Made reservations for brunch, but wasn't needed. The place was rather quiet on Sat, but it was also freezing outside. Got a cozy window seating and loved the ambiance thanks to their floral interiors along with holiday ligthing right next to our table. Noise levels on the quiet side and easy to have conversations. They have a decent kids menu, and the Chicken Fingers ($10) were perfect for our little one. Huevos Rancheros ($19), and Vegetarian Omelette ($19) which was served with home fries and tossed salad was a good portion. Kimbo Coffee ($4.25) was actually pretty good although would've loved it to be warmer. Refills were slow to come. Food was inline with our expectations. Food arrived within 8-10 mins of placing our order, so yeah, really quick! Our initial server/waiter wasn't that attentive but their crew members were definitely more alert. Overall, pretty decent experience.

Was in the area so stopped by The Ellington for a late brunch on a Saturday afternoon when the restaurant was relatively quiet. We had the Ellington burger and a California Omelette. The burger came out a little dry but not bad and the omelette was okay. Spacious restaurant with a bit of a rustic atmosphere.

5 Stars! We had a great experience here. Perfect service, food, great atmosphere and they have live music on some nights. Prices are fair for Manhattan as well. A special shout out to Valeria who was one of the best servers I've experienced in any restaurant I've been to. She was attentive, gave great suggestions, wax checking to make sure everything was perfect and did not rush is. They have a beautiful bar area with plenty of seating. Nice selection of wines, liquor and beer. For starters we shared the shrimp dumplings, the house warm cornbread, the roasted rainbow and carrot & cauliflower. They were all "fantastic"!! For entrees we had the sweet chilly glazed salmon, the grilled filet mignon. They were both done exceptional well. For desert we had the mini donuts. They are filled with vanilla cream & caramel dipping sauce and powered sugar. I would highly recommend the Ellington for an exceptional experience if you are looking to dine on the Upper West Side.

I enjoyed a really nice Thanksgiving meal here. The place was beautifully decorated. We had a pre-fixed Thanksgiving meal so I'm not sure what the regular menu is like but I'm sure it's just as good. We ordered two fish dishes (salmon and swordfish) and they were both delicious. The only thing I didn't really like was the rolls were ice cold and so was the butter. Wasn't something I was excited to eat on a cold Thanksgiving evening. The table next to mine was reserved for people who were dining alone and I noticed the waiters and owners made a point to chat with them and make sure they were okay. I look forward to coming here again one day.

Quite a nice brunch spot; everything was made well and very tasty. Personally, I felt nothing we ordered was too fancy or overly expensive. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, Beyond Burger, and Chocolate Belgian Waffle, and while I didn't think anything was out of the ordinary in terms of flavor, it was a good value for the cost. Service was fine and we didn't need to wait at all for a table at 10am on a Saturday, so my experience with the Ellington was great. 8.5/10, I'd certainly go back again.

Wow!! What a pleasant experience we had with Veronica. She made sure our drink orders were perfect and checked on us frequently and was quite personable. The music here is the ideal volume, enjoyable but not too loud. The Old Fashions were perfect. We didn't eat here but the food looked very inviting.

I always loved this place and still do. However, I went for brunch today and ordered the California omelette. I'm not a big eater so it really was enough food but it barely filled the plate. Could they have skimmed anymore on the home fries? The omelette was also only half the size of a normal omelette. Also the side salad was starting to turn brown. And no toast...again, enough food for me but for $21 I just thought it was a disappointment.

I had a good time here with wifey at brunch, very vibey. The grand piano was a great touch. I had the huervos rancheros and wifey had the peanut butter and chocolate waffle. Mimosas to the face and good food, can't ask for more.

Outdoor seating for Mother's Day brunch

Our waiter, Nahid, made my Mother's Day extra special! He was attentive, friendly, and committed to ensuring we had a hospitable experience for brunch. Thank you and cannot wait to return when we are in Manhattan again.

Do they still have live music during brunch?

    Is there heated outdoor dining?

Sort of; there are outdoor tables with or without an awning (depending on weather) but there is plenty of room inside between the Straus room and the main dining room. If there is live music, inside is definitely better.

