    Chicken parm

This was my first time at the Hackensack location and for a Sunday lunch it was not so busy. We got seated right away and the servers were friendly and greeted me and my friend with smiles. Food is always simply amazing. I have the chicken parm plate which was suggested by the server and it did not disappoint! It was as good as the pic looks! I drank the peach mango lemonade which was refreshing and I'm glad I didn't add extra sugar because it was a perfect amount of sweet. Overall I'm always happy about going to Bite because it's good vibes and great food.

Breakfast sandwich cut in half. In comes with a lot more potatoes than this.

Always looking for new places to try in the area. Never would have expected this in a random location. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of day near the hospital. The food and staff were great. If I find myself visiting the hospital will keep this place in mind.

Had a chance to visit for lunch on a Sunday. Their menu is deep like a diner which was good for our group. ended up trying the brunch burger which came with a perfectly cooked runny egg and a side of fries. Pumpkin latte was delicious, too. My wife had the short rib omelette which was massive. Definitely a great experience and service was awesome. Very attentive.

Upgraded Truffle fries; hard as heck.

Tried to give this place another chance. We dined in instead. Chic place trying to look hip with pricey meals. I ordered the Burger Au poivre and iced lavender latter. I went with the burger because the egg item I wanted (southern eggs Benny) didn't come with a side For the price. So I ordered this burger that was questionable. It was over-slapped with sauces and flavors that did not work. It was drowning in sauce. For four dollars more, I upgraaded to truffle fries. The fries were hard; not crispy, or burnt, but hard to bite and chew. $60 dollars between my husband's meal (also no side), his and my coffee, and my burger. Saving grace was the coffee. Doubt I will come again.

The quesadilla tasted good, but it came completely melted and stuck together due to the to-go packaging. Better boxing would help keep it from getting soggy. Also, during my visit, my son accidentally knocked over a sign and an employee made a comment that didn't feel very professional. I understand accidents happen, but I would have appreciated a more understanding response. Overall, I hope improvements can be made.

I ordered for takeout a hot honey chicken Caesar wrap with onion rings and chipotle aioli. Chipotle aioli was really good! However, the wrap was just ok. Its supposed to be to have crispy hot honey chicken in it but it was soggy ( no crisp) so in my mind i thought, well thats a waste of calories! The onion rings was like biting into oil, which i was disappointed because they looked so good! Also , the mediterranean salmon bowl ( took home) was just not working for me. The flavors/ingredients in it I feel did not mesh well together.

The ambiance in this spot is full of IG vibes. Some cute breakfast vibes. The menu is so vast and so innovative, Slutty Chai, yes please. I ordered so much from the menu and went home with much of all of it. But the top items were the French toast and those potatoes with queso were amazing. The drinks here were also really good. I had a strawberry passion fruit drink and it was refreshing and fruity. It's definitely a cute breakfast spot.

I went here before hitting a road trip and picked a matte latte with oat & a BEC (with turkey bacon.) I was thrilled to find out that this restaurant is halal. The matcha latte was okay it could be better, maybe more powder ratio to water. The BEC was really good!! And it came with a side of hash browns which was great, so crispy. Came back second time after completing the road trip and ordered pick up. We got a bunch of pizzas, a salad and I also got the burrata burger. The burrata burger was so fire, I don't know what they did but I never had something like that. Next time I want to try the mac and cheese burger, seems like you can't order that online.

Bite's Huevos Rancheros for a lovely lunch! I have a primarily no pork diet so finding certain dishes with no pork but still having the same satisfaction is hard. I've had a burger with really good turkey bacon before and now this! The chorizo is turkey and the rest played lovely together. Looks like a lot of sauce but with the amount of potatoes it'll even it out! The food was good and surprisingly it did have a good spice to it. A bit confusing on how seating works because no one works as a host, you just kind of have to look for your own table, but once you do they are quick to help! I had the almond crunch smoothie as well and I loved it. Perfect texture and taste. Honestly both are very filling, so I had a second lunch from all the leftovers! 10/10 would go back again and try another item on the menu!

