We've hosted numerous events here and used them to cater other events. But what made me finally…read morewrite a review was after we had the fish and mixed vegetables catered for a luncheon event yesterday. First it should be said that it was a real pleasure to interact with everyone there. From father to son to various other folks that help there. Anyway - about yesterday - we got two large pans of the fried fish and a large pan of the mixed vegetables. I was the organizer for the luncheon and so didn't get to eat. The fish as usual was just fantastic (their fried fish is "A--mazing" as my friend put it). But the mixed veggies didn't get eaten (the luncheon was Jamaican themed and we had two other Jamaican vegetables there as well). So I brought the veggies home with me. Because I didn't eat all day I was pretty famished when I get home. I don't know if it's the Danish or Italian in me or just maybe because my father was this way - but when I'm hungry I just eat stuff without warming it (all kinds of stuff). So I dipped a fork into the, now cold, veggies and O M G - the veggies were just amazing. So I heaped a plate full of cold veggies and scarfed it down. It was so good that I had to call LaNeves to let them know. I also scarfed down about 4 pieces of fried fish (cold also). It was so good. You can just imagine how delicious it is when all fresh and warm, especially if it that good cold. So I'm going on about the veggies - but the fried fish is even better - you just have to try it. Sooooooooo good. I recommend this place for your events (both dining in and catering). The food is outstanding and the service is fantastic. Oh, and by-the-way, all the food was ready on schedule. Hot and fresh! You just gotta try it.

Visited for the first time last weekend and had a fest night out with friends for one of my…read moregirlfriend's birthdays. The place is very cute inside with different seating areas, multiple bars and a closed in outdoor patio with heaters which is where my friends and I partied the night away. We arrived around 10 pm and the place was mostly empty, but as the hours passed, the place got packed! We attended on a Latin night and I actually loved the good mix of music - it was mostly Spanish music, but not all. I really liked how we did not have to pay for bottle service for a table, because most other places require it in order to have a seat or table. The drinks are fairly priced, however, the hookah was a whopping $42. So we opted out of that. Maybe that's how much the price is now but I remember back in the day paying $25 for a hookah. I had a great night out and definitely will return. Thank you for a great night, 46 Lounge!

Being used to places like Illusions at the Sheraton Mahwah as well as the Limelight and Webster Hall, the NYE advertisement made it far larger than it actually is. Paid $100 for open bar and buffet - which is super reasonable but we would have preferred a table but none were available. Getting drinks throughout the night was not a problem - always prompt and friendly. The buffet was actually quite good which included jumbo shrimp, sushi, Spanish food , Italian, and lots of appetizers which were pretty good. In the beginning, we thought it was a bad idea coming as it was quite empty at 8pm. By 10:30, it was quite busy and at 11:30, packed to the limit. They served midnight champagne, party favors, and were quite well staffed. The BIG issues.... It was open bar. So I probably had at least 12-15 drinks. I would be normally plastered for drinking so much (and I don't normally drink very much). I just wanted a slight buzz so that I would enjoy the constant dancing. I always saw them pour at least 1 shot of alcohol per drink. I wasn't even slightly buzzed or drunk for that matter. Leads me to believe they watered down the bottles. I can't prove anything but the fact we drank so much all night with no effects leads me to wonder. Second, with hundreds of people and 1 women's bathroom with 2 stalls, my wife was was holding it in instead of waiting for a 30 minute + line. In the end, we did enjoy the NYE party very much. $100 is pretty reasonable but with alcohol issues, I would skip the place if that is important yo you.

When we picked it up, we politely asked if they could add more filler to make it look fuller and even said we'd PAY extra for it. Instead, the two rude women working there acted like we insulted their life's work. One of them actually took the bouquet apart in front of us, barely moved anything around, then tied it back even tighter so it looked smaller than before. Their attitudes were absolutely disgusting -- they acted like they worked at Chanel instead of a mediocre flower shop selling grocery-store quality roses. And somehow they had the audacity to charge $83 for a dozen roses that looked worse than the bouquets you can buy at ShopRite for half the price. Honestly, ShopRite flowers look more professional and cared for than this mess. I ended up having to completely redo the bouquet myself at home and go buy extra filler because they clearly couldn't be bothered to do the bare minimum for such an important occasion. The photos speak for themselves -- it's painfully obvious which bouquet came from this place. -1000 stars for both quality and customer service. Rude, lazy, overpriced, and completely unhelpful. Save your money and make your own bouquet because these people clearly do not care about their customers or their work.

When I walked into the church, the first thing I said was how sparce the arrangment looked. She had the arrangement quite a bit higher than the urn, but did not fill in with flowers. She used white roses, which had a green tint. According to her that was because of the species of the rose. Four days later, three of the roses rotted at their base and fell of the stems. The blue delphinium had some blooms, but alot of stringy areas with buds, but no blooms. The arrangement did not look at all like the picture.
