Such an adorable shop! The Americano was smooth & tasty. They had options for cannolis and gelato - which I wish I could have tried! The barista was friendly & provided quick service.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian spot in the heart of NJ, this is just the spot for you. The first time I tried the coffee here I knew I would be returning often. The cappuccino's are amazing, and taste exactly as they do in Rome. Definitely the best coffee I've had in all of NJ. The owners are the nicest people and are very warm and welcoming. They have done an excellent job at building their own community at this spot. Cannot rave enough about the coffee and the service. I haven't tried the pastries yet but they look excellent as well.

I'm originally from this area, but I'm visiting from Florida and discovered this Italian cafe today! I went in for a latte and got a cannoli for breakfast. The gentleman behind the counter was very courteous, making an outstanding latte! The atmosphere is very cozy, and I felt very comfortable while I enjoyed my breakfast. If you really enjoy coffee, this is the place to go! I'll be back over and over when I am here!

More cappuccino today - maybe I'll stroll by later and get a cannoli. Such a friendly place and I still love using the outdoor ordering window. Thank you, Michael!

Typically an establishment that is around for a long time does so because they have a core competency and they are damn good at it. From consistent ongoing execution that can survive through the times. Unfortunately, I didn't see this at Roma. The pastries (cheese cake and tiramisu) were slight below average. The cappuccino was your standard affair. I'd say the menu is a 3* but since they have really good service, I'm going to to with a 4*.

After my previous experience here, I persuaded a couple of girl friends to get the tea they wanted here, but it's impossible to get lured by the $3 lattes & cappuccinos here! I remember the crunchy freshly filled cannolis here, not too sweet & soft & creamy... so0o delish, my favs. And we had tried a new one that looked like a muffin but had a hint of lemon flavor, not at all overpowering & a had lightly sweet filling. We arrived there, place empty around 7:30pm & then people started filling up the place by 8:30-9:00pm. We hung out here for 2 hrs... We just had a great time together & it was a very welcoming place.

Latte with cinnamon and cocoa. Try the pistachio cheesecake with strawberry gelato... ;)

Cozy and with lots of personality from the stickies on the wall from customers to their decor. I ordered an Iced caramel latte and a savory everything croissant with a herb cream cheese filling that took me by surprise in a good way. Pricing was great as well. There was a point when it got pretty loud, to the point where I had to turn up the volume on my earbuds to stay focused. Just something to note if you're hoping for complete silence on a weekend. There's plenty of parking, but it is shared with the other businesses next door. The environment inside is what stood out the most to me. It has a very hippie, artsy vibe with greenery throughout and paintings on the walls that are actually for sale. Even with the foot traffic, the space still felt calm and peaceful overall. Service was okay, they were clearly busy. The bakery items were average, nothing crazy. I had a chocolate croissant, which was fine. I also ordered a latte. I'd definitely come back, mainly for the environment. It's a nice spot when you need some alone time to get work done. I'll probably try coming back on a weekday next time when there are hopefully fewer peoplebut honestly, I'd still come back even on a busy weekend.

Since Yemeni coffee and tea options aren't common for everyone, they take the time to explain the menu and answer questions, which I really appreciated. However, the Adeni Chai was the only saving grace of the visit. It was flavorful and well made, but the coffee was a massive disappointment. I tried the Jubani after the staff described it as a delicious light-roasted coffee packed with caffeine, but in reality, it tasted like bland cardamom water with absolutely no coffee flavor or body. It felt like I was just drinking hot spiced water. The atmosphere was also a major issue as there was no seating available whatsoever. The crowd was mostly of Middle Eastern descent and many were incredibly rude; people will bump right into you and not say a word. Even worse was the way some customers spoke to the workers, it was absolutely deplorable. Honestly, who raised you? It was uncomfortable to witness. The dessert selection was even worse. Most of what we ordered felt stale and old. The only thing worth eating was the bubble dessert with cheese because they actually toast it. We tried both the pistachio milk cake and the pistachio dream cake, and neither was impressive. The khattafi in the pistachio dream was the biggest letdown; it was so stale and bland I can't believe they actually put it out to sell when it was clearly weeks if not months old. The basboosa was also a disappointment, as it was a very small square of semolina cake for almost $5. Overall, It is not a good place for coffee or desserts, so if you do go, stick strictly to the Adeni chai.

The place was packed with a lot of people enjoying their evenings with their families and friends, so that was nice to see. After waiting in line for less than 5 minutes the staff took our order. It came in two cups without dairy but I feel like adding cream would have made it more viscous. We didn't find a table to sit at as it was busy but found a bench to share space. Everyone was super chill and we even were given extra almond oat milk to add. I didn't finish the whole cup but it was a memorable experience.

The shop is small with limited places to hang out -- there's a small counter where you can stand and sip your coffee. Otherwise, they have a few small tables outside. There's a second room which has cute merch and a fridge with additional cold beverages for sale. I tried the vanilla latte and took home some treats! The spinach handpie - basically a spinach/cheese breakfast pastry, the cinnamon roll (to die for!! It was fluffy and sweet but not overly sweet like other places are), and a pumpkin cheesecake bar with pomegranate seeds. What I really like about Erie is that they make all these delicious treats and once they are sold out, they're sold out. They don't make more for the rest of the day and they don't waste food. Our area has no shortage of bakeries but those of us that have sampled a number of them realize, there are truly ones that stand out from the rest. Erie Coffee Shop & Bakery is one of those bakeries! Cute old school bake shop. Really nice and professional staff. I went in trying to be "good" and not some out with a lot. Easier said than done in this bake shop. Everything looks amazing! I asked for recommendations and left with the citrus olive oil cake, chocolate chip cookie, almond cookie, and a Madeleine. Within a couple of hours, I devoured the citrus olive oil cake. Absolutely perfect! Hint of citrus and just the right amount of moist. Also, the perfect size to feel fulfilled without feeling overly guilty. Later that night, I went for the almond cookie. Amazing texture, truly better than any almond horn I've had. The next day, I broke a piece off of the chocolate chip cookie that we got for our daughter. Perfect cookie. Then I reached for the madeleine, better than any literary device I've ever had! Transported me to my couch, where I speechlessly consumed it with some tea! Awesome! I'll be back!