I'm thoroughly impressed by how this Bite managed to make a simple takeout order extremely annoying and time consuming; this was my first and certainly last time visiting the Hackensack location. Since it was Father's Day, I did a DoorDash order for pickup. Upon arriving, I went inside and didn't see any clear indicator of where to go to retrieve pickups. There were customers ordering at a register off to the side of where they make drinks, so I stood there waiting to finally get to the front. I said I was picking up an order only to be told that they don't do order pickups there and I need to go to the front after all of that unnecessary waiting. There is a small stand by the entrance area where I did not see a half-covered sign indicating to go there for picking up orders. There was a group of people standing in front of that sign, so I never would have seen it had the barista not mentioned it. Not that this mattered at all because there was no host/hostess available; there were staff members running around and they were avoiding the entrance area like it was a bad ex. I finally went back to the barista I spoke to and asked if there's anyone working over there because nobody came by. They managed to flag down one of the workers who finally gave me my food. Mind you, there was a line of people forming behind me with no one even getting names or providing wait times to be seated. I have never seen anything like this at any eatery. I have always had great experiences visiting the Fair Lawn location, so this was beyond disappointing. Hats off to this disorganized chaos for managing to irritate me quicker than my congealed quesadilla did.

Stopped by for a dirty matcha latte to go. There are a lot of signage which can be confusing. (Attached to this review). The spot inside is a pretty chill vibe over all. From what I expected they keep the ac on blast which could be a good or bad thing depending on the weather. My matcha latte Togo was not as ordered and was just horrible which I'm so surprised because other reviews described how good their coffee was. I order mine with oat milk and definitely got almond milk. The coffee tastes. Watered down as well. Not sure why but I went out of my way to try this spot out and it was not it. I gave a two star rating because the staff was very friendly.

Was able to get seated right away without a wait on a Saturday morning. Lots of indoor seating, cute indoor decor, music is a little loud. Their espresso was very well made and specialty lattes were delicious. They have tons of options for vegetarians/ vegans. I ordered an egg white omelet, vegan burrito and blueberry pancake. All were fresh and delicious. Will definitely be coming back here!

Looking for something healthy and different for brunch/lunch? Pop over to BITE. In an area devoid of a respectable place to eat near the hospital, this should be your go to when visiting someone at HUMC. Decor vibes modern boho chic and very comfy with an awesome playlist. Service was genuinely nice which made for a comfortable I rushed meal. The coffee and teas were yummy and the food was perfectly portioned, seasoned and spot on temperature. The home fries were next level! Simple, quick and sufficient. Go ahead and have a BITE!

How's the parking? I think I saw it is limited to only 30m?

I'm not sure if it's limited to 30 mins but the number of spaces are limited. The lot is shared with a large medical office and a bunch of shops on the ground floor. There seems to be contraction always happening there too.

Does this restaurant use halal meat?

    They serve halal chicken

Is the seating area good for doing work?

Totally! There's enough room for yourself and a few friends - best part is they have free WIFI

Can you substitute or add ingredients to salad, juice, or smoothie to customize it? Thanks?

I don't know, I didn't order any of those items yet.

Came here on a Friday night, walked inside the bar not knowing the restaurant entrance is on the parking lot, people were nice to point us through the kitchen to the restaurant. The place is very interesting, a lot of different artwork and decor. They serve complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Started off with the Cowboy Calamari ($19.95) and it was delicious. The calamari was nice and crispy, it was drizzled with some sort of sweet sauce. This was actually the highlight of the night, I highly recommend getting this. For my main, I ordered the 12 oz ribeye ($24.95) with onion rings ($4). The ribeye was bigger than 12 oz, it was huge. I got it medium but it came out medium rare, which if fine with me. The ribeye was good and very filling, just know you get what you pay for. I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.

She was very attentive and made our meal pleasant and comfortable. I started with a Blood Orange Margarita (Calirosa 'Rosa Blanca' Tequila, orange liqueur, fresh sour, blood orange). This drink was VERY GOOD. The hint of blood orange was the perfect amount of sweetness and I was content with my selection. The appetizer was the Slow-Roasted Meatballs (porcini-dusted veal, pork, grass-fed beef, tomato-basil sauce, brick-oven bread). Each meatball was tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and the sauce was sufficient to accompany every forkful of the delicious starter. The entrees were: Caramelized Sea Scallops (broccolini, mascarpone risotto). Next was the Seasonal Brick-Oven Gnocchi (roasted mushrooms, truffle oil, roasted tomatoes, Marsala and provolone sauce, green onions). The final entree was the Mediterranean Wood-Grilled Chicken Salad (arugula, toybox tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions, chickpeas, quinoa, feta, lemon dijon vinaigrette). For dessert, Seasons 52 graciously offered a free dessert for my birthday. Another nice touch that places Seasons 52 on a pedestal. I chose the Key Lime Pie Mini (graham cracker crust, whipped cream). The mini dessert was deliciously sweet, the graham crust provided an appreciated different texture, and I highly recommend these mini selections.

