Both the radish and the squid were actually really good as well. I've found it hard to find choong moo kimbap and I was so happy to find it. The spicy rice cake tasted like what I had when I was growing up long time ago in Korea, and that's a complement because most restaurants make it a more modern style that is sweeter. The price on spicy rice cake was good at $4 for the container but wish the choong moo kimbap were a little bit cheaper, but it's understandable given rising costs. The couple that were working there provided a pretty quick service to check out. It has a hole in the wall ambiance that really takes me back to my really young years when I lived in Korea. I'll definitely be back.

We got connected to Stephen on a whim and in under a weeks notice, he catered a Friendsgiving dinner party for 7. Everything in the photos are gluten & dairy free), was transparent during grocery purchasing, and dropped everything off....including finishing the unbelievable garlic and Rosemary potatoes at our place so that they'd be extra crispy. He does weekly meal plans, caters events small & large, and is a pleasure to work with. Roaring 20s dinner parties are back in style - and we get to enjoy them knowing Stephen has us more than covered. Ps: ask about his pies. We've DEVOURED his pumpkin and bourbon chocolate pecan pies. The Perilla Seed and Mushroom Sundubu was the highlight of the meal; the broth and tofu texture were perfect. We also tried the LA Galbi, which had a great char and delicious flavor, though the meat was a bit on the tough side. The shrimp and leek pancake tasted excellent, but be aware it's a bit small for the $20 price point. I'd personally skip the steamed dumplings next time to save room for more soup! The service is wonderful--the staff is so attentive it feels like being served by your own grandma. Plus, they take InKind, which made the payment process seamless

We were warmly greeted by an older Korean woman and given the most delicious hot tea upon sitting. She was very helpful with making our food choices. Cho Dang House specializes in homemade tofu, so we knew that we wanted to try it. We ordered the Seafood and Tofu Soup and the Tofu Bossam. A very nice and tasty selection of banchan was served after we ordered. The Soup was served absolutely boiling, with a bowl of rice. Shrimp, clam, and squid blended with the soft tofu in a divine red broth. I am still craving this dish days later. Fantastic flavor and textures! The Tofu Bossam is a large platter filled with tender pork belly, tofu, and kimchi rolls. Eaten all together, it is a perfect bite. Fatty, silky, crunchy - just a flavor bomb. I thought that we might have ordered too much, but we managed to polish off both plates. We just couldn't stop! I can't wait to return and try more of the menu!
