I've eaten at Gobong a couple of times and have also ordered takeout several times, and the service is always excellent. The owner and his family are incredibly friendly and courteous, and they truly make you feel welcome every time. The food is consistently delicious. I especially recommend the soy garlic and honey butter chicken wings. They're flavorful and perfectly cooked. I've been to this place 3x now and it's absolutely delicious. If you are patient, you will get a really tasty freshly made order. Approximately 20 min. Out of the sauces my two favorites are, the ranch and sweet chili. They add honey on top of the waffle fries. Normally, I'm not a fan of honey, but it was a little sweet and yummy. So happy that a Korean fried chicken place opened up near me. I got the wings here (plain, spicy soy garlic) and the wings were very big and I thought the skin on the plain wings were so crispy...easily one of the best in the area. The soy garlic sauce tasted a bit too sweet so I don't know if they put the wrong sauce on by accident but I would personally just stick with the original and maybe ask for sauce on the side since the skin is so crispy. I thought the prices here were noticeably lower than the other Korean fried chicken places so that's a huge plus. This place is defintely a family run business as you see two little children helping out where they can and the entire family is super nice. Absolute "must try" if you love Korean styled chicken. We ordered spicy soy garlic wings and plain fried chicken wings with two sauces on the side: Honey Butter - which is easily my favorite of all. Sweet & Spicy Everything was incredibly fresh and the chicken was SO cripsy yet incredibly moist. The plain wings don't have much flavor to them so you definitely will want to add a sauce on top or to dip in. This is a hidden gem in Carlstadt and we will definitely be back. read more

There are several Korean chicken spots in very close proximity to Gobong. Others are good but Gobong is GREAT! My husband and I were desperate for something quick, affordable, and delicious during our busy work week and saw Gobong pop up on UberEats. The pricing was great, we saw other positive reviews, so we decided to try. We got the boneless chicken (sweet and spicy) and the bone in wings (honey butter). We also ordered some fries. We were both very happy with our meal. The chicken was crunchy but tender and the fries were nice and crispy. Everything was packaged well! Now that I am making this review, I will be ordering again tonight! We can't wait to try other flavors and visit in person. read more

This is a really great Korean fried chicken restaurant. The chicken is very crispy, and the flavors to choose from are outstanding. I had the spicy soy garlic wings, and the honey butter wings. I was hesitant to try the honey butter because it's not usually a flavor I go for, but the kid at the register recommended it when I asked, and omg it was good! Prices are reasonable, and chicken is out of this world good. You can dine in, but the ambiance is more geared for take out.