A quick heads-up: on Google Maps it's listed as Ceviche 517, but the sign on the building says Tavern 517, which initially threw us off. We were circling around until we decided to just trust the physical address--and we're so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, the name didn't even matter anymore. The decor is stunning--definitely has an upscale, Instagram-worthy vibe with a modern lounge feel. We might've come a little early because the place was quiet when we arrived, but that worked in our favor as we got to settle in comfortably and explore the menu. Drinks were a mixed experience. We tried the margarita flight, which included coconut, passion fruit, and strawberry. The coconut and passion fruit margaritas were absolutely delicious--fresh, balanced, and memorable. The strawberry, however, was a big miss--tasted like kid's medicine and no one at the table could finish it. We also ordered a drink called something like Chicola--it had ginger ale, lime juice, and some type of liquor, and unfortunately, it was another one we couldn't get through. The flavors just didn't mix well, and everyone at the table agreed it was a no for us. On the flip side, the Perfect Mule with a strawberry twist, the Henny Mojito, and a bold and fun drink called No Sheets were much better received. Menus are displayed on sleek tablets, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the in-house menu offered way more options than what's listed online. And the food? Absolutely excellent. The Tallarín Saltado with vegetables was beyond delicious--we placed it in the center so everyone could dig in. The ceviche flight was fresh and flavorful, and the jalea (a fried seafood platter) didn't last long on the table either. One friend had the larger ceviche bowl paired with a mojito and already asked to come back just for that combo. Even the kid's arroz chaufa with chicken impressed us, with a big enough portion for leftovers. If there's one thing that fell flat, it was the atmosphere--at least early in the evening. When we arrived, the music playing sounded like retro video game tunes, but thankfully it transitioned into upbeat Spanish hits, including some great bachata that gave the space some energy. All in all, despite a few drink misses and a quiet start, this spot is a gem. The food alone is worth the trip, and we're definitely planning to return--next time a little later in the evening to hopefully catch a livelier vibe!

Cute little place at the lower level next to Homegoods and where Ele8vation gym. Ample amount of seating outside which is nice for families with young kids. We were seated inside toward the back of the restaurant which was more spacious than I expected. A server didn't come until about 10 minutes after getting seated, and we weren't offered waters or anything- probably cuz they offered coffee instead. Rather than getting hot coffee, my husband and i opted for the mint mocha latte which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The mint wasn't too overwhelming and the chocolate wasn't too sweet. I went for the "traditional" which was the two eggs, breakfast potatoes, choice of meat, and bread. I got my son a chocolate chip pancake which was MASSIVE and he clearly didn't finish, but he did have all the bacon and a few bites. Our server was super sweet and food came out pretty quick. They started getting really busy when we left around 9ish so I was happy we got there early. They started having someone take down names and tons of people were waiting outside. The only thing I didn't like were the cushion chairs that probably needs a good deep cleaning and some vacuuming of the crumbs, but otherwise everything was delicious and service was great. Will definitely come back again, EARLY to make sure I don't have to wait with an inpatient 6 year and 1 year old!

You know it's a win when the table goes quiet because everyone's too busy enjoying their food. It's also the perfect spot to catch up with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, so you can actually talk, laugh, and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. Great food, great vibes, and a great place to make memories. Definitely adding this to the regular rotation.

When we arrived after the ceremony, the manager on duty claimed he had no knowledge of the reservation and suggested we must have the wrong location. Even after being shown the confirmation, he offered no explanation. Once the wedding party arrived, he realized the mistake and asked for 20 minutes to prepare the room. That 20 minutes turned into nearly an hour. Fifteen formally dressed guests, including the bride and groom, were left standing outside in 90-degree heat waiting for a room that should have been ready before we arrived. When we were finally brought to the "private room," it appeared to be a hastily assembled space with tables and chairs thrown together and covered with tablecloths. It looked more like a storage area than a venue prepared for a wedding celebration. The setup was incomplete, with missing plates, utensils, napkins, and even serving utensils for the food. Service throughout the event was virtually nonexistent. To make matters worse, the food served to our group was bland, basic, and completely underwhelming for what was supposed to be a special occasion. Guests dining in the main restaurant appeared to be receiving far more appealing meals than what was provided to our private party. Mistakes happen. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of urgency, professionalism, or effort to make things right. No meaningful apology, no accommodation (they did reduce the bill after we addressed it with them ourselves) but even that reduction really should have been much more because mult guests left before they ate as it was a mid week wedding and they had limited time and there were also children in attendance), and no attempt to salvage what should have been a memorable first meal for a newly married couple and their families. This was an embarrassing and unacceptable experience. A wedding reception reservation is not something a restaurant should simply forget. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this establishment.