The Food: * Starters: The hummus and muhammara with pita were great. They also gave us bread with EVOO--it looked perfectly crusty on the outside and soft in the middle, and it tasted just as good as it looked! * Mains: I couldn't decide between lamb and salmon. The waiter suggested lamb, but I went with the salmon and it was the best decision. The citrus sauce on top was divine! Wish it came with rice instead of just veggies (though the veggies were tasty). The Service: The staff was friendly and service was good, but a heavy language barrier made it hard to understand the waiter, so he wasn't very helpful with menu questions. Overall, a great experience. I'd definitely come back later in the evening to catch the live music!

We had a dinner around 8pm on Friday but the restaurant was not busy at all. It appears it used to be a cuban restaurant but v the owner changed and became a Mediterranean. The menu was very simple and it was a BYBO. We told our server that we wanted to share every dishes. We really liked the hot crusty bread served with a spread and it also tasted good with babaganoush. The pita bread was stale and burnt which came out with the babaganoush. The beet goat cheese walnut was refreshing. The fried calamari was crispy and went well with tahini based sauce. The lamb shishi kebob was tasty but the portion was very small and it was chewy. There was too many overcooked carrots as a side. You coould park on the street or valet parking was available.

Held at the beautiful rooftop garden at Rockefeller Center overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral, the setting alone was worth the trip. As the sun set behind the Manhattan skyline, guests were treated to an evening that felt equal parts whiskey education, culinary experience, and celebration of American craftsmanship. The WhistlePig team put together an outstanding lineup of cocktails and rare whiskey pours, each thoughtfully paired with a multi-course dinner. Every course felt intentional, from the beautifully presented appetizers and seasonal produce to the perfectly cooked beef course and creative dessert finale. The food wasn't just an accompaniment to the whiskey it stood on its own. One of the highlights of the evening was host Max Miller of Tasting History. His storytelling added depth and context to each pour, connecting American history, whiskey culture, and the culinary experience in a way that kept the entire table engaged. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. The tablescape, service, pacing, glassware, cocktail program, and overall guest experience were executed flawlessly. Nothing felt rushed, and every element contributed to the story of the evening. WhistlePig continues to prove why they are one of the most innovative names in American whiskey. This wasn't simply a tasting event it was an immersive experience that celebrated history, hospitality, and craftsmanship at the highest level. Yes, the views are amazing, however the weather has to be just perfect. Especially if you plan to use the outdoor patio. Which, why wouldn't you? The space itself is not for large groups, wedding party size approximately 50. Plus the wait, bar & other service staff. The location is prime, if you plan to take a car, remember this is NYC & traffic is bad. You can probably walk faster than a cab or car service. Especially during the month of December. NYC gets more visitors in December than all year long. The venue has 2 bathrooms for women which is not good, however worked for this crowd. Think of this location as a once in a lifetime, only if you have the funds for this location. As guests we were thrilled to be invited to such a lavish wedding!

He mentioned to me that he knows a place in the neighborhood that has really good burgers. I usually go to my familiar spots, but I figured the way he was talking this place up for their burgers, I might as well give it a shot. Why not right? So we enter "Nobody Told Me", which is a new venue in the neighborhood, at least to me. It was cool. We sat at the bar. I asked for a menu and the Bartender just pointed to the menu that's on the wall. So I made my selection of Burger. I'm honestly probably a boring Burger person because for the most part I just like meat, cheese and bun. I mean, a nice fried egg over easy doesn't hurt. I've also done that with some mac & cheese, and it was incredibly delicious but also, very gluttonous to say the least. lol. In any case, I ordered my burger. Meat, cheese, and bun. I think it was a double Patti Smashburger maybe? And it came with some fries. The burger was good. It was actually better than what I expected. It was juicy without being all bloody and had flavor. It was also a pretty good size.. I mean I couldn't finish it.. I don't eat huge portions or meals.. The fries were good too. I might request a bit more crisp on the fries if I go back. That's just me.. But they were good nonetheless. Burger and fries also had a bit of a lite oniony flavor to them.. I guess to add some flavor.. As far as the vibe in the spot, it was cool. Room was dim as it was day time outside so it was chill. Seemed to be a pretty young crowd of new people who have recently moved in the neighborhood. Who knows? I've only lived here for 50 years.. but it was a cool experience.. They had some cool music playing lightly so you can carry a convo.. In any case, if you are looking for a pretty good burger, I'd give this place a try.. And there you go! Have a great one yall! -Ray
