What a great find in Pearl River! Dive genuine Irish bar with fantastic food. We stopped in for early dinner after attending Pearl River day. We both had the 14 oz steak and it was fabulous! So flavorful and cooked to perfect temperature. Loved the fresh veggie medley and choice of potatoe. Service was great and the place had an old rustic feel to it. We went back later in the night and they also had live music. I highly recommend going g here is you have a craving for steak. Wonderful and great value for the money. read more

Typical pub food, but they do it really well. The cook here really knows how to grill meat. It's all very basic, but done just right. Wings are great here, their burgers are the best around. Friendly, convivial atmosphere and they pour a great pint. Exactly what you'd expect in an Irish bar. read more

Murty's Publick House - Best cheeseburger in Pearl River - Sports Bars Near Me - Pearl River, New York

Good (3.4) Service (3.5) Ambiance (3.6) 4 of us arrived at around 6:30 for food and a drink or 2. I enjoyed the Lamb based Shepherds Pie which was huge and tasty yet wife thought the Worcestershire Sauce they -evidently used was overpowering. She had a salad with salmon which was good and friends had the fish and chips and a salad, also very good. All in all the food was good for a traditional Public House in Pearl River where you have a dozen or so other pubs. Waitress was not very informed about beer selection so I ended up with an unpleasant choice to begin with, but we later found the bar tender was great. A very traditional Irish Public House with a handful of booths and tables. In a separated area they have a cozy sized Irish bar with a sufficient choice on tap. . Many were eating at the bar when we arrived yet the tables didn't fill up until after 8PM which was when the live music starts on weekends. The music on Saturday night was fabulous, great entertainment all around. I expected to finish up around 8 but the music and great crowd which filled the bar kept us around until after 10. We had so much unexpected fun that we can't wait to do this again! read more

We tried to go to Josh's Kitchen on a Saturday night, walked in only to find there was no "Josh". Kitchen was closed! hmmmmmm. The gals at the bar saw we were hungry and sent us straight to Murty's. Hallelujah! We were told that the burgers are the best. And they were! Really good tasting beef, the fries were crunchy-delicious, and the coleslaw (yum!). The Chicken Curry (Irish style) was delicious over rice. And my shepherds pie was plentiful and tasty (I took half of it home for tomorrow). THEN we ordered dessert! Chocolate lava cake and cheesecake. Both were fab (I'm a chocolate person, so that was my thing. But everyone liked both.) Great pub, country music, MMA on the TV (I'm sure they all of the important games) and good beer on tap. This is a hidden gem. No line, not crowded and a friendly Pearl River vibe. We'll be back. read more

Happened upon this Pub and was very pleased. A friend and I had dinner last night which was very good also. I had bangers and mash. My lady friend had french onion soup and chicken strips and fries. I thought don't order chicken strips, they are probably frozen from a box. Well to our surprise they were fresh breaded strips and tasty. The bartender she was really very nice to talk to and very efficient having to tend bar and wait on us. Also the beer on tap was served nice and cold. Overall a very pleasant experience and I hope to go back soon again!!! read more

Great food, fun entertainment, take the Pascack Commuter Line there and enjoy and drink safely and responsibly.

Have enjoyed the apps that I've had here and plan to go back again soon to try some of their entrees.

Dan The Man is the best bartender i've ever seen. Great atmosphere and fun bar. Highly recommend this place. Come visit brother Dan!

Stopped by after golf one day for a late lunch pick up. Had one of my best ever grilled chicken Caesar wraps served with Crisp sweet potato fries and some awesome coleslaw side as well. I was very impressed with the extensive lunch menu, dinner menu and specials of the day. Some high-quality food for this great local pub. I'll be back there as soon as I'm able read more

Disgusting attitude. I can't speak for the place itself but the door man was basura. First impression. Barely walked in and were met by the door man with a cold "Can I help you?" My response was "Hello, we are just looking for a friend who may have come in here." He looked us up and down and said " Doesn't look like your friend is in here." Damn skippy I'm glad they weren't in there..you shouldn't be either. read more

We wandered in here to watch some football games since Defiant doesn't have TVs. It was an easy choice sine they had a free buffet at halftime! The food was pretty good and I really enjoyed the burger, The beer was a decently priced and they had Defiant and few other craft brews on tap. There were plenty of TVs to choose from so we saw all the games at once which I love. I'm not in the Pearl River area often but I will certainly stop in Murtry's again if I want to visit Defiant, read more

Owners, workers and crowd is phenomenal. The steak and entire menu is delicious. Can't recommend this place enough!

Unbelievable steak!!! So shocked to have such a delicious steak and sides at this pub. I was expecting a typical burger and brew menu. We went twice and both times it was a 10/10. read more

We had an event at Murty's last night and it was amazing!!!!! James and Sharon are incredible and generous and kind. The food is delicious, the service is right on point and the atmosphere is wonderful. I recommend you take some time and visit!!!! read more

Unfortunately last night we didn't have the best experience. The security guard was extremely rude, not sure if he was having a rough night or what but made our time very unfortunate and ruined how we look at the place. read more

A group of around 12 of us went out for a birthday celebration and went to go here but my one friend got denied because she had a PA license. Instead of the bouncer being nice and saying they don't accept PA licenses he was a complete asshole and then we said we were all going to leave and he clapped as we walked out of the door. The place was not crowded inside and now maybe I know why. Only giving 1 star since you can't give zero. read more

Owner very personable. The bar has that wonderful irish pub feel with the all wood bar accented with stained glass. Didn't have any food. Guinness and Harp on tap along with the "norm" domestics. I would definitely make this one of my usual hangouts if i didnt live 3 hrs away. read more

Stopped in here with a girlfriend. Bar was busy but the owner made it a point to say hello and made us feel welcomed. Prices are fair and the food was great! Shepherd pie is to die for! I'll definitely be back with my family! read more

Love Murty's! As far as i'm concerned, this bar is the last of a dying breed! Great bartenders, who are fun, charismatic people that take a genuine interest in their customers. They have a pool table, a fire place...it's just an all around good vibe. If you want to capture the true spirt of Pearl River, this is the place! And it is a damn good looking crowd! haha read more

We were in town for Pearl River Day which was great but wanted to get away from the crowds so we happened upon Murty"s Publick House. What a gem! From the mahogany bar to the stone fireplace in the back we felt like we were in an old Irish pub. We started with the Irish Nachos which we were told were hand cut potato chips topped with Irish sausage, bacon and cheddar cheese sauce-Amazing! Kathy had the Fish and chips which she said were delicious and I had Shepherd's pie- wow!- took half of it home as it was huge. Washed it down with a few Sam Octoberfests which were great too. All in all a great experience and we cant wait to go back again. read more
