment of different fries you can get: shoestring, waffle, beer-battered, steak, or sweet potato! Definitely one of my favorite pubs. The waitstaff is very kind and attentive. If you're looking for the classic pub vibe, I highly recommend Davey's!

Kat with a K was the best bartender ever. Also pathew was sweet but I can tell he is a really good pickle ball player which is weird. Go to this bar.

This is what I was expecting and this is what I got. Microwave or Air fryer can't decide.

It's ok. The bar is always crowded and a bit loud. Standard Irish food. Decor is a little sad and could use some updating.

Finally! A place in my own town that I can rate 5 stars…read more Cooper's is a small pub located in Pearl River. There's street parking around the neighborhood that becomes free after 6. I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!

Linguini B: Rapid Review Renditions - Hearth and Tap…read more All hearth no tap, but could I tap? Not the question. I'm taken, don't be mistaken uhhh. And you're just gonna have to live with that. Kinderkamack. A king of all roads with the notion and the motion... it's provided love potion to the entire county. Early summer days. Luncheon. My lungs are filled with the piney air. Iago is a traitor, but my silence speaks more ample than ever in these moments. Oh how I enjoy the camaraderie but do miss the days of which I could observe rather than participate. Something soothing, suave and suggestive in my serenity. You'll never know about it, Brutus. Anyways. All hearth, no tap. But I've popped a guinny or two here so that's a lie in the more literal term of tap in this scenario. Those who know, know that Hearth and Tap is more than a dive bar. It's a gastropub, of which I've enjoyed from time to time. The food is good. They have good burgers. They have good other stuff. The interior is rustic. It's Smokey from the drizzle and sizzle of cigar smoke. The upstairs rooms are pretty chill. The patio is poppin' with businessmen, businesswomen and locals. Not that I take notice. Nor do I notice them eyeing me down from clavicle to popsicle. Get framemogged son. The moon landing was real and there's nothing you can do about it, narc. Moonmogged. Would be happy to go again. The empanadas would have been very good if cooked a bit longer since they were a bit gummy inside. The shrimp ceviche was served in red sauce and was absent of a decent amount of shrimp. It was tasty but more of a salsa rather than a ceviche. The rib special lacked the promise of the flavors of the chipotle bbq sauce that was promised and described in the menu -- the pork lacked flavor. The chicken Milanese appeared to have been deep fried in a fryer rather than pan fried per tradition. This made the thin slices a bit tough and chewy which was unexpected. Disappointing that I didn't listen to my server who tried to steer me in a different direction as he advised. We haven't been wowed here the last three visits but will give it another shot in a few weeks to see if things have changed for the better. Listen to your servers, people!!

I came here this past Wednesday for lunch with one of my…read moretop-tier chums who lives a few minutes away; I'm pretty familiar with Rockland County but had no idea there was this little area straight out of 1800 over here. Adorable. We were debating between this place and a brunchier establishment across the parking lot, but this won out largely because the sunny outdoor patio area beckoned and it seemed like the perfect spot for our outdoor eating seasonal debut. I always get a little hot and bothered when I see tater skins on an apps menu, so that was an easy call for us. The waiter told us immediately they were "homemade" and not processed - in hindsight, I'm not really sure what would distinguish them as homemade other than that they don't come out of a TGI Fridays box in the freezer, but regardless, they were tasty. A LITTLE overly fried but hard to go wrong with the almighty tater. A lot of the entrees looked intriguing but I impulsively went for the fresh burrata ravioli (a choice that visibly startled my chum, who should really be used to eating with me after all these years, but no matter). Also good - the sauce was a little watery and the accompanying pieces of garlic bread were just okay but it was a solid portion especially for lunch and didn't last long. In hindsight, I don't think this type of dish is really their bread and butter so I'd probably get something else next time, but still ultimately a win. My chum got the Chicken Caesar Wrap from the specials menu and enjoyed it - insisting that I take a picture of that as well. So enjoy that. It's here. In what was an encouraging theme, the dessert section also had a bunch of items that we both were interested in. After finding out that the bread pudding was a little TOO authentic for my palate (aka it had raisins in it), we ordered the Hudson Valley Apple Crisp. Delightful. I think it could have used a little more ice cream, but that was a pleasant palate cleanser. The real star of the show here - among an impressive list of contenders - was the service. We had a fantastic waiter who was very friendly and pleasant, with a lot of thoughts on the menu and restaurant overall. We also a brief visit from presumably someone in management/ownership who stopped by to check in on us, which was a nice touch. We were the only ones out on the patio and possibly in the entire restaurant, so arguably we SHOULD have gotten the lion's share of attention, but still. It was an intangible that legitimately and dramatically improved the overall experience, which is the ideal. I have some residual PTSD from the atrocious restaurant scene in the northern part of Rockland, but places like this ease my trauma considerably. Stick to the southern section.

There is ample seating in both the bar or restaurant side. I usually opt for the bar side because we usually are out before the late night crowd starts to head in. We ordered the big wings for an appetizer in the Carolina bbq but devoured them before I was able to get a photo. They're delicious and fresh and have the perfect amount of sauce to them. I was not super hungry so I just ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was huge I felt I kept eating and didn't even make a dent so I brought it home. My boyfriend ordered their special steak sandwich with a side of fries. He said it was cooked to his medium rare temperature and well flavored. The fries are always extra crispy here too! I have been on an espresso martini kick and it truly is one of the best places for one around. Sweet and simply made. My boyfriend ordered his favorite ipa from the alchemist brewing company that they luckily carried here! Parking can be tricky on weekends so we did have to walk a little bit further but not an issue as it was a nice fall evening. Service is great and I do like that they've added to their menu once you're done with your meal if it's busy they can ask for your table.
