Went to Cafe Hasbrouck Heights for breakfast on a weekday. It's a cute trendy looking cafe with seating but no public restroom. I had some work to do, and fortunately they have free wifi. I got a cold brew and a bacon, egg, and cheese croffle, which appears to be a croissant that has been toasted in a waffle maker. Both were solid and not too expensive. This used to be a great cafe with great staff. Everyone was very friendly and our food was made good. I was a repeat customer and recom them to everyone. Now their is a lot of new staff and they seem very rushed and rude. My usual drink and food that I get for my child was made different. When I asked them why, they said that's how it is supposed to be. They don't care about their customers anymore and they are not creating the food like they advertised. Husband got the BLT Croffle and Latte with oatmilk, and I got the breakfast Croffle and a Lavender Latte with oatmilk. Kiddo wanted macarons and got a Blue Lagoon drink. First time here and had a very pleasant experience. Walking my dog with my girlfriend and we stopped in for some drinks. I stayed outside with my dog and she comes out 10 min later with a bag lol. The packaging for the croffles are the cutest things I've ever seen. The best part was interacting with the owner Jaime. Jaime was very kind and patient while I figured out what I wanted. I never felt rushed and on a laid back day like today, I genuinely appreciated the service she gave. We were looking for mochi donuts in the area and wanted to buy them from a small local business. We bought two mochi donuts, churro and taro. They had been sitting out for a while so they were cold. Honestly not my favorite mochi donut and just ok for the price. They were nicely packed away in parchment paper, but this stuck to the icing and removed it from the donut.
