Cafe from all the way in the back looking out to entrance

Ok, lived in this town for over 20 years and finally a cute cafe opened up to the public! Came here after dropping off my son and initial reaction was "omg SO CUTE". The place was inviting and aesthetically pleasing with this beautiful purple colored wall and a floral arrangement toward the back of the restaurant. You walk in and there are a few bench seating to the right hand side and you're led to a bigger seating area up a short flight of stairs. We ordered our food and drink and in the back. My husband and I ordered a croffle which is like a croissant/waffle mixed together and it was delicious!! The fruits were fresh and mixed in so well with the warm croffle. The croffle was cooked perfectly where it wasn't too crunchy making taste too overcooked. My husband loved his bacon and cheese one (I think that's what it comprised of) and said it was one of the best breakfasts he's tasted! This was a great place to stop and grab a cup of coffee as well and a nice place to sit down with a friend or two for a quick meet up! I wish this was located in a bigger place and not in the Main Street. Parking is In the back but very limited to a few cars. This is a perfect place to stop by for a quick drink and to grab some items to go! The service was great- we had our food brought to our table and as we were leaving, the girl at the registered thanked us and apologized that she didn't get a chance to check on us during our stay (which was totally fine- she was working the register!) Will definitely come back here being so close to our house and our son's school!

THE CUBAN SANDWICH ! Aside from a beautiful space with the friendliest staff around tuned in saddle brook is the sleeper hit you'd ever expect from a cafe. The Cuban sandwich. The pork is so juicy , the bread is incredible and the plantain and Maduro chips on the side are the perfect accompaniment.

Just visited and had a nice experience. The owner came over and greeted us and checked on our order We had a waffle with fruit, lemonade with mint that was refreshing My friend had the pork sandwich which she thought was great It's nicely decorated and clean. Definitely worth a visit.

Tried this new cafe on my way home. They have parking which is great since they are on a main road. The inside is super cute and def picture worthy. Service was good. Greeted upon entering and then made a great recommendation when I asked for one. I got the coconut latte and it was so good. If you like coconut this one is it for you! Sweet yet strong. Great value for the price especially in today's economy. Will be coming back in the future to try other items. I also love that God is in their decor.

Cafe Baires - Dulce de leche pastry and iced latte

Cafe Baires

(19 reviews)

Cafe Baires is a must visit if you're in downtown Hackensack! It's an Argentinian bakery and coffee…read morehouse serving freshly brewed espresso beverages and authentic pastries. They've only been open for a year or so, but have been very successful! I've visited a few times and have never been disappointed. The interior is cozy and chic, with Argentinian-inspired decor like navy blue accents, lush greenery, wooden tones, leather couches, and wall art of Buenos Aires. There are two floors with seating and lounge areas. It truly feels like you're in someone's comfy living room! The cafe is part of an apartment building that used to be a bank, so there are high ceilings and arched windows. The owner, Jeremias, added thoughtful touches to make the cafe a welcoming and inviting space for customers. They have free wifi, outlets, dog treats, and crayons for kids! The menu offers your classic espresso beverages as well as seasonal and specialty drinks. My all-time favorite is the dulce de leche latte. I've had it hot and iced. They both taste amazing, but I prefer it hot. The steamed milk froth is the perfect texture - silky and creamy with micro foam bubbles. They have a machine that prints out cute messages/latte art on the surface :) The drink itself has a good balance between espresso, steamed milk, and dulce de leche sauce. If you need that strong cup of coffee that will keep you energized, you came to the right spot. The espresso is bold, rich, smooth, and well balanced with the caramelized, milky sweetness of the dulce de leche. They have a variety of popular Argentinian pastries like medialunas, vigilantes, bolas, sacramentos, margarita pasteleras, empanadas, and more. Everything is baked with love, freshly made in-house, and delicious! You cannot go wrong with trying any of them. The dough is flaky, buttery, and fluffy. Nothing is overly sweet. If you're a fan of dulce de leche (caramelized milk jam), you're in the right place because many of the pastries are filled with it. And if you've never tried it before... you must!!! Don't forget to grab an empanada, especially the beef! The dough is flaky, tender, and stuffed with a ton of meat. The filling consists of ground beef, onions, bell peppers, hard-boiled eggs, and spices (cumin, paprika, oregano). The beef is juicy, savory, and seasoned with warm spices for a touch of heat. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and personable. They have a lot of loyal/regular customers (rightfully so) and there's a genuine sense of community here. This is the type of spot that will remember your face, name, and order. It's not easy to find great customer service nowadays. Drinks crafted with care, fresh pastries, warm service, and a cozy environment? Now that's the type of cafe that I will keep coming back to over and over again. Stop by Cafe Baires if you want a taste of Argentina!

It has so much potential. I mean like to come in regularly and all.. too many inconsistencies. Food is delicious. Out of trying 5 meals, 4 were a hit. Steak and Eggs are delicious! Beet juice is refreshing and made to order. Service was spectacular. Now, what grinds my gear is this "fall menu". Clearly stated, drinks can be made hot or cold. Except, thats not true. I order a hot banana latte -- they couldn't make it hot saying, "it tastes different and bad". Ok. So we go through the many with our waitress of ones I cannot order hot, and end up with the carrot cake latte. Tasted nothing near of carrot cake, but was ok for me. It tasted like a latte, and was warm which checked off my box. Strawberry Matcha was really nice also as a warm beverage, however they kept trying to advise me against ordering. Will be back, just not as frequently as I was hoping.

Food is always simply amazing. I have the chicken parm plate which was suggested by the server and it did not disappoint! It was as good as the pic looks! I drank the peach mango lemonade which was refreshing and I'm glad I didn't add extra sugar because it was a perfect amount of sweet. Overall I'm always happy about going to Bite because it's good vibes and great food.
